So I saw a TikTok from someone in one of the states that banned abortion talking about how most people responded by telling them “¿why don't you just move?” & they said “because this is home, and moving is expensive”. (/srs)
& I was thinking, it's not just that. If you always run from / leave every place something bad happens, eventually the bad spreads to the whole planet because nothing is being done. No laws are being challenged. No representatives &/or senators &/or politicians are being called. No real change is being enacted. (/srs)
& ¿looking at my situation? We're autistic, ADHD, disabled, a system, polyamorous, trans nonbinary, & demiromantic + as-xual. No matter where we go, there will be at least one law or policy (& many angry, hateful, or apathetic people, & people that are violent because they don’t understand) that endangers us & our identity/diagnoses/orientation/etc. (/srs)
¿Where are we supposed to move to? ¿Outer space? ¿Another planet? (/sarcastic, a little snarky)
Even if there were other planets that we livable, other Earthlings would follow & bring all their problems, apathy, hatred, etc. with them. It wouldn't stay safe. (/srs)
¿Do you understand? (/rhetorical)
Problems aren’t solved by running & starting over somewhere new, or by blaming the people who can’t leave. They’re solved by starting where you already are & making change happen. They’re solved by being empathetic, sympathetic, & compassionate. They’re solved by remembering that the people living there are still people, & are human, & deserve help. (/srs, frustrated)
¿Do you understand? (/rhetorical)
Okay to reblog, but hate & unhelpful bs will be blocked.

Unpopular opinion: Sam Smith is cool & valid
Tumblr media
CW: transphobia, nonbinary hate
Every time I see an article pop up about Sam Smith, there’s a bunch of nasty, transphobic comments and jokes from people even if it’s not an article related to Sam’s gender. And, additionally a lot of people keep saying “Sam Smith has changed so much!”
It all makes me genuinely angry because Sam Smith is such a cool person and talented singer.
So, here is my post defending them because they are so valid and undeserving of the hate and ruthless laughs they’ve been getting.
Their gender identity
I can’t remember when exactly, but I BELIEVE it was a few years ago that Sam came out as nonbinary, stating their preferred pronouns are they/them. Cool. Good for Sam. I was and still am happy for them!
But of course, after this, a lot of people didn’t want to respect this. So, Sam has been continuously misgendered and called “delusional” (which is sadly very common transphobic behavior).
It’s really sad to me that there are still so many close-minded people out there who can’t accept people using gender neutral pronouns and don’t understand that they literally use they/them pronouns singularly ALL THE TIME for strangers with indeterminable gender. Like, bigots, use your brain for two goddamn seconds…
“Oh there’s someone sitting over there. I don’t know who they are.”
“I haven’t met my new neighbor yet but I heard they have a dog. Their dog barks a lot at night. I don’t know how that doesn’t bother them.”
You can also do a very quick Google search and find out that they/them has been used singularly for centuries now. It is basic English language.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is not strictly plural and not used only when referring to more than one person. The proof is there.
Also if you’ve had the luxury of never having to worry or question your gender at any point in your life, it must be fucking nice, because us trans and enby people have not had that luxury. And, what makes it even harder is that society squishes gender into boxes.
But, you see, enby folks don’t fit into these boxes. They don’t fully identify (or don’t identify at all) with their assigned gender at birth.
Coming from me who’s trans enby, at first, I didn’t fully understand how someone can internally feel that they’re a woman, a man, or neither. I can understand where that confusion comes from. However, I got some clarity and realized there can be a lot of internal discomfort over having to view yourself as the gender you were given at birth and that others perceive you as that gender. Or, that maybe you simply have a stronger preference of feeling a different gender (or none) over the one given to you.
I remember reading a really great article about Sam Smith regarding their perspective on this. Sam said they’ve always felt they’re nonbinary, and that they feel just as much womanly as they do manly (not the exact wording, but something along the lines of that). And seriously, good for them for confidently explaining that! That open representation is so important.
The change in their appearance
I will say that this is absolutely a mountain made out of a mole hill.
Sam gets put down for their weight and their fashion choices that don’t “flatter” their figure. It is truly disgusting to me that people bring their weight into this. People naturally lose and gain weight, it’s not uncommon. It shouldn’t be seen as gross or controversial. We’re all human.
In my opinion, Sam’s outfit and costume designs are so amazing and very fitting for who they are as a person. Also, you can just look at Sam and see how happy they are being themselves and wearing what they want to wear. There’s so much pure joy and confidence.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I feel like Sam really came into their own with both their identity and fashion sense, which I have such strong admiration for. I don’t know how people can tear others down for finding themselves and doing what obviously makes them very happy. I think it’s a lot of self projection.
It’s not that there’s anything wrong with wanting to fit into the typical styles women and men have - that’s perfectly okay! It’s a problem when you feel it’s okay to force others to fit into the “normal” type of fashion. And, honestly, I’m willing to bet if all kinds of style were completely acceptable in society, a lot of those same people who make fun of people like Sam would also develop their own sense of style that wouldn’t necessarily fit what’s currently deemed as “normal.”
Also, I wanted to mention one of the most controversial outfits (aside from the one where Sam’s nips were out) - the devil suit and hat. This was seen as worshipping and promoting Satanism despite it being one of Sam’s more reserved outfits.
But, legit, it was a costume for a song that is called Unholy?! It fits the narrative of the song and doesn’t even measure up to the level of controversial past singers’ costumes that are - as we’ll say - unholy.
The change in their music
Putting Sam’s presentation aside, there are people who think Sam has changed their style of music, too. But, as an active listener of their music, I can tell you this has only been the case for their more popular songs lately.
Unholy and I’m Not Here to Make Friends are undeniably different from Sam’s old popular hits. However, if you are in fact a big fan of theirs, you would’ve listened to their latest album and known that most of the songs on there are still in fact very much the same style as their past hits.
If you preferred Sam’s style of music before Unholy and I’m Not Here to Make Friends became popular, listen to their other songs on the latest album Gloria. I highly recommend How to Cry, Fire on Fire, No God, and Lose You. They’re still very much the same as Sam’s older hits and are absolutely beautiful songs.
Conclusion
I think Sam is amazing. They’re just being themselves and they’re incredible for showing others it’s okay to embrace your own personal identity and style.
I don’t think Sam has done or said anything foul that would make people hate them, unless I’m unaware of something that happened. So, from what I’m understanding, they’re a joke to a lot of people - particularly the bigots - simply because they’re being the person that they are.
It’s easy for these people to sit behind their computers at home and pitch a fit about Sam “changing” and say nasty things about them. They’re definitely jealous that they don’t have half the talent and confidence Sam has, plus the super cool outfits. However, I can’t let these people continue acting this way towards Sam without calling them out. Why? Because it’s still spreading more hate that ends up extending beyond the internet into the real world.
Sam Smith has not only received this wave of hate on the internet, but they’ve gotten insulted (and I think even spat on) in public just for living their life authentically. It makes me so upset. These people need to be stopped and called out for their disgusting behavior.
Leave people alone for being who they are. They’re not hurting you. And if you feel hurt by just them existing, go touch some grass and figure yourself out, pal.

