So a friend from high school that I lost touch with during and after college has been kinda been re-establishing contact on Instagram and we've been talking a little/sending memes from time to time. It came up that she's single now and I've always had a bit of a thing for her. She was one of the only out girls at my highschool and in hindsight she definitely flirted with me then but I just...wasn't ready to accept being bi and have always kicked myself for missing my chance with her.
I'm debating whether I should ask her out for drinks now because it feels like I have a second chance. I'm scared though...I don't want to be too strong or predatory. Ladies (neutral) I need help. Should I?

i love raydon so much i just adore the progression of their relationship throughout the series. how don admires ray and wants so so badly to be close to him and how ray wants to be close to don as well but constantly pushes him away because getting close to this hyperactive dork knowing he's going to die hurts way too much and he knows that if they did get close and don lived until his planned death date don would be absolutely devastated. so he simply continues to push him away because he thinks it's better for both of them, while don is hurt but just brushes it off as ray ‘being a downer’ because he doesnt know why he seems to be so distant!!
the apology in episode 6 being the first major breakthrough in their relationship and having don making one of the softest smiles in the series, he’s just SO happy to be making this progress with ray and its so touching. and how after that their relationship only gets better, to the point where don gets so overjoyed to see that ray is safe he tackles him, and even starts crying.
i just. love their relationship its so underrated i love the idea of don spending so long admiring ray from a distance and him finally being allowed to get close to him and actually get to know him and all that admiration slowly turning into genuine love, and ray experiencing these warm, soft feelings he never thought he'd live to feel and the weight of them all shocking him to his core, and shocking don too. i love the thought of these two boys who grew up desperately wanting to know each other but being unable to finally being given that chance and running with it, opening up about their insecurities and being soft and vulnerable and giving each other the pure adoration they both deserve <3

Abreu
A respected food critic, Maria’s opinion is highly valued by all as the towns’ baked good connoisseur. Her husband Joaquin, a renowned pianist, is no exception; he worships the ground she walks on. Together, they project their creative outlooks onto their sons. Santiago, the eldest and a romantic, has the full support of his parents and wants to become a professional wedding photographer. Even though young Rémy feels he didn’t inherit his parents’ imagination, he still wants to make them proud.
Tumblr media
Naval
Aparna owned her own restaurant while raising her two girls alone. Hema was able to help out when she was old enough, allowing Aparna to find success and receive critical acclaim by publishing her own cookbook. Today, Hema is focusing on her engineering studies while trying to find love; she’s very smart and sincere, but a bit naive. Ridhi is chasing a riskier path; she wants to be a famous musician. And while Aparna hopes that this is just a phase, she supports her youngest daughter anyway.
Tumblr media
Monaghan
As young parents, Stefan and Marianne sacrificed a lot. Stefan became a cop to support his family, but still gets caught up trying to relive his youth from time to time. Marianne longs for the day that she can quit her job at the local diner and become a singer. Soren feels pressure to please his parents, but really just want to play videogames all day while Tatum and Aria constantly bicker, not at all concerned with their parents’ feelings or the wellbeing of Hunter, who just wants attention.
Tumblr media
Larson
Quite the jazz singer in his day, Clive is desperate to find ways to stay relevant in the ever-changing music scene. Fiona, longing for the authentic soul who serenaded her years ago, knows she can inspire him again; she’s stood by him through a lot. But until then, you can find the melancholy art critic drinking to yesteryear at the bar. Jade dropped out of college to pursue a career in social media (much to Fiona’s discontent) while Candice is following the artistic path her parents paved.
Tumblr media
Agawa
Ever the class clown, Yuto knew that he had a knack for entertaining people. This was only confirmed after he went viral on Social Bunny for the first time! When he told his parents that he wanted to pursue a life in the public eye, they saw it as further evidence that he couldn’t take anything seriously. He makes a decent living streaming video games and his eccentric personality is pure internet gold. Though to be fair, he should probably be a bit cautious with what he says and does online.
Tumblr media
Hollifield
As a teen, Whitney’s future looked bright. But she forfeited a lot of opportunities to pursue a whirlwind romance with a boy who had a dangerous edge. They were happy for a time, but it didn’t last and the only thing she kept from that relationship was her daughter Emma. She now works a lowly job in fast food while taking classes at Britechester, hoping to find a career in social media. Her days are busier as a working single mom, but Emma keeps herself entertained by befriending her neighbors.
Tumblr media
Catton
Following the loss of her son to avoidable circumstances, Dottie found herself in the care of his two children. Filled with regret for not doing more for her son, the college professor watches the kids like a hawk! She’s keen on using her connections to better their lives. Temperamental Owen does well to make her proud with his grades, but he has an artsy side that he only shares with those closest to him. His little sister Bonnie would rather spend time making friends than studying though.
Tumblr media
Qian
After founding a groundbreaking app, Shirong found a place among the company of the rich and powerful. His charming wife Meifing, quite the schmoozer at elite parties, is constantly looking for funding for her next big venture (while also being the go-to-girl for all the neighborhood gossip). Nuo chose to move home after grad school to save money, but is ready to leave and start her own law firm. Her younger brother Haoyu adds to her restlessness by barraging her with his antics.
Tumblr media
Sullivan
Atticus’ dad Clifford, a retired veteran, supported his sons’ musical dreams fully, having raised him alone after his wife died. While roaming the world, Atticus met Elisa; a fashion guru with a fiery disposition. The pair had three children and Clifford moved in to help with the newborn. Like her dad, Lydia also wants to be an artist (whether if it’s for her love for acting or a desire to be in the spotlight remains to be seen) while Malicia, afraid of being unseen, finds relief in her friends.
Tumblr media
Kingsley-Ramirez
Jaime and Paxton met/moved in together before they could actually get to know each other, both having been new to the city at the time with zero connections. They found themselves compatible not only as roommates, but eventually boyfriends as well! Jaime always puts others before himself; it shows in the passion he has for social justice causes he advocates for. Meanwhile, Pax works a parttime job at a small coffee shop, but is intent on putting himself through school to become a veterinarian.
Tumblr media
Tanaka-Murdock
Nigel and Shannon met at Foxbury and developed feelings for each other during study sessions. Though Nigel was the only one to graduate, he admires Shannon for making the decision that was right for her. He enjoys being the breadwinner while Shannon follows her artistic instincts, though he wishes he had his wife’s free spirit. Shannon is quite hard on herself and works tirelessly until she makes something she’s proud of while their son Kason, while a quick learner, really just wants to play.
Tumblr media
Miyake
Even if he’s never been the most social person, Kenzo is a loyal and fierce friend to those lucky enough to make it into his circle. A patron of the sciences, he cares deeply about precision and perfection. However, when it comes to raising his son Akira, he wants the boy to follow his own path, even if it’s not exactly the one he would choose for himself. Akira seems to be doing just that; far more sociable than his father, he never fails to leave a lasting impression on anyone he meets.

Event: Winter's Funeral and a Cold Exit
(Tw: there maybe mention of abused. You have been warned)
The day of the Funeral had finally come. After finding the killing game survivors dead and defeating the Bear Deer Demon, Cloud had already hired someone to plan the Funeral for them. It has been weeks, months, since then and now it's time to say goodbye. You were able to get there a few hours earlier, running into Muri who was looking down at her father's body. She was in a black kimono with her hair down. All of the bodies were wearing white, except for Iroha who wore gray, probably due to her criminal background and kind personality.
Muri started to cry, ruining the little makeup she had on. She wanted to see her father but not like this. She wanted to see him alive, not dead. She did not wish for this to be a day of grieve and sorrow. She did not wish to see his dead body nor did she wish for him to die the way he did. She wished to see him again and to live a good life with him raising her. That's what she wanted. That was all she ever wanted, to see him smile. Sadly, she did not got what she had wished for.

Y/N had always been an ordinary person, living her life quietly, away from the spotlight. She enjoyed her job as a graphic designer and cherished the simple moments with her friends. But everything changed when rumors started circulating about her connection to Luke Riordan, a charismatic actor who was making waves in Hollywood.
It all began one sunny afternoon as Y/N was taking a leisurely walk through the park. She had just finished a picnic with her best friend, Sarah, and was enjoying the gentle breeze rustling through the trees. Y/N wore her signature sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat, hoping to remain incognito. She was well aware of the rumors that had been swirling about her lately, and she was determined to keep her personal life private.
As she strolled along the path, a voice interrupted her thoughts, "Excuse me, miss?" Y/N turned to see a well-dressed woman holding a microphone, her camera crew behind her.
"Can I help you?" Y/N asked, feigning ignorance of the woman's intent.
The interviewer flashed a bright, professional smile. "I'm Amy, and I'm from 'Celebrity Spotlight.' We've been hearing some intriguing rumors about your connection to Luke Riordan. Can you tell us how you know the 'Golden Boy' himself?"
