Is there life after A-Levels?

As it turns out there actually is life after A-Levels... who would have thought? Deffently not me that's for sure but now I'm here and I can’t believe it’s all over… for the past years I wanted so desperately to finish high school and now that it’s finally over I’m sad and I don’t know what to do with my life but that’s actually a story for another time.

My last post feels like a million years ago, I was in such a different, a very desperate state of mind if I might say and now…it seams all so surreal, anyhow my point is I have so so soooooo much to talk about because well it has been so incredibly long since we last talked and there is a lot and I mean a LOT to talk about! I don’t even know how to structure the whole thing maybe I will do more posts I think that’s the key to solve it because as you know I always tend to write novels and if I did that before now it’s going to be even worse, so let’s get started and I will give my best to keep it as short as possible!

I believe I’m going to start with the book reviews because sadly it’s the shortest category because well again as I said before A-Levels…

Ahhhhh I want to start with the most recent read, the series that left me with a huge book hangover, one of those book hangovers I hadn’t had in a really really long time…. I’m talking about the ” The summer I turned pretty” series and OH MY GOOD GOD it was so incredibly good, it gave me all the happy feels!!! It was like a big hug, like sitting on a cloud with a big blanket, I loved it so much it was everything I needed!!! And I am so incredibly excited about the Amazon Prime adaptation I mean yeah of course a lot can go wrong but still! I loved it, it was my happy place after writing the A-Levels, my recovery and boy it was a good recovery!!! Sure it was childish and cringy but that’s what I loved about it, I may grow up but I’m always in the first row for books like this!!! And weirdly enough I could relate to the book from the first sentence, with the ”I measure my life in summers” because my whole life I did that to and the summer vibes, the beach ahhh….! I just loved it so much, I loved Susannah I was so sad when she died and my God choosing between Conrad and Jeremiah…. For me it was almost like choosing between Will and Jem all over again (if you know you know!) but I was Team Conrad from the start it was so obvious that they were endgame, they were just meant for each other and don’t get me wrong I’m always in for the moody bad boy but I think deep down I loved Jeremiah a tiny bit more (I still shipped her with Conrad more the whole time!!!! I’m just talking about my preference hehe) I prefere the goofy humorous ones haha! That doesn’t mean that he didn’t freak me out in the beginning of the third book he really really disappointed me then, the third book as a whole kind of ruined him but I still love him! The ending before the epilogue…I cried I cried so much I felt so sorry for him but then again I was happy because trough the whole last book I was scared that she will choose him and not Conrad it was a huge mess of all the feels!!! Ah else and Susannah letters???? I was sobbing! I also loved that we got his point of view in the second book and Conrad’s in the third I really enjoyed seeing their thoughts and what actually lay behind their actions. Oh oh but Belly freaked me out sometimes too, the things she said and how she treated Taylor…girl please chill she was a little harsh sometimes! I had a great time reading the series, it had everything I loved the setting, the vibes, the story, the tension... everything, even though to be honest I missed the in-between scenes a little especially at the end between the end of the last chapter and the epilogue, I mean I have waited so incredibly long to see them together and I get almost nothing at the end??? The ending felt s little rushed, I wanted more but then on the other hand it was good as it was! And I also felt that some things kind of remind unexplained like why did Conrad push her away all the time, I mean yeah his mum died but why did he break up with her why was he acting like that? And how did he and Jere make up? And I would have loved to see Cam again! All in all, it was perfect and as I said I couldn’t move on for quite some time after finishing it, so I am even more excited about the show! I already love the casting, especially for Jere and the trailer was very promising!!!

Ok I know I said I will do all the books first but I have to mention this song here because it’s the song I associate (and always will) with this series… I’m talking about Joshua Bassett’s ”Doppelgänger”, it made me cry and the music video is so soooo good and I’m loving his music lately so much! I love Olivia’s album like it was just wow but I also loved to see his point of view on the whole story, what he had to go through and what he felt, there are always two persons in a relationship. I mean come on ”Crisis” and ”Secret”? I love those songs so much!!!

Alright alright going back to books, I read another amazing book, from my nr.1 author, Kirstin Gier, the one who wrote ”Rubyred” aka the woman whose books got me into reading! It’s the first book in a trilogy (the other books are not out yet) and ahhh it basically took me back to my childhood! I adored it and I’m so excited for the second and third book, she never disappoints me, the woman knows where to hit me really! Unfortunately, I don’t think it's translated to English yet but in German, it’s called ”Vergissmeinnicht”, absolutely stunning!!! I’m not going to go into details on this because a lot of you probably won’t know what I’m talking about so I won’t bore you with it just know that it's amazing!!!!