Unsurprisingly this freak and her equally mentally deluded groomer friends see enbies as “man/woman” lite and don’t realize how gross and enbyphobic it is to put binary genders on non binary people or seeing them as “diet” genders

Ouch I wish I could share you the tiktok video of Bi person I saw but unfortunately I scrolled it. But in comments you can see Bi people saying the exact same thing. In a Korean show korean BI men have said they chose to date a women to be safe. Korean bi girl said she dates both men and women but she'll eventually marry a man because she wants a family. You can't be screaming bi phobia and bi erasure when it's Bi sexuals themselves say these thing. I'm bi myself.. even if I'm physically more attracted to girls than guys, if I dating someone it will be a man.
Acting like people make things are stupid when there's receipts all over internet and in our real lives too. And I still stand with what I said.. that it's stupid to think a Bisexual idol will chose to openly date a man for these many years is stupid af. Or maybe he's bi but with a very big male preference and especially he could be enby the feminine part in him might be automatically attracted to a man .. that's the only way it makes sense.
Each time you open your mouth you sound ignorant as hell.
People are allowed to have preferences and that's alright but It's equally stupid wrong and ignorant to assume your preferences is everyone's preference. BI QUEER SEXUALITY IS NOT MONOLITHIC.
You sound like a straight person saying well I like tall girls, all straight men must like tall girls then and it's stupid any straight man would want to be with a short girl for this long because tall girls are the default I mean they're tall- look at them. How can anyone not want tall girls. They can reach the top of the shelves and when you get to the bridge we'll you don't need a bridge they have tall legs. Isn't it insane to think straight men would want tall girls? All straight men like tall girls. I know so because I'm straight and I saw a bunch of straight men on tiktok saying the same thing.
You really aren't Bi I know that from your own line of reasoning. Performative bisexuality is what you and your cohorts are.

