y/n grew up in briar valley, and was destined to marry malleus, being another type of powerful fae, was raised to be betrothed to malleus, in fact.
y/n grew up in the castle, and at the very young age, it seemed they had their own agenda, and would not be one to follow destiny. Not that malleus cared too much. He wasent one to wish to be betrothed. And it didnt mean that they couldnt be friends. Throughout the centuries, they were often found sneaking off, to look at gargoyles, or they often would be found at creepy, or disturbing places in the forest, that they had lead malleus to see. It was clear that they were close, but more in the sibling department, not the way anyone was wishing.
Years down the line, lilia brought a human to the castle. And it seemed y/n took a liking to him. The other little boy running around the castle was a bit to loud for their liking, but this one seemed, so calm, and tired. When the boy got older, the two could be found in their free time, laying on the grass in the courtyard, cloud watching.
But soon after that, the human boy got whisked away to do different kinds of training, and y/n got put in a different kind of training. Some of the older people in the court, were set on destiny, and were going to make y/n corporate.
“You will be marrying prince malleus, y/n” theyd say, as they separated them from the people who would often distracted them, training them to be more quiet, and reserved. Not to run off, and to be more poised. And at first y/n wouldnt have it. But after about 2 years without seeing any of their friends, besides lilia, who would pop in despite the courts wishes, to inform them how the three were doing, they broke down more.
Soon they were much more poised, not as ruckus causing, and quieter. It was then they let them out more into the castle, and in their spare time during the year leading up to heading to nightraven, could be found sitting on a bench, watching the two children they watched grow up, training. Then what seemed like the blink of an eye for them. Malleus, lilia and y/n were off to night raven.
Malleus could tell their was a difference in their friend, but didnt say anything. Lilia would give them an easier time then anyone else.
Blink.
It was the next year, and one of the two boys that they had watched grow up joined them, and they were happy to see it was silver. They had insisted before leaving for night raven, knowing that the boys would be joining soon after, that the platinum haired human be their guard once he joined. Which the court agree’d, to keep y/n in their good graces, still hoping for them to be obedient. While having silver as a guard, they got to see how he grew up in their time away. They were highly shocked at how hed grown, not realizing it had been nearly 10 years. And being the eldritch fae they were, they could easily tell their was some sort of illness plaguing their dilligent guard, who over the years had grown more and more weary, more tired then when they were the wee thing they remembered.
When the human had gone to sleep, y/n could often be found pleading with lilia and malleus, very poised for the action, to help create a immortality potion. Lilia wasent against the idea, but malleus had seen no point in it. It wasent till their last year of staying at night raven, when the loud halfling had joined them, that malleus had agree’d, having apparently found a child of man he would wish to betroth, which had also relaxed y/n, making y/n not feel the need to be so reserved, but finding it hard to not be so poised. But they could often be found well into the night, working on the potion with malleus and lilia, while during the day, they spent more time with silver. Many found this action to be no more than y/n wanting to explore, and their guard diligently following, but they knew otherwise.
“You know, silver, i wasent born to be soft and quiet” the boy quirked up a eyebrow,. The two were sitting on the grass courtyard of the college, silver leaning back on his hands as he looked at the sky, y/n sitting with their ankles crossed, eyes trained on the sky as well, watching the clouds roll by. Silver glanced at the subject of their guarding.
“Well then, y/n. What were you born to be?”
“I was born to make the world shatter and shake at my fingertips, child of man. If you dont remember, i wasent always this calm and soft spoken” the statement got silvers attention, any drowsiness that would be seen in his eyes gone for the time being.
“So what made you this way now then?” y/n moved their gaze from the clouds the the silver haired human.
“The court. The one destined to be married to the prince of the briar valley was described to be an eldritch entity. A person beyond their knowledge. Being born as an eldritch fae, i was immediately cast into the role. But i wouldnt conform,” silver nodded, looking back at the sky.
“Well, conforming to peoples ideals isnt something you should have to do. And besides, now that malleus has found someone he would rather betroth, you should be free to do as you please.” y/n nodded. Looking back at the sky, watching as a cloud rolled by, before giggling and falling onto the grass, pointing to the cloud. Saying it looked like a very specific shape, that no one else would have seen. After the little talk they had, y/n was able to let go of all the training. Which made silver smile softly.
