Vaderdala Horror AU
An idea I tried to send someone in an ask on Halloween but apparently never got through:
Dark supernatural forces beyond the understanding of even the Sith bring Padmé back from the dead shortly after ROTS. They endow her with enhanced Force Sensitivity and magic and train her in the Dark Arts, all the while feeding her hatred and corrupting her in the Dark Side. Among her new powers are hydrokinesis, life energy absorption, and a hypnotic, seductive siren voice, the effects of the last of which are augmented by skin contact.
Soon after, she returns to the Galaxy proper undercover to seek revenge against everyone she believes responsible for destroying her family and her life, including both the Jedi and the Sith. She covertly rampages through both Imperial and Rebel forces, assassinating and/or enthralling key figures, gathering intel, sabotaging operations, and creeping her way towards Palpatine, the Rebel leaders, and what is left of the Jedi. This all leads to an encounter with Vader.
I still haven't decided whether or not Padmé has targeted him as Vader for supposedly replacing her husband or as Anakin for attacking her on Mustafar. Either way, his suit renders him immune to her mind control powers, but as soon as he recognizes her, it's clear that she doesn't need them to wrap him completely around her finger, as she has already done so. After clearing the air between them about everything, the reunited couple rekindles their love and Vader eagerly agrees to help Padmé in her plans. They begin plotting out steps to recover their children, heal Vaderkin's body, eliminate their enemies, and take control of the galaxy.
Please like and reblog with your thoughts.

This Parallel of Anakin and a young Reva, and of a grownup Reva and a young Luke Skywalker and of a grownup Luke Skywalker and younger Kylo Ren is the most powerful Parallel I’ve ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!
Difference is unlike Anakin, Reva and Luke Skywalker didn’t go through with the act of killing.

I am weirdly invested in this au and I want to ask what about the rebellion? Do they still have the same goal as canon? How do the rest of the jedi fare? What about luke and leia? I'm assuming obi-wan doesn't know vader is anakin at that period of time so are you going to do some reveal? Oh also what is the empire's like from citizens perspective? Sorry I ask a lot I just like this so much I need to know more detail!!!
*cracks fingers* Okay, so that is quite alot of asks, but lemme try and break them down:
The Rebellion still has the same goals as in-canon; restore the Republic, overthrow Imperial rule. That said, they are having a far harder time of things. For one, the destruction of the first Death Star never occurs, because Vader cut the funding for the superweapon on Thrawn's insistence- which, in turn, severely hampers the Rebellion's overall unity as a faction, since they no longer have that 'great victory' to build them up into a stronger and more-popular faction. Additionally, Thrawn's pro-alien reforms have split the galactic population. In canon, it is mostly condensed down to a largely-humano-centric Empire against basically a largely-alien Rebellion. In 'Built To Serve', however, you are just as likely to find a Twi'lek or a Rodian Stormtrooper as you are to find a Human Stormtrooper. This, naturally, deprives the Rebellion of one of their largest recruitment 'pools from the canon timeline: the oppressed alien masses.
One other change is that Galen and Jyn Erso never sided with the Rebels; the Death Star project was scrapped, and Galen's technology was turned back towards clean renewable energy. This kept him on-side with the new Empire, and never separated him from his wife and daughter. Jyn, now living a new life as the daughter of a high-ranking imperial scientist, got the best education and connections, allowing her to rise rapidly through the ranks of the Imperial Navy. She now serves as one of Tarkin's many government officials.