Oh good, Lord…I also read ”Normal people” and ”Conversation with friends” and huh that was quite an experience if I might say! I know a lot of people love those books and I'm sorry to say this but I didn’t quite like them. I am glad I read them but I didn’t enjoy them if that makes sense, because they made me sad and they gave me anxiety. They made me hate ‘normal/ mundane life’ and relationships! I liked ”Conversation with friends” more than ”Normal people”, I could relate to Frances, the overthinking, the no real personality and the thing about ”things matter to me more than they o to other people”. I loved the writing and the stories were so smart, the morals are good and I respect Sally Rooney and bless her ”Beautiful world, where are you” is on my reading list but still they made me uncomfortable! I didn't get to watch the TV adaptation of "Normal people" yet but I am interested in watching it, as I really like the actress who plays Mariane and I believe the trailer for "Conversation with friends" is also out, I would like to look into that adaptation too.

It makes me sad to admit it but that’s everything I read… oh oh except for ”Macbeth” I also read that and I liked it but other than that that’s it! I started a few other books but I didn’t get to finish them just yet but stay tuned! Now that I have more free time I’m going back to reading and the goal is defiantly reading more classics!!!

The next category is music!!! First things first my husband Harry Styles has a new album coming out this month???!!!! OMG, I'm soooo excited I can’t even put it into words!!! ”As it was” just WOW ... just WOW, at first I was like ”It’s ok it’s not my favourite song of his” but I fell in love with it slowly but surely and the album will be brilliant I’m sure and I can’t wait!

Oh oh oh I know it’s not music related but it’s Harry Styles related so I have to but it here so…the trailer for ”Don’t worry darling” is out and OMG OMG I am sooooooooo excited for that movie!!!! I mean ador Horold that’s not a secret, I adore the 60’s and I absolutely love Florence Pugh and the trailer is soooo good I can’t wait!!!!!

Ok back to music, my new obsession, Tate McRae, my God she is the only one I listen to lately she is constantly on repeat and apparently this month is my lucky month because her album is coming out this month too and I am so hyped! I love her, she is so incredibly talented and the lyrics she writes oh my God it get’s me so hard!!! I watched her song writing videos on YouTube and wow it just amazes me how talented she is and seeing her evolve like that just blows my mind! Of course I love the ultimate classic ”You broke me first” and ”She’s all I ever wanna be” but also ”Feel like shit”, ”All my friends are fake”, ”Stupid”, ”One day” I could actually name very song because I love them all!!!

We can’t leave the music category without talking about ”All too well” I don’t think there is much to say about it, it's kind of self-explanatory, it’s a masterpiece! OH and also because we are speaking about Taylor I also had an intense ”I know you were trouble” phase before my Tate and Joshua phase.

And that would be it for music I think we are doing good so far with the overwriting but I think now that we go into the longest category, Movies and TV shows it’s going to get harder, let’s get started!

First things first because it’s the most recent watch ”Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” just WOW ! I’m not going to spoil anything, I'm going to leave it by the WOW. I have to and one more thing though, the title is more than fitting it truly is the multiverse of madness and I also I love the idea behind the multiverse with the dreams! I am a nerd when it comes to dreams and how to explain them and what they said in this movie about it might be by far my favourite theory! It fulfilled my high expectations, it was amazing! Go and watch it!

I’m not going to go into the details here because I am speechless about this topic, I'm just confused and I have no idea what’s going on with that show anymore but I keep watching because well I already invested so much in it and I used to really enjoy it. I guess I keep watching for old time's sake and because I’m curious about how wider it can get, when you think it can’t get any wider it does! If you haven’t guessed it already I’m talking about ”Riverdale”, the only thing I want to say about it because I can’t leave it unsaid is, that my heart will always root for Jughead and Betty, it breaks my heart to see them like this, they are like strangers now… I will forever moan their love, their story it’s the saddest thing ever... to see them like this just no! I don’t like Archie and I will never ship him with Betty period. I like Tabitha but again Betty and Jughead are and will always be my favourite ship from that show! (And what is the thing with the superpowers from the explosion??? Just no!)

Ok remaining with the Tv shows, currently, my favourite Tv show, my happy place, ”Modern family”! I love it so much it is just my kind of humour and it always puts me in a good mood! It is defiantly up there in my top Tv shows ever!

Oh I also really really enjoyed that italian show on Netflix about astrology, ”An astrological guide for broken hearts”, I am always in for astrology I am very interested in that and I really liked this show! To be honest I would have wanted more even though it ended well because I really liked it!

