I think the cutest thing about listening to Taylor's music since she started dating Joe is hearing the little words she's picked up on from spending time with him/in the UK. When you love people you subconsciously almost adopt things they say or ways they say it.
Like in Reputation when she says "fancy me not fancy stuff" or in Lover saying "babes don't threaten me with a good time".
I realised after hearing Anti Hero that Americans wouldn't use the phrase tea time but Joe as an Englishman would. It makes sense she'd pick up on that especially if the album was written while he was away and she missed him

Currently my favorite English phrase:
“Let’s blow this popsicle stand!”
So at some point I decided to look this up and apparently it just means to… leave?? That’s it? But why tho? What does that have to do with blowing up a popsicle stand? Because the only thing I think about when someone says blow like that is making things go boom. What even is this phrase it’s so funny like- why?!?

I’ve always thought of the phrase “so long” as a old timey way to say “ in your dreams” like it means you’ll be longing to see me again.
Like if it was in the form of letters one person would end it with
‘I will long for you embrace and the touch of your lips until i no longer know my own name’
And then the other who does not reciprocate the feelings would reply with
‘So long.’
Like that’s what I’ve interpreted it as.
