Bring Back My Bonnie to Me [Part One] ~~ [Tonnie + Elinor]
In which Tom and Annie meet face to face for the first time since Levi was born...[takes place: May 23, 2022 evening]
@ugly-anastasia, @mamabear-elinor
[tw -- order stuff, manipulation, thoughts of violence/murder lol]
THOMAS: This was only Tom’s second time at the old castle in the woods and it gave him the same sense of dread and foreboding as it had the last time he’d seen it. Its parapets rose high, disappearing into the trees and a dense fog lay like a blanket over the ground. A chill ran up his spine, despite the relatively warm day. Dawn was just cresting over the horizon, but in the dense forest you could not see it. It didn’t matter to Tom anyway. It just marked his second…third? day without sleep. And another sunrise where his son was still missing.
He had come only on behest of his aunt, with no idea why she had called for him. At the very least, he could see Merida and see if she had any updates on their situation. What they were going to do. And look at his cousin with his own two eyes and know she was alright.
He could do that.
The knocker on the large oak door echoed and it took only moments for Elinor to open it.
“Oh, Thomas,” she frowned, reaching up to put her hands on either side of his face. She brushed at his oily, messy curls and brushed her thumbs against the apples of his cheeks. “We are going to fix all of this, I promise.”
Tom wanted to tell her that they couldn’t fix all of it. Unless that demon could bring back Eric from the dead. (And would Tom even want him to?)
Instead, he just nodded mutely and allowed his aunt to pull him into the castle. “Come, sit down near the fire. You’re cold as ice.” She squeezed his hand, but he barely felt it. He let her lead him, though, as if he was just a small boy again, clinging to his mother’s skirts.
That was until he stopped in the doorway of the sitting room, his feet planted. “What--what are you doing here?” he snarled, his eyes wildly darting about the room--looking for his son. “Where is Levi? What have you done with him?”
“Thomas.” Despite his own anger and his own exhaustion, his aunt’s voice was still an effective whip, cracking over his head.
He was breathing heavily, his fists trembling where he clenched them.
“Let her explain.”
“Aye, she bloody well better.”
ANNIE: Annie was really good at the art of curating an emotional crisis. Her most recent online scandal was proof of that. She knew how to put on just enough makeup that she looked tired, but not ugly; the perfect messy bun that said “I don’t care what I look like right now, but I do still look good;” a matching lounge set that was cute and understated and, like, respectful or whatever. Annie was good at reading the room.
But Annie’s current emotional crisis was not curated. She did not have any makeup on, and her hair wasn’t in a perfect messy bun, it hung around her face in a frizzy, unbrushed mess. She was wearing the same jeans and blouse she had been wearing all day, but there was a noticeable coffee stain down the front. Annie clutched at the offending mug tightly, like it was a life raft.
Tom had been right. She had handed her day-old son over to murderers. What kind of mother did that? And what was going to happen now?
“Tom, I didn’t know,” she whispered hoarsely. “As soon as Elinor told me, I– I realized I had been wrong. She was just so… Eloise, she always knew exactly what to say. I thought I was doing the right thing for Levi by listening to her. And then…” Annie’s voice caught in her throat and she started to cry– not for the first time that day, or even that hour. “I’m sorry, Tom!”
THOMAS: “I bloody told you!” Tom bellowed, his shout echoing off the walls. All his frustration, all his fear, anger, and grief unleashed. He took a step forward.
Elinor cut in front of him, drawing Tom up short. “Thomas--”
Tom sucked in a deep breath and then turned away from angling towards Annie. He crossed to the other side of the room and began pacing back and forth, a couch and coffee table between himself and Annie on the other couch. Elinor stood in the middle of the room between them. He ran a hand through his hair.
Then, all of the sudden he stopped short and whirled on Annie again, gripping the back of the fragile, antique wood hard enough heard it crack.
“Where is he?” he snarled, eyes hard and sharp. “Did you LEAVE HIM WITH THEM?”
ANNIE: For Annie, tears were usually a defense mechanism. She cried when she felt backed into a corner, because she knew how to use her tears as a weapon. But she wasn’t fighting Tom. That wasn’t what this was about.
Instead, she yelled back at him, her voice low and still thick with tears and decidedly more British. Yelling felt better than crying. It felt like she was doing something. It was practically her and Tom’s primary form of communication, wasn’t it?
“I told you, I didn’t know! Stop bloody shouting at me! You’ve got no idea what it’s like to be in my position! You think I wanted this? To find out the people who were supposed to be giving him the life he deserved are bloody psychopathic murderers?!”
