Okay y'all, I'm getting asks about links and subtitles and such, SO
Here is everything I currently have links for:
Avgrunden - Edvin and Felicia (now on Netflix)
Gåsmamman - Edvin
Fejk - Malte and Frida (first episode's subs are a bit wacky looking but they're accurate still)
Karusell - Omar
If there's more you want me to look for, let me know. I can either find them or I can make them. I'm currently looking for Karusell, but besties that thing is nowhere and I'm pretty sure it's going to Prime(?)
ANYWAY I hope y'all enjoy your watching experiences. 💜

The Top 40 Most Popular Operas, Part 1 (#1 through #10)
A quick guide for newcomers to the genre, with links to online video recordings of complete performances with English subtitles.
Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart)
The most frequently performed opera worldwide: Mozart's fascinating, philosophical fairy tale opera, which appeals to both children and adults.
San Francisco Opera, 2010 (Piotr Beczala, Dina Kuznetsoca, Christopher Maltman, Erika Miklosa, Georg Zeppenfeld; conducted by Donald Runnicles)
Verdi's La Traviata
Tragic romance with social commentary, based on Alexandre Dumas fils' novel The Lady of the Camellias, which was also the basis for the classic 1936 Greta Garbo film Camille.
Los Angeles Opera, 2006 (Renée Fleming, Rolando Villazon, Renato Bruson; conducted by James Conlon)
Bizet's Carmen
The fiery tragedy of a seductive, free-spirited Spanish Romani woman and her loves, with some of opera's most iconic music.
Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, 2006 (Anna Caterina Antonacci, Jonas Kaufmann, Ildebrando d'Arcancelo, Norah Ansellem; conducted by Antonio Pappano)
Puccini's La Bohéme
Relatable slice-of-life romance that blends comedy and tragedy. The inspiration for the popular musical RENT.
Studio film, 1965 (Mirella Freni, Gianni Raimondi, Rolando Panerai, Adriana Martino; conducted by Herbert von Karajan)
Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro)
The best loved of Mozart's Italian operas, a great comedy of class conflict and sexual intrigue.
Glyndebourne Festival Opera, 1994 (Gerald Finley, Alison Hagley, Renée Fleming, Andreas Schmidt, Marie-Ange Todorovich; conducted by Bernard Haitink)
Puccini's Tosca
Political intrigue, lust, and bloodshed amid the splendor of Rome – some call it a "shabby little shocker," others call it thrilling.
Vienna State Opera, 2019 (Sondra Radvanovsky, Piotr Beczala, Thomas Hampson; conducted by Marco Armiliato)
Mozart's Don Giovanni
Arguably the greatest retelling of the legend of Don Juan, with comedy, drama, and Mozart's glorious music.
Salzburg Festival, 1954 (Cesare Siepi, Otto Edelmann, Elisabeth Grümmer, Anton Dermota, Lisa della Casa, Erna Berger, Walter Berry Deszö Ernster; conducted by Wilhelm Furtwängler)
Puccini's Madama Butterfly
Puccini's iconic "Japanese tragedy." Controversial from a racial standpoint, but a tearjerker nonetheless, and the inspiration for the musical Miss Saigon.
Feature film, 1995 (Ying Huang, Richard Troxell, Ning Liang, Richard Cowan; conducted by James Conlon)
Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville)
The lighter and more madcap prequel to The Marriage of Figaro, known as the quintessential comic opera.
Vienna State Opera, 2019 (Rafael Fingerlos, Juan Diego Flórez, Margarita Gritskova, Paolo Rumetz, Sorin Coliban; conducted by Evelino Pidò)
Verdi's Rigoletto
A richly melodic tragedy of a hunchbacked jester, his daughter, a lecherous duke, and a self-fulfilling curse.
Studio film, 1982 (Ingvar Wixell, Luciano Pavarotti, Edita Gruberova; conducted by Riccardo Chailly)

Who the FUCK is doing the english subtitles for Daily Dose of Sunshine on Netflix?????!!! It's so freaking bad I want to scream, especially since it's a pretty good show. Why is a line as simple as "do you have a boyfriend?" translated to "are you spoken for?" LIKE WHAT?! If someone is saying "thank you," why is it translated as "I'm so happy?????" Netflix really needs to invest in better translators, or at least have them double checked because it's getting old and it's such a disservice to the actual writing of shows and how clever some lines are.

