Hey! Terrific blog! So fun! Can I please request a fingolfin or turgon x reader please? The reader gets hurt, maybe they go on a patrol and are ambushed and get a large cut on their arm or stomach? Not terribly life threatening but bad enough they need to be rushed back to Gondolin. And their elf PANICS cause their s/o is in pain and losing blood! Ultimately just their elf being super lovey and protective of their hurt s/o, like bossing the medics around refusing to leave. Human reader maybe?

warnings blood, injury, healers, turgon panicking and losing this cool
These roads were supposed to be safe— the borders of the large mountain— but the orcs were smarter this time.
Waiting behind borders— to ambush the patrol group.
You happened to be on the group— Turgon hated the idea of you patrolling.
But one thing you begged during the beginning of your courtship was not to let him take away your warrior title— you grew up learning the best fights and sparring techniques and you couldn't sit still and look pretty for him.
You wanted more than that— you weren't ready to give up everything you learnt, even for love— it wasn't right.
As much as Turgon hated it— he allowed it.
But as long as you stayed on the borders of the hidden city's mountains.
You hissed— your stomach wounded— while it wasn't deep, there was blood loss. You groaned and pushed your way through and killed the last of the orcs— sweat dripping on your forehead.
"Commander!— King Turgon is on his way!"
"You fool!"
You almost screeched— it was a well known fact all your soldiers were reporting back to Turgon every minute of the patrol.
It annoyed you— like Turgon didn't trust you.
You rolled your eyes at the sound of Turgon rushing through— he commanded his horse to make way.
You leaned against one of the borders and clutched your stomach— while you felt a little dizzy you tried to keep yourself steady.
"Y/N!"
He shouted and climbed off his horse.
Go away, you old mystical fool! - you wanted to shout at him.
As much as you loved him - he did get on your nerves.
His daughter - Idril, told you to just go with it— and it was the both the best and worst advice.
"My king— they are deeply wounded!"
"Am not!"
You glared at one of the soldiers.
Turgon rushed to you— his already pale ethereal face, turning paler like the skin of death.
His eyes widened at the amount of blood you were losing.
Without a word Turgon lifted you into his arms— then shouted at his soldiers.
"Ready the path!— I want the best healers on sight!— I will leave first."
He pushed you on his horse's back.
"Turu. . . am fine— please calm down!"
You said — when he climbed onto the horse and wrapped his arms carefully around you.
You noticed he was shaking like a leaf— shouting about his commands.
"Calm down?— Calm down? Y/N!— You're bleeding!"
His eyes were wide— like a fish out of water.
Sometimes you wondered, if Ulmo secretly turned him into fish for a few moments— and he was still experiencing fishmyositis!
"Yes— but am not dying, Turgon!"
You hissed— shouting certainly wasn't helping.
"Hush now— we will get you home. . ."
He kissed your forehead.
Turgon's eyebrow creased in worry— you had the urge to lift and smooth it out.
Even sleeping— Turgon's forehead was creased and you always had to smooth it out.
You swore— if it weren't for you this Nolder would have wrinkles by now.
But right now you couldn't— too weak and if you did his forehead would be painted in your blood.
You sighed— he quickly rode his horse back into the hidden city.
You could hear his heartbeat racing— and you were scared it would break out of his chest any minute now.
"Turu. . . you're panicking. . ."
"Oh— well join me, won't you?"
He almost grunted out.
"I told you not to go patroling, Y/N!— You never listen to me! — You're only human— you will die! You need stop putting yourself in danger!"
Turgon continued on his lecture until the entrance of Gondolin.
Even a worried Idril met you— but Turgon quickly told her to return to her room— then shouted at the healers.
"Well— don't just stand there!"
Right now— it amused you, the usually well-composed Turgon losing it at the sight of your blood— but you didn't dare laugh.
Turgon placed you on the bed— and the healers rushed to clean and stitch up your wound.
Your eyes widened when a total of 5 healers came to your side— you really only needed 1 or 2— and Turgon didn't allow any of them to leave the room, until the process was finished.
He held your hand— whispering sweet nothings and kissing your fingers.
His eyes twitched, glaring at the healers whenever you made discomforting noise — but you caressed his hand and pulled his gaze to you.
"Stop hurting them— your lives are on the line. Mark my words— I'll throw you off the wall of this city, if they do not-"
You whacked his arm, shutting him up— even gave him a glare.
He knew that look.
The shut your mouth, you old mystical fool look— he loved and hated it.
You sighed and turned to the 5 healers.
"Thank you for your assistance— am fine, now you may leave."
Turgon let out a disproving grunt— earning another whack from you.
"They should stay here."
He wasn't too happy about you letting him go.
You rolled your eyes.
"Well. . . if they continue to stay here, you wouldn't have the opportunity to come to my side and cuddle me. . ."
You held your arms wide open— and blinked innocently at him.
Turgon frowned— and this time you reached forward and smoothed it away.
"I might hurt you. . ."
"You need to stop looking at me like a fragile little human, Turu— I won't break."
You reassured him.
Carefully Turgon laid on the bed— beside you and pulled you into his arms.
You rested you head on his chest— happy that his heartbeat was now slow and calm.
"I love you, Y/N. . . I cannot lose you. . . not yet, am not ready for that. . ."
You sighed— as a human you wouldn't each eternity like Turgon.
"My love, please— do not fret over me like this— am indeed a warrior— I have came across worse before and survived, have a little faith in me. . .trust me. . ."
It was hard for Turgon to leave you fight— it scared him really, he preferred if you stay in the safety of the city.
He had already lost too much— he couldn't add you to the list.
As you were human— he was bound to lose you one day— but he couldn't let that day arrive too quickly.
Turgon would do everything in his power to push that day far as possible.
"Please— be careful next time, my love. . ."
You nodded and pulled him into a chaste loving and promising kiss.