THOMAS: Tom didn’t want to stop shouting. Maybe, once upon a time, he would’ve felt bad for it. For shouting at Annie, the mother of his child, a woman. But right now he only saw her as a kidnapper. Taking his son from him. Leaving his son in the care of, as she said: psychopathic murderers. He had no sympathy for her. Her tears meant nothing to him. How many tears had Levi cried? How many more would he cry if he grew up in the clutches of the Order?
“I told you!” he bellowed right back at her. “I told you and you didnae listen to me! I begged you but you thought you knew better, eh? Knew my family better than I did. Thought I was what? Crazy? A brute? A liar? Why? Why would--”
“Tom--”
“Nae, Auntie,” Tom snapped at his aunt. “She deserves this! I tried--” Tears suddenly clouded his vision “--I did everything I could.”
Elinor reached out and gripped his shoulder with surprising strength. “I know,” she murmured to him. “I know. Fighting isn’t going to fix this. It is what they would want. You need to be strong. For Levi. For your son.”
Tom let out a shuddering breath, bowing his head forward as he gripped the back of the couch. He sniffed once, then sucked in a deep breath and nodded. He looked back up, still glaring at Annie but when he spoke, some of the heat was gone from his voice.
“You’re gonnae help us get him back. And you are gonnae listen. And do everything that I say. Are we understood? This is not your world. It is mine.” He is my son.
ANNIE: Annie opened her mouth to tell Tom exactly what she thought of him. That she thought he was stubborn and secretive and no, she didn’t think he was crazy, but she didn’t trust him, and that was enough to get her to listen to Eloise over him.
(That wasn’t the whole story, of course. The whole story was that Annie didn’t really feel inclined to trust men as a baseline, and she had developed a deep aspirational obsession with Eloise over the past few months, and she felt drawn to people who validated the things she already believed about herself. Annie wasn’t self-aware enough for that part, though.)
Elinor was the one to interrupt Tom, though, and now Tom was crying, and that was what actually scared Annie. She wasn’t afraid of him. She was afraid of what he was afraid of. If his family was capable of murder, what else were they capable of? What else did Tom know?
Annie stared at Tom, wide-eyed and pale. Her hand twitched and more coffee splashed out of the cup, but she didn’t notice.
“Why do you think I’m here, Tom? Obviously we’re getting him back,” Annie said, but her tone didn’t have the irritable, sarcastic tone she usually took with Tom when she said things like that to him. It was at once both desperate and flat. “I don’t care what I have to do. Sure. I’ll listen to you. If you know something I don’t, that’s fine. But I have information, too. Stuff you might not know. And they still trust me. So we’re gonna need to work together.”
THOMAS: Obviously we’re getting him back, Annie said, but that--meant nothing.
There was no ‘obviously’ about it. Tom would not underestimate the Order. They wanted his son. Tom had, technically, sworn his son to them. They would make good on their threats. He knew that they would. This was a dangerous situation. Not just for Levi, but for Tom--for everyone that he cared about.
He glanced at his aunt, who was still standing at his shoulder, a hand on his arm. Her gaze was steady, but firm and he appreciated it. At least someone else here knew what the stakes were.
“Alright: what do you know then?” Tom asked. He resented this. Working with Annie. But, at heart, he was a warrior. And it would be stupid not to take advantage of the assets he had. It didn’t mean anything. Tom wasn’t doing it for Annie. He was doing it for Levi.
ANNIE: Annie frequently preached that anything was possible if you set your mind to it. That didn’t mean she always believed it. But it was what people liked to hear, and right now, she didn’t really want to think about what would happen if they didn’t get Levi back (because she had thought about it. She had mulled it over all day. She didn’t know all the details of why they had killed that boy, Tom’s cousin, but it meant they were dangerous and they would kill again and Levi wasn’t safe there).
So right now, she was gonna have to believe it. She was putting her whole mind to this— every last ounce of determination she had. She was even working with the last person she wanted to confront right now. It was going to be worth it. It had to be.
“There’s going to be a party. Monday night. It’s kind of a meet-the-baby welcome-to-the-family type thing. And I’m invited, obviously, and they think I’m still totally fine with, uh… him being there.” Annie stumbled a little over that part, her face reddening. There was a reason they thought that. Because, for a moment in time, Annie had been totally fine with that. “Apparently it’s at a new location, this property they just got in London. They sent me the address and all. So I think I should just, I guess, uh, go in there, get Levi, and make a run for it. Not totally foolproof, but… it’s the best plan I got.”