Y/N's heart skipped a beat. She hadn't expected this, and for a moment, she hesitated. Her mind raced as she tried to come up with a plausible response that wouldn't reveal too much about her true connection to Luke. She decided to go with the safest half-truth. "Luke and I went to college together, that's all."
Amy's eyes lit up, sensing she had uncovered a juicy tidbit. "College? That's interesting. What can you tell us about your time together in college?"
Y/N shrugged, trying to play it cool. "Well, we had a few classes together, and we were part of the same social circle. Luke was a popular guy, and we hung out a few times. But it was a long time ago, and I haven't really kept in touch with him since."
Amy nodded, looking satisfied with the response. "Thank you for sharing that with us. We'll be sure to keep an eye out for any future developments." With that, she turned and left, leaving Y/N feeling both relieved and uneasy.
As Y/N continued her walk, she couldn't shake the feeling that her vague response had only added fuel to the fire of speculation. She quickened her pace, hoping to put some distance between her and the prying eyes of the media. Little did she know that Luke was watching the interview live on TV at vought, and he couldn't help but smile.
Meanwhile, in a nearby café, Emma was reading the news on her phone and was shocked to see Y/N's unexpected encounter. She quickly dialed Y/N's number. "Hey, I just saw you on TV! Are you okay?"
Y/N sighed, her voice shaky. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just hope that vague answer doesn't make things worse."
"I can't believe they caught you like this," Emma said. "Maybe it's time to tell the truth."
Y/N hesitated. She had been keeping her connection to Luke a secret for a reason, and she wasn't ready to reveal everything just yet. "Not yet, Emma. Let's see how things unfold."
The next day, Y/N decided to avoid the park and stay indoors, hoping the media attention would die down. She busied herself with work and tried to put the incident behind her. But just as she was starting to relax, her phone rang.
"Y/N," Emma's voice was excited, "you won't believe who just walked into the café where I'm having lunch."
Y/N's heart skipped a beat. "Who is it?"
"Luke Riordan himself! He's looking around like he's searching for someone."
Panic set in as Y/N realized she couldn't hide forever. "What should I do?"
"Come over here. I think you need to talk to him. He's been asking around about you."
Y/N hesitated, then reluctantly agreed. She quickly changed into a more presentable outfit, grabbed her hat and sunglasses, and headed to the café. Her heart pounded as she entered and saw Luke sitting alone at a corner table, sipping on a coffee.
As she approached, Luke looked up, his eyes locking onto her. A warm smile spread across his face, and he stood to greet her. "Hey baby"
Y/N nervously glanced around to see if anyone was watching. "Luke, you shouldn't be here. People are talking."
Luke's expression turned serious, and he motioned for her to sit. "I couldn't help myself. I heard about the interview, and I had to come find you." He tilts his head at her, "I have to say, I wasn't a fan of what you said about us" and she remained quiet so he continued, "Y/N, baby, that wasn't even close to it, We were, no." he paused shaking his head, "we are more than just friends who went to college together you know that baby" "Luke" she says, her hand grips the chair infront of her. He gestures for her to sit, and she looks around the cafe and as she expected everyones eyes were on the couple,
She sat down, still wary of the prying eyes around them. "Luke, we need to be careful. I can't just reveal everything."
He leaned in closer, his voice a soft murmur. "I understand, darling, but it's time we let the world know the truth, don't you think?."
Y/N sighed, conflicted. "I just don't want to become another Hollywood scandal."
Luke reached for her hand, his eyes filled with sincerity. "I promise I'll do whatever it takes to protect you. We'll handle this together, and we won't let them exploit us."
As Y/N looked into Luke's eyes, she saw the genuine concern and affection he had for her. She knew she couldn't keep hiding forever, and maybe it was time to embrace the truth, no matter how challenging it might be.
"Okay, Luke," she said with a nod, "let's do this. But let's do it our way."
With a smile, Luke leaned in and kissed her on the cheek, drawing the attention of the café patrons. It was a small, sweet moment, but it sent a clear message to the world that they were together and ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
And so, Y/N and Luke Riordan embarked on a journey to reveal their relationship, but on their terms, showing the world that love could withstand the harsh spotlight of fame. As they walked out of the café hand in hand, they knew they were ready to face whatever came their way, united and stronger than ever.

Pairing: Joel Miller x Female OC
Story summary: three years ago, Juliet escaped her father's religious survivor camp, ending up in the Boston QZ. Juliet created a life for herself in Boston, desperate to forget the trauma of her upbringing. One day, Juliet arrives home to find a mysterious letter which forces her to return to her home town. Juliet can't travel the harsh post-apocalyptic landscape alone, so she enlists the help of the grumpy and, at times, frightening man she works alongside: Joel Miller.

Chapter 1: ‘Marked for Death’
Death coated the back of Juliet’s throat.
This was not unusual. The aroma of rot and decomposition was commonplace in the body disposal department of the Boston QZ. However, if Juliet could actually taste it simmering on her tongue, it meant one thing: she needed a new mask.
The threadbare fabric tied tight around her nose and mouth was singed earlier in the day when her shift partner tossed a body, with more force than necessary, into the large fire pit in the middle of the square. A few wayward sparks had settled on her mask, gradually burning through the cheap material.
Juliet often wondered how the sickly sweet smell of decay could still remain when fire and smoke cleansed the air.
It didn’t surprise her, though: death always lingered.
It was hour eight of her usual Tuesday shift. One more hour and Juliet could collect her ration cards, find her way to the nearest fabric stall then drag herself back to her tiny apartment. Exhaustion weighed heavy on her today, settling in her bones and restricting her movements. Her shift followed a pattern: walk to the loading truck, pick up a body, place it in the fire and try not to look as the skin blackened and blistered.
The same task, the same people, every week, every month and every year of her residence in the Boston QZ. Every day was a repeat of the previous but she was safe and she was hidden, which was all she could hope for.
More bodies, more fire and her shift was over. Another day completed. Juliet used the stained fabric of her t-shirt to wipe the ash from her hands and forehead as she joined the ration queue. She was in line behind Joel Miller, a man who had worked at body disposal as long as she had, probably longer actually.
Tall, with broad shoulders and dark brown hair speckled with grey and ash, Joel Miller towered above her with more than his height. He was impressive, intimidating. Juliet watched as he stretched his neck to the side and wiped the sweat beading on his skin, his shoulders were tight, his stance solid.
Joel had a presence difficult to ignore, being around him always felt like the air had a little less oxygen, as though he took up a bit more space than everyone else. He didn’t talk much, or ever really, just a few grunts and hard instructions grumbled under his breath to whoever was partnered with him on shift.
Juliet found herself drawn to Joel, despite their lack of interactions. Her eyes would follow his movements as they worked, observing his cool indifference as he performed their grim duty. She would notice him around the QZ, too. He was a ghostly presence, often found haunting street corners and disappearing in a blink of an eye.
Juliet knew little about Joel, only that he sold drugs to her weird neighbour who had drunkenly offered her some while attempting to break into her apartment the other night. She added another lock to her door after that.
“Next!” barked the ration officer, shaking Juliet from her thoughts.
She took a step forward and watched as Joel disappeared around the corner, shuffling ration cards in his smoke covered hands. Juliet wondered if he, too, had grown entirely numb to their gruesome occupation.
Juliet wondered if something worse, something more ghastly, haunted his daily life.
After collecting her ration cards and buying a new mask, Juliet made her way home to her crumbling one bedroom apartment. Home was perhaps a strong word, what with its peeling twenty-year wallpaper, mould stained ceilings and less than ideal neighbours. But it was her’s.
Turning the corner onto her street, Juliet’s eyes landed on a hunched form on the front step of her building. Juliet let out a sigh, quickened her steps and forced a smile onto her face. Margaret was waiting for her.
Margaret was her eighty-five year old neighbour who lived on the bottom floor of their building. She enjoyed long conversations, hard liquor, and gossiping about the inner workings of her neighbour's lives.
“Juliet!” Margaret gasped out.
“Hi, Margaret,” Juliet called as she approached, her plastered smile beginning to falter as Margaret struggled to stand.
Juliet moved to hold the woman’s frail arms, she was frantic, her hands grasping at Juliet’s shoulders, desperate to gain her full attention.
“No, you must listen,” Margaret began, before doubling over, releasing a series of strangled coughs and gasps.
“Someone,” she coughed. “Someone was here…” croaked Margaret while pointing her shaking hand behind her, towards the door.
“What? Who?” Juliet asked, she had never seen Margaret so panicked before.
“Oh it was awful,” Margaret began, once again clutching Juliet’s arms, her arthritic fingers formed in a vice-like grip.
“I was knitting at my dining table, working on my sweater… I must show you Juliet, it’s looking so wonderful, I used…”
“Stay focused,” Juliet interrupted, her voice soft and pleading. “What happened?”
“Yes! So, then I heard what sounded like someone marching through the hallway,” Margaret continued, her words quick and tense.
