rating: 10/10; the platonic ideal of what this face should look like

adorable. love the simpler shading. not sure what it is, but this one looks a little more sincere than the apple one.

rating: 9/10; needs a little more bastard energy

i might be a samsung user but this one is.. kinda gross. i admire the attempt to deepen the expression with that shading on the chin, but it just feels out of place here. this one isn't fucking around at all. at least on some level, this is like... genuine betrayal. kinda makes me not wanna use it actually.

It’s a seal. Good start. Weird perspective but cute pupper face 7/10

Stylised in a nice fashion! Well done banana pose, loveable face! Could use some more whiskers and texture and it’d be perfect! 9/10

Looks angry. Details in face makes the simple silhouette feel weird. I don’t like this one, but it reads as a seal 4/10

This pose is some weird kind of mix between seal and sea lion. It doesn’t look natural. The simplistic face and pattern is very nice but lacks whiskers 5/10

It’s a seal. I like the colour and shading, the pose and especially those folds at the waist. But that face feels kind of uncanny, it makes me uncomfortable. 6/10

Starting with the basics! This emoji was approved as part of Unicode 6.1 in 2012 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015

Apple

It looks so dead inside. I don't even want to know what it's gone through. This emoji doesn't fulfill their job as something joyful, it fills me with existensial terror. Solid 3/10.

Google Noto Color Emoji

Definitely better than the Apple one, I like the fact that it has some shine in its eyes and that it has a tongue. Pretty good, I'd say 6/10.

Samsung

Still better than Apple, but worse than Google. I've never been a fan of how "sharp" Samsung emojis look if that makes sense? It still does its job though, 5/10.

Microsoft

Just a little guy. Just a joyful lad. Either that or they're on something. 10/10, it's not perfect but makes me happy.

WhatsApp

This is also deeply unsettling, even though it has the features I like. Maybe it's the shiny ass forehead? 3.5/10.

Twitter

Simple, does it's purpose, kinda feels detached from the emotion that this emoji's supposed to convey and just feels like an image. 5/10.

Facebook

What the fuck is this. Why is it an actual sphere. Why are the eyes blue. 1/10.

This is like the GrubHub ad version of the Microsoft one. 3/10.

Skype

This is an animated one, but I only have the image version. This face that the animation ends with is okay, though I don't like the weird white eye bags it has. The face it starts with is terrifying, google it if you want to. As a whole it would be like a 1/10 but just this one is like a 4.5/10. Let's say 2.5/10 as a compromise.

This is just so much worse than the facebook one, it's so 3D and I hate how the head isn't completely round. Actual -3/10.

It looks like someone who just experienced an extremely traumatic event. Like I genuinely want to hug it and make sure it gets proper professional help. Poor guy. As an emoji though, 3/10.

I don't have a lot to say about this one, looks pretty similar to the older Microsoft one I have on my laptop. Also a 4/10.

Noto Emoji Font

Hard to say anything negative, but also anything positive. It's a very neutral emoji, conveys it's meaning well and isn't over the top. I actually really like this one, 6/10.

OpenMoji

It's so flat, and full of contrast, not very pleasant to look at. The eyes are also ever so slightly too small for my preference. 2/10

emojidex

I have many questions that I probably don't want an answer for, including but not limited to: Why is it red? Why is the mouth shaped like that? Why is the outline so thick? Why are the teeth like that? But like aside from me being extremely nitpicky, this is a pretty solid emoji. Like a 5/10 if I'm being generous.

Messenger

Okay so even though I heavily disagree with the shade of the eyes and other little things, I weirdly like it. Even though the shape is... weird..., I think it wasn't a bad decision this time. I like how it's in a 3/4 view instead of front view, which gives it character and originality. The shading is an interesting detail, and makes this a really good emoji. A surprising 8/10.

LG

Pretty basic, the style reminds me of the really old Apple emoji style in some way. This is like a definition of a middle of the ground emoji. 5/10

HTC

I don't like it, and I don't think it should have or even deserves to have separate teeth. The yellow used in this is a nice shade overall, but doesn't really fit the vibe of emojis. 2/10.

Mozilla

Kinda similar feelings like the HTC one, as in I don't think it should have ears. The extremely washed out colours make it look displeasing, and makes me want to turn my screen brightness up. 1/10.

Back at it again with emoji rating. We got crabs!

She is pretty but something about her makes me feel like she’s going to kill me. 6/10

Her eyes appear to be on backward. She also appears to have been slathered in grease. It’s not a bad design overall but someone please clean her off. 6/10

Very cute and round and the flat colors feel like a good choice. I’m suspicious that she’s actually an octopus in a crab costume based on those legs though. 7/10

Way too shiny. Who spilled shoe polish on this poor crab? She looks like she’s just trying to keep it together. 3/10

The extra patterns on the shell are a unique choice, though I’m not sure they make it better. Once again the flat colors make it nicer to look at. She seems friendly, but I’m worried her legs might fall off at any moment. 5/10

She definitely works out. The pale red is not a good color choice. Most of the crabs here are probably cooked based on how red they are but she is sunburned. 2/10

Normally I hate skype’s moving emojis but this crab is shmooves and then does a little snip snip and it is very good. The texture and simple design work surprisingly well. 9/10

Wow look at that texture, the elegance of the legs, the clear strength of the claws. Good shading too. There is a mischievous look in her eyes. She will do some snip snip soon. 10/10

Makes me think of the crab from club penguin, but this version’s cuter. 8/10

I wanted a crab not a McDonald’s Happy Meal. -100/10

Apple

They're okay.. It's apple, it's just okay.. except for that hair girl u need a better haircut maybe get some layers in. This is one of the only few that's actually white white, which is an interesting choice, but I'm not sure how I feel about the dark-skin variant... it's a little, uh... 4/10

Google

Guys hear me out... he/they is kinda bad tho.. it can be argued the art isnt as good as Apple, but I'm not rating this on good art, I'm rating this on sexyness, and this is a sexy vampire. The hair is so fluffy.. and that widows peak, hot damn! If I walked into a mansion and this vampire insisted I stayed for the night I would stay no questions asked. Tbh I'd get down on my knees and beg him to bite my neck. 10/10

Samsung

looks too much like a 7 year old with an ugly ass orange vest, and I dont vibe with a vampire that wears an orange vest. 0/10

Looks like he's 50, could be a dilf... I'm not typically into dilfs but if you're a loving father and a vampire I WANT YOU SO BADLY. but i can't do higher cause the collar and vest are two different colors of red, what the fuck 7/10