THOMAS: Yeah, of course it was a new property. The Order wasn’t going to go back to their old haunts. The places that Tom, Phil, and John knew. The places they knew the weaknesses of. It would be stupid to stay there and, unfortunately for Tom, the Order was not stupid.
Part of him wanted to pace the floor, but Tom had never been one for pacing. He was stoic and still, as the storm raged inside him. He rubbed an exhausted hand over his face, trying to blink away the tears and bleariness. His mind chewed over Annie’s words, trying to find fault with them. He was so focused on the plan itself that he almost missed the other part.
The most important part: they think I’m still totally fine with him being there.
So, she had left Levi. She had been planning on leaving him properly. The Order hadn’t taken Levi. Annie had offered him up to them on a silver platter. Tom wanted to launch himself over the couch and strangle her. But even with the righteous fury coursing through him, he was too tired. Instead, he took a deep breath and stood up straight again, but he didn’t look at Annie. He couldn’t. If he did, he’d start shouting again.
He looked at his aunt.
“Do you think it will work?” he asked his aunt, because he knew she’d know better than him. After all, this was women’s territory. Babies and parties and things like that. His aunt had plenty of experience organizing such events.
Elinor nodded. “If they believe she gave Levi up of her own volition and just wants to come to the party, they won’t see it as a threat. She is still his mother.”
And though that did not mean as much as a father to the Order, it still meant something.
“Aye. Alright. But I’m going with her.”
“Tom, no--if anyone spots you.”
“No. I am going,” Tom snapped harshly, glaring sharply at his aunt. “I have to go.” The fire gave way to tears again as the fear squeezed his throat.
ANNIE: Annie was inclined to side with Elinor. Because even if she realized, now, that she had been wrong about Tom, she still trusted Elinor more. Tom was the one who was angry and emotional and who was making her feel the depth of all the terrible things she didn’t want to confront about her mistake.
But, then again…
Annie didn’t want to go alone.
“You can’t come in, but it might help to have someone driving the car,” Annie suggested weakly. “And, uh… I mean, obviously I don’t wanna think about the worst case scenario, and I am pretty scrappy, but if it comes down to it, might be good to have someone there for backup who’s, uh…” How was she supposed to put this. “…Trained for this kind of thing?”
THOMAS: Tom was trained for this kind of thing.
Maybe this was what his whole life had been leading up to, in some strange, twisted way. The Order had given him the tools he needed to tear it down. To save his son. If he was someone else, maybe he would not be able to. Even another Prince. Another Prince would not have the skill he had, passed down to him through his father, nor the special time spent training--the whole Order investing in him, Phil, and John, they way they hadn’t in their peers.
They had crafted Tom into a weapon and set him loose under false pretenses. Now, he was the banshee on the moor and he was coming for them. Something about that soothed him. He knew, objectively, that killing anyone would lead to his own death, but he was a talented soldier. He did not have to kill them in order to fight.
Tom still did not want to look at Annie, to speak to her. He was still boiling over with fury that she would leave their son in the clutches of the Order.
But, after a long moment, he managed to nod. Just once. “I’ll drive. You’ll go in and fetch him. If things start going wrong, text me.” He said all of this still looking at his aunt, but eventually he turned and met Annie’s gaze, his own hard as stone.
“If he’s gone, if I lose him--”
The threat burned up in his throat, because he did not know what he would do. Part of him felt that it might be satisfying to run Annie through with a sword, but the grief at just the thought was far too painful to even comprehend. So, instead, he just let it linger.
“Come on,” Elinor said softly, putting her hand on Tom’s shoulder. “You both need to rest. You have a long day tomorrow…”
ANNIE: It was what Annie was thinking, but would not say.
They weren’t going to lose him. It didn’t matter that the Harringtons had been nothing but kind and welcoming and accommodating to Annie (well, maybe sometimes they had been a little cold, which always just made Annie crave their approval all the more). According to what Elinor had said, these people were crazy evil murderers, and Annie was getting Levi out of there before any of this continued.
Not that she was comparing Charlie to a murder cult, but if the past year had taught her anything… it was when to get the fuck out of a situation.
So no, Annie was not going to let herself imagine what would happen if she failed. She nodded at Elinor and didn’t look at Tom, and then she went to start her skincare routine. She knew she wasn’t going to sleep much tonight. It was probably useless. Still, Annie clung to the routine.