Boy help the campus, they were not ready for the attitude adjustment
Malleus welcomed it, glad to have them back. And y/n vowed to work harder then ever on the potion.
And within a few months, it was done. y/n was elated, and so was malleus. As malleus swiftly left, to meet his child of man, lilia had stopped y/n.
“So i figure i know, but why were you pushing so hard for us to make this?” y/n grinned a toothy grin. Before moving closer.
“May i give this to your son, lilia?”
“Why do you wish to?” this statement caught y/n slightly off guard, but they responded quickly.
“I can sense the illness that binds him, i wish to relieve him from the burden of such pain” lilia nodded swiftly.
“As you wish” as soon as the words were out of his mouth, y/n had left. They found silver, on the couch, where he had passed out about an hour before.
y/n tapped his knee softly, which woke the boy quickly, as they were the only one to wake him in such a way.
“Yes y/n, did you need something?” y/n outstretched their hand, showing him the vial.
“A vial of immortality, silver. “ silvers eyes widened softly.
“What-when-how did you make this?” his mind ran a faster than he had awaken, as he gingerly took it out of their hand, to inspect it.
“Me and malleus worked on it together.” silver nodded, trying to hand it back to y/n, who shook their head. “Its yours” silver raised an eyebrow.
“What do you mean? What about the ramshackle prefect that malleus is attached to?”
“He already took his portion to them. This was mine” silver tilted his head.
“Why?” was all he could say.
“I wish to rid you of the condition you live in. i want to see you as lively as you used to be” the human could not speak, before taking a deep breath, and looking straight into y/ns eyes, a thing that most didnt dare to do, only malleus and lilia having done so before.
“I will cherish what youve done for me forever.”
“And ill cherish a healthy lively, you for eternity”

Wow, i guess these were just good writing days. I can guarantee unless i get a request im likely not gonna be inspired to write more after this. (lets hope im wrong) thanks for reading. I take requests, for twisted wonderland, obey me!, mha, and a few other fandoms. Also realized for a story for silver, it doesn't seem to contain much of silver. Whoops.

A better pic of Lp’Norei, the Archfey patron I showed in my previous D&D piece. They’re a Seelie (Spring) member of the Fae Court who primarily watches over rabbits and springtime insects (so bees, butterflies, ladybugs, etc).

I love how the entrance to Rivendell is shown in the Hobbit movies– the path is clearly enchanted; the geography is wonky, and the passage only shows up when Thorin & co really need to escape danger.
I feel like this is just how Rivendell works– there are no set pathways in and out of the valley, strange corridors and hidden passages to it just show up when and where they're needed. People who have been to Rivendell before can usually find their way back pretty easily, but even they usually can't explain exactly how they got there. Only the residents of Rivendell can reliably lead others to the valley– and Galadriel, because she's Galadriel. It usually takes Gandalf a while to find the path. He's convinced Elrond just like messing with him.
This is very much Elrond channeling his inner Melian. Doriath was extremely hard to get into, but in the normal fairy way where you just get lost in the woods endlessly if you're not welcome, and the forest parts for you if you are. Elrond saw that and decided to spice things up a little for his realm. You know, some impossible rock formations, a few very strange trees, landscaping that is vaguely beyond mortal comprehension, all that.
Rivendell's residents think it's great. Most outsiders think it's a little creepy.

Dead tired 3/3
Tim introduces the Batfamily to his very-human-boyfriend! Nothing suspicious here! Not at all!
After his boyfriend‘s apartment gets destroyed in a rogue attack, the two of them end up living in Drake Manor. Due to Alfred, they come over very often and interact with the rest of the family all the time. Which means everyone has noticed how different Danny is.
(In which everyone believes Danny isn’t human but has differing theories on what he is, Tim enjoys causing chaos, Danny is oblivious, and Alfred is silently encouraging said chaos)

Prompt 178
So first of all he’d like to say it wasn’t his fault. He wasn’t into magic stuff, that was all Billy’s schtick. So really, it is not Victor’s fault that he accidentally activates some sort of sigil and suddenly ends up with a very confused looking child.