I also watched the last season of ”Money Heist” and I’m happy with that ending, I am incredibly sad about Tokio, as I probably mentioned in my last post, I don’t remember if I talked about it there or not but my point is it really upset me even though I wasn’t her biggest fan. I am happy with how they rapped it up even though it wasn’t the strongest season, this sounds very negative, I don’t mean it to come of that way because I really loved it but it’s been a minute since I watched it and I didn’t take notes,I watched it all in one sitting the night it came out hehe! Anyhow great great show and I am happy with how they wrapped things up, I highly recommend it it is incredibly smart and I love it!

Should I or should I not talk about ”Emily in Paris”? I wanted soooo bad to make an outfit review post again like I did for season one but I didn't have time after I watched it when it came out and I think now it’s too late for it, everyone moved on, no one cares anymore! Ok but I have to at least mention my top three favourite outfits: 3rd place the purple party dress from her birthday party, 2nd place the stunning red tulle dress from the last episode and lastly, 1st place is the white dress with the red hearts, it gives me 60’s vibes and I love it! As for the plot itself, I liked it better than season one and I enjoyed it, I am excited about season 3! And I have to put this out there I am Team Alfie I mean Gabriel needs to finally decide and have the guts to stand by his decision, he has to stop fussing around! And Alfie is British so of course, I’m on his side even though I am well aware that it's not going to happen, Emily and Gabriel will eventually end up together! Oh but I am very excited about the fact that Emily might stay In Paris permanently because come on she is so going to accept the job offer from Sylvie, I love Sylvie by the way did I ever mention it, she has the best personality! Ohhh but I don’t like Emily's boss from America what’s her name again Madeline I believe, she is annoying and I want her to go away! All in all, I enjoyed this season and I am looking forward to the next one and of course, the fashion was again very interesting and there were a lot of outfits that I really liked!

Movieeeess OMG I finally watched ”Charlie’s Angels”, you know the new one and wow I had the best time it was sooo sooo good!!!! As a child I wanted to become a spy because of that cartoon ”Totally Spies” and this movie took me right back there, it was really really good I truly loved it and the soundtrack was so good and ah the casting just everything!!!! I loved Kristin Stewart so much in this movie!!!

I also rewatched ”Love Rosie” the good old good feels classic, I love the story, I love Lilly Collins and I love Sam Claflin but I mentioned all of this enough before so there is no surprise here, I just had to mention it again because I love it so much and it wouldn’t have felt right not to say it again.

Oh I also watched ”Songbird” you know that movie with Sofia Carson and Archie from Riverdale about Corona? I liked it in theory but it kind of creeped me out because when did they have the time to make such a realistic corona movie??? I mean when did it come out? Shortly after the pandemic started, when did they have the time to film and produce it so quickly, did they know what was about to happen? Is it a prediction? We will see, but it was interesting to see such a movie and I loved that Sofia was in it, she did a great job, like always!

We almost made it there only three more movies I want to talk about, even though I watched way more movies, but they weren’t anything special or worth mentioning here just some Netflix originals (except for ”Along the ride”, I watched it yesterday and I really liked it!). The last three movies are Disney movies, I watched ”Cruella” and I really really loved it I loved to see her from this point of view and it was fashion themed and I’m always in for that! I really enjoyed it and Emma Stone was just perfect, as always!

I also watched ”Cinderella” the one from 2015 with Lily James and I liked it, coming from me that is a huge compliment because I don’t like Cinderella, like at all but I love Lily James so maybe that’s why I had a good time watching it! And last we have ”Beauty and the Beast” the one with Emma Waston, also a nice watch it was cute, not bad but also not great!

And with that, we made it to the end, as it appears I managed to put everything in one post without making it too long. Let's Talk About: Fantasy High Junior Year and Stress Tested

Brennan Lee Mulligan is an evil son of a genius.

I have been waiting for this episode forever--like, a whole week--and it did not disappoint. Starting with a return to assembly. Confirming the conspiracy that the Rat Grinders were setting them up.

Side note: I really do think the Rat Grinders are working for something or someone who is (or who are) also meddling with Interim Emergency Back-Up Principal Grix.

The mandatory drug testing at school that IMMEDIATELY netted the kid who called out Aguefort Academy becoming a police state in freshman year was a deliberate choice that I feel like Brennan, knowing how easily distracted his Intrepid Heroes can be, planted for the viewers to pick up on. And unleashing this after a "speech" from Agent Clark that ended with an extra distracting "until doppelgangers burn your nest!"? Yeah, I smell Brennanigans.