!! ️SCHOOL WILL NEVER TEACH YOU THIS👇🏿
|| THE AFRICAN ORIGIN OF THE NAME ISRAEL ||
The teachings of Bundu Dia Kongo.
Ne MUANDA NSEMI teaches the Makesa mu Nzila Kongo: the mystery of the name, because the name is the carrier of evil and beneficial influences to the one who bears it.
The name is also linked to a person's state of being.
Como example: with Zulu Makeba, with MBEMBA ZULU, with NKEMBO WA MONESUA, with NSANSUKULU A KANDA, YAYA VITA KIMPA, MFUMU KIMBANGU, with MUANDA NSEMI, NAVITA NGOLO, MFUKA FUAKAKA MUZEMBA etc.
Ne MUANDA NSEMI also teaches Makesa mu Nzila Kongo that speaking French, English is not synonymous with being intellectual.
Africans have become, complexly, foreign languages fanatics. Africans believe that giving a French, English or Hebrew name would have more meaning than in their mother tongue.
Example:
-that one called PEDRO thinks it's better to be called a stone than to be called TADI in his mother tongue which is KIKONGO.
- whoever is called ELOHIM believes this designation is divine in origin, but refuses to be called ELIMA in their language, while ELOHIM= ELIMA in Kikongo.
.
Ne MUANDA NSEMI teaches the Makesa mu Nzila Kongo that the word KELIMA means a Messenger God, a Genius, an Angel. When the letter 'K' falls, KELIMA becomes ELIMA, in the plural BIKELIMA: the flashing, the SEZIMA, the SELIMA.
.
Elima word expansion, adding letters. Oh give the words Elohima Elohim in Hebrews
Eli, El, stands for ELIMA, Kelima.
Give names like: EL Fatah, EL Chadai, ELION.
The abbreviation " EL " is also in the name of God, Archangels, Prophets in the Hebrew language as: Deus Yave Israel. Archangel Michael, Michël, Raphael, and other names such as: Ishmael, Samuël, Daniël, Emmanuel, Ezequiël...
.
Kelima, Elima is synonymous with God of Simbi, Nomo, a messenger God, a Genius of Nature, an Angel, a Radiant of Light.
No more no less On the cross Jesus shouted Elima (=Eli), Elima (=Éli), why have you forsaken me?
.
A Kelima, an Elima is a Great Mulimu, a Great Spirit of Nature: Each Elima has its own name:
And HOGU BATALA, OUR KAMBISI, KOLOKOSO, OUR KINZOLA, OLONGO, OUR MANDOMBE KALI, LUEZI (LUEJI, LUEJ, RUEJ) , RA, ISISI, MANATA LUDI etc.. These are some famous Elima from Egyptian BUKONGO.
.
Isis stands for Isisi: a goddess (an Elima) of Ancient Egypt.
.
Ra is a male Elima (+), isisi a female (-).
IS, RA, EL giving Israel. It is the fusion of positive (Ra) and negative (isisi), the union of man and woman gives an androgynous Elima (EL), both male and female. An equal Elima is called Mahungu, Malunga, Ilunga, Complete Being, made in the image of the Great God KONGO KALUNGA.
.
The holy book of Kongo (MAKONGO) religion teaches that Kana was the land of High Priest MELCHISEDEK.
Mukana verb means Nkua Vema, an enthusiastic, a passionate, a jealous, a fanatic.
Kikana is fanaticism: Bakana ba Nzambi are fanatic of God, KANA, KANANA country.
Originally Kana and Madian were inhabited by blacks
Midian was inhabited by the High Priest, Gestro (Yetelo), this High Priest of Bukongo teaches Moses to contact the Angel of the people of Israel who is the God of Israel.
Kana was inhabited by High Priest Melchisedek, this High Priest of Bukongo teaching Hibrahim, Abraham to enter into communion with God of Israel.
.
In kikongo language the sun is called Ntangu lowa the Great Nabi Kongo say the heart of the sun is called KISEDEKI.
-so MAMBU MELE KISEDEKI i mean problems went to the heart of the sun. The word MELE is a Kikongo verb form from the verb KUENDA which means to go.
.
In Bukongo, a Great Nabi Kongo that serves as a transmission channel between the Assemblies of God (Temple) and the Heart of the Sun, bears the grand opening title of Ne MELE KISEDEKI.
.
The bible says Melchisedik king of Salem brought bread and wine. He was a sacrifice of a very high God. He bless Abraham by the most high God
Ibrahim (Abraham) gave Dime to Mechisedek (Genesis 14: 18-20)
So here is Abraham, the first prophet of God of Israel) who is blessed by a High Priest black a Great Nabi Kongo, Ne MELE KISEKEDI.
