EMMERDALE fans will get a real cliffhanger as the soap’s love triangle reaches terrifying new heights. An ITV crew was spotted in Yorkshire filming scenes for a dramatic clifftop car crash. It will involve characters Chloe, Mackenzie and Charity and will take a horrifying turn. Chloe — played by Jessie Elland — is left with her life hanging in the balance, while Mackenzie, played by Lawrence Robb, and Charity, by actress Emma Atkins, appear to make it out before the red car plummets over the cliff edge. Viewers will be left wondering if Chloe gets out alive. But that seems unlikely, as the car went off the cliff with a red-haired mannequin inside.

but i'm howling - this is the white crash of the robron and rebecca bullshit all over again. Mack and Charity will end up raising Reuben then.

But just think how fucking insufferable Kerry is going to be. "I'M HER MAM!" maybe she'll fight Mack over custody of Reuben.

And we can kiss any Matty/Amy focus goodbye if they kill off Chloe. Matty will probably be cleaning tables at her funeral.

I get not liking a character that comes between your ship, really I do. I have a long list of characters I don't like for that very reason, Rebecca White being very high up on it, as well as both Brooke and Hope on B&B.

I have to say though, and this is about The Bold And The Beautiful right now, but could easily apply to Emmerdale as well. When the character you despise happens to be one of the main leads on the show, a complex character who has done both good and bad things over the years... You comparing them to the resident psychotic killer/baby stealer/kidnapper/arsonist just doesn't fly, sorry.

Nothing Steffy (or Thomas or Taylor) has done is even in the vicinity of what Sheila Carter has done since the early 90's, and just because you write that Steffy is just as bad on your social media every day, it doesn't change the fact that Sheila is written as a villain and was from the start, and Steffy is not.

That doesn't mean you have to like her. But the actress is an award winning lead on the show, she isn't going anywhere. Steffy isn't going to "pay" for that time she killed someone in self defense years ago, and the fact is, she may even end up with that guy from your ship again.

And while I'm at it, no, I don't think that Mackenzie is an abuser on Emmerdale. I can't tell you how many times I've heard the same thing about Robert, or about Thomas on B&B.

Soaps need complex characters that struggle with themselves! All these people wanting to watch 'healthy relationships', when has soaps ever been the place for that?

Soaps are about schemes and affairs and love triangles and locking your ex in a shipping container (I'm looking at you, Jai) and then years later serving that person coffee like it never happened, lol.

People on soaps are happy for short spans of time, maybe even 'healthy', but then something will happen that shakes everything up and that soapy cycle will just continue, for as long as your favorite or least favorite character is still there.

Loads people hope Robert coming back but can’t see Ryan coming back to me he seems done with emmerdale I actually wonder if he quit when got the Rebecca story and him scheming against whites and like not this crap again, I sadly think he saw nothing else for his character to go just wish they had kids before he left

I don't feel like your conspiracy theory fits in with the timeline anon. The Rebecca story began in 2016 and she left in 2018. Ryan clearly didn't decide to leave until at least after the surrogacy story and the Aaron/Billy feud were storylined, which was mid 2018 at the earliest.

But nice try though.

As much love Robron I kind hate how Chrissie was villainised almost as if it was her fault for being cheated on, more people felt sorry for Aaron in how he was treated by Robert then the person he married and was cheating on, then course she turned into a superbitch because the golden boy/cuckoo in the nest, Andy Is always the victim. and then again Rebecca even though she one screwed her on sister over and family for a man who screwed over her family and sister and she was portayed as the victim over the man who was in prison, beat up, on drugs and cheated on, Robert was also drunk and vulnerable, Bex turned up wanting to get into Robert pants how she the victim? hate how retconned it to Robert bullied her into an abortion etc hence Rob the bad guy again. Also Bex touching her stomach when Aaron yelled her was so damn maniplative might well put a sign up over their heads feel sorry for Bex she the victim here not Aaron who Bex fucked his husband (who drunk and upset) in his new home and bed while he in prison going through hell, the same woman made him so insecure sniffing round Robert in first place. while acting like she there friends. she like andy made out to be perfect etc and hate them both, when they sly fucks who seem get free pass for things they do, Rebecca clear was IM golden child. Bex also bragged about screwing her fiance at her sister engagement party and again acted like the victim when she slapped her and slaps her back. If Andy round imagine those 2 together being all perfect, victims ugh. another kick in teeth to Chrissie, Aaron and Robert.

just because robert flirts with her doesn't mean he attracted to her, i think robert just a flirt and used rebecca attraction to him for his advantage like he done with lawrence and connor. i mean his kissed her but never seemed into it the first time, and second time was him simply using her. he might been attracted to her in past but think maybe he no longer attracted her when when she arrived?

it’s true that the flirting in itself doesn’t mean that he’s attracted to her, and we know that he also used her attraction to him to his advantage. and yes, he’s a flirt and will use it if there’s something to gain from doing so even if he isn’t interested in/attracted to a person. however I always thought they had a spark. it was a long time since I watched the early Rebecca parts now, but for one thing the first scene they have alone together at the pub made me think “oh no.” there’s a playful flirtiness between them in that moment that up to then I had only seen Rob have with Aaron. and I think their spark is there pretty much until Rob cheats with her, which ofc fucks up their relationship and after that you never see that spark again.

and yes, it’s up to interpretation whether it’s real or just Rob pretending so as to get what he wants from her, but I always saw it as real. he slept with her and Chrissie, but he had a reason to want to seduce Chrissie, the heiress; but as far as I recall, he didn’t have anything to gain from seducing Rebecca. and when they’re talking on the couch in the back room of the pub and she kisses him, he doesn’t pull back right away. he puts his hand on her shoulder but there’s a moment of hesitation before he pulls back. I think he’s tempted in that moment and it isn’t just him playing her because he wants something from her. I wanted so bad for it just to be an act, but I just couldn’t convince myself of it. and I mean, why wouldn’t he still be attracted to her when she comes back? what reason is there to think that any spark that might be seen between them is just him playing her? we know that being with Aaron hasn’t made Rob incapable of finding other women and men attractive, which ofc they even fight about, and which is true for most people. and the reason for thinking he didn’t feel anything for Rebecca might simply be not wanting him to, because most of us just want him to want Aaron. but alas. I also think it’s one part of why Aaron was so freaked out by it. not just Rob’s history of cheating and being untrustworthy, but Aaron seeing something between them and simply not being able to believe it was all just Rob playing her, as Rob tried to make it out to be.