Welcome to my blog!
Tumblr media
Hello!! Welcome to murruspins :3!
This is a special interest blog, however it also kind of acts like a diary. I write down what I’m thinking or hyperfixating on, same goes with my regular interests! This blog will also have alot of alterhuman content, as it’s a big part of my identity!
Tumblr media
About the owner of this blog…
My name is Murruyu! I’m a transfem enby, and would prefer if you used they/it/xe on me aswell as fem + neutral terms! If you don’t respect my pronouns, I’ll simply block you, no biggie! 🤍
My special interests are mcyt (hermitcraft & life series specifically), horror, metal music and bio! When I say bio and horror, I mean all aspects. I love horror games, movies, shows, etc. And I love all biology paths/subtypes! (Eg: wildlife bio, botany, palaeontology, and more!)
I’m the host of a minor bodied DID system, however I won’t get into that much on this blog, as this is my personal blog! However, I will talk about our physical disabilities because they impact my everyday life, and this is a diary blog after all! [I will mainly talk about my EDS and CFS]
As I said before.. I am an alterhuman! More specifically, here is a link to all my kintypes!
This list may be updated/edited in the future, but for now, these are all of my (known) kintypes! Some stronger than others. More specifically, I have a super strong connection to the feline clade, more so than my other kintypes. Obviously, due to being alterhuman, I do not identify as human. I instead identify as my kintypes, I may post about my alter-humanity frequently 🫶
I am ALWAYS looking for moots/friends!! Click here to see my interests + adult mutuals are okay, just no dms!
Tumblr media
DNI/BYI
DNI:
• People who hate on ANY of my special interests. No offence, but you’re not welcome here, this is my safe space! [PS: being afraid of horror or animals is not the same as hating on them, if you have a phobia of something that’s completely fine! Just don’t insult my spintrest on my page 🤍]
• Anti alterhuman, Anti Age regression, Anti pet regression
• Endogenic systems, Profic/Proship/Darkship/anything that fits into that category.
• FURBY BLOGS!!!!! Furby centred blogs/Blogs with furbys as their theme/pfp dni. Moots r okay but please add a warning whenever you post them 😭🫶. I’m terrified of those little things.
BYI:
• I’m autistic, I need tonetags! If you’re going to ask anything, I’d appreciate you using tonetags so I can understand you better! :3
• Adults may not ask to be my friends, No offence, just for boundary and comfort reasons, I am a minor after all. Mutuals are fine!
• I generally do not engage in discourse, if that’s something you’d like to know before following! This blog is focused on being diary, alterhuman and interest themed!!
• This is my main blog! If I’m active, it’s probably here. But my side blogs are…
> @liostims , my stim blog
> @lovesicksyndicate , our sys blog
> @faunafeature , my animal info dump blog
> @kiyoscove , my agere blog
> @murrupurrs , my petre blog
… Please keep in mind many of these blogs may be inactive, as this is my main!

I had two experiences today, both very similar but both made me feel different,
First experience I was wearing a pink outfit, and most of the outfit was made up of men’s clothing, I even had a bag with my pronouns (he/him) and a pin that says ‘boy’, I went to the pharmacy and since my name isn’t legally changed they immediately assumed I was a girl/woman, immediately they complimented my outfit but kept calling me she/her and it made me so dysphoric and uncomfortable, I felt like I was going to throw up cause of how bad it was, I couldn’t correct them cause I’m still working through my Social phobia, my mom was there and she didn’t correct them either, I felt sick,
Later today I wore a outfit I would describe as Y’allternative, (cowboy hat, Tripp pants, jungle boots, chains and spike collar, and a black trench coat) and I went to the grocery store with my sibling, as soon as we walked in this person (who I assume is also queer in some way) complimented my outfit and I felt amazing I couldn’t hold back my smile while I said thank you, I felt like myself, and confident..
I’m really torn about this, I really like pink, it’s usually one of my favorite colours, but the constant misgendering EVEN WITH A PRONOUN PIN, makes me feel so fucking dysphoric, I really don’t want to be perceive as a woman, the idea of people viewing me as a woman makes me feel sick from the dysphoria, yes I may be gender-fluid but never once have I felt like a girl, even as a child! I literally changed my name first at 7, then at 10 I came out (at first as enby but it never felt right and I only did that cause I had attempted coming on as ftm and my mom lashed out(don’t worry she’s extremely accepting now)
What makes me feel worst is that I really want to grow my hair out and wear braids like I did as a kid (I’m half Yaqui) but I fear that that would make me misgendered more,
I wish people would just ask my pronouns instead of just assuming I’m a girl, (also I’ve literally been on T for 9 months)