The Jedi are far worse-off in this timeline. Whilst Palpatine mostly concerned himself with the Empire and left Vader to deal with any Jedi that dares to spring out of hiding, in this AU Emperor Vader leaves the broad-strokes of Imperial policy to Thrawn and Tarkin. This, in turn, leaves Vader with more time to organize and arrange the Imperial Inquisitors under the leadership of Grand Inquisitor Barriss Offee (the only person who hates the Jedi perhaps even-more than Vader himself). This newly invigorated Inquisitorius, in combination with the massive ISB propaganda effort to paint the Jedi as treasonous manipulative b*stards post-Order 66, has alienated the Jedi survivors from much of the support they might have had in-canon. Kanan Jarrus, Cal Kestis, Cere Junda and Ezra Bridger were all killed in this new timeline by the hand of Grand Inquisitor Offee, as was Darth Maul during an ill-planned assassination attempt against Emperor Vader. Ahsoka Tano remains alive as the head of the Rebel spy-network, 'Fulcrum'. Yoda, similarly, remains in hiding on Dagobah.
The exception to this blanket persecution is the planet of Ahch-To. In this new timeline, Ahch-To is used as a demilitarised 'reservation' for maybe 10% of all captured Jedi. The imprisoned Jedi are disarmed, installed with tracking chips, and released onto the planet's surface. There, they can meditate on the Force, practice their beliefs, and live out a relatively peaceful, low-tech, primitive life... on a number of conditions... The reservation of Ahch-To is led by the renowned former Jedi master Luminara Unduli, who preaches nonviolence and pacifism whilst firmly dissuading any talk of escape or insurrection; like it or not, Vader has given them all a second chance after Order 66, to live simple (albeit heavily-monitored) lives. Additionally, any newly-discovered Force-sensitive who fails examination under the Imperial Inquisitorius' exacting standards is dumped in the hands of the Ahch-To Jedi reservation.
Luka and Leia are unchanged from canon - Leia is still the outspoken daughter of Senator Organa (who, coincidentally, has been having a harder time getting supplies off-of Alderaan to the Rebels, now that the 'Death-Star-carcass-turned-Imperial-Navy-starport' is parked right over his planet), and Luke is still a farmboy on Tatooine.
Obi-Wan never had his little adventure from his 'Kenobi' series, and remains in-hiding on Tatooine. He still communed with Qui-Gon Jinn as a Force Ghost, and learnt how to become a Force Ghost himself, but he never had that final fight with Vader. Indeed, Leia herself was never kidnapped as a young girl; instead, her father Bail just told her about Obi-Wan's many adventures. As for if Obi-Wan discovered Vader is Anakin... ehhh, let's just say that Obi-Wan never made that connection. He'd still think that he killed Anakin on Mustafar, and that Vader is some other Sith Lord who stole power 'out from under Palpatine at the final minute. Or, atleast, that is his best-guess. He doesn't exactly have an abundance of intelligence on a backwater like Tatooine.
The Empire, from the prospective of an average citizen, is a marked improvement on the Old Republic. Granted, they are under intense scrutiny and subjected to a near-dizzying amount of Imperial propaganda, but they are *safe*. The Clone Wars are over, the Jedi traitors are gone or in-hiding or on the 'reservation' world of Ahch-To, and the old corruption and greed of the Republic Senate has been expunged (for the most part). The Hutt cartels are far less aggressive and daring, with crime at an all-time galactic 'low. Slavery is still a problem, especially in the Outer Rim, but worlds like Ryloth and Shili are firmly slavery-free, and firmly loyal to the Empire. Alien and otherwise nonhuman citizens are far more satisfied with the new Imperial system, finding it as a source of excellent new career paths with alot of upwards mobility. Indeed, reports and news stories on galactic equality margins are at an all-time-high, firmly outstripping the Old Republic. Basically, if you were born a Sullustan, you would have far-better chances of finding work in government under the Empire than you ever did under the Republic. The prices of much-needed items like medicine and food are also much more affordable, with some of Emperor Vader's key early policies being based around the production and distribution of these two things... partly to cement his own popularity, partly to incentivise postwar economic prosperity, and partly to urge more people to buy-in to the new Empire as a new galactic government.

