This is very random but you strike me as a writer who enjoys media centered around real life history and is also inspired by it in their work (such as in NICIY and the story being set during The Wars of the Roses) and I think you’d love the film The Duchess if you have not seen it yet! It’s based on Georgiana, The Duchess of Devonshire and has all the themes you seem to enjoy/include in your work (an arranged marriage based on duty, forbidden romance, and a very intriguing female figure at the forefront who undergoes alot). Not sure if you enjoy period pieces but I think you’d quite enjoy the story if you find those type of narratives compelling :)
You absolutely have me figured out because I have seen The Duchess and it is one of my fav movies!!! 😍 My other favorite angsty, romantic, historical shows/movies are:

I'm finally clearing out my month old asks! Thank you so much for waiting 😭 I didn't know how to make this into a oneshot so here's another head canon! or think piece. However you view it, enjoy!
Joker's favorite nickname for you, hands down, is Bunny followed immediately by (his/my) Light.
He uses Light in more meaningful situations i.e.. when he's in his feels or being extremely affectionate. The meaning behind his Lighthouse is everything to him so he doesn't throw it around willy nilly.
Now his Bunny? Bunny could be your government name with how much he says it lol 🤣 its your unofficial code name within this operation. When Joker says "Bunny" or B, Frost, Mac, and Neo knows he's talking about you. Its a great way to discuss things pertaining to you in front of others while keeping your identity confidential.
Examples:
"Who has eyes on the Bunny?"
"Uhh Boss? You got a message from B. She asking what you want for dinner. I nominate that butter chicken she made two weeks ago.."
Other nicknames Joker uses is doll. Its self explanatory although it can be used sexually because it rolls of his tongue so easily. It falls in his more playful banter lineup, but still very universal. Now Baby doll is top tier. Its an automatic compliment! Whenever you hear baby doll, you know you look fione or you know that Joker is being super sweet. Insert heart eyes and a dopey smile directed at you. 😍
Sugar is a relatively new one that J is testing the waters with alongside Donut. If you read Slippery When Wet or the dickcussion head canon then you'll know why he's using it. Y/n is not a fan of donut for obvious reasons.
Another name that J will use is sweetheart. Its used more for sarcastic vibes but it can also rile you up if he uses it sexually.
Which leads us to Joker's favorite nickname in bed. Princess is used exclusively for sex. When he says it, you know what mood he's in, what he's thinkin about, and what's gonna happen. And girl? You better be ready. Joker almost always bites his lip after he says Princess. It holds power and he only uses it when the two of you are alone.
Oh and I almost forgot about pretty girl! Its another one that J uses when he's being playful since he normal says, "pretty little head" a lot. He loves your intelligence and his pretty girl needs to be reminded every day! Calling out for his Pretty girl is a normal greeting whenever Joker comes home. Or a quick, "Hey pretty girl" if the two of you are out in public and get separated.
Now out of all of these what's Y/n's favorite? It took you ages to accept it but Bunny is your fav. Princess makes you blush, and there's plenty of others that make your eyes roll and groan.
Joker is always finding new names to call you and he's got countless others up his sleeve 👀
But know this. When he uses your real name: you know he's serious.

Agreed, his filmography is filled with so many treasures. The Producers has been on my watchlist for several months and I've not gotten around to seeing it yet. I'm savoring his films because I typically binge watch actors' filmographies, but I want to take my time with Gene's🥺 I have a feeling that Leo Bloom is going to become a favorite of mine. I've heard mixed reviews about The Woman in Red and I'm not sure it's a film I'd be interested in seeing, though I'm sure Gene does a wonderful job as usual. I have actually seen a few misconceptions about me in a few asks that I received recently. FYI (to all my new followers) I have been here since 2021 and I'm a jikook and BTS based blog. I post both jikook and bts related content. Just because I'm more leaned towards jikook in this blog, doesn't mean I can't post bts content.. I am a 0T7! I love bts with my whole heart and I will post regularly about bts members. Be it group posts, dynamic posts or bts solo career posts. All 7 of them are precious.
I miss all them but I hope we will embark on this new journey called Chapter two together 💜

Since you liked one piece, what do you think of Shanks x Makino???!! (there's an author on tumblr/ao3, miss mungoe who write INCREDIBLE fics for them - and 1 Rayleigh x shakki)
She also wrote for Mihawk x Boa Hancock and I cannot recommend that pairing enough like..even in Canon it would be the perfect ship for her like.. given the character and history of Hancock...(i mean, maybe I'm influenced by the marvelous fics of missmungoe) ..but it's one of the only pairing for her I think where they would stand 'equally' if you know what I mean ( I'm not gonna write an essay on them here but really I COULD)