Quick break: I just want to say that Murph plays Riz's paranoia so well. Ally's quick moves to shenanigans is on another level. And Zac immediately taking a stress token for Gorgug feels extremely correct. That said, I feel like there should be a mechanic where Gorgug gets stressed so much that he channels the tokens into a rage that impresses Porter.

Also: the rolling graphics on the left side of the screen, for the tracks that our intrepid heroes are rolling for, look so cool. The stress levels on the right look great too, but they are stressing me out.

Now; I am really liking Yolanda Badgood, the cleric professor. I am not liking, however, the fact that Brennan is making her so likeable. And so friendly. And so helpful. Because I am now fearing for her life.

Emily's bits about Fig not knowing where to go rings differently for me, having seen the pre-season interview where she admitted that she wanted to play a new character. That she wanted to keep the happy ending Fig already got in Sophomore Year. I have to confess: I also actually really like this new aimless track for Fig, and it's showing in Emily's gameplay how she is also realizing new things about her character as Brennan showers her with more choices to make.

The one bad thing about the downtime episode, in my opinion, is that the time we spend with each character feels so little. Especially with how much time is passing in game time. I wanted to see more of Adaine's relationship with her sister, and maybe see a friendship blossom with Oishyn. But Siobhan is, rightfully, concerned about Adaine's finances so she has to prioritize her job and her academics. I needed Gorgug and Riz to get more updates about Frosty Fair before it happened--but, obviously, the had personal stuff they needed to deal with first…and Frosty Fair is already happening next episode--

Honestly: Brennan did a wonderful job with the down times for everyone. And every member of the Intrepid Heroes utilized their down time well.

I just wanted more because I'm very greedy and I love these characters to bits.

Speaking of bits:

With two Nat20s in a row, I would say that Gorgug really is the greatest wizard of our time.

"Get your best pair of Badidas and we'll see what that body does" is an s-tier Brennan-liner.

Riz using the celestial spy stuff he got from his dad is AMAZING.

And Brennan is enjoying handing out the stress tokens too much. Zacky even points it out.

Can't wait for next week!

Okay, so, if I could mod, which I can't for multitude of reasons (mainly "my computer is dying" and "I has the dumb"... Also "I cannot art") I would make a horror mod SO FAST-

"Lea SDV is supposed to be cosy, not scary" first of all *points at all the yandere mods*, second of all SCARY IS COSY TO ME-

*coughs* Anyway-

So, the framework would be as follows: On a random night in Fall (ideally a rainy night but idk if that's doable), your spouse would have a nightmare. You would then become the hero of said nightmare and solve whatever horror scenario is happening. With it being just a nightmare it wouldn't permanently alter your game so I COULD KILL WHOEVER AND DESTROY WHATEVER I WANT YAY!

It would work like a festival I suppose? No time actually passes? IDK if that makes sense but it does to me.

You would probably get hearts from this assuming you're not at 14 Hearts with them already even though you technically didn't actually do anything lmao. ✌️

-Penny: The children are being replaced during the night by doppelgangers. Wrong, unsettling doppelgangers. You and Penny investigate why, taking you into the sewers (IT WON'T BE KROBUS BEHIND IT, I PROMISE, I WOULDN'T DO THAT TO KROBIE 😭)

-Shane: SO, things are being destroyed in the night, sometimes animals turn up dead, town's getting freaked out, you're tasked with investigating because sorry you're the main character lmao. Turns out Shane's therapist is hypnotizing Shane and he's getting programmed to go do these things during the night YAY! Poor guy.

-Sebastian: Here, have this, we all know you want it! *tosses vampire Sebastian at you*. (I'm not particularly fond of Sebastian, in all honesty, but I'm sure vampire Sebastian would make his fans V Happy lmao. Yes, you'd get to let him drink from you, you freaks. /aff)

-Leah: ...Kel's a slasher now? (Sorry, I don't particularly care for Leah either, but hey. I assume you guys enjoyed punching Kel. You'll probably enjoy killing Kel in a brutal battle of self defense right?)

-Elliott: Ya'll seen Creepshow? (*Everyone starts groaning because I haven't shut up about Creepshow since the green rain*) Okay, there's a story where Leslie Neilsen (Naked Gun, Airplane, THAT Leslie Neilsen) drowns a couple in the ocean and their corpses break into his home to get revenge. It's that except Elliott didn't kill them. Because nightmare, you and Elliott are back in his cabin on the beach, bodies are coming out of the water, and quickly becoming yours and Willy's problem. (No Willy didn't kill them either. Probably.)

