After the recent floods in Emilia Romagna, I decided to auction all of my racing kit from the Monaco GP weekend. I hope that we can raise as much money as possible for the people that really need it in this difficult time. The auction organised by @rmsothebys will be live from Friday 2nd June 10:00 BST until Tuesday 6th June 17:00 BST.

An RBR mechanic (Andy Rush, I will say name and surname) made fun of the emergency he was in, said they could race there, complaining about the airport service IN AN EMERGENCY ZONE before deleting all his Instagram stories and make the profile private.

Don’t let this slip past you. We expect big apologies (and even more honestly) from RBR and to not be forgot. I would personally like to see him fired and disowned and never step foot in Italy again, but I’m too close and too angry to have an opinion. I’m just disgusted that people that was THERE in Imola and saw just a little part of the devastation are still minimizing it and COMPLAIN about it on social medias.

Imola GP was canceled because of flooding in the region.

Some drivers posted this, which is the official relief fund for anyone that wants to donate:

For people that don't use IBAN, this is a global fundraiser, from what I can tell it's safe and legit.

I believe that the drivers here mean the absolute best, but i need everyone to understand that this is NOT going to be over in a couple of days.

This is going to take YEARS.

You were fidgeting as you waited for your phone to ring. After such a bad race, you knew that Charles would need some love.

When your phone finally rang, you rugby tackle style dove at it. 

"I love you." Where your opening words.

"I love you too," Charles replied. You could hear the resignation and disappointment in his voice.

"Do you want to talk about it?" You asked him softly. 

"Not really," Charles told you. "I was too greedy for extra points, and I ended up losing more."

"And that is the luck of the draw, mon chou." You assured him. "There was a chance that move would have worked." You told him. “And if it had, you would have been cheering on second place with me." You told him in the most gentle tone. "Hindsight is a wonderful thing."

"I love you, mon amour." Charles sighed. "Hows is it that you always know the right thing to say?" He asked you.

"I'm only telling the truth." You assured him. "And when you get home, I will wrap you up in a hug, and we will snuggle until all of this is a distant memory."

"That sounds perfect, mon amour." Charles agreed with you. "I'm getting the last flight out this evening to get out sooner.” Charles told you. A tiny bit of enthusiasm crept into his voice.

"That's perfect, mon chou." You hummed. "What time are you getting in?"

"I get in at 3 am." Charles wanted you. "So don't worry about picking me up. I will get a taxi."

"Don't do that," you told Charles. "I want to pick you up."

"Are you sure, mon amour?" Charles asked you.

"I want to see you as soon as I can." You assured him.

"I can't wait, mon amour." Charles breathed down the phone. And you could hear how defeated and exhausted he was. "I just want to be at home with you."

"I know, love." You assured him. "I just want to be wherever you are."

"We will be together soon," Charles stated. Consoling you and himself.

"We will." You agreed.

Suddenly from the other side of the phone, you could hear the sound of a door opening and someone calling for Charles.

"Just a few more minutes." you heard Charles whine.

The person on the other side seemed to disagree as Charles huffed. "Fine."

"I have to go now, mon amour," Charles told you. "Apparently, they have given me too much time already."

"That's okay, my love." You assured him. "Now, remember what I told you."

"Je t'aime," Charles told you. Blowing a kiss down the phone.

"I love you two." You assured him. Blowing your kiss.

As he hung up, you heaved a sigh. You honestly couldn't wait till you could wrap him up in a hug. Your poor beautiful boy.

EMILIA-ROMAGNA WHAT IS GOING ON AND HOW DO I HELP?

“Currently, in Emilia-Romagna, there are 21 flooded rivers and 23 watercourses that have exceeded level 3 — the maximum alarm level. Furthermore, there are 37 municipalities/towns with flooding between Romagna and Bologna. There are 48 municipalities/towns with landslides, some of which are of significant size, between Reggio Emilia and Rimini.” One of the reports regarding the situation stated. Note that this information can variate, increase and decrease.

Two days ago I donated to support and help the Emilia Romagna region in their fight against the floods. I do have family and friends residing there, which, to an extent, gives me a close look into their circumstances. It’s devastating.