A young girl, maybe four or five, with bright red eyes, slightly pointed ears, and what looks to be some sort of living suit partially fused with her body. Alright, okay, he doesn’t have to freak out, he’ll just… call one of the Justice League Dark members and get her a spare shirt or something to wear until they come to the Watchtower!
It’s fine, he’s fine. He’s not having memories to when he first got melded with all of this tech that’s now a part of him and feeling sick at the idea of it happening to a child.
He’s not fine.

For @pics-and-fanfics who requested Fae!Dick 💚
I got way carried away with this one lol.
Anyway, looking at other creatures too long isn’t recommended. Catching even a glimpse can be… disconcerting.

Imagine you played with faries as a kid. You were close to them. They took care of you. You don't remember much about them, just them taking you places, and showing you magic, sometimes just for fun, sometimes things that would help you with your life. They would take you to the abandoned beach, to the underground, to temples nobody knew the name of anymore. They would tell you ancient secrets, and use their magic to help you because it amused you. It was freindly for awhile, at least under you grew up, and people got worried, you moved to a new apartment that was further inland, further from the shore, and slowly you drift away from them.
And now that you're an adult, you've been hearing about eldrich horrors in the same parts of the city. Dark things that must have taken over the places where the faries once lived. Things that are beyond time and space. Things people barely know about.
And because you knew the faries, because they protected you when you were small, you decide to go see the horrors. You know there are things out there protecting you.
And when you go to the abandoned beach, to the underground, to the forgotten temple, you see the same faries you always knew. You realize what the eldrich horrors are. You realize that those are the same things you played with as a child. The fungel being, the shimmering woman who almost looks human but doesn't, the massive insectoid creature with radiant wings, they're all the same creatures you always knew, faries to one eye, eldrich to another.
Adult eyes see things differently when they're not used to accepting things they don't yet know.

wait silver if renbob visits hels has he met the red king? and if so are they disastrous or iconic together
"Deliiiiivery! :D" Renbob calls in a sing-song voice, holding a stack of boxes in his arms. "RK, where you at my brother?"
He stands in the empty loading dock at the back of the Colosseum, smiling expectantly at the vacant bay. He likes hels. It's warm, and the people are interesting. It could stand to be a little more colorful, but not all pretty places are colorful. Like the beach for example! It's mostly just yellow and blue and hot, and it's still pretty.
(That's perfect actually! Hels makes him think of the beach: hot and monocolor, but somehow still interesting once you get past all the sand. Hah! Imagine a beach in hels! It'd be like a sauna, all steam and rocks.)
"RK I know you can hear me," Renbob calls again. "I can't hold these boxes all day! Well I can, but I will get bored you know?"
There is a grumbling, growling sound that comes from everywhere, but mostly the back of his head. It starts as several whispered and snarled words, and slowly coalesces into a string of coherent thought, "I don't answer to the name RK here, lad."
"My bad, must've gotten you mixed up with someone," Renbob chuckles. "Do you want your delivery?"
"Loading bay?"
"They won't let me park the van anywhere else, my brother. Oh! Please bring your favorite sword, if you don't mind? :)"
There is a cacophony of barks and growls as Red's presence slips out of the back of Renbob's mind. He wonders if Red knows that's the sound his thoughts make: an angry pack of wolves. They aren't kind wolves. They whisper a lot of unkind things when they trail after Red's thoughts. He wonders if that's why Red is always so nice to people: he's keeping the wolves from the door, so to speak.
Red strides into the loading bay, one hand on the wall as a guide until it ends in the open room. He steps confidently even when the wall is gone. The iron crown, sunk down low over his eyes, either doesn't hinder his sight, or he's memorized enough of the Colosseum that it doesn't bother him anymore.
"What sound do my thoughts make :O ?" Renbob asks. Red, who'd been walking a little too far to the left of him, twitches his big, wolf-like ears and realigns his path, meeting Renbob where he stands in front of his camper van.
"What sound do ye... Thoughts make?"
"Yeah, do they make like, sound? I always figured you'd hear a pleasant background of guitar and ukulele music."