Link Click Musical lyrics translation ✨🎶
@elaraqwq translated and made a subtitled video of the special encore ver of 'Words can't convey the love'. It's available on youtube here🌟
Wang Minhui and Bai Zhuoming switch roles and LG sings the song instead of CXS. So not only do we have a full song translation but the additional dialogue they added only for that one performance is also subbed 🙏💙🧡

Mia and Me season 4 English subs, resumed? More likely than you think
*Slams door open* MY GOOD FELLOWS I HAVE NEWS
Alright, I must admit that after the issues I had with MEGA I ended up accidentally putting the project on hold for *counts on fingers* seven months, but I have now found a better place where I can upload the episodes! A wonderful place where anything can be preserved: the Internet Archive :D
At some point I ended up thinking "At this point the English dub will be already out, so I guess this is not needed" but then I found out it came out in German but not in English (as far as I know) so I feel this project is worth another shot!
I am currently uploading the three episodes I already subtitled back in March and I will eventually upload the following episodes on the same page, so you will end up seeing a tidy playlist for your own enjoyment, as you can see in this screenshot
Tumblr media
You can find the first two episodes here: Mia and Me Season 4 (Italian Audio, English Subtitles) : LovingLapisLazuli : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive
(yes the url says 04x03 but that's because I accidentally uploaded ep 3 first and couldn't change the url while editing the file XD)

Watch Ep. 12 of Idaten Jump here or with this link:
https://youtu.be/OWtAlguwfFw
Tumblr media
TLDR; ANNOUNCEMENT: Next update (Ep. 13) on 4th of February 2024.
Hey there everyone! Thank you for watching and for all the support you guys give through likes and comments. I really really appreciate it.
Unfortunately, ya girl is doing her bachelor's simultaneously while subbing these episodes and Jan, Feb and March are going to be quite busy for me. I know a 25 minute episode doesn't seem that long but when you're translating, it takes a hell lot of time haha~
So, what I'm asking for is your understanding to the fact that the schedule's gonna be off for this short while. Normally, I update every 2 weeks but this time, Ep. 13 will be uploaded on 4th February instead of the expected 21st Jan. I will be trying to make sure that the following episodes would be done in the usual timeframe but I can't make any promises because college and exams will be taking up a lot of my time.
I only ask for your understanding and continued support 🙇🏻‍♀️ I'm not dropping the show, I'm not taking a break either – the episodes are simply going to take longer to come out. That's all! Thank you so much for everything ♡

Finally decided to make a masterpost for a little passion project I’ve been working on as of lately - fanmade English subs for a Russian series I enjoyed a lot more than I expected to! I’ll try my best to update this post with new translations weekly, but, for now - have the first four episodes of the show :]
Cybervillage is a series about two ex business partners - Konstantin Baragosin, who continued their corporate business, and Nikolai Kulibin, who made a small village on Mars, became a farmer, and lives a peaceful life there…a life that starts crumbling down after years later old friends meet again, to share out a piece of land they both need. Of course it doesn’t lead to anything good, and in mere seconds Kolya loses his home while Kostya loses…well, everything. Now, these two have no choice, but to forget their old grudges and help each other out, making friends and foes along their way.

My silly ass made subs for the first two episodes in Power Director, but the rest of the episodes have subs that you can turn on by pressing CC button and choosing "English" in that Google Doc I gave you a link to

I finished my very first podcast translation today 😊 and I am glad to share it with the lovely remains of the tumblr fandom 😄. In my opinion this is one of the best and most interesting podcasts with Bård that we got within the last 2 years (besides the Stian Blipp one) and thats why I wanted to translate it to make it accessable to you all.
Since I translated from one foreign language to another, it´s not perfect and I left some little gaps whenever something was too difficult to understand. But I still hope, whoever listens to it, enjoys it. 😁 The subs might get edited and improved over time too. To give you a quick summary: pastries, music, guitars, walkman 😎

English subtitles for Blutige Anfänger
Hello! On the mega link, you can find the translated episodes. I will translate them in numerical order but please note that it is a really time consuming job. Also neither English or German is my native language, so there might be some mistakes.
Edit: here's the mega folder for season 5
Edit 2: The S5 videos are in AV1 codec, which isn't supported by all video players.

Honestly quite good (albeit probably coincidental) NB representation/depiction from a German 70s Christmas Comedy
I found the video on reddit and thought tumbler might like it. Here is the original post:
