Back then, the Emo scene was original and fresh. The bands that everyone loved, and still love today, look up to these pioneers if Emo music we all love dearly. This is why the music of the Emo revival all sounds the same. It's identical music with identical messages. Even the original Emo bands have changed their sound to ATTEMPT at doing something awesome and new once again; success or none. The newer bands haven't learned any originality and it ultimately bores me. Then you have the Front Bottoms who attempted to do something really unique with minimal instrumentation and a new sound, but ultimately ended up wasting oxygen singing their pitiful rigmarole. Just my opinion.