-Alex: He's on a gridball team, Coach is having him take some experimental drug so he plays gridball better, something something Werewolf. Let him and Dusty run around together lmao. Except oh no he accidentally spooks the town! :(

i love the fnaf book trilogy more dearly than anyone but i just WISH we couldve seen john mourn

charlie, a girl he's loved for years and years, "dying" in front of him. watching her scream and just disappear. finding her again after MONTHS of dealing with her doppelganger only to find out that she isnt real. he never knew her when she was alive. all john knew was the experimental animatronic built from her father's greiving. charlie, the *real* charlie, couldve been anyone. she mightve grown to be someone john despised, or maybe she wouldve been exactly the same. but a human being instead of a machine.

he'll never know. but its a thing that keeps him awake at night, wondering who he couldve loved if only her brother had died. if only freddys had never existed in the first place. but he thinks: would i ever had met her if freddys wasnt opened? he just thinks and thinks and thinks about the endless amount of possibilities, the "what if"s and the alternate timelines until he loses his mind

i like to imagine he searches for sam and mrs emily. for some kind of weird closure, he'd find their home but keep his distance. maybe talking once or twice in a public setting, nothing but small talk. a mother who'd recovered from her ex husband's insanity and a boy, the same age as him, who never really knew he had a sister.

john would meet them once, talk just *once* and he'd return home. he'd gathered everything that was left of charlie- his charlie. her body, her blood, the doll sitting inside her.

all of her abandoned projects, all of the photos, the clothes.

he'd seen her die twice. he was traumatized, afraid of every shadow that moved near her lifeless body he'd been keeping in a guest room.

he lost himself. he'd sort through her items, too afraid of losing even the smallest piece of her. he wept while looking at pictures of her as a toddler, wondering if the pictures were of her or the charlie he knew.

john was driving himself crazy.

It is interesting that modern Bennetts are presented as being so dedicated to keeping the balance of Nature, yet every time, they do something insane that shapes the entire supernatural world and disrupts everything.

They are out here messing with the rules of life and death and space and dimensions and worlds with those dimensions.

Emily designed the "Gilbert" rings as tools for resurrection. Another witch turned humans into supernatural beings by making them Hunters and also designed the daggers to put down an Original. Bonnie summoned her ancestors from the Peace realm (no one ever did that) through her psychic abilities. She could also interact in the realm of Limbo. Then we have the prison worlds that need Bennett blood.

Qetsiyah with the other side and immortality spell. She disrupted the original path for supernatural beings after death by creating an alternative Purgatory. Which, in turn, also opened the doors for the Schism between the travelers and the witches as we know them to happen. That inadvertently led to the surge of different types of magic branches to be explored by the witches coming after Qetsiyah. Cause the way the show introduced it, only pure magic was used. With the other side, we got spirit magic.

If the writers had the balls to expand on Qetsiyah and give her the whole Markos/Travellers curse storyline to her family unit, then tied it wit her descendants aka the Bennetts, I’d be so down for that. We could have gotten the Bennett lore of how things came to be with magic, the rules of nature and more.

Because the show keeps harping on this whole concept around “keeping balance of Nature”, and it’s just (often biased) dead witches regulating how a living witch should use their magic and even punish them if they don’t follow their rules. It's an interesting concept to show how flawed it actually was coming from the witches’s perspective, because ya’ll didn’t have to do all that.

Because there is also the enigma Nature that existed since the beginning of time and where magic comes from. It is this unbiased and unconscious entity keeping things in check and operating smoothly in a way. It course corrects even with all the vampires, werewolves, immortals, etc. in the mix that were created by these same witches. I honestly think that given time, these creatures and existences would just be seen as ‘normal’ to nature and part of the whole supernatural cycle. I mean, look at the Immortals. The only side effect Nature had was the birth of the doppelgangers popping up to balance immortals ‘dying’ in a sense, and it was done an over with.

Also, with this plot it could have been a perfect chance to showcase the infighting that still happened between witches or even the Bennetts and introduce more distant family members for Bonnie who did or didn’t follow the rules. It was already established that Bonnie’s family comes from the Travellers so why introduce the Parkers / Markos for that? Heck, they could’ve even made Markos Qetsiyah’s brother… since they had plans to introduce her family unit, but didn’t and we got another cycle of Stelena and the love triangle.

At this point, does Bonnie’s line serve nature, or have they conquered it in such a way with their feats that it bends to their whims?