“I knew it wasn’t yourself or Kenny because you were both working. So I got up and looked out my peep-hole.” Margaret’s voice had grown quieter, now almost a whisper.
“And I watched as two men with dark jackets walked past my door and headed upstairs”
“Next thing I know, I hear this horrendous crash. Now, I know it must have been bad because I could hear it! And you know how terrible my hearing is.”
Shock covered Juliet’s features, their apartment building had always been quiet, always lucky to avoid the crime raging the Boston QZ.
“Did you see them leave?” Juliet asked, her voice urgent.
“Yes, thank god,” Margaret answered. “But dear… I think it was your apartment they went into, and by the sound of it, they surely broke down the door.”
Fuck, Juliet thought. Her heart now feverishly pumping the familiar blaze of fear throughout her body. “Stay here,” Juliet ordered, her voice hard as she moved to release her arms from the old woman’s grip. “I’ll go check it out.”
“Please be careful,” Margaret urged, clasping her hands together in a silent prayer.
Stepping into the building, Juliet paused, listening. So familiar with the hum of her neighbours’ usual routines, Juliet could recognise any foreign noise. But no sound was unusual, nothing was amiss… that she could hear anyway.
Feeling somewhat certain no strangers were lurking in the building, ready to emerge from a dark corner and grab her, Juliet decided to keep moving.
Climbing the steps to the first floor, her body was on high alert; any weariness from her gruelling shift was gone, adrenaline now coated her muscles. Only a sharp, steady focus remained.
Reaching her apartment, Juliet stopped, her feet frozen. The door lay open with three of her four locks fractured, surrounded by splintered wood and chipped paint. The fourth lock lay on the floor by her feet, where it must have fallen after being brutally pried from the door. Juliet felt a sinking feeling deep in her gut. Each lock had become an emblem of her security in the Boston QZ. Now they were shattered. A stark reminder that her safety was never guaranteed.
Juliet reached out, her fingers grazing the fractured wood as she gingerly pushed the door all the way open, moving into her apartment. A deep breath and a long exhale later, Juliet stood in her dining area, eyes now locked on a piece of folded paper on her kitchen table.
She moved closer, Juliet’s body had lost its stamina, her limbs weighed her down. Each step towards the yellowed piece of paper was like wading through dark, chilled water.
When she was close enough to recognise the handwriting, everything stilled. The air, the room, her beating heart… all slowing around her. A chorus of no, no, no, no, no, surged through her mind, spiralling inward, forming a shield around the memories threatening to resurface at the sight of that familiar scrawl.
One hand gripped the edge of the table, tangled in the tablecloth, while the other tentatively lifted the paper. ‘My sweet Juliet’ it read in writing she knew so intimately it could have been etched on her heart. Carved with a sharp, brutal knife.
A high pitched ringing enveloped her mind, numbing all sound apart from the echo of her shallow breaths. Juliet’s ash caked fingernails traced the edge of the worn paper, she pulled it apart to reveal a message:
‘Juliet,
How does it feel living so far from home? Surrounded by strangers.
I admit I was shocked that night you left, I wondered what more you could desire, out in the wasteland of our world, that I had not provided you with? I imagine you have come to the conclusion, by now, that there is nothing else worth living for than the love of our lord. You see, I have eyes and ears in places you could never imagine. My men know the power of our lord and live with his blessing every day. I sent these men to find you, Juliet. I sent them to bring you this message.
I have your friend Ethan in my care now, he has taken your place until you return to me. I have every hope that will be soon my dear, Juliet. He, too, screams when the judgement of our lord is upon him.
Travel safely; the lord does not bless the sinners of this earth,
Your father.’
Ethan… No.
Three years, three blissful years only focused on her own survival, liberated from the torture of her childhood. She left Ethan behind, she thought he would be safe. She was wrong, so very wrong.
Why, though, had her father waited so long to find her? To threaten her with Ethan’s safety? His life? She must have hidden well, burrowed herself so deep in the mundane of everyday QZ life, that even her father’s men, dotted about the country, had not found her for three years.
Yet now her nameless existence had come to an end, slaughtered in a matter of seconds. Juliet’s hand clenched, crushing the paper within her palm.
She had to go back. For Ethan, she would go back.
The thought alone made her choke on her breath, gasping for air in the silent room.
Experience had taught her not to take her father’s threats lightly.
Her journey to Boston was monstrous. Juliet witnessed sights which forever scarred the insides of her eyelids, appearing before her on dark and sleepless nights. Could she travel that distance again? Alone? Knowing what’s out there? No… she would die and so would Ethan.
Juliet stumbled to her moth-eaten couch and sank into the decaying cushions. She reached her shaking hands to her eyes and pressed her fingers to her eyelids, pushing harder until only a dark nothingness remained. Her life in the Boston QZ was over…for Ethan she would return to the man who haunted her every step, his existence always reminding her she would never be fully free.
Reluctance acceptance washed over her. For Ethan she would return to her prison, almost assuredly never to escape again.
Removing her hands from her eyes, Juliet released a trembling sigh. Accepting her powerlessness brought a distance from her emotions. The thought of Ethan and the immediacy of the situation had started to drown out her terror and regret, leaving behind a cold numbness.
In her emotionless stupor, Juliet started to plan her way out of the QZ.
A loose floorboard hid a map and a variety of makeshift weapons, including a switchblade which Juliet liked to keep sharp. Both were now on the coffee-table before her, Juliet hunched over the map tracing her journey with the tip of her blade.
There was one problem she couldn’t solve: this was not a journey she could make alone. Juliet survived her journey to Boston on sheer luck and willpower. She would risk her own life, but not Ethan’s. She had to get there alive.
Her blade stilled, its tip pierced through the rough paper into the hardwood table. Juliet’s racing thoughts had settled on the one person she knew had both spent a significant amount of time outside of the QZ and had a route out…
Joel Miller.
Fuck.

10 Fandoms, 10 Characters, 10 Tags
Thank you so much @idle-brit for tagging me!This was lots of fun :) 💖
My tags: @delyth88, @elymusplant, @galaxythreads, @chemical-processes. No pressure to answer, of course :)
1. Loki (MCU)
Tumblr media
As much as I love everyone on this list, there is absolutely no competition for number 1. Loki has been my favourite character of all time for nearly 6 years now (because clearly the best time to join someone's fandom is after they've just been murdered), and is showing absolutely no signs of being replaced anytime soon. I have a Loki blog, for god's sake. The brodinsons are my favourite relationship in any kind of media, ever. I love them so, so much. Loki's a million different things and feelings, all at the same time, all fighting with each other, which makes for a wonderfully complex and nuanced character. Also, he's hilarious. Look at that eye roll. This is a man who hates his life, which makes me feel better about mine. Thanks, Loki.
2. Klaus Hargreeves (The Umbrella Academy)
Tumblr media
As will become obvious throughout this list, I love me an emotionally traumatised crazy person. Klaus is that. One of the characters who makes me laugh the most, ever, show-stopping dress sense, and a bucketload of unresolved trauma which goes largely ignored by Klaus, the other characters and the narrative itself? It was love at first sight. Their banter with the other characters, especially Ghost Ben (rip) is one of my favourite aspects of the show. Here's to hoping that Klaus won't be getting the Allison treatment in season 4!
3. Pippa Fitz-Amobi (A Good Girl's Guide to Murder)
Tumblr media
I binge-read the entire AGGTM series earlier this year, and instantly fell in love with it. Pip is one of my favourite protagonists ever. Impossibly clever, compassionate, obsessive, badass, and a teensy bit unhinged. What's not to love? I would die for her. I'd say that I'd kill for her, but I think she's got that covered. I think she's written in a very realistic way, firstly as a genius 17 year old girl who doesn't really know what she's getting into, and later as a haunted individual who wants to stop investigating but can't. The way she politely knocks on people's front doors to dig up their traumas, accuse them of murder and all-round ruin their lives is everything to me. She is my blorbo. I am so, so excited for the show to come out, and I'm sure that Emma Myers will do a wonderful job as Pip!
4. Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games)
Tumblr media
One of the best-written characters, in one of the best-written series ever. Reading from her perspective is such a delight- she's endlessly suspicious of everyone around her, constantly on survival mode, trusting very few people and relying on exactly no one (to begin with, at least). She's a random teenage girl, from the poorest district, and she wins the Hunger Games. She's so mentally unstable that she has to be sedated, and still she's made to be the face of a rebellion. She's rude, and kind of unlikeable. She adopts all the weakest tributes, at risk to herself, knowing that they won't win. She's doomed to fail by the narrative. She's the it girl of 2010s dystopian YA fiction. Jennifer Lawrence is an amazing actress, who does a beautiful job portraying the depth and conflict of Katniss in the films. The themes and social commentary of the Hunger Games is one of its (many) strong points, and I am so so glad that people are talking about it again, because it is my favourite book series out there.
