Hi,
I make period drama style gifs for free. If you use gif packs, please like and reblog them. Most of my projects are already ready, but every day I post no more than 190 gifs. Because that was the reason why my previous account was blocked.
I tried to make gif packs in a format more familiar to you with a link to a separate page. However, unfortunately, I did not succeed because of the large format of high-quality gifs.
I want to explain about color processing. Usually, I improve the contrast, brightness and saturation, but leave the naturalness of the film. I don't make the contours too sharp because I like the aesthetic of it looking like a natural image.

☕️ Film adaptations of Little Women
thank you, bethany, for giving me another reason to talk about little women! i'll focus on 3 adaptations because there are many lol
1994 film:
i do still really love the 1994 adaptation, especially since it's the first i ever saw, so it holds a special place in my heart! i think that winona ryder is a great jo, she embodies her really well. kirsten dunst is really cute as young amy (in general i like kirsten quite a lot), and i like samantha mathis as older amy. although i enjoy this one, it is not my go-to little women adaptation!
2017 pbs mini series:
willa fitzgerald best meg march, i said what i said. i love her version of meg! kathryn newton is lovely as amy, and i really love amy and laurie in the mini series, i thought that kathryn and jonah worked really well together. while in general i like maya hawke, i really do not like her as jo. there's something about her jo that is so...idk jarring to me? jo is for sure quirky, and generally maya plays quirky super well and endearingly, but i don't feel that way with her as jo. i don't know, there's something missing in her interpretation of jo which is really disappointing to me because she was the reason i originally watched the series, besides the fact that like it's little women and i'll watch anything little women. i do think that it's beautifully shot and that the aesthetic is just lovely!
2019 film:
this is my favorite film. i watch it all the time. it brings me joy and comfort like no other. i really do think that this is a pretty perfect film adaptation. greta gerwig completely understands little women and it's characters. i love that it goes back in forth from the past to the present (the color changing! brilliant! idk why some people found it confusing, it made clear sense to me), the sections of dialogue pulled directly from the book, the addition of jo's speech about being lonely, just...it's everything to me. also florence pugh best amy, florence and greta made everyone realize what i've been saying for years. justice for amy march, i am the #1 amy march apologist. and saoirse ronan was the perfect choice for jo. eliza scanlen breaks my heart as beth in the best way, she has this lovely child-like wonder that i think is needed for beth, and she's just so warm. though i did want more from emma as meg. i didn't hate her as meg or anything, i just think that out of the four, she was the weakest. i loved how all four girls played off each other. god i just love it more than anything.
send me a ☕️ + a topic and i'll share my opinions!