Abraham father of the faith of the white Hebrews pay Dime to the Priest of the Most High God Ne MELE KISEDEKI King and Priest of KANA we will distort in Kanan Canaan because of their variants Kanana.
- Thus Abraham (Ibrahim) imitating copying the language of the people of Kana (THE BAKONGO) and distorting the graft in the Hebrew language, these words distort the source in Kikongo
- in Kikongo language
Excerpt from the book The Mysteries of KIKONGO
Written by NE MUANDA NSEMI Nlongi' to KONGO.

I ran into this thread and wanted to translate it into English. It details the torture of a person who went through russian “filtration camps” in 2000 (during the Second Chechen War). This text will not be for everybody, but if your stomach is strong enough, please read it. It does not only gives us an insight into the fate of people illegally deported from Ukraine, but the kind of crimes that russia has been committing for years under willful neglect of the west, and specifically - the institutions that were put in place to prevent these very things. Never forget that all of this could have been prevented.
*important context - the victim is Chechen, who are considered POC in russia and are strongly discriminated against on all social levels today.
This is the story of Adam, the brother of Elima. He was kidnapped on the 16 of April 2000 by the [russian] federals, and transported into a filtration camp located in the former foster home for deaf-mute people. People were greeted with two banners near the entrance: “We don’t give a fuck about your sorrow” and “We can help you die. Special Police Force. Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug interior department”. Adam was given an 18-years imprisonment “for terrorism”, even though his sister has paid the ransom that was demanded of him. First, she has brought to the russian terrorists 2000$, then 1500$ more, and then 5000$ more. To get the money, she has sold everything they ever owned - their flat, car, all the jewellery, and got a lot of loans.
What did russians do to Adam in the filtration camp? They were beating him until all of his internal organs were completely damaged. All of his fingers were broken. Hanged him on a pullup bar with his arms and legs tied - this dislocates all the joints. They were placing a plastic bag over his head and tying it on his neck. When Adam was starting to choke and lose consciousness, they took off the bag, brought him to life and repeated it again and again. They made him stand against the wall with his legs spread wide and hit him in the testicles, saying that “They are performing a [eugenical] selection so that he will never have children”.
Another torture they used is called a “rose”. It works like that: a tube is inserted into the anus, and through it - a piece of barbed wire. After that, the tube is pulled out, and the wire gets violently yanked out, together with the intestines.
They burned the inside of his mouth with a soldering iron, making it impossible to consume any food or water. They constructed a cross out of rail tracks, hanged him there and tortured him with electricity.
If a person who went through these camps broke under the torture and confessed to being a terrorist, the russians continued to torture him, just for fun: cut off his ears, nose, and fingers and raped him.
Adam refused to sign the confession, so he went through these tortures over and over and over again. After that, he was imprisoned for 18 years in a maximum-security prison “for terrorism”. He is one of those people Ivan Zhdanov called “The Chechen terrorists that weren’t finished off”. This will never be forgiven.
After two Czechen Wars, only two russian terrorists faced justice for the war crimes. All the others returned home and keep on living peaceful lives. These creatures are people with names and surnames, who remain unpunished. Adam is one among tens of thousands. Who will answer for this?

Hello. I saw that the requests are open. So I decided to try my luck. How about the elima garak x fem reader who has very pale skin, which is why she quickly burns in the sun. And Garak did not know that this happens to people and that people's skin gets off after that. I hope this isn't too dumb an idea😭
Oh, friend, this is not a bad idea at all. I’m totally happy to write this! Considering Garak is from a lizardy species that is 1000000% happy in warm climates, I’d imagine that he’d be like “👀!!!!!!! I’m sorry, you can get BURNED? By your OWN SUN?!?!”
Anyway, this is cross-posted to AO3 here.

Burned
Elim Garak (ST:DS9) x Reader
[A/N: I usually try to write readers with no description so anyone can insert themselves (barring any fuckups on my part or descriptions of anatomy for nsfw fics) unless there are request-specific descriptors like this.]
Warnings: Pale!Reader, descriptions of sunburn related stuff (does that need a warning?), general protective!Garak fluff, established relationship.

“...doesn’t look too bad this time. I’d say a couple of sessions with a dermal regenerator should do the trick, Lieutenant.” Garak overheard the good Doctor’s words as he walked toward the infirmary to meet his friend for lunch. He wondered who the unfortunate injured party was. Had it not been for the mention of the rank, the Cardassian would’ve suspected Chief O’Brien had dislocated his shoulder again.
“Thanks, Julian,” a familiar voice called out, making his eye ridges raise in some mix of curiosity and mild concern. Hearing the quiet hum of a dermal regenerator finally shut off after a few minutes, Garak waited patiently until the Doctor left the treatment bay he’d had you in.
“Hello, Garak. Sorry, I’m just finishing up with a patient, then all three of us can go to lunch together,” Julian said with a smile as he grabbed a data PADD. Garak could do no more than watch as you emerged straightening your uniform.
“Hey, stranger,” you crooned when you caught sight of him. Elim was at your side in a flash.
“My dear, are you hurt? What happened?” He asked clasping your hands in his and giving you a quick once over, looking for any signs of injury. A quiet huff of laughter from the Doctor made his eyes flick to his friend.
“Relax, Garak. If she was seriously hurt, I’d have called for you. I was just treating the Lieutenant for a sunburn, that’s all,” Julian said tapping out the last few bits of data on his PADD as a smile spread his lips.
“‘Sunburn’?” Garak asked with confusion lacing his tone as he looked at you for an answer. Placing a hand on his chest and giving him a reassuring smile, you explained calmly - rather too calmly for an injured person, in Garak’s opinion.
“Yes. Humans and some other species can get mild burns if they spend too much time in the sun. It can happen more quickly for people with pale skin, but it’s usually nothing to worry about.” Garak couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Could this happen with your own system’s sun, too? Were humans so frail? An extra dose of protectiveness flared up in the Cardassian’s heart, and he cupped your cheek softly.
“And...what happens if it goes untreated?” Garak asked looking between you and Julian.
“Oh, sunburns aren’t too serious. Usually, at the severity that the Lieutenant was showing prior to her visit, the worst that would happen would be a bit of blistering and the dead skin beginning to peel. It’s nothing a dermal regenerator or some topical aloe vera gel couldn’t cure. Apart from a bit of fatigue from the body trying to heal itself, that’s it, really.” Julian said it so easily as if this wasn’t the first Garak was hearing about humans being vulnerable to their own sun. The Doctor’s hand landed gently on the tailor’s shoulder. “It really is nothing to worry about. At this point, even if she misses her second appointment, the effects should be limited to minor peeling.”
“Yes, well, I’ll be keeping a closer eye on you the next time we go sunbathing. Gorgeous Risian days or not, I don’t want you getting hurt just because I enjoy the sun’s warmth,” he said firmly, kissing your forehead. “I’ll make sure she’s back for her second treatment on time, Doctor, you have my word.”

OC Inspiration ~ Danica (cont’d)
Tumblr media
More inspiration I’ve used for Danica over the last year of developing her character, background and story. 💙
Top Right ~ Mrs. Brisby from The Secret of NIMH is a character that has always stuck with me because of her incredible determination despite not being the strongest or most courageous. Very similar to Danica’s own shy nature and quiet determination. And like Mrs. Brisby, Danica is able to find the strength to overcome obstacles once she realizes that she is so much more than what people think of her.
Center Left ~ Kpop idol Wonyoung from the group IVE, one of two real life references I use for Danica’s faceclaim. In my opinion, she is one of the most beautiful performers in Kpop and her idol career was also a huge source of inspiration for Shining Hearts, if you know, you know.
Bottom Left ~ Elmina from the anime Petite Princess Yucie, maybe I’m showing my age with this since this anime is almost 20 years old and hella obscure. But Elimna’s perfectionist streaks, perceived aloofness and distant family were all inspiration for Danica way back when I was first developing her in high school. And while writing Shining Hearts, I went back and rewatched Petite Princess Yucie a few times and Elima is as much an inspiration for Danica now as she was before.

Five.
"I'm gonna cry, this show sucks," you speak, throwing your head back on the back of the couch.
"What is with this CGI..." The blonde mutters. "What's the budget on this show?"
You shrug. "Let me enjoy my show, Tommy"
"Wait, that Jeffery guy got out?"
"Yeah," you frown, watching as Athena runs across the screen and outside to look for the monster who was supposed to be on trial.
He pulls you into a hug as you both watch the show, being the first episode of season four. The city is collapsing, and a fangroup of a dangerous predator were sending glares to the victims.
You knew it was just a show. You couldn't help but feel bad because people did treat victims like that in real life, plus this show just made you emotional as all hell.
The blonde pulls you a little closer, having seen your eyes well up with tears.
"He's right there!"