I'm almost certain Adrien thinks Emilie's coffin is in the bench the Emilie statue in the backyard is sitting on, and the relevant civil authorities also think this, having granted Gabriel special permission to bury her on his own property

not clear on how else Gabriel would have avoided being asked a number of questions I'm just about positive no one asked, such as "why did her corpse vanish from the morgue" or "who robbed her grave" or "who confirmed her death"

none of this actually rules out magical coma, mind, and I suppose a doppelganger of some description might be in a proper cemetery while the backyard Emilie statue is just a memorial, but the bench looks like a big enough concrete block to contain a coffin, and we know they held her funeral

Super Secret Supplemental - SHIELD

S.H.I.E.L.D (or the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division) was an international peacekeeping, law enforcement, and counter-terrorism agency sanctioned by the United Nations. They were led by a director who reports to the World Security Council and the agency was composed of members from various nations. SHIELD was founded to combat technologically advanced threats on world security (specifically the menace of Hydra); and they remained throughout the years on the front lines, fighting terrorism, supernatural threats and extraterrestrial menaces as an international intelligence agency.

Following the Secret Empire event, SHIELD was formerly dissolved. Some elements of the organization remain operational, overseeing ‘black site’ prisons and handling the transition of its duties to other intelligence agencies.

Many individuals have served as agents and operatives for SHIELD over the years. Some of the more notable agents include the following:

Colonel Nicholas Fury Sr. was one of the organization’s earliest recruits and he quickly matriculated to the role of director. The character is portrayed by actor Samuel L. Jackson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe; Nick Fury’s first appearance was in the pages of Sgt. Fury #1 (1963).

Commander Timothy Dum Dum Duggan had been Fury’s colleague among the Howling Commandos during the Second World War. He joined SHIELD and would go on to be Fury’s right-hand man, rising to the rank of director for a time. Duggan additionally headed up SHIELD’s Godzilla division as well as its monster-oriented new Howling Commandos. Actor Neal McDonough portrayed the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Duggan first appeared in the pages of Sgt. Fury #1 (1963).

Agent Maria Hill became the director of SHIELD following Fury’s ouster and served in the position during the first Superhero Civil War. Hill stayed on as second in command during the time that Tony Stark acted as director. Her hawkish attitudes and supreme distrust toward super powered individuals ultimately led to her being dishonorably discharged from the organization. Maria Hill features in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, portrayed by actress Cobie Smulders. The character first appeared in New Avengers Vol. 1 #4 (2005).

Natalia Romanova, also known as The Black Widow, joined SHIELD following her defection from the former Soviet Union. She has served on and off with the organization throughout her career as an Avenger and solo super hero. Actress Scarlet Johansson portrays the Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The heroine first appeared in the pages of Tales of Suspense #52 (1964).

Sharon Carter, Agent 13, is the niece of Peggy Carter who fought the Axis Forces alongside Captain America in the Second World War. Agent 13 would go on to have many abetters alongside Captain America and the two became lovers. She was believed killed in action but later returned and resumed both her position as an agent of SHIELD as well as her romance with Cap. Actress Emily VanCamp portrays Sharon Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Agent 13 first appeared in the pages of Tales of Suspense #75 (1965)

Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, maintained a partnership with SHIELD throughout many of his adventures in the modern era. He was offered the directorship over the organization in the wake of the Dark Reign storyline. An evil doppelganger of Rogers would go on to take over SHIELD, using it to forward the agenda of Hydra. Although the doppelganger was ultimately defeated, the ordeal resulted in the official dissolution of the organization. Actor Chris Evans portrays Cap in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The hero first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (1941).

The Inhuman heroine, Daisy Johnson, was sought out by Nick Fury during a time in which he was conducting covert affairs for SHIELD. Fury placed Daisy in charge of an unsanctioned operation to topple a regime in Latveria. Having gained Fury’s trust, young Daisy was offered level 10 clearance at SHIELD, effectively making her Fury’s second in charge. Following Fury’s ouster, Daisy briefly served as the organizations director before Maria Hill’s political maneuvering forced her out. Actress Chloe Bennet portrays Daisy Johnson in the television series Marvel’s Agents of Shield. The young heroine first appeared in Secret War #2 (2004).

Agent Melinda May earned a reputation as one of SHIELD’s most effective field operatives. Her quick thinking and highly proficient combat skills helped her save the day on many occasions, earning her the nickname ‘The Calvary.’ May was chosen by section commander, Phil Coulson, to lead a team to take down a terrorist cell that had obtained the mystical Uru sword. Following the dissolution of SHIELD, May has gone on to become an agent for The FBI. Actress Ming-Na Wen portrayed Agent May in the television series Marvel’s Agents of Shield. The heroine first comic book appearance was in Agents of SHIELD Vol. 3 #1 (2014).