5. Mitchell Pritchett (Modern Family)
Tumblr media
I have no idea what to say about this man, I just love him. He just like me fr. What an icon. Impeccable music taste. I've started saying, "no my god" now, and nobody understands what I'm talking about. Even in a sitcom, my favourite is the one with issues that he refuses to talk about or fix. The episode where he's trying to hide that he dressed up as spiderman makes me cry-laugh. Claire's speech at his wedding makes me just cry. He's not a perfect man, but he's certainly better than everyone else.
6. Shin Tsukimi (Your Turn to Die)
Tumblr media
My favourite cringefail loser! I said Katniss was doomed by the narrative in a metaphorical way. This idiot is actually doomed.
No but in all seriousness, I do really love him. Before the beginning of the game, he was just a relatively normal young man- but, when confronted with the inevitability of his own death, he made himself into a monster to survive. He has a violent vendetta against the local badass teenage girl, who is traumatised as hell already and does not need Shin chipping in as well, thank you very much. I love his relationship with Kanna, his biological sister; how he uses her, manipulates her, and still cares for her so much that he dies for her with a smile on his face in the Emotion route. Conversely, in the Logic route, his actions are a direct cause of her death, and I just love how much YTTD hates siblings. I hope that his past with Midori is explored more in either a mini-episode or the final part of the game, because I find it sooo interesting. I'm super excited to see whether he actually has no chance of survival, or whether he makes it out, against the odds, on one of the routes. He's a bit useless, so I won't get my hopes up.
7. Rue Bennett (Euphoria)
Tumblr media
I think it goes without saying that Euphoria has its issues, lol. Sam Levinson is an idiot. While a lot of the show (especially season 2) feels shallow and like it doesn't care about its characters, Rue's storylines always have heart and depth and I am so invested in her arc. It's no wonder that Zendaya won 2 Emmys for this role, because her acting is phenomenal! Rue feels so real to me, in the way that she's trying so hard to stay sober but she falls down and relapses time and time again. Recovery isn't linear, but she's getting there, and I adore her with all my heart. Her relationships with Lexi, her mother, her sister, and her sponsor, Ali, are my favourites, and the healthiest for her, in my opinion. Her brief friendship/ romance with Jules may have kept her more solidly sober than anything else in the show, but Jules (understandably) cracks under the pressure of Rue's mental health, and can't be there for her. Rue needs to heal for herself, which she appears to be doing at the end of S2.
8. Max Mayfield (Stranger Things)
Tumblr media
Duffer brothers, please just let her be happy.
Despite only being introduced in Season 2, Max has, in my opinion, had the best character development out of everyone on the show. Her growth from someone standoffish, rude, and uninterested in the group (maybe I'm being a bit harsh. She was, like, 12) to someone who is willing to risk her life to help her friends and Hawkins means so much to me. The scene in "Dear Billy" (S4, Ep4) where she escapes from Vecna remains my favourite in the whole show and will probably be burned into my brain forever. Her relationships with Lucas and El are very sweet, and some of my favourites in Stranger Things. Her final line in S4, after all her struggles over the season, being that she doesn't want to die literally breaks my heart. I hope she gets some degree of a happy ending in the final season. She was my first profile picture when I joined this hellsite, and I love her a lot.
9. Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables)
Tumblr media
The shenanigans that this girl gets up to never fail to make me laugh. The bit where she accidentally dyes her hair green and then has to hack it all off makes me feel awful for her, but. it's hilarious. Sorry, Anne. Her friendship with Diana is so sweet but also so funny to me because they really are the most chaotic duo of the 1880s. The scene where Anne accidentally gives her alcohol instead of fruit juice is so mortifying but so, so funny. Amidst all of the insane situations that Anne gets into are a lot of really heartwarming moments and relationships. Matthew and Marilla adopting Anne, even though they wanted a boy, because she's so endearing and alone in the world is probably what made me who I am today. I still haven't gotten around to watching Anne with an E, but I've heard it's amazing. I look forward to watching it when I have the time :).
10. Daphne Blake (Scooby Doo)
Tumblr media
My first ever favourite character! Another one who I don't have a tonne to say about. She's an icon, she's a legend, and she is the moment. She has done nothing wrong, ever. She knows martial arts, so watch out.
Honourable mentions: Thor (MCU), Finnick Odair (The Hunger Games), Gretchen Weiners (Mean Girls), Jake Peralta (Brooklyn 99), Maurice Moss (The IT Crowd), The Eleventh Doctor (Doctor Who), James (The End of the F***ing World), Ali Abdul (Squid Game).
If you read all of this then thanks, and have a great day!

↬ content/warnings: none. fluffy! meet-cute, kojo is the best boy, takes place during s3ep10
↬ word count: 2.2k words
Tumblr media
The spring came with a gentle spirit, as one who realizes that warming up softly often brings the best results to the heart and soul.
“Beautiful afternoon, isn't it, bud?”
A handsome, charming man with a precious English bulldog by his side gravitates to the fresh air at the park. The owner receives a cheerful bark from his furry best friend.
Tim is finally on his day off, where he can lay low and be carefree for once. He decided to take Kojo for a walk because why not? Since it’s the beginning of spring, Tim will take advantage of going for more outdoor activities and possibly something else. It’s not that he is unsure or disagreeing about looking for someone. For his life as a cop and all that, Tim tries not to get attached.
Being single is easy: No crazy exes, no pressure, and living through life without multiple priorities. Well, Kojo is one of Tim’s priorities, but he is a good boy and gives the best comfort. All thanks to his former Boot, he has someone to come home to. And the other is keeping the city and people safe.
“Okay, this should be a good spot.”
The man goes onto the plot of land filled with emerald green grass and puts down his backpack. He takes off his dog’s leash so he can run around.
When taking out a round item from his bag, Tim yells, “Fetch, boy!” He throws it in the air. Kojo instantly sprints to get his favorite toy.
He finds it within seconds and runs back to his human. Tim laughs merrily and bends his legs. “Atta boy! You are amazing!” He pats the dog’s head. Kojo wags his tail vigorously because he loves compliments.
Tim stands up again, and the bulldog eyes on the rubber ball. “Ready? One, two, three go!” Tim throws it much farther than before. Kojo moves urgently to follow the flying ball. The cute animal watches it fall onto the ground, and he takes it. Then he notices a girl passing by. His eyes gaze at the person and read them like an observer.
“What’s taking so long?” Tim does see Kojo from a long distance. Suddenly, the copper brown and white colored dog runs off to elsewhere. Tim’s sky-blue eyes widened. “What the hell? Hey, Kojo!” His pet doesn’t usually do that because Kojo knows he will get lost or hurt.
The sweet yet mischievous dog mindlessly follows whoever he lays his eyes on and ignores his owner because he is chasing him.
Kojo tries searching for that person. It’s a pretty girl who he senses has a gentle demeanor.
Taking a trip to the park for a solo date is helping her get out of her comfort zone. Once finding an empty spot by the lake, Emma layers a pink blanket on the grass and continues her unfinished canvas. She has a mini easel in her hands with pastel paint and brushes. On the easel is My Melody. Even though Emma is an adult, she will forever love cute things with cartoon characters because it makes her happy.
While painting a background, Emma hears rapid footsteps coming near the spot. She looks to her left to notice an adorable dog sitting on his bottom with a ball in his mouth. “Oh, hi there.” A delightful smile plays across her face. Emma puts down the supplies and unfinished canvas on the blanket. She gingerly pets his head. “Are you lost?” She asked the furry creature.
Kojo huffs and sits on his stomach. He drops the ball out of his big mouth to greet her with a sunny smile. Emma checks his collar to read the tag. “Kojo. Is that your name?” She asked, which made him wag his tail gleefully—she guessed that was the correct answer.
“Kojo!” Someone yells for him.
Emma looks away from the dog, who is distracted by her. She spots a man in a blue short-sleeved hoodie with a gray top underneath, black sweats, and sneakers. Not to mention, he is pretty attractive. Then the switch gets turned on. Emma’s dazed moment ended because she almost forgot about the situation. “Is this your dog, sir?” She points at the smiling canine.
Tim stopped running as he got closer to the pair. “Yes, and so sorry, ma’am. He doesn’t usually misbehave.” Tim sincerely apologizes. Emma shook her head, “No, he was a sweet boy. I think he wanted pets or interaction.” She turns her attention to Kojo, who hasn’t realized his owner is there.
“Well, that’s good. Come on, boy, let’s go.” Tim ordered his friend. Kojo ignored him again and put his big head on Emma's lap. It made the two humans baffled.
“Kojo, I’ll give you lots of treats.” Tim does his best to convince the bulldog. Just like that, he listens to his owner by standing on his four paws. He returns to Tim’s side, and his leash gets put back on.
Tim sighs deeply, “My apologies, ma’am. He is still young and is a furball of energy.” He feels indecent to have his pet disrupt a person’s relaxing day. Emma goes on her feet to tell Tim it is alright because Kojo meant no harm or is a bad boy.
Suddenly, a spark happens when their eyes meet, and there is a change of atmosphere.