"Athena run!"
"Oh fuck!"
"This show stresses me out too much, Y/n/n"
"How do you think I feel?"
Tumblr media
Cinco.
"Liking sherbert ice cream is such a red flag"
"What? Says you! Strawberry just isn't that good"
You playfully scoff, holding your strawberry waffle cone in your hand as Tommy passes up a ten pound bill up to the lady in the food truck. He holds his plastic bowl of sherbert ice cream in his other hand, a spoon tied between his index and middle fingers, holding on for dear life so as not to be dropped onto the concrete below.
"Why do I ever take you to do fun things?"
"You love me," He grins, stuffing the change in his pocket before walking away with you. "I just hold a special place in your heart."
"Sure you do, pal," you reply with a smile, taking a bite out of your ice cream. "Where do you wanna sit? I can't eat and walk, not a multi-tasker."
He scans the area, landing his eyes on a bench across the little road. Thank God these fairgrounds had benches, unlike the ones near Tubbo. Eugh.
He leads you toward the bench, taking a bite from his multicolored sweet with the white plastic spoon. You sit down with him, enjoying the scenery of a million fair rides and colorful lights against the dark night sky. Screams of terror and amusement fill your ears as you watch one of the mini coasters go down the large drop again.
You feel a shiver run down your spine, the chilly wind freezing you up for a moment. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to eat ice cream with no sun around to keep you warm. The blonde notices, though, and nearly makes a joke to rip on you for not bringing a jacket. But, he doesn't.
He slips off his plaid jacket and wraps it around your shoulders. He took into consideration that you would've just gone back and forth if he tried handing it to you.
You look at him, an eyebrow raised in clear confusion.
"I saw you shivering." He chuckles, taking another bite out of his sorbet. "Just take it, I'm sweating in it anyways"
You quietly nod and lean into the jacket more, considering you didn't have free hands to put it on at the moment. You could feel his body heat from the jacket rub off on you, warming you up as it was a heater.
"You wanna go on the ferris wheel after this?" He asks, looking up at the big, circular wheel a couple hundred yards away. Lights glimmer and flicker across the sides, shining all colors of the rainbow. "The line doesn't look too bad at the moment"
You shrug, "Yeah, sure. I'll slip the guy a five to hold us at the top to scare you." You joke with a snicker.
"Y/n!"
Tumblr media
Funf.
"I'm not jealous. Why would I be jealous?" You deadpan to your blonde friend, arms crossed.
"Cause I'm going on a date" He answers, again.
"With someone who's an asshole," you clarify once again, "Dude, I'm serious. There's a million other people you could go out with. Just skip them before they actually hurt you"
"Physically or mentally?"
"Tommy! I'm serious"
He sighs, pulling at the tie around his neck. He sighs, nearly a groan. "Why did I agree to take them somewhere fancy?"
You roll your eyes and quickly rush to his aid, turning him to face you. You loop your fingers around the tie and begin properly tying it around his collared shirt for him. He quickly feels his face heat up, making sure to keep his chin up, eyes still down to watch you work. He notices you bite at the inside of your cheek a bit, showing that you were in deep concentration.
He didn't know whether or not you actually knew how to tie a tie, or if you did it to make him shut the hell up, but he appreciated it either way.
"There," you speak, pulling your hands away from his neck after adjusting the tie a bit so it wasn't asymmetrical. "Tie is tied, Simons"
He turns to the mirror, looking at himself again. He smiles lightly, his eyes softening as he looks back at you.
"Thanks"
"Go have fun on that date of yours"
"I'll try"
Tumblr media
Cinq.
"Just hold my hand, you'll be okay"
"What are you talking about? I'm gonna die!"
"You'll live"
"Nuh uh!"
You sigh, dragging Tommy to the slingshot. You walk behind Tubbo and Freddie, who are a few feet ahead, as they hadn't heard any of Tommy's whining. Who knew the poor boy was so scared of heights.
"Please, I don't wanna get on it!"
"I need a partner, Simons"
He groans, catching up to your speed, your hand still wrapped around his wrist. You catch up to your friends, now walking through the empty line area.
"See? No one's here because they know they're gonna die!"
"No one's here because it's lunch time, Tommy"
"Damnit"
The overhead straps click as they lock around your bodies. Tommy's already white-knuckling the handles, clear desperation and fear in his eyes. You reach your left hand out to him, looking at him the best you can past the safety harness, which is practically against your face.
He quickly grabs onto your hand, squeezing it tightly.
"You'll be fine, it's fun!"