Agent Gabe Jones served as a member of the Howling Commandos during World War II. Following the war, Fury recruited Jones to become an agent of SHIELD. Jones became a top operative and was a crucial part to bringing down the nefarious organization known as The Secret Empire. He would later be a part of the SHIELD task force to contain the monster Godzilla. Jones featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe portrayed by actor Derek Luke. The hero first appeared in the pages of Sgt. Fury #1 (1963).

Having graduated top of his class at the SHIELD training program, Agent Jasper Sitwell earned a position as Director Fury’s chief assistant and secretary. In this role, Sitwell (then known as Agent 22) periodically stood in as temporary director during times in which Fury was on assignment or otherwise unavailable. Sitwell later acted as the official liaison between SHIELD and Stark Industries, which led to many adventures involving Iron Man and the hero’s many foes. A decidedly less heroic version of Jasper Sitwell featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, portrayed by actor Maximiliano Hernández. The agent first appeared in the pages of Strange Tales #144 (1966).

Agent Victoria Hand had been an accountant at SHIELD who voiced significantly hawkish views on how the organization should be run. Her notions caught the attention of Norman Osborn who had been made director of SHIELD following the Secret Invasion event. Osborn promoted Hand as his chief lieutenant and she essentially acted as director in that Osborn was often preoccupied with his various diabolical schemes. Hand remained with the organization following Osborn’s ouster and the new director, Tony Stark, assigned her as the official liaison to the Avengers. She was later killed in action. Actress Saffron Burrows portrayed Hand in the television series Marvel’s Agents of Shield. The agent first appeared in the pages of Invincible Iron Man Vol. 2 #8 (2008).

The enigmatic Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine joined SHIELD because she was bored by her life of privilege and luxury. Her keen tactical mind and fierce combat skills helped her rise through the ranks and she soon became a top agent. She also became romantically involved with Nick Fury, ultimately leading her to be transferred to the European branch to avoid the appearance that Fury was showing favoritism. The Contessa would briefly act as director of SHIELD yet was secretly involved with a villainous cabal known as Leviathan. Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus portrays the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Contessa first appeared in the pages of Strange Tales #159 (1967).

Alphonso ‘Mac’ Mackenzie had acted as a liaison between SHIELD and the CIA before formerly becoming an agent of SHIELD. He quickly became a top agent, frequently working alongside fellow agents Jasper Sitwell and Jimmy Woo. Something of a luddite, Mac was highly distrustful of SHIELD’s increasing reliance on advanced technology. His suspicions in this regard proved crucial in preventing the organization from being taken over by The Deltite Corporation, thwarting the plan to replace all top agents with Life Model Decoy androids. A version of Mackenzie featured in the television series Marvel’s Agents of Shield, portrayed by actor Henry Simmons. The agent first appeared in the pages of Nick Fury vs. S.H.I.E.L.D. #3 (1988)

Agent Sidney Levine, often known as The Gaffer, had been a fighter pilot during World War II. Following the war he became involved in creating special effects for Hollywood. He ingenuity for gadgetry resulted in his being recruited into SHIELD. Working in conjunction with technicians from Stark Industries, The Gaffer was responsible for many of the organizations most ingenious weapons and devices. The agent first appeared in Strange Tales #159 (1967).

Phillip Coulson served as an Army Ranger stationed in Afghanistan. During his service he became close friends with fellow Ranger, Marcus Johnson. After Johnson learned he was the son of Nick Fury he ended up recruited into SHIELD and Coulson signed up alongside him. Coulson would go on to become a top operative and oversaw his own squad of agents. Coulson was later apparently killed by Deadpool in the opening salvos of The Secret Empire Event. Yet it turned out that Coulson was resurrected by the villainous of Mephisto who then used Coulson as a pawn in the creation of the government-sanctioned super-team, the Squadron Supreme of America. Actor Clarke Gregg portrayed Coulson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His first comic book appearance was in the pages of Battle Scars #1 (2011).

Marcus Johnson, born Nicholas Fury Jr., grew up unaware that he was the son of Nick Fury and that he had inherited the ‘infinity formula’ from his father. This led him to being targeted by the villainous Orion who sought to extract the formula from him so to save his own life. He was saved and ended up following in father’s footsteps, joining SHIELD. Nick Fury Jr first appeared in Battle Scars #1 (2011).