Tim would be a liar if he said Emma wasn’t a beauty. Hell, her aura is the complete opposite of him. She radiates purity, rainbows, and sunshine. She even looks untouchable. Her long mocha brown hair is silky and is in a high ponytail with a bow. She has beautiful eyes, fair skin, and is very petite. She resembles a delicate doll.
The cop starts to speak, “I-I uh hope you have a great day. I’m Tim.” He politely tells his name, trying to brush off the awkwardness. “My name is Emma. I hope you have a lovely day, Tim.” She smiles demurely with a blush coloring her face. Tim did a short nod and walked off with Kojo.
It’s not the first time she encountered a handsome man. Usually, Emma would not have her way with them because she is shy. Growing up, she wasn’t the type to go to kids and ask them to play with her. Whenever she met new people, she would say hi and leave. It felt rude of her, but Emma never had the confidence to get out of her shell.
Nowadays, she has been pushing herself and acknowledging that fear and uncertainty exist, and she can’t let those feelings get to her. Even though the world is cruel and terrifying, Emma is willing to challenge herself.
⁺˚⋆。°✩₊
“Quit is a four-letter word! Do you hear me?! Failure is not an option!”
Tim demands Kojo, and he is lying on the ground with a huge smile. The dog is refusing to leave the park. Tim becomes dispirited. “Come on, man. We’re almost home.” He pleads at Kojo. It’s bizarre how he has been refusing to listen to Tim.
Ding
His phone gets a text message from Angela, A.K.A colleague and a wonderful yet crazy friend. Tim reads her text,
911 I need you ASAP
25616 Wilshire
Angela has been on his ass since he signed up for the wedding plans. But although, Tim is committed to making her feel great on her big day.
“Who wants a steak, huh?” He asked Kojo. The bulldog perks on his feet again. The words treat and steak is the key to making him oblige. Tim’s home is not far from the park, so he dropped off Kojo, gave him some food and water, and went on to help Angela.
The address that she sent him is a wedding dress store. Tim furrowed his eyebrows in confusion when he read the sign on the building. After parking his car, he enters the place. Then a lady sees him.
“Can I help you?” She cordially questions.
Tim replies in a soft voice, “Is Angela Lopez here?” He wonders where his friend is at.
The lady who seems to be running the store tells Tim, “In the changing suite. She has gone through half of her tissue supplies.” When stating about Angela’s distraught, Tim rolls his eyes in annoyance. He thanked the lady and went to find the future bride.
The male cop opens the drapes of the changing suite to notice Angela is bawling her eyes out, wearing a dress. “You okay? What happened?” He asked her. “This.” She gestures to the dress.
“You’re going into labor.” Tim assumed. But Angela denies it because it’s not the problem. She refers to the baby bump that takes over half of her body. She is insecure about the dress not looking perfect and tries hiding it.
As a loyal friend, Tim wanted to encourage Angela that there was no issue in showing her bump. Plus, she texted 911 on him during his day off. How marvelous.
“Are you ashamed of your baby?” Tim did a little nudge on Angela to make her less concerned.
“Of course not.” She responded without hesitation.
Tim exclaims, “Okay! Who cares what your stupid friends think? Show off that baby belly! Wear what you feel confident in!” He is speaking the truth because he is not beating around the bush. It did make Angela laugh and lighten up her mood.
“Hell, wear a white half-tee and let your gut hang out like my Uncle Elliot at my niece’s christening.” Tim somehow has questionable yet intriguing stories about his family.
Soon enough, he spent the rest of his hour choosing a dress for his friend. Regardless of how long they’ve known each other, Tim is grateful to have a special relationship with Angela. It still astounds him that she’ll be a wife and a mom.
“How is your day, Tim?” Angela is trying on dresses behind the curtains.
Her friend is sitting on the chair, scrolling through his phone. “It was fine until you ruined it.” He bluntly gives her a response.
Angela rolls her eyes. “Oh, haha. I’m glad I did.” She chuckles slyly. “But for real. Did you do anything today?” She continues on with the topic.
Tim puts away his phone in his sweats. “Well, I visited the park with Kojo. We walked around and played fetch. But then something happened. Kojo ran off to look for this girl. I don’t know who she is, but he somewhat liked her, I guess.” It’ll be a core memory for Tim.
He then hears a snicker from Angela. “Are you sure Kojo is more than a dog? He could be your cupid or wingman.” She figured, playfully yet keeping it serious. Tim groans, “No. We are not going there.” He has the urge to leave now.
The female detective laughs blithely because he always dodges a significant topic. “I’m just saying, Bradford. That day will come eventually.” She is optimistic about her prediction.
Outside of work, Angela knows Tim personally. It may not look like it due to professionalism on duty, but she has ways to make a stubborn yet loyal man open up. To shock others, he was once a quiet person when he first joined the LAPD. He would stay in his circle and never liked to be in people’s business. But Angela stepped into his life. She is like his helping hand—a faithful companion to love, trust, and respect.
She chose Tim as her man of honor.
“You doing okay in there?” The cop asked because he heard her struggling.
“Have you ever tried zipping up a dress with a bowling ball on your belly? It takes time, so quit rushing me.” Angela can tell Tim is getting impatient.
“I am not rushing you. I’m prepared to stay here until you’ve tried on every single dress.” He makes a reason that he’ll wait for her but also glances at his watch because it’s close to evening. Angela requested a v-neck and bell sleeves.
After having difficulties with the zipper, Angela finally reveals to Tim a stunning sequence dress that contrasts her baby bump flawlessly. His face brightens, “Woah.” He is amazed. Angela smiles widely, “I know, it’s perfect. Thank you so much for doing this with me.” She genuinely appreciates all of the hustle and bustle Tim had to go through. “Of course,” He said.
Then, abruptly, a scrap was happening outside of the changing suite. Tim and Angela go and check to see what’s up. It turns out two bridezillas are fighting over a dress.
The two didn’t want to get involved because they would end their lives. Tim grabs his phone to film for evidence. At a nick of time, two former Boots, Lucy and Jackson, approach the battle.
"Are you helping her find a wedding dress?" Lucy asked Tim merrily.
"Now, I am not watching you do your job." Her former TO gave a stern response.
Unfortunately, when trying to break up the bridezillas, one of them splattered a glass of water on the new P2s.
Angela smirks, “They grow up so fast, don’t they?” She looks at Tim with a proud expression. Tim mentally agrees. However, starting tomorrow, he’ll be a TO for a new rookie.

Oh nooooo somebody stole my Aidlyn/Ashden headcanons so now I have to write more ... ✨️
(SORRY IM SPAMMING THE TAG 😭😭😭)
Some of these are based on my dad because he has bpd and he really reminds me of Aiden.
-His sense of humor is so broken like. Probably makes "that's what she said" and "your mom" jokes. Ash thinks he is the unfunniest person alive 🤡 and she STILL laughs at him (but never when he's trying to be funny). I think he'd be on Vine a lot lmao. He would laugh at that video of the bread slice falling over no cap.
-Aiden Clark, Professional Doomscroller. Maybe an itty bitty bit addicted to social media cuz "omg easy dopamine hit" even if he doesn't post a lot. Would prolly be chronically on TikTok if he was a teen today 🤡 Ash WILL steal his phone and hide it so they can "do something productive" (which alternates between her trying to teach him basic life skills to him falling out of a tree because they went outside for five minutes)
-her parents also gave him a truly awful shovel talk. He came out of it, kneeled in front of her, and said if he broke her heart to kill him before her parents did 💖 Tyler and him bond about their "scary in laws", although he has a better relationship with Mike and Emma than Tyler does with Mary and James 🤡
-convinced her to go to prom because "free food" and managed to wrangle out a slow-dance from her. He already likes dancing, SHE likes dancing...he wants to dance together ^_^
-She really likes his normal smile, when he's not forcing it. He takes good care of his teeth, so he's got a real bright smile :)
-Aiden tried to teach her how to skateboard a few times. She can...stand on it without falling off and roll around, but no tricks lol. Ash still thinks it was just an excuse for him to grab her hands or waist while she was balancing.
-Some problems in the relationship: they are not very good at communicating how they feel, so there's a lot of misunderstandings between them unless the gang intervenes haha ":D Sometimes Ash feels very suffocated by him and she really dislikes his apathy towards himself, and Aiden sometimes feels like Ash doesn't care about him nearly as much as he cares about her.
-his depressive episodes alternate between "I'm just gonna lie here and hope I die" to "actively trying to self destruct", sometimes he might go on a binge (overdosing on his meds, and when he's older he might sometimes drink too much or go on really dangerous joy rides, he's an awful driver), they really freak Ash out :( Recovery is a very long road with no end destination. She's trying to get better at reassuring him and he's trying to...just get better.