"I'm scared!"
Freddie and Tubbo laugh, reassuring the blonde that he'll live. Something in you is still a little surprised that Tubbo was actually excited about this.
The automated "keep your hands and feet inside the ride" speech plays while the platform sinks into the ground a bit, preparing to fling you into space. The blonde leans his head back, mentally preparing himself to scream his voice away. A split second after it ended, you were shot in the air, screams filling your ears, including your own.
"Y/n/n! Help! I hate this!" The blonde screams, squeezing onto your hand even tighter.
"Look at the view!" You yell back with a smile, taking in the view of the whole park from that height. You couldn't wait to see Tommy's face on the gopro footage later, his face was probably as red as cherries. "You're okay! Just don't throw up!"
"No, no, I don't wanna go down!" His voice echoes through the air, then his screams again as the ride plummets down.
Tubbo and Freddie laugh and scream, having the time of their life, which you share with them as the blonde in between you all is freaking out. However, on the next fling up, he seems calmer and now trusts that he's safe. His grip on your hand loosens a bit, and you smile as you can hear his screams of terror turn into screams of a happy thrill.
"Okay, this is cool!" He yells over the machine and screams of other passengers.
"You think so?" Tubbo yells, "Look, there's the others!" He points out in the distance, apparently seeing the group of your other friends across the park.
"Where are you even pointing?" Freddie questions, the end of his sentence turning into a yell as you plummet down again.
"Grow up, Freddie, you're fine!" Tommy yells jokingly, trying to keep air in his lungs.
"Shut up!"

'Elima.
"What the hell is this?" You ask, furrowing your eyebrows.
"Lunch!" Tommy answers, looking back down at the whole picnic setup in his backyard. "You said you were hungry"
"I meant like, we could go get food." You clarify, "I was just gonna come pick you up, and we could go somewhere."
He shrugs, "It's food" He smiles and jumps onto the blanket, waiting for you.
You lightly smile at his dorky grin and sit down with him, throwing some Jolly Ranchers at him, which you had stuffed in your pockets.
You eat in peace, sitting in his backyard underneath a tree. You end up full while he's still munching on some fruit and decide to make a little flower crown out of the yellow flowers that were scattered around the yard. You get to work on tying them together, wanting to give it to Tommy and take a picture. You wanted to post said picture on Twitter and caption it "2020 vibes" but we'll see how far that got.
He watches you as you work, having seen you walk about the yard and gather a large bouquet of the little yellow weeds. He spits out another cherry pit onto the grass behind him, munching on the rest of the juicy fruit.
"What're you doing?" He asks
"Flower crown. I'm gonna put it on you. The 2020 era is revisiting," You answer, weaving another flower into the rope. "It's gonna be amazing, I'm gonna trend on Twitter after this"
"Oh God, no."

"Last time I asked what something was, it was lunch in your backyard, but I don't think this is the same" You speak, an eyebrow slightly raised as you look at the drenched Tommy on your doorstep.
He holds a bouquet of flowers, which are being watered by the rain dripping from his flattened hair. He's completely soaked by the thunderstorm outside, making you wonder if he really walked all the way to your house in the middle of a storm. You internally pray that he took a bus.
"Yeah, uh, it's not" He nervously smiles. "I wanted to ask you out on a date, maybe"
You blink, still a little confused and now bewildered. You look down the street, seeing Molly, your mutual friend, sitting in her car, watching.
"Is this a prank or?.." You ask, glancing back to the car, letting Tommy know that you're aware that Molly drove him here.
"No, no, no! I- This is genuine. Seriously. It's fine if not, I just, like, have had a crush on you for a while, and it's making me all confused, and I just want it to go away." The blonde answers, watching you take the flowers from his hands.
"Well, what if I don't want it to go away?" You softly ask, looking back up at him.
His desperate look for rejection had turned to one of happiness, near disbelief even.
"What?"
"You heard me"
He glances at your lips for a moment before quickly kissing you, hands on your cheeks, before scurrying away. He sprints back towards the car, where you can see Molly cheering through the front windshield.
Tommy looks back, face red as ever, "Meet me at the pier tomorrow at three!"
You smile and shout back. "Okay!"
You lean against the door, watching him jump into the passengers seat and happily smile with Molly. You're unable to figure out what they're talking about, but you use your context clues to figure it was probably you.
Tommy realizes you're watching him, eyes slightly widened, lips shut like you could hear him. You wave goodbye and retrieve to the warmth of your home inside.
"I'm going on a date with Y/n!"
