1.

It always starts off slowly. I close my eyes and I can hear you breathing. It's like you're right next to me. Except that you never were. The weight of all my past selves had rendered you catatonic quite some time ago, and unfortunately, I never had the pleasure of meeting you. I can feel you lying there, just beneath my bones.

2.

Sometimes, I wonder if you were like me at all. Not the me that I am when awake, but the me in my daydreams. Are you the thing that makes me feel strength when I have none? Part of me dares to think that you would be proud of me if you walked past me on the street. The other part thinks you'd spit in my face.

3.

After the breathing subsides, then comes the emptiness. There's always a weight pushing down on my heart. It feels like lifetimes of broken promises. I know they have to be the mementos of all the great love stories you've created for me. The ones that I still feel enchanted by deep down in this body.

4.

But then, I push all of that aside. I can't take on your myriad failures and still compete with my own. One life at a time is all I can live. I really hate it for the next one of us though. They're gonna give themselves hell. Hopefully they won't take as long to figure it all out like I did.

3 am thoughts

I don't think i say this often enough, but maybe its time i start. I am emotionally unstable. Like you don't understand. I'll be to the fucking moon and in like snap of fingers, ill be living in hell. I know i talk about depression and mood swings are a MAJOR part of that but I'm like eh, fuck it you know? I can't let it define me, because it already controls me, so there is no changing that. Anyways, what i really wanted to talk about is the fact that i want someone right now more than what i have ever wanted. Like i want a boyfriend sooo bad, i don't think i can rightfully explain it. And today it got me thinking, because i have certain "standarts" or particular things i look for in guys, right? Well, newsflash for my sorry ass, the same is true for them. Meaning that just because i found someone super cute or like i don't know, attractive or whatever, doesn't mean that they saw me the same and that we would ever work out. Because if that was the case, i would have been approached by guys right? Also, I've met ... i was gonna say sooo many guys but realized that i never did that, lol my life... I've met some guys that are like wow cute but then I'm like eh, over them you know? Like i don't get it. And i was thinking in particular about this guy that i have been hyping so much to those few trusted souls i call friends. So i thought he was cute and had a hella good and deep, rich voice that literally had me shook. And we had this brief moment of a sexual attraction/convo idk. I am just hoping that i am not making stuff up, honestly. Point is that now, i kinds realized that i never really felt anything for him whatsoever in any realm, but it was more of this challenge, playing hard to get that made me like omg so invested and stuff. So yeah. I mean had he really liked me, he would have approached me you know? Like he did that other time, but instead its like getting colder and colder and I'm just like ok, over it. I don't know. What do people even see in me and more importantly what is it about me that makes people so scared to approach me? Like i don't bite bitch because i ain't got the nerve so hello? Come closer.