Agent Jimmy Woo worked for the FBI leading a task force hunting down the international crime lord known as The Golden Claw. He was later recruited into SHIELD and aided the organization in finally taking the Claw down. He remained with SHIELD participating in many missions and acting as part of SHIELD’s Godzilla Unit. Years later, The Golden Claw resurfaced and Woo would go on to take over the Claw’s organization, reforming it into the Atlas Foundation and a force for good. Actor Randell Park portrays Jimmy Woo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The agent’s first comic book appearance was in the pages of Yellow Claw #1 (1956).

A former captain in the United States Air Force, Clay Quartermain was recruited into the ranks of SHIELD during its battle against the forces of The Golden Claw. He continued on with the organization and embarked on numerous missions. His garrulousness and boastful nature rubbed some of his fellow agents the wrong way, but he proved himself highly capable and was put in charge of SHIELD’s Hulk-Busters unit. He was later apparently killed while investigating the mystery of the Red Hulk. Clay Quartermain first appeared in the pages of Strange Tales #163 (1967).

Agent Barbara ‘Bobbi’ Morse, also known as Agent 19, served as a field agent and scientist for SHIELD, sharing numerous adventures alongside Ka-Zar of the Savage Land. Fearing that her work with SHIELD could endanger her family, Morse faked her death and began operating as the costumed hero Mockingbird. Not long thereafter, she became a frequent ally of Hawkeye. The two fell in love and eventually married and together they formed the West Coast branch of The Avengers. Actress Adrianne Palicki portrayed Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird in the television series Marvel’s Agents of Shield; whereas actress Linda Cardellini has played Hawkeye’s wife and former SHIELD Agent 19 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The heroine first appeared in the pages of Astonishing Tales Vol. 1 #6 (1971).

Junior agent Roz Solomon served as a member of SHIELD in the organization’s environmental sciences division. A staunch environmentalist, Solomon investigated an illegal oceanic drilling practice conducted by the Roxxan Oil Corporation and ended up sharing an adventure with the Mighty Thor. Following the dissuasion of SHIELD, Solomon accepted an offer by King T’Challa to become a part of his Agents of Wakanda program. The intrepid young agent first appeared in the pages of Thor: God of Thunder #12 (2013).

Commodore Lance Hunter was born in Kent, England and served in the Royal Navy before becoming a top operative for MI-6. He was later put in charge of the organization, S.T.R.I.K.E. (or the Special Tactical Reserve for International Key Emergencies) which acted as a sister agency to SHIELD in the United Kingdom. Hunter would go on to have numerous adventures alongside Nick Fury, Captain Britain and Captain America. During his missions in conjunction with SHIELD, Hunter sparked up a romance with SHIELD agent, Bobbi Morse. The pair briefly rekindled their romance following Bobbi’s divorce from Clint Barton. Actor Nick Blood portrayed a version of Lance Hunter in the television series, Marvel’s Agents of Shield. The hero first appeared in the pages of Captain Britain #19 (1977).

Agent Monica Chang was the chief of SHIELD's Artificial Intelligence division. She was tasked with the interrogation of Hank Pym after the virus with which he destroyed Ultron evolved into the A.I. known as Dimitrios, and started mounting cyberattacks against secure military and intelligence targets. She ordered Hank Pym to help her destroy this new threat, for which Pym created a new team of Avengers: the Avengers A.I. Chang acted as a part of the Avengers A.I. until Dimitrios was destroyed and the team disbanded. The heroine first appeared in the pages of Avengers A.I. #1 (2013).

Doctor Jemma Simmons had been a science officer at SHIELD when she was recruited into Phil Coulson’s special operations unit investigating the mystical Uru sword. Simmons later aided Coulson in garnering the aide of the Inhuman known as Karnak in a kidnapping case. During another mission, Dr. Simmons was infected with a virus manufactured by the terrorist cell, AIM. The virus proved fatal yet Simmons was saved when Deathlock transformed her into a partial cyborg. The agent originally appeared in the television series, Marvel’s Agents of Shield, portrayed by actress Elizabeth Henstridge. Simmon's first comic appearance was int he pages of S.H.I.E.L.D. Vol. 3 #1 (2014).

Agent Leopold Fitz had been a fifth level SHIELD operative who showed a tremendous aptitude for mechanical engineering. He was recruited by Commander Phil Coulson to act as a part of his special operations squad to address a terrorist group that had obtained the mystical Uru sword. Fitz remained a part of Cousin’s team until it was disbanded. Fitz originally appeared in the television series, Marvel’s Agents of Shield, portrayed by actor Iain De Caestecker. The agent’s first comic appearance was int he pages of S.H.I.E.L.D. Vol. 3 #1 (2014).

The organization first appeared in the pages of Strange Tales #135 (1965).
