Illyrians get tattoos when they’re initiated as warriors. Emerie completed the Blood Rite, earning the title of Carynthian no less.

Imagine Emerie with tattoos, claiming the right only men have had, choosing to have her body marked. Marked for glory and remembrance, representing the trial her and her closest friends went through. Marks to remember the cold nights where they shared their histories and shed tears, marks to remember a sister’s ultimate sacrifice as she stood under the arch on the Pass of Enalius, marks to remember every wrench of her ankle as she carried Gwyn up Ramiel’s peak.

And unlike Gwyn, I think Emerie would keep the title because she lives in Windhaven. Lives where there are other females around to see her and see hope and strength. See history made and dreams attainable. She’d be a Valkyrie at heart, of course, but for those Illyrian women who want to train, carve their own paths, and change archaic ways, she’d be a Carynthian.

(please let me know if I'm totally off-base. I couldn't find if Emerie hated the warrior titles when I flipped through the book but I remember her mentioning it somewhere so...)

ACOSF SPOILER🔥

Who else is supper excited to see Emerie and Mor’s potential relationship!!!!! We got a small one line hint that Emerie finds her beautiful and notes that she never goes to the camps anymore. This would be a badass comedic relationship. They are both so sparky and witty, omg it would be so much fun. The both have sucky fathers and were faced with the gender stereotypes to be a female that is supposed to get married and do as their husbands say. Am I still a little peeved as Mor for saying that BS about Nesta deserving to be in the Court of Nightmares, the very place that hurt and traumatized Mor herself? Yes I am. But....if Nesta can forgive her I am willing to as well. But there better be a moment where Emerie finds out she said that and she has it out with Mor for saying that about her friend—her sister—and thinking that was okay or she has the right to say that. All in all I want to see where this relationship goes, I think we are in for a fun ride with this one, I just hope it’s done right.

(Werbung aufgrund von Markennennung) . Der Rum Artesanal Guyana Emmore 1991 KFM hat einen recht dunkelbraunen Farbton und aus dem Glas riecht es im ersten Moment nach Teer und nassen Leder. Ich gebe dem Rum noch einige Zeit zum Atmen und versuche nach einer halben Stunde mit einem zweiten Anlauf. Auf ein nächstes und es entfaltet sich ein aufregendes Aromen Spektrum. Der Rum aus Guyana duftet schwer nach Leder und in Rum eingelegten Früchten, dazu kommt der Duft von einen gut getoasteten Eichenholz-Fass und Noten von süßlichem Anis. Perfektioniert wird das spannende Bukett von guter alkoholischer Schärfe, die in der Nase kitzelt und den Aromen von Kräuterbonbon und angebrannten Karamell. Der erste Schluck erinnert mich an eine recht bittere Medizin und beim zweiten Nippen am Noising-Glas schmecke ich einen Mix von Minze, verbrannten Holz und Teer heraus. Der Geschmack von gebratenen Pflaumen und bitteren kalten Kräutertee macht sich am Gaumen breit. Eine langsam aufsteigende alkoholische Wärme macht sich auf den Wangen breit. Das Mundgefühl ist cremig, leicht ölig und ein bitterer Film liegt auf der Zunge. Das Finish ist langanhaltend und endet mit den Aromen von einen guten Ristretto Espresso und Eichenholz. Fazit: Der Rum Artesanal Guyana Emmore ist absolut nichts für Einsteiger und Rumliebhaber, sondern mehr was für Enthusiasten, die einen guten und alten Rum wertschätzen. Sein Geschmackserlebnis ist schon recht außergewöhnlich und fasziniert mich auch gleichzeitig. Mit jedem Nippen am Glas verliebe ich mich mehr in den Rum.