-both of them suck at remembering their anniversary 🤡 Aiden is a littleeeee bit better
-They have a knife collection they share ❤️
-he has her as "love of my life 💖✨️😍" on his phone contacts and has a special ringtone for her and everything. Absolutely not embarrassed about it, Ash...definitely is 💀 (she has him as "Aiden")
-sends her really bad poetry he wrote for her because writing his feelings down by himself is easier than saying it in the moment. Ash keeps all of them in a shoebox in her closet.
-she's not really good with touching and stuff but she feels better touching him, like a good stim. Really likes holding his face (no eye contact). Also enjoys him holding her hand.
-Secretly a little insecure about how she looks. She has never really thought about it before because she never cared about it, but now, in a relationship, she's kinda self conscious about him perceiving (read: constantly staring) her. She's very short and thin (even with muscles from ballet and training) and feels like a "late bloomer." Aiden thinks she's the closest thing to physical perfection that exists and will tell her this constantly ^_^
-She actually likes how he smells (grâce à: his really expensive soap lmao) but she would die before telling him lol
-The first time she kissed him her brain kinda shut off and she just squished their faces together while puffing her cheeks up. He bust out laughing and completely murdered the mood 💀 They'll figure it out...eventually

I said NO! [P.P & F]
Storybrooke/ Childish Peter & Responsible Felix x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Requested // Request Rules
"Not in Neverland, but if you lived with Pan and Felix in Storybrooke or something, I feel like Pan would let you buy whatever you wanted and Felix would have to like, stop you. And it makes me laugh"
A/n - Omg yesss. Lol, I can totally see that! Like if they were modern or in storybrooke, Peter would be like-
"Y/n can have EVERYTHING they want!"
And Felix would be the more reasonable and down to earth one saying stuff like.
"But Peter!! That's so expansive!" Or like "Okay, well, how are we going to pay for that?!"
It would be such a cute situation 😍😂 I might even end up making a cute little drabble about it... 🤔 I don't know; it's up to y'all if y'all want to see it.

***Y/n's Pov***
Life has been a little chaotic ever since Peter and Felix arrived here in Storybrooke. Long story short, we managed to find a happy ever after for all of us.
Lucky for Peter, Regina and Emma allowed him to come with the help of Henry, convincing them, of course.
Now you might be wondering... Why in the world would Peter Pan want to leave Neverland? Well, he didn't. But I wanted to know he's here with me and Felix.
Oh, and by the way, we're all dating... Or at least I'm dating Peter and Felix. They aren't really dating each other since, well, they say they don't swing that way, but anything is better as long as I can love them both equally~!
Time skip!~
A good amount of time has passed since that incident, and people around here are starting to trust us. Which is a good thing since now we won't get a lot of death glares, and we can actually talk to Henry without anyone staring at us.
It felt great being able to just be a part of something, and the lost boys seemed to like their new environment, too. Some of them even have jobs!
Which reminds me of our struggles... Since Peter was the one behind all that havoc, it's kind of hard for him to get one... And besides that, he hasn't even put in a lot of effort into trying.
He'd always say stuff like, "Jobs are for old people. It sucks the life out of everyone!"
Meanwhile, Felix got a job super-fast. Which isn't much of a surprise since he's the responsible one in this relationship... Though, don't tell Peter I said that, or he'll throw a fit.
Anyway, I got a job, too, but it barely pays. I work here at Grannies as a busser. All I do is clean tables and dishes. It isn't hard since we don't get a lot of customers at once, but it's decent.
However, the pay isn't the greatest. It's fine for one person, but I'm with two others... So, we mainly have to rely on Felix's income.
He works as a construction worker, and he barely gets any time off... Especially the giant incident. Tiny literally destroyed half the town. It was a great pay, though.
Anyways, enough of that! Me, Felix, and Peter are currently heading to the grocery store to buy some food for the week.
Felix always hated shopping for food. But I know that's not true. He only hated it when me and Peter tagged along because we'd always add more than what was planned in the cart.
Felix would end up telling us no and to put it back, and Peter would say no to his demand every time, and those two would end up fighting about it all the way home.
It's honestly annoying. If I had enough money, I'd just buy groceries myself...
Anyways, it isn't all that bad. There'll be times when Peter and I would agree into getting something, and we'd pled Felix into buying it for us... That usually works surprisingly well.
Or times when Peter and Felix would agree into buying something, and they'd take it home to show me. Usually, it would turn out to be a gift they think I'd like or food they know I like. I love it when they do it for no reason. It always warms my heart knowing they both agreed to get it just for me~
Overall, life was great. Peter gets along with children surprisingly well. And they end up loving him too; meanwhile, they'd always avoid Felix at all costs. It was pretty funny.
Felix would always have to be the bad guy and pull Peter away from his fun. But that's how it always was. If Peter gets too ahead of himself or starts to think like he owns the place- Felix would always be there to slap some sense into him. And my part- well, my role is to help calm Peter down after he gets slaps.
His 'tantrums' are no joke people. Especially when he's trying his hardest to behave for me. After all, he didn't want this, but I'm sure deep down he actually enjoys it, and I know Felix does too.
He'd always smile for the strangest things... Like every time he finds a word for his crossword puzzle or when he finishes organizing something...
Overall, these two balance each other well, and I'm the glue to this whole ordeal! I wouldn't want it any other way, either~!

The Dangers of Hope Ch. 2
Tumblr media
Series Summary: When Y/N shows up at Camp Chitaqua with her little girl in tow, her bloodshot eyes leave no doubt that she's infected. Or is she? Everything Dean has come to know for certain over the last five hellish years, is about to be challenged.
Pairings/Characters in the series: Endverse!Dean x Reader, Emma (OFC), Castiel, Sam Winchester, Lucifer, Michael, Zachariah, Risa, Johnston (OMC), Patrick (OMC), Theresa (OFC),other survivors and soldiers.
Series Explicit 18 +/Warnings: Show level violence, some gore, angst, smut, fluff all the usual for a series of mine. ❤️ Endverse!Dean (that's a warning for his anger and callousness as well as his extreme hotness. 😁) Each chapter will have their own specific warnings.
Chapter Warnings: Not too much. A mention of recurring nightmares, some talk of fears.
Word Count: 4,240
A/N: So, I've had this idea for quite a while. Basically since I watched The Last of Us. I loved Pedro in the role of Joel, but I kept thinking how incredible Jensen would have been. Which then made me think of how amazing he was as Endverse!Dean which then led me to this idea. Lol! I've stolen the premise of Ellie's storyline from TLOU, but made her a grown up, a reader insert, and a love interest for Dean.
If you've never seen TLOU, don't worry - you don't need to have seen it to understand this story. 😊
I've taken some liberties with the Endverse in my story, changed a few things from canon, but kept lots of things too.
I sincerely hope you enjoy the story. It will be ten chapters and I will do my very best to post one chapter every weekend. ❤️
A/N 2: Thank you SO much to everyone who was so kind and gave such a lovely reception to the first chapter of the series. I hope you enjoy this new chapter too! ❤️

The big, wide log cabin seemed so completely empty after Dean Winchester left, as though his presence alone was what had filled it.
The blue-eyed man - Castiel - ran after him quickly, shouting an order to a guard outside to let no one go in.
So Y/N sat completely still, listening to the muffled sounds of camp life happening on the other side of the pine walls. Her exhausted brain was trying to comprehend what had happened, trying to piece it all together.
The first person she'd encountered had been the woman, Risa. She and another soldier had been guarding the border of the camp when Y/N and Emma finally stumbled out of the forest.
Y/N was fairly certain she would have been shot on site if Emma hadn't been there. Instead, their hesitation gave her the chance to swear up and down that, despite appearances, she wasn't a Croat.
The two soldiers had eye-balled each other and Risa had finally told the other guard to stay at the outpost.
“The Boss is still out on the raid. I'm taking them to Castiel.”
She'd pulled the heavy chains and manacles out of the guard post shack, and brought Y/N, cuffed and bound, to see Castiel. She’d met with him in the big cabin, tying Y/N to the table and then explaining things to him. He'd seemed a bit out of it at first, but then seemed to sober up quickly when Risa explained the situation to him a second time. Then he examined Y/N and made her tell him the story again. His face got progressively more dumbstruck as she spoke.
When he was informed that the Boss was back, he'd told Risa to take Emma away somewhere safe while they all talked.
Now, in the big, lonely cabin Y/N had to shake her head. She’d been so certain, in the end, that she was going to die. But Dean had walked away and left her breathing.
Just another miracle that somehow kept her alive for one more day.
The evening wore on and the light began to disappear, leaving only a dusky blue twilight inside the cabin. She didn't like the night time and the dark. It was a fear that had started with the poltergeist when she was sixteen - when every time she turned off the light and closed her eyes, something evil emerged to cause her pain and terrorize her in the dark.
Before long, the very last of the twilight left the room, and unknown, unkind darkness loomed all around her, and she began to feel the panic rising. But suddenly, just before it could take hold completely, Dean strode through the door, carrying a bright lantern that banished the dark. She breathed a sigh of relief, thankful to see him in spite of everything.
