Did emeric get her third eye from her lusus or does she just have that? :o

On a meta level, something @nekropsii and I discussed while he was designing her was the idea of Ceruleans being prone to having eye mutations, which is something that’s pretty common in other official albeit non-canon materials, and we both liked it! And thought it would give her a fun little flair.

On a story level, it’s exactly that, a mutation Emeric happened to hatch with. It’s actually connected to her sense of psychic abilities that some Ceruleans tend to have. The thing is though…it doesn’t work very well usually, not as a conduit for psychic abilities nor as a standard eye. Some days are better than others, and she’ll be able to use it to a limited extent, but it’s not consistent, and forcing it to attempt to work can become incredibly painful. During these times where it’s not working for her, she’s often also nearly or completely blind in this eye. To her it’s a bit more trouble than it’s worth, and tends to cover it up and avoid using it entirely.

While I won’t give away too many specifics as to the ability tied to this eye, I will give you a hint: are you familiar with mood rings?

200 Days Until: Sprite Showcase... 2!

Thank you for your patience! Or... Impatience!! Impatience is flattering also!

This one's a bit more varied than the previous Development Upd8! Rather than just showing off one character, I'm posting several!! From what I can tell, you guys seem rather fond of these characters- and for good reason so far!!

From left to right, we have...

Presae Covnul, our Knight of Void. When she's not suffering bouts of narcoleptic fatigue, she's keeping the game together with duct tape and tears! Though she may not be well versed in technology- to the point of being actively afraid of most electronics- that's certainly not stopping her from being a wizard at it. She's a bit of an anomaly, and likes hiding in dark places... But don't worry about that too much!

Emeric Sargas, our Bard of Mind. She's an oddball who wears her heart on her sleeve and toxic chemicals on her bare skin and hair! If there's one thing she prides herself on, it's her well-earned titles of Mad Scientist and Local Exterminator. Though she displays some... At times concerning behavior, she means well, and is a beloved and silly friend!

Annomi Errata, our Prince of Heart. A troubled young man from the depraved warzone called Chittr. He's a pessimistic media critic who longs to one day write his very own screenplay- and he's not taking "pipe dream" as an answer... For anything. Loneliness oft drives one to obsession, and prolonged participation in the Panopticon of Fame may dull some to the humanity of even their most beloved figures... Which may or may not be relevant.

Sovstuck Players rated by how throwable at a dart board they are.

Cynical Itinerant: 6/10. He wouldn't stick but he WOULD be easy to pick up. I'd feel too bad to throw him though.

Tejuri Kromab: 6/10. she's dartshaped but I would feel bad about it.

Dynama Zarrow: 8/10. Would stick, is almost aerodynamic enough, and i would not feel bad about it.

Presae Covnul: 10/10. I think we would BOTH have a great time. doesn't even matter if she met the board and stuck.

Pardus Rubato: 0/10. I'm not going to do that to her.

Retris Morage: 5/10. His horns would stick in the dartboard. But I don't know if I could pick him up.

Ajax Barrett: 0/10. I could pick him up, sure. But not only would he not stick to the board [no horns], but he could throw ME at a dartboard. hoping he wouldn't tho.

Emeric Sargas: 9/10. Idk if her horns would connect with the dartboard, but I think she would actually LET ME.

Kausat Stolar: -1/10. I wouldn't even try. One point redacted for the fact he could throw me at a dartboard. Not that he would, but he could.

Tomiei Aerras: -4/10. not only can i not pick her up or throw her, but she would pick ME up and throw me onto her ship. might even force me to participate in her fucked up tiktoks. fuck me lads she took my sense of freedom.

Annomi Errata: 9/10. one point redacted for having curved horns. He's so flingable.

Pleome Alrium: 12/10. he'd make a comedic TWANNG noise as his horns hit the bullseye. I wouldn't even have to aim; he'd just hone in on the center like a heatseeking missile.