Red tilted his in an expression that probably meant he was raising his eyebrows. It was hard to tell with the crown in the way. "Ye thoughts sound like yer voice. Though there do be a slight... Birdsong type noise."
"Is it chillaxin?"
"Aye sure."
"Groovy! :D" Renbob laughed. "I'll take it then! And like, you can take these."
He passes the stack of boxes to Red, who struggles a bit with their weight.
"What all have ye brought for me lad?" Red grunts, giving up on holding them all and setting them down. "All I asked for were some of those hot chips, and ye lemon squares."
"Oh it's just some bits and bobs, mostly," Renbob hums brightly, counting on his fingers. "There's a shulker of emerald and lapis (you said you were looking for a new color to go with all the red? :V those are opposite on the color wheel might be a good place to start! :) ), a shulker of flowers for dyes (all labeled. Are you color blind? I can't remember. Anyway I labeled the dye colors they make ^_^), three boxes of lemon squares (for you and your hand and a box for your Colosseum buddies! I'm sure they'd love some :D), two bags of spicy chippies, and I got you two bolts of fabric (your cloak is getting so torn up :( you've gotta take better care of your stuff brother!). Oh, and there's a few diamonds in there I nicked from Ren. (He won't miss 'em I promise ;) )."
Red tilted his head to the side, "How...? In the world...?"
"Hmm? :)"
"How do ye make...? With your voice...? Ye know what, it be unimportant," Red chuckled, a growling noise that fractured on the edges, a hint of the wolf-thoughts that leaked into real life. "Alas lad, I did not know ye would bring so much, else I would have had payment ready for such finery."
"Oh perish the thought, RK!" Renbob grinned, waving a dismissive hand. "You know you don't have to pay me!"
"Er... Red."
"That's what I said. :3"
"I see, ye be jesting?"
"Jest so!"
"Ah," Red smirked and leaned against the tower of boxes. "Ye said ye visited Ren. How fares our little brother?"
"He's older than both of us Red!"
"Aye, but he also be shorter than both of us."
Renbob laughed, bright and hearty, and for a moment, sunshine flickered in the Colosseum. Flowers bloomed around Renbob's feet. "Right you are, brother! Though I think he might be taller than me if I took my platforms off."
"Aye, but I see no universe where ye be making that particular wardrobe choice."
"I dunno. I was thinking about going to the beach after this. Do you guys have beaches in hels?"
"Aye, if you fancy soul sand by the lava lake."
"Oh man, I haven't taken a good lava bath in awhile!"
"Ye do love those an uncanny amount."
"It's exfoliating!"
"Makes me smell like burning hair."
"Well, to like, really enjoy it you have to get past the-- wait! You asked me a question?"
"Our little brother."
"Right! Ren's doing well! Gave him a ride over to his new season with his boyfriend."
Red, who had found one of the boxes of lemon squares during the conversation, coughed out a bite of lemon. "Begging your pardon?"
"You know, those go down a lot better with milk. I think hels dries them out a little. :("
"Ren has a boyfriend?!"
"Oh! Yeah, mister Docm77," Renbob beamed. "I don't think they've made it like, Facebook official yet, but they sure were making a lot of plans together for next season!"
Red sighed out a breath of relief, holding a hand to his chest. "Ye be jesting again."
"Mostly. :)"
"Well, when this great Book of Faces writes their names side by side, ye let me know."
"Certainly!" Renbob crossed his arms behind his back. "Oh, hey, before I go, like, could I ask you a huge favor?"
"Aye, lad?"
"I need a sword. Gonna be hopping to some dangerous orbits soon I think, and like, I'm real peace love and plants and all, so I can't make my own. But I can accept a gift, if you catch my drift?"
"Ah, suddenly all the gifts make sense," Red hums. He reaches down to his sword belt and unbuckles it, passing it off to Renbob, sword, scabbard and all. "Must ye take my most precious one?"
"You know how I work, Red. Only gifts given with love," Renbob grinned. It was a little sharper than it needed to be. Red couldn't see all the teeth. But it was nice to smile wide sometimes. "I do really appreciate it, my brother."