Thinking about Luke resting his head on Din's chest, the two of them on Naboo sitting in those beautiful fields. Luke is just marveling at how warm the sun is and how soft the breeze has become now that he has lost his sight.
All the while, Vader watches Luke off to the side in adoration (with slight and unwilling acceptance that Din is there as well).

Summary: Luke has come home to see his mother and avoid his father, the Emperor Darth Vader.
Preview:
"Luke," his mother said.
He blinked. She had been watching him. He sat up straight.
"I wanted to ask why you are here."
Hot then cold adrenaline rushed through him. He was now wide awake.
"Can't I . . . just be here? At . . . home?"
It was only a slight change on her face, but she was clearly giving him a look. His cheeks turned red.
"You are always welcome here," she said. "But I know something is bothering you."
"Is it that obvious?" he muttered.
"A bit," she chuckled. "But also your father called."
Luke's heart jumped into his throat. He felt the color draining from his face.
"He was, how should I say it? Concerned about you," she said.
He nodded and tried to swallow, but his throat was dry.
"You disappeared a few days ago and haven't reported in. You've ignored his and Leia's calls. He was worried something had happened."

Behind The Veil
Another SW idea: Luke tries to help a war torn planet of the empire which has ties to the rebellion. Also ties in my ideas of Luke using Vader's affection for him to sway his father politically.
Another night of writing when I should be sleeping haha. Been trying to practice "show vs tell".
TW: emotional manipulation, implicit torture, slight infantilism
The weekends were the only time Luke felt like an actual prince. He was not sure if he liked that or not. Unlike the weekdays where he attended classes and was doted on by Vader, he accompanied his father while he did his royal duties...and was still doted on by Vader. Luke came to accept his father's delusions and overbearing nature. He was not helping anyone by throwing fits against Vader and earning his trust yielded more privileges anyway. Attending royal court, one benefit of his compliance, was a good opportunity to learn more about the empire. He swore he would never rule, but maybe it would reveal viable intel when (if?) he escaped Vader.
Luke was sitting on his plush throne at his father's right side. Before them, the leader of Rioth was petitioning for aid. There was a recent ambush on a rebel base on the planet's capital which devastated civilians' way of life consequently. Emperor Vader was not sympathetic. "Minister Krei, your citizens are rebel sympathizers which makes them traitors to my empire. Until the rebellion has been completely annihilated and their supporters detained, Rioth is dead to me." The man gritted his teeth and bowed stiffly, "Yes, My Emperor." "Do not forget your place," Vader sneered, "You're on thin ice Krei. Clean your rebel infestation before you show your face again here."
Luke watched the shaking man leave the court escorted by guards and reflected on the situation. Innocent people - maybe some of his old rebel friends - were suffering. As prince, he was person non-grata now but maybe he could help somehow? His musing was interrupted by his father cupping his cheek. His father chuckled warmly at his startling and murmured, "Come, little dreamer. Let's get you fed and ready for your nap."
Which is how Luke found himself in soft sleeping clothes with Vader bouncing him gently as he slowly paced Luke's room. Luke yawned widely over his father's broad shoulder and rubbed his eyes. He felt how calm Vader's usually turbulent force presence was and decided to make his request before he lost his battle with sleep. "Daddy," He might as well start strong, "Can...can I lead relief efforts on Rioth please?" Vader froze, his arms around Luke tightened and his force presence began to darken. Luke hurried on, "It'd be good publicity for the empire. And-" Luke suddenly yawned again, fingers creeping towards his mouth, before continuing, "Could help win Rioth over from the rebellion." Vader hummed noncommittally, and swayed him in his arms. Luke pressed on with his final point, "The rebellion will see me as loyal to the empire...to you Daddy." Vader gasped and brought one hand to cradle the back of Luke's head. "Oh my precious little prince," Vader praised in between peppering his son's face with kisses. "We will go together my little angel, but for now it's naptime," Vader smiled affectionately at Luke's jaw-breaking yawning. Luke rested his head on his father's shoulder, his father's presence cocooning him like a comforting blanket. His eyes finally drooped shut and he sucked his thumb as Vader hummed a gentle lullaby.
Luke was front and center of the efforts of Rioth. As much as the Imperial Prince station would allow anyway. He met with a shocked Minister Krei to understand the scope of the situation. He coordinated with local sector leaders to distribute food, import critical medical supplies, provide shelters, among other things. Luke also liked showing off his force powers to curious younglings who approached him. Although he had to more than once stop his father from attacking them for their "lack of respect". But beyond a few words with Krei and the minster of defense, his father surprisingly kept a low profile. He would have expected his father to be furious at the few rebel supporters arrested but maybe he started prioritizing his citizens over rebels for once. He seemed content to let Luke take charge and Luke felt a swell of pride.
Luke felt even prouder standing before the citizens of Rioth near the end of their stay. Whereas most citizens were wary of him at the beginning, they seemed to have a change of heart as they welcomed Luke with boisterous applause to the podium. "Loyal imperial citizens of Rioth, I, Prince Luke, am glad to celebrate with you on this day. A day of new beginnings, peace, prosperity and pride for our glorious empire", Luke felt nauseous praising the empire like this, but the joy and hope of the people of Rioth soothed the sting of guilt. As Luke wrapped up his speech, he faltered as he felt a disturbance in the force and saw his father running towards him. Reflexively he shielded himself with the force and was thrown back as the world around him erupted in explosions and fire.
Calls of his name aroused Luke to consciousness. His body felt stiff and his mind groggy, but his father holding his hand anchored him. Luke groaned and his father hushed him, carding his other hand through his hair, "It's alright little one, Daddy's here." Luke opened his bleary eyes to see his father's relieved face. As if sensing Luke's question, Vader scowled, "Remnants of the rebel alliance tried to kill you, Luke. Sanctioned by rebel high command themselves." Luke's eyes widened in disbelief. He knew the alliance council would no longer trust him, but to order him killed? Did Leia want him dead too? He shook his aching head and bit his wobbling lip as his eyes flooded with tears. Vader, mindful of Luke's injuries, brought his son into a tender hug which opened the flood gates. Luke sobbed into his father's chest, Vader rubbing his back comfortingly. "You can't trust them anymore, Luke," Vader solemnly declared. Luke clutched his father's chest desperately as he sobbed harder.
After Luke's breakdown, Vader soothed his son back to sleep. Then, he journeyed from the medical ward to the detention cells beneath the city parliament building. There, Minister Krei greeted him with a trembling form and lowered eyes. The accompanying defense minister saluted proudly and escorted him to the prisoners. Vader's lip curled in disgust at the filthy Rioth rebel idealists before him. They returned the sentiment. "You should have listened to Mothma and stayed away from my son, peasants," Vader's anger boiled at their defiance. "Skywalker is nothing but an imp sellout," a man spat at Vader, "The traitorous son of a Hutt deserved to die-" The man's eyes bulged out and he clawed at his throat. Vader growled, "You will all pay for your treason. But," Vader gave a nasty smile, "I must thank you lot for bringing my son closer to my side." The man's face turned blue as Vader abruptly released his grip. "As a show of the empire's gratitude, you will all enjoy my royal hospitality before I leave this miserable planet." Vader's eyes burned yellow as the door shut heavily behind him. The thick closed door did nothing to muffle the blood curdling screams.
