Stitched edge comparison between a mini patch I completed sometime around 2018-2019 on the top left and one I finished this week on the bottom right. One of my personal struggles with embroidery can be pulling too hard, which created a very uneven edge. For the latest patch, I tried out a split stitch all the way around before cutting the patch fabric out, glued the felt backing on to hold in place, blanket stitched together, then finished completely around the edge making sure to wrap around that split stitch. It looks much cleaner, however it also takes much longer. I'll try another patch without the blanket stitch step and see how that goes.

This little polaroid patch I finished for my therapist. I’m currently in the waiting room and sadly can’t add anything more to it because if I could I would… it’s uneven and so patchy… Hhdjajdjsj but :3 it’s my fave thing I’ve done thus far still!

The first prototypes for sew-on tmnt patches!!! We’ve got the hamato clan symbol, the Jhonen Vasquez turtle designs (Leo is still a WIP), and a really cute chibi donnie by @sassatello
Plans for the next prototypes:
reduce colors in chibi Don and reduce density
Make the inside of the hamato symbol a cleaner transition between black and silver + make sure fabric isnt visible
Thicken Donnie and Mikey’s lineart
Thank you @/sassatello for letting me use your chibi don btw! He needs more edits but he’s looking cool i think.