"Of course." Red smiled back, also showing a few too many teeth. Renbob felt a swelling of fondness for Ren's helsmet.
(It really was nice to be with kin sometimes, the people you could really be yourself with. Red didn't think he was unsettling, or fae-like. Red didn't go making a big deal about how widely he smiled, or how much he changed when his whims stretched him around. Red didn't begrudge the odd little pacts and rules he had to follow.)
"Well I'll like, catch you on the flipside brother!" Renbob said cheerfully. "Don't die while I'm gone, ya dig? :)"
"Don't go being any stranger," Red returned, picking up a box to carry back to his rooms. He would need help carrying them all.

The Yanderes of the Autumn Court
(Fall has finally 'fallen' haha, and I couldn't resist writing this. I'd say this is based on fairies, but I love cosmic horror too much to not add a wee bit of it...so I named them Alterkinder or Alterkind for singular (lit just German for 'Older Children' smh 😞) because this is my bastardized version of them.
To avoid the overuse of this made up word, I also call them the Fallen, the Autumn Court, autumn fae, or the Wither. If I say 'Yandere' specifically, I'm referring to the Yandere. Though it might seem like it, not all fair folk are lovesick in this world of mine, so the yanderes are one of a kind even compared to their fellow eldritch abominations.
Enjoy this cosmic fairy shit, loves.)
Content: original worldbuilding, stalking as courtship, unintentional cannibalism, kidnapping, necrophilia, eldritch monsters and their own version of love. Took inspirations from Hades and Persephone, but besides the kidnapping scene, nothing else.
༺═─────────────────═༻
The Autumn Court.
Once the greatest of the Alterkinder, they bear scars from wars of ages past.
Nowadays, they are merely remembered as the Fallen, the Shadows of What Was. They were left to rot in the realm of ambers and russets, where the earth is too coarse and barren to grow much of anything.
As a result, the Fallen pride themselves on being resilient, persistent even at the face of hardship and humiliation.
Which is why for you, their mortal pet, it means rejection will never be an option.
Harvest Season
As patron deities of harvests and hunts, the Fallen treat courtship the same way a hunter would a promising prey. It's all a game to some of them. Whereas we mortals have dating rituals, the Autumn Court have what they call 'the Harvesting'.
Elder Fallen will know the season is coming before it even hits them. They will feel it in the breeze flowing through their hair, feel it in the slightest drop in temperature, or in the smallest change to their physiology.
The younger, inexperienced Fallen tend to fall victim to their basest instincts.
Should you find yourself the target of a Fallen's affection, and a Yandere one at that, just know that you will have until winter to dissuade them. Before the first snowfall, they can court you without interference from any other spirits besides those from their own court, so take advantage of it.
I wouldn't get your hopes up though. You'll realize the further more you read this what I mean by 'persistent'.
Finders, Keepers
It is a tradition in the Autumn Court that a fae must brand their chosen prey to prevent any conflict.
At this point, they will not show themselves to their chosen mortal just yet. Reasons vary, but for a Yandere, it's typically because their first priority is to let all the others know that you are theirs and theirs alone. They know just how heated territorial disputes within their court can get, and they'd rather keep you out of it as much as possible.
Though this tradition was founded to prevent any two autumn fae from fighting over the same prey, it isn't always respected. If the Yandere themselves haven't disregarded the brand of their fellow kin, then they are ensuring that nobody else would do the same. Realistically, that is impossible, but some of the more powerful members of the court could absolutely decimate anyone they think covets their pet.
From death by a thousand thorns to being mauled to shreds by their most vicious familiars, but I'll speak of their cruelties later.
How a Fallen chooses to brand their Darling is up to individual preferences.
Among the Headless Riders, their favourite method is to douse their target with their blood. Their human can scrub themselves clean, but little do they know, enough of it will still linger for any fae to notice.
Some are less dramatic and opt for something simpler, like runes and insignias.
I don't know about you, but the lack of blood make it a little less romantic...but that's just my opinion.
Pumpkin Spice and Apple Pies
After they have secured their ownership, this is when the true courtship begins.
Some Elder Fallen may still remember the magic of the Old Summers. They cannot stop the inevitable march of winter, but the chill won't drop any lower than is comfortable for a while just so they could see you wearing your favourite sweaters. Anythig to prevent you from wearing too many layers.