I’m sorry, how’ve you been with that? I’ll never understand your loss but I do understand your bond, I have an older sibling and she means a lot to me. It’s funny huh they know how to tick you off but at the end of the day your each other’s missing piece.
Ohh okay good questions!! I do have a cat. I’ll show you pictures when I reveal myself but she’s a grey tabby!! I adore her and found her in the streets lol I have an older sister aaand my favorite hobby is crochet it gives my hands something to do yanno? I get pretty antsy so that helps. I wanna learn bass or maybe drums in the future (I heard the ladies love a girl who plays an instrument and I need something—anything to impress lol) jk I love the sound them 😊 okay, I’ll keep this short buuut I love villains because how misunderstood they are, most of them are woman and our feelings are belittled even in the media. It’s always “they’re crazy” or “you can’t excuse their behaviors because of their trauma” failing to realize that not everyone comes out of trauma as a soft uwu. Trauma isn’t pretty. And most men are forgiven by the public even after making terrible decisions. Some actions become a defensive mechanism and we just want what we deserve. People fail to see that with woman. Men get to feel rage and destruction and literally nobody bats an eye, that behavior is so normalized god forbid woman feel that same intensity of rage and selfishness without the public making entire studies about their behavior. I think 2 of my favorites that I can think of at the top of my head are Catra from shera and Jinx from Arcane. Maybe I’m bias? Now your turn, hobbies? What tv show are you currently watching? Hiii, how are you? First of all, I love ALL your Steve fanfics! I started reading on ao3, commented like crazy in A LOT of them. My first one was Attached(that fanfic is perfection btw 😍😍😍)! Your Steve fanfics are almost therapeutic to me, you write him so comforting/adorable/safe! I love your reader since I can really identify myself with them😂 My favorite ones are "Just a human" but the one I re-read over and over again, my fav, my baby is "One door closes...". first off this story is so dear to my heart, I was obsessed w Hans Christian Anderson as a kid, like dress up as him and went to school obsessed, so I LOVED that they gave him his flowers at the start
as a pisces (i know) I'm a fucking fan for all the nautical shit, fathoms below, mermaid/siren lore, locations, the little details, really well done
the colors were more saturated than I had given them credit for based on the trailer
the score and arrangements were fabulous no complaint from me
on that note, Halle can sing like nobody's business, sounds v much like Jodi, such a beautiful voice
underwater effects 10/10
also wasn't mad at the glitter nail polish and shiny/scale skin
halle's makeup and hair underwater, trash. but on land sooo good. could this not have been restored with...effects of some kind my brother in christ?

and for under the sea, yeah jellyfish, starfish, and sea slugs are sick as hell.....but WHAT ABOUT FISH!?

also the climate change nod, yes of course this is such an important issue, but can I just fucking escape politics and the real world and enjoy a fantastical tale about mermaids??? do I really need to be constantly reminded of humanity's defects I just cant-

okay so it’s not my business and i guess i get it for newcomers to this site to see a name and assume it’s the actual celebrity but it always makes me laugh when i see those types of asks 🤣 anyways
hello again winnie! so about universal studios yes it is a theme park but it has backlots and sets where shows are filmed so it has two types of tours. one comes with the park (the studio tour) where it takes you around the backlot and you see different sets where movies were filmed like back to the future and it doubles as two rides with king kong and fast&furious. one of the best things about the park tbh. the one that costs extra is the vip tour and they walk you around the park and take you to warehouses where set pieces are kept and you don’t have to wait in the lines as much. if you ever go i’d recommend going during halloween just because they do extra but either way the food is good and makes it worth the price. i used to work there and i may have access to some leftover tickets if you’re interested!
&yes! it is so good i’m only on s3 but castle and casket have me in a chokehold. though now i wish i had watched aos since you seem to like it more 😅 so please lmk!
well now i’m jealous i wanted to play the violin and yes i play the flute and saxophone. also want to learn how to play the harp. i love the sound, like it seems so calming. so you’ve done recitals? did you enjoy them? sorry to hear that you were forced to play instruments you never wanted to but i have to admit that i laughed at the side comment 😆
i try to listen to a bit of everything but mainly r&b and pop. i like rock music and i’ve been getting into classical too. it makes nice background noise when i’m making edits.

