I'm still using a lot of blue paint. It's okay. I bought about seven shades.

btw there's no hard barriers between any queer identities- where one identity ends and another begins, they meld together, creating a gradient between the two, and every other identity around it. it's one big gradient, not rigid boxes that can never be touched by one another. queerness involves embracing those gray areas, celebrating them, and the lives of people who occupy them. being unique does not involve casting away those who are similar to you- there are no barriers between different queers, we are all part of the the same beautiful tapestry.

[Image description below]. It feels good to spread my wings! Are you surprised I’m actually an alien? Growing up neurodivergent, I felt a lot like an alien much of the time. Many in the LGBTQ community do as well, as human ideas of gender & relationships don’t always fit us.
Neurodivergent people are much more likely to be trans, and vice versa. We experience the world differently—gender is just one (big) aspect of that. And that’s okay. In fact, it’s wonderful! It’s good to unmask where and when we can 🩵

Caroussel of five slides, including a four-panel comic and a list of supporters.
The title of the comic is “Alien Enby”
Slide 1: a non-binary trans woman named Riri with orange hair and a light blue dress stands in a sassy pose. Riri says “since I started making these comics, people have asked me: “why is it called Alienby comics? That’s because…”
Slide 2: Riri says “I’m an alien.” Riri is standing in a similar pose but has now transformed into a retro space alien, with light blue skin, antennae, and a pink space suit.
Slide 3: Riri is seen in a flashback as a masculine presenting preteen, in alien form with light blue skin wearing a t-shirt, nervously covering their antennae and looking over their shoulder. There are silhouettes of other children behind them. The voice over continues: “I spent years trying to look and talk like a normal human, but the antennae became too hard to hide.”
Slide 4: Riri is seen as their future alien self, with thick electrical cables coiled around them. With an expression of determination they try to plug these cables into each other. Riri’s voice over: “My brain seems to be hardwired differently.” Riri is also shown in another image flaunting a pair of sparkly fairy-like wings. Voice over: “And body metamorphosis is part of my life cycle… but my differences are beautiful.”
Slide 5: a list of supporters on Patreon and Kofi. Thank you to my supporters!

Currently, my life in art:
I like to update my art progress. Some images contain blood, but I change the colors for reasons, and as a bonus it reduces the gore and shock value.
Here is what I made for Coming Out Day. I titled it "Reach For Your Self". Then I had a promt to paint something based on a constellation. I chose monocerus, because I like horns.
Next, a painting based on the self imposed promt, "frustration", which to me is like: 😬🙄😑. But the grimace usally happens on the inside for me. Then, on a whim, the personification of a crow, using leftover paints from another project. She has covered herself in shiny and sparkly things.
Here's where I left off on self portraits on another post, the one after that, and my latest - another bloody nose self portrait. I am so frustrated with nose bleeds, migraines, medicine, and especially medical insurance and American health insurance.
And, as usual, a plug for my pet portraits. I currently have four in the cue, and am open for commissions, which I can probably start in December. You can find me on Facebook at Gail Cali Art, or go to my website: Gailcaliart.com.

anyone of any identity can do drag as any type of performer they want. you don't have to be a man to be a drag queen, or a woman to be a drag king. you can do whatever you want, drag is an art form about expression, freedom, satire, creativity, joy, fun, and provoking thought. do what makes your little heart sing