He moved to stand directly in front of her, almost exactly where he stood when he’d elected not to shoot her. She looked up at him and gave a slight smile, not knowing what else she could do. Then she thought to ask the question foremost on her mind.
“Can I see Emma? I'd like her to know I'm safe.”
“No.” He said, shooting down the request without hesitation. He moved over to a metal folding chair that sat at the end of one of the tables and pointed at it.
“I'm gonna sit right here, all night, not sleeping. And if you so much as twitch? I promise I'll put you down.”
Y/N still couldn't help but appreciate the light he'd brought in for her, and the fact that she was still breathing, so she gave another half smile. “Okey dokey.”
He looked briefly taken aback by her response before his scowl returned. He plunked himself down on the chair and folded his arms across his chest, sitting up ramrod straight. It didn't look very comfortable.
But then, her spot on the hard floor, chained to the table, wasn't all that comfy either. But she decided she was grateful that the length of the chain allowed her to comfortably move her arms around. That was something.
She leaned back against the wide metal leg of the table and tried to relax. But soon her active mind was wandering and she stole a glance at Dean, wondering about how very different he was now. Of course twelve years was a long time in the best of circumstances. Twelve years spent fighting monsters and battling through an apocalypse was bound to change a person.
As she stared at him he turned his head and caught her at it outright. She blushed slightly and decided to cover with a question. “Can I see Emma tomorrow?”
“No.” Dean said before going back to staring at the far wall.
His outright refusal was frustrating. But she worried that arguing with him might be considered “twitching”, so she kept her mouth closed.
The silence stretched out again and made Y/N antsy. She was used to Emma’s little-girl-babbling, her singing, and just her general five-year-old noisiness. The camp was mostly silent on the other side of the wall as well, only the crickets could be heard, playing their creaky songs.
Her eyes once again settled on the only interesting thing in the room, Dean. She tried to be less obvious about staring this time, but realized she’d failed when he spoke harshly without looking in her direction.
“Why are you staring at me?” His voice was full of annoyance.
“I’m not.” She said quickly and unconvincingly.
He finally looked at her and his face was cold and angry. She remembered that he used to have a really bright, beautiful smile.
“Why can’t I see Emma?” She asked, aware she was probably pushing buttons she shouldn't.
Dean ignored her and slowly looked away again. Y/N huffed out an angry puff of air and despite her worries about riling him, decided to argue. “She’s my daughter. I just want to make sure she’s okay, and let her know that I’m okay too.”
He remained silent and Y/N’s voice became desperate. “Please!”
Dean swung his head back to look at her angrily. “Look, I’m probably going to end up shooting you. When that happens, do you want her to have to go through all of it again? Or worse, have her sitting in the room when you turn and I have to take you out?”
Y/N felt a lump form in her throat, but she shook her head. “No.” She said softly.
Dean lifted his hand and then dropped it, looking away again. “So okay. Then shut up about it.”
Y/N was only a little offended and sighed slowly. After being quiet for a minute she spoke with another frustrated sigh.
“Okay, but do we just have to sit here? This is boring.” Her eyes lit up slightly. “We could play twenty questions.”
Dean looked back at her and his expression was finally registering as something other than angry or blank. He obviously thought she was nuts.
She shrugged. “Just to pass the time.” When he just continued to stare, she shook her head. “No? How ‘bout the alphabet game?”
Dean’s perplexed expression fell back into his usual scowl but Y/N trudged on anyway. “The alphabet game is where you pick a subject, like countries of the world, or 80s action movies or something, and then go back and forth, each having to come up with something that matches the next letter. Like if I said ‘Action Jackson’, you’d say…’Beverly Hills Cop’, then I’d say-”
“Shut. Up.” Dean said succinctly. His mossy green eyes were dark, and quiet frustration oozed out of him.
Y/N slumped back against the table leg. “Sorry. I talk when I'm nervous, and when I’m bored. So, it’s a double whammy here. Hence the motor mouth.”
“Go to sleep.” Dean said in a clipped tone.
“I have too much adrenaline for sleep. I WAS almost shot today, after all.”
Dean’s jaw clenched before he looked away from her again and leaned back slightly in the chair. “If you don’t shut up and go to sleep I may change my mind about the ‘almost’ part.”
Y/N bit her lip trying to suppress a giggle as exhaustion and adrenaline combined with her twisted sense of humor. The result was a loud snort that had Dean once again looking at her like she was nuts.
She smiled at him, wishing he’d smile back, and shared the movie quote that was tickling her funny bone.
“Good night, Westley. Good work, sleep well. I’ll most likely kill you in the morning.”
When Dean just stared at her silently, she shook her head. “Princess Bride? No? It’s a classic.”
She swore she saw his hand move towards the holster on his thigh and she raised her hands in surrender. “Okay. Sorry. I’ll be quiet now.”
Dean stared a while longer at her and she wondered if he really was contemplating shooting her, until he finally looked away and settled himself more comfortably in the chair.
She sighed. It was gonna be a long night.

Y/N was floating down a river in a little canoe. Emma was sitting across from her and talking to her, though she was still a baby.
“We’re lost, Mommy.” She said and Y/N shook her head. She had to keep her baby safe and that included keeping her safe from the truth.
“No we’re okay, baby.” Y/N said as the river got choppy and sharp rocks jutted out, waiting for them around every bend. They careened straight towards one, and Y/N could do nothing to steer the canoe around it; the one oar she had was mostly turning her in circles. They smashed into the rocks and the boat began filling with water.
“Mommy, the water is coming up.” Said Baby Emma. “We’re gonna drown.”
“No, we won’t baby. I won’t let us.”
Y/N tried to scoop the water out with her hands, but it was just too fast. They were sinking. Y/N grabbed for Emma but the baby began to float away.
“Emma!” Y/N called out to her daughter as she floated farther and farther away. But even though she was almost a mile away, Y/N could still hear her little voice right in her ear.
“You lost me, mommy. I can’t come back, I’m lost.”
“No! I didn’t!” Y/N cried out, jerking awake.
The cabin had sunshine pouring in through the east-facing windows. It was morning, she was alive, and so was Emma, she reassured herself, she was just out somewhere in the camp. Her recurring nightmare could be left in the shadows. She took a deep breath and looked over at Dean. He was staring intensely at her. She raised her hands.
“Sorry, not ‘twitching’, just a bad dream.”
Dean still didn’t blink. It was unnerving. “Did you really not sleep at all?” Y/N asked.
“Said I wouldn’t.”
Y/N took in his posture in the chair, straight and alert; he’d barely moved an inch all night. It made her smile and shake her head.
“Huh.”
Dean’s scowl was firmly in place. “What?” He questioned.
Y/N shrugged. “No, nothing. It’s just good to see that things haven’t changed much, after all.”
Dean scoffed. “Woman, everything in the world has changed.” He looked away from her. “And it just keeps changing every day.”
“Maybe,” Y/N conceded. “But yet here you are, all these years later, and you’re still protecting people.”
His head swung back towards her and he seemed offended. “What the hell are you talking about?”
Y/N lifted a manacled wrist and gestured beyond the cabin. “You sat up all night, in what I can only assume to be the world’s most uncomfortable chair, to make sure that everyone in the camp was safe from a potential monster.” She shrugged again. “Because you’re still protecting people.”
“That is not what this is.” Dean said angrily, and Y/N raised an eyebrow.
“No?”
“No.” Dean reiterated. “I am the leader of this camp, and leaders do their own dirty work. If you turn, I’m gonna be the one to shoot you.”
“To save your soldiers having to do it.” Y/N said with a nod.
“No!” Dean barked. It surprised her that he was so angry about what she was saying. It was obvious to her. The hunter she’d known may have turned into a soldier, may have gotten a little harder, but from everything she’d seen, he was still Dean Winchester underneath.
His face was a snarl now, though. “Look, I don’t want you thinking I’m some kind of benevolent nursemaid here.” Dean tried to explain. “Everyone in camp has jobs, has their roles. It’s how we’ve all survived so far. My role is to keep the camp guarded. And I do that so everyone else can perform their roles. It’s simply a matter of survival. If you turn into a Croat and start killing folks, that lowers our numbers, makes us all more vulnerable. That’s all this is. So don’t go thinking I’m some kind of bleeding heart. When the time comes, I will take you down.”
Y/N nodded slowly. “Okay.” She said calmly. She didn’t really believe a word of it. But she wouldn’t argue with his need to make her see him as deadly.
“I mean it. I won’t hesitate.” Dean said coldly.
“But,” Y/N looked at him and gave a small smile, “you already did. Hesitate, I mean.”
Dean’s jaw ticked. “Are you taunting me?” His voice was low and very menacing.
Y/N raised her hands, making the chains rattle. “No!” She denied vehemently. “I’m not taunting you, I’m thanking you. That hesitation saved my life.”
Dean’s glare was hot and angry. “Well, like I told you, things change real quick these days, so don’t tempt me.”