I love how much the elves love hidden cities. The host of Valinor only just arrived and two princes of the royal family immediately dissappear to build hidden cities. And a few thousand years later Elrond builts another one. How many people must have been like "Elrond, all the hidden cities we had ended up in total disaster" and Elrond's just like "nope, I want a hidden city". They're like toddlers who can't stop building blanket forts and I think it's hilarious.

Maeglin and Gothmog...
(HC)
Maeglin was fascinated by the Balrog the first time he saw him in the woods, back then with Glorfindel, Ecthelion and Salgant. This evil, majestic beauty attracted him and never let him go. He knew that he's different since the day he was born. Being traumatised by his parents, he tried his best to fit into the society of his kin but he always stayed an outcast, he never truly became one of them. All this pain suddenly vanished into excitment when he saw the creatures of Angband and the urge to meet them, no matter how it would end, got stronger everytime he saw them from distance…if he just could touch him for only one time..if his fire would devour him, Maeglin wouldn't care…he just wants to feel alive for at least one time in his young but sad life…

All these gentlemen were drawn as part of the Gondolin Gang series for intea (my deep gratitude for this opportunity and inspiration ♥). Of course I will draw the remaining two, but now I want to show the finished ones 😃
I tried to draw different but stylistically similar and simple outfits, hairstyles and faces, so that one could believe that they live at the same time and in the same place, being in an everyday (medieval) environment - most of them had small bags for small things and clothes whose fit is regulated by a belt and not by patterns.
Egalmot got the most complex background - there's a cat there, did you see it? 🐈
Who do you like the most and who has the coolest handbag? 🙂👀

some sketches for an old au of mine, where Maeglin survives Gondolin and flees from Morgoth’s forces hunting him. He has a run in with the Feanorians in one of the elven cities and is recognized as an Angband thrall/spy. To save his own life, he bargains with his ability to recreate Angrist and to share what plans of Morgoth’s he’d been privy to.
Vibes partly inspired by this track from Rurouni Kenshin