I've always wonder what it's like to work in a theme park, I've seen so many people working over at Disneyland during the summers in uni. But I just didn't think I'm right for the job, can't stand the heat/ sun and generally not a cheery person. But people seems to have lots of fun. Just wondering though, do your tickets have expiry dates 😅
Omg now that you're on s3, can we talk about the s2 finale?!!!!! It always had me in tears 😭😭😭😭 they could've been together right then & there. I mean I get it, they're kinda the main couple, so the writers had to drag out their relationship for multiple seasons to come. But still talk about bad timing 😵💫😵💫😵💫 also, s2 is probably one of my fav, especially the 2 episodes case tick tick tick & boom 😍 there're gonna be some iconic scenes in s3, not gonna spoil it for you.
Do I like aos more than castle?! I don't think so. I just happened to be obsessing with AoS when I started giffing and I guess I got too comfortable, like I know the scenes, which ones work well with each other etc. Castle will always have a special place in my heart, and Kate Beckett is my first on screen idol, like nothing will quite live up to your first love. But aos did come close. Personally I was already really interested in this kind of black ops operation in the marvel movies and wished they had more screen time, and marvel turning it into a TV show is basically a dream come true. I just love Melinda May since ep 1, and has been relating to her since ep 2, and I don't think I've ever related to a character this much. Like female badasses are often written as cold and closed off with the excuse of a traumatic experience, and there's little depths to their characters, either because it's a movie or a series that didn't survive long enough for character devInnelopment. But with May, sure the tropes applied, but even early on you can see that she has a heart and that she cares very deeply. And that she smiles and play jokes secretly. Her whole quiet, stoic personality wasn't necessarily the outcome of the trauma, but more so just who she is, and it just felt very natural and genuine to me and I relate soooo much, and I guess her being Chinese helped with that too. Like it was from that moment I understand how important diversity and representation are to so many people.
This got kinda long, but you got me into talking about castle & aos so it's bound to happen. I would highly recommend aos if you like sci-fi & marvel. They had more tie-ins with the movies in s1-s3, but honestly the show got better when they kinda diverged from it and did their own thing. The writing is pretty mind blowing, and the fight scenes & cgi got better each season. It's ridiculous the amount of stuff they did in the timeframe they had. My personal favs are s1 & s4, s1 mostly for nostalgia and it was the world/ characters building season, s4 (maybe ep 9 forward) was simply phenomenal. S5 was mind blowing you'll probably have to watch it twice to understand everything 😅
Harp is such a beautiful instrument, but it's like huge and expensive. Where I live, very few people's apartments are big enough to store that. So it's a very rich people kind of instrument to us. And I have only listened to it in a handful of occasions. But I know more kids are learning it these days, because apparently piano is too basic 😒 The only recitals I've done are in competitions and exams and idk if it counts, and those are really stressful. But I do enjoy playing the piano in front of (non-judgy) friends & families where we just basically chill, usually people I play in front of know how to play it too so they wouldn't care if there's a slip or it's not perfect etc. It's more so sharing what pieces we were playing at the moment.
I would say violin could be way more complicated, but idk how it compares to playing the flute because I know it is hard to play the flute well too. But I think it wouldn't hurt to take some lessons and see if you like it or not.
I'm not really into sports, but I do like swimming and it's pretty much the only thing I did as a kid. I just love being in the water, it's so calming & cooling. Just the pools though, preferably indoors, the beach really isn't for me. I've always wanted to learn Kung Fu was a kid, like I can feel it in my blood, but my parents only made my younger brother who doesn't want to learn it to go to taekwondo lessons, and don't allow me to go. As a kid, I thought because it's not ladylike, but I found out years and years later it's because my parents saw that I was so good at it and I often fight with my brother (because he's an a**hole as a kid) and there's pretty much no fighting chance for my brother, so my parents wanted to equip him with some fighting skills. But jokes on them, he hates it and drops it after a couple lessons and I kinda resented them for that. It wasn't until in my early 20s that my dad suggested we take some lessons from a Thai boxing coach that his colleagues recommended, because I gained quite some weight after my weight loss rebound. My whole family went for the first couple of lessons, and the coach straight up asked if I have learnt wing chun (another type of Kung Fu) before because I punch like that style, and I said no I've never had any lessons, then I turned to my mum and said now you see how you've wasted a Kung Fu talent (kidding not kidding). I need to work on my cardio but I would say my instincts are pretty good, even more so as a kid, it got "duller" overtime because I often being called "over reactive" to stimuli (like getting hit/ touch accidentally by people/ objects).
I'm more of a TV show kind of person, especially those 20+ eps per season like how it used to be. There's more room for character development and more things for me to obsess over. Good movies are like a nice treat, but I watched it and moved on. Some of my favourite series are hp, Narnia, marvel, basically the ones I grew up with.
Favourite foods: Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Italian, French (mostly pastries & desserts)
We don't do much for Christmas but I've always loved my mum's gingerbreads. I used to look forward to Starbuck's peppermint mocha, but it has kinda been discontinued here for years. I actually went to a Starbucks while travelling in the states just to get peppermint mocha 🤣 I do love peppermint, in tea, sweets, chocolate, etc.
The bigger holiday we celebrate is actually Chinese new year a month later. My mum always makes all these traditional foods and snacks and they're so delicious, store bought ones, even the fanciest ones can't compare (especially the first 2 pics). It's like a lot of work. I'll just put in some pics for you in case you have no idea what I'm talking about 😅
And then there're ones that we just buy from the store.
Basically a lot of fried food 😅
I always say I don't talk much, but when asked the right questions I blab on and on about it, hope you don't mind.