He turned away from her again and Y/N lowered her hands. His attitude was not what she’d expected. He honestly seemed insulted that she’d implied that he was a good man who made it his mission to keep people safe.
Silence descended again, until Y/N began shifting around, noisily rattling her chains.
“Stay still.” Dean barked without looking at her.
“I can’t.” Y/N said, slightly embarrassed. “I…I have to…pee.”
Dean turned to look at her for a moment and then shrugged. “Go ahead.”
Y/N’s face scrunched up in disgust. “Ew.” When Dean made no move to rectify the situation, she let out an annoyed huff. “Do you at least have a bucket?”
Dean continued to stare at her for a long time, before calling out. “Johnston!”
A thin man holding a rifle stepped in the door. He’d clearly been standing just outside. “Yes sir?”
“I need your help with the latrine.”
“Sir?” The young man’s face was confused and Y/N snorted out a laugh.
Dean shot her a dirty look. “Shut up.” He ordered. She bit her lip to stifle her smile.
He turned back to the soldier. “With her, Johnston.” He said, pointing at Y/N. “I need help taking her to the latrines. I’m gonna hold her chains, so I need you to keep a gun on her.”
“Oh!” The man was clearly very relieved. “Yes sir.”
Dean stood up and took a key from the inside pocket of his green canvas jacket, bending to unlock the padlock that kept Y/N attached to the table. He pulled her to her feet and she stumbled into him, her legs being slightly wobbly and asleep from her uncomfortable position.
“Sorry.” She said, suddenly shy as she stood so near him. She looked up into his face and was slightly mesmerized by his shining emerald eyes and the dusting of freckles on his cheeks. He really was remarkably beautiful, moreso today than when he’d come to save her all those years ago.
Dean just grunted and stepped back, holding her thick chains in his big hand easily. He took the lead, his long strides forcing her to jog along behind him or risk being dragged all the way.
The camp was still just waking up and she could smell coffee brewing around the campfires where people sat sleepily rubbing their eyes and then popping them wide open as the strange procession passed by them. She tried to smile at them, but the fear on their faces made her remember her bloodshot eyes, and she lowered her head. They probably thought their leader had gone crazy, dragging a Croat around on a leash.
After a few minutes of walking they reached a row of outhouses, plain but well built. Dean pointed to the one on the end of the row and Y/N went in. She stopped just inside the door, looking back at Dean.
“Are you going to let go of the chain?”
“No.”
She frowned and waved her hand at the wooden door. “I can’t close the door if the chain is in the way.”
Dean just shrugged in answer.
Y/N’s face was imploring. “Come on.”
Dean said nothing.
Y/N gritted her teeth. “Well could you at least look the other way?”
“No.”
Y/N rolled her eyes and let out a little growl of frustration. “For pete’s sake, I am in chains, and you’re holding on to them! Where the hell am I gonna go if you look away for a minute?”
Dean stared at her a moment longer before finally, begrudgingly, turning his head.
“Thanks.” Y/N mumbled, trying to pull the door over as far as it would go with the chain stopping it.
When she was finished, she came out with pink cheeks. There was no way both men hadn’t heard her peeing. There were definitely some real indignities involved in people thinking you were a monster.
When they got back to the cabin, Dean was locking Y/N back up to the table, crouched down beside her, when her stomach rumbled from hunger. He ignored it, double checking her manacles before walking out and leaving Johnston watching over her with his rifle.
A few minutes later though, a young girl, probably no more than thirteen, came in with a bowl of oatmeal and some canned oranges. She also had a cold glass of water on the tray and Y/N groaned out loud. She hadn’t realized how thirsty she was until she saw it there. Her groan seemed to startle the girl who was approaching Y/N with considerable trepidation.
Y/N tried smiling again, knowing there was nothing she could do to change her bloodshot eyes, but hoping she could still show kindness in them.
“Hi.” She said softly. “My name is Y/N, what’s yours?”
“Theresa.” The girl said, as she came a little closer. “Boss told mom to make you some breakfast and she sent me to bring it.”
Y/N nodded. “Thank you so much. It smells delicious. Tell your mother I said thank you as well.”
Theresa nodded back and finally came up beside her to set the tray within reach on the floor. Then she scuttled away quickly and Y/N tucked into the food. The oatmeal was slightly stale and plain with nothing to go in it, but it was warm and filling and the oranges were sweet and juicy despite their slightly tinny taste. It was the best meal she’d had in well over a week and she was grateful to Dean, the man who didn’t care about anyone, for providing it for her.
She hoped Emma was eating well this morning too, and that she was somehow coping with everything. She closed her eyes and tried to send her daughter strength.
The next few days passed much in the same way. Dean would watch her every night, assuring her that he was watching for any signs she was turning. But a couple days in, she woke up in the night to see his head slumped onto his chest, exhaustion finally winning out over any remaining fears he had of her changing.
On her fifth morning, Dean was locking her back up to the table after a visit to the latrines (during which he now allowed her to take the chain in with her and shut the door), when he swore and grabbed onto her right hand. He pushed the manacle up further on her arm and examined her wrist where it had been rubbed raw on the underside.
“What the fuck? Why didn’t you tell me you were hurt?”
Y/N shrugged. “Didn’t hurt that much, and I figured you wouldn’t care, you know, if you were still figuring on shooting me.” She said with a teasing smile.
Dean gave her his usual dirty look. “Yeah well, I wouldn’t want you to die of sepsis before I get the chance.”
He called to Patrick whose turn it was to guard the cabin for that morning. When the red-headed man stepped inside, Dean told him to bring a first aid kit from the medical tent. When Patrick left, Dean pulled another key from inside his jacket and unlocked the manacle on Y/N’s right hand.
Her arm felt strange without the extra weight of the manacle and chain. Dean checked her other wrist, satisfied that she only had the one wound. When Patrick returned with the first aid kit, Dean began cleaning the raw spot on Y/N’s grubby skin.
As he worked, Theresa came in with Y/N’s breakfast. She pulled up short when she saw Dean there, since he was usually gone by the time she came in. Y/N tried to encourage her forward.
“Thank you, Theresa. Don’t worry, your boss is just fixing up a scratch on my wrist. You can still bring breakfast over.”
The girl hesitated before moving over to Y/N and setting the tray on the floor. “Have you seen Emma today?” Y/N asked.
Most of the time, she tried desperately not to think about what her daughter was going through. If she were to dwell on it too long it would drive her mad. As it was, the nightmare of watching Emma float away from her, was coming two or three times a night now.
The girl looked afraid to answer with Dean there and kept glancing over at him, clearly nervous. “It’s okay.” Y/N reassured her again. “Please, how is she?” Y/N asked, aware that desperation laced her voice.
Theresa looked up at Y/N, her big brown eyes far too wise for a thirteen year old girl.
“Sad.” She said simply before standing and scurrying out of the room.
Y/N felt like a knife was twisting in her gut. She closed her eyes and tried to stop her tears from falling, but simply couldn’t. Two fat tears fell down her cheeks as she stared into her lap. Without saying anything, Dean tied a bandage around her injured wrist before tying more gauze around her uninjured left wrist, protecting it from the rough metal.
He cleaned up the first aid kit and left without a word. It was a few minutes before Y/N realized he hadn’t re-manacled her right wrist.
All that day it felt as though a heavy stone sat in her stomach. She barely touched her breakfast (an egg and some sliced fried potatoes) and didn’t have a bite of lunch. She felt terrible wasting the food and insisted Patrick eat it. It tasted like ash to her and she simply couldn’t swallow. All she could think about was Emma and how she was hurting.
Her ability to compartmentalize her pain and fear was breaking down as worry and heartbreak took over everything.
That evening, Dean showed up earlier than usual. He walked right up to her and, kneeling beside her, unlocked her other manacle so that she was free of the chains at last. She gave him a quizzical look.
“What are you doing?”
Dean shrugged. “It’s been nearly a week that you’ve been here and almost two weeks since you got bit.” His usual scowl was highlighted by confusion in his green gaze. “I don’t know what the hell is going on here, but it seems increasingly unlikely that you’re gonna start foaming at the mouth any time soon, so…”
He stood up and moved away, nodding to someone outside. Risa stepped through the door and behind her, holding her hand, was Emma.
Y/N gave out a loud cry of surprise, too many emotions flooding her at once to articulate any actual words. She tried to leap to her feet, but ended up stumbling back to her knees as Emma launched herself at her.
“Mommy!” Emma’s tears and sobs soon choked anymore words out of her as well.
Y/N wrapped her daughter up tightly in her arms. “Oh, baby, baby!” She buried her face in her daughter's long hair, squeezing her too hard, she knew, but she couldn’t help it. She’d been so terrified she’d never get a chance to hold her again, so she savored the moment briefly before turning her head to where Dean was standing by the door.
Her throat was choked, but she pushed the words out. “Thank you. Thank you.” It was all she could say.
Dean didn’t respond and just walked out the door.
