thinking about my relationship with fashion and being nonbinary and being black and I simply can't forgive the white queers for making me think the "default" nonbinary was just being skinny and masc

but also shoutout to all the nonbinary poc (especially black nonbines) that break that stigma. goes to show that even in the grander scheme of the alphabet mafia you still need your own communities to resonate with

the thing about the Batman Mythos is that it actually starts off relatively grounded and then it builds up to a point where Gotham is actually spitting out costumed superheroes and villains because that is the only logical thing to do in a city like Gotham

The problem with the Nolan trilogy is that it starts off heightened but then actively gets grounded

#and that is why the hypothetical Reeves trilogy has the best chance of being the definitive live action adaption #like if Reeves actually embraces that curve and the villains get more heightened as time goes on. that's cinema baby #but ofc none will ever top Burton's Gotham. that's GOTHAM baby. that's the BLUEPRINT.