hi hi! congrats on finding out your identity, i’m really happy for you!
if you dont mind, for the ask game how about 🌱💙? (if it’s too personal you dont have to answer hshdhdjs)
THANK YOU IAN 🫵 THAT MEANS A LOT!! 💞
And no they're not too personal for me dw!! I love talking about my Queer journey anyways
🌱 - How would your younger self act if your current self told them they were queer?
This is so funny to me actually, because when I was 13 I also identified as demigirl/nonbinary for a very short time, but I fell into the "non binary people aren't real" crowd and I internalised SO MUCH enby-phobia that I fell back into thinking I was cis (and even straight). Then I actually MET enby people and my eyes were opened LMAO
13 year old me would agree we are, 14-15 year old me would think we became insane. It's been a really weird journey honestly, especially since I was so young and impresionable, but hey I'm surviving it now so 🫶
💙 - When you first learned about the Queer community, did you immediately realize ‘That’s me!’ Or did you consider yourself a ‘really good ally’ for some time?
I considered myself an ally, now if I was a good one that's super debatable lmao 😭
But once I made Queer friends, both online and irl, I started understanding what it means to be Queer more, and how to be a better ally— and then I realised I'm Queer myself and my whole world CHANGED.
Fun fact, every single friend I came out to as bi or even enby said: "You finally realised it, about time!" I'm so obvious to them sobs

i am officially over all the awkward phrases that attempt to include anyone who is marginalized on the basis of gender
For instance: Mills College, Spelman College, St Elizabeth's University, Scripps, Agnes Scott, Wellesley, etc, aren't "Historically Women's Colleges."
Mills didn't "start admitting trans women" in 2013. It started officially stating that it would admit trans women regardless of what their legal docs said. It was admitting trans women at least as far back as 1980.
It didn't "start admitting nonbinary students" (or what our absolute trash corrupt president inexplicably calls "gender-nonbinary people") in 2013. It admitted me in 1996. I came out in the student newspaper in 1997. I started a club, and found out there were a lot of other genderqueers already there. And we certainly weren't the first ones.
So here is my offering to you:
Tumblr media
[a graphic stating that "gender-marginalized people are GEMS," in which the G E from gender, and M from marginalized, are capitalized to illustrate the meaning of the term]
It's a women's college. It's exactly what women's colleges have ALWAYS been.
It's a nonbinary college. It's certainly closer to being an enby college than any other kind of school is likely to be. It's flat-out common to be nonbinary here.
It's a trans college. It has had out transfem professors for 30 years. It has admitted trans men for at least that long. (Unintentionally. But that's true of almost all of this.)
But we need a word for this stuff.
Because when I see things like women's improv festivals using "Fem" instead, to be "inclusive" of enbies... or "womxn," which comes off as "women, and those of you who we think are close enough"... or all the times that orgs say "women and enbies," but in practice, are welcoming to transmascs and not to transfems.... or just how hard it is for people to do outreach because they can't quickly state who an org is for... it makes me just a little stress-barfy.
Gems, like everything else about gender, is an umbrella term. It includes intersex people of all genders, trans people of all genders, gender-nonconforming people who don't identify as trans or intersex, and cis women.
In other words, all the people originally included under the trans+ umbrella, and cis women.
anyone who doesn't like that definition can lump it. anyone who is confused by that definition can start by reading les feinberg's assorted trans nonfiction books.
Examples: "Oh! I guess I don't really know many cis men. I went to a gems' college."
"I don't know, should we open this group to all gems? I feel like we need to clarify who's welcome here, and do more outreach."
"You know that you won't necessarily read all gems as women, right? Wait -- you know that the way you read someone doesn't tell you what their gender is, right?!"
Is it a little on the glittery-femmey side of things? Yes, and I'm sorry.
On the other hand, butches of all genders, how many times have you been described as "a diamond in the rough?"
This term owes a debt to "MaGes," for MArginalized GEnderS, which I saw suggested many years ago but which never caught on. I can't find the post anymore, but I suspect it was proposed by someone at the Black Feminist Project, because people/orgs within its sphere seem to be the only ones using the term.
As the House of Liberosis explains, "Gender marginalization includes but not limited to misogyny, transphobia, intersex-phobia, transmisogny, misogynoir, transmisogynoir, or any combination thereof. The only gender not marginalized (for that factor itself) is [non-intersex] cisgender men."
If you want to define it as "trans people plus cis women," you can apply for a special Disclaimer License that explains what it really means. Or link back to this post.
also, if you were thinking "shit how the fuck do i go to a school like that" P L E E E A S E sign this petition telling Congress to investigate the shady deal that gives Mills and all its assets to Northeastern University. this is so clearly a cover-up for embezzlement and i Cannot