Some could even bless your lands with fertility to ensure a plentiful harvest for the local farmers in your area, or make it drizzle everyday should they see how much you like how it sounds against your windows.
But what can a young Fallen do when he doesn't have much power or prestige to his name?
A feast.
It isn't official, but any Fallen worth their salt must show they are capable providers. The Autumn Court as a whole not only finds pride in being survivors, but in thriving where their enemies thought they will perish.
Roast meat, your favourite desserts, and fruits you cannot name will all be beautifully arranged on your table regardless of how small it is.
But never ask what the meat is from. Don't ask what these fruits are either. The apples' flesh is red, bleeding, for a reason. You wouldn't want to know why.
The feast is simply a symbol of their dedication to you. The Yandere hopes that by showing you the fruits of their labour, you will believe them when they promise that you will never feel fear or hunger ever again.
Just let them take care of you.
The Reaping
At last, fall is coming to an end, and the Fallen are beginning to feel the approach of winter. The time has come for them to choose whether or not they want to keep you.
The Reaping is the last stage, and it is perhaps the most scariest thing the Yandere can do to you during the Harvesting.
This is because for many mortals, they wouldn't even see their suitor until this stage in the Harvesting. It's not like they could have known that the owl, falcon, cat, mountain lion, and fox that they have been encountering was just their secret admirer in disguise.
And as the wise of old said: "The longer the wait, the sweeter the fruit."
Knowing this, the Yandere would certainly abstain from talking to you just to keep the Reaping special.
It would be the first time they'll hear your voice directly being spoken to them, and only them.
It would be the first they'll feel the warmth of your skin and supple flesh, take in your scent and taste.
At last, they have you all entirely to themselves.
It all seems romantic...for the Alterkind. But for you, the first meeting is nothing less than a kidnapping.
Imagine the earth shaking out of nowhere. When you thought it was only an earthquake, the ground quite literally parts in half, and a great hole forms before you. Just as you try to even make sense of it, a great black steed leaps out. Its rider--of course it has a rider. It won't be able to wear the most noblest of accruements otherwise--simply whisks you away, back to which he came from. Your screams of terror will be ignored.
Every Fallen has their own unique love story, but if there is one thing common in all of them, it is that none of the brides were willing.
Zealous Protectors
Their defeat at the hands of the Summer Court and Spring Court had heightened something that every Alterkind has: possessiveness.
For one thing, having their home realm taken from them has made them deeply paranoid. Being stripped of all their wealth and power was like rubbing salt on their wounds.
As such, the Alterkind of the Autumn Court learned to be wary of anyone who so much as look at their possessions wrong.
The average Fallen are zealous in their guardian duties. Elder Fallen especially are known for taking their vows of protection seriously. After all, the memory of what they've lost is still fresh in their mind.
So optimistically, your devoted Alterkind was born several generations after that fateful war, but don't expect much improvement.
One of the most cruelest deaths whispered within the Court came from someone even they least expected.
There was once a prince of a quiet nature. Though far from a pacifist, his temper was not as tempestuous as the winter blizzard or thunderstorms of spring. He planted thorn berries within the belly of a spring fae, nurtured it until they grew out of her bleeding mouth and tore her stomach open.
All of this because she regarded his beloved mortal for longer than what he allowed.
Possessiveness runs deep in the veins of the Alterkinder, be they of autumn, winter, spring, or summer.
But you must know, the culture of the Fallen was built from humiliation, the detritus of their golden age act as its foundation. It nurtured them to become what they are now:
Jealous.
Possessive.
Vindictive.
Like Leaves in Fall
Ironically, the court that finds virtue in change and transition have some of the most...'inflexible' members.
You might think concepts often associated with autumn like decay and inevitability would make them more accepting of death, but alas. Once in a blue moon, you will hear tragic tales exemplifying just how much lower the Fallen Kinder could fall.
The Lovesick of the Autumn Court are just that; patron spirits of rot and inevitable death, unable to accept that even something immaterial and abstract like love can be taken from them.
They themselves can decay. It isn't unheard of for an autumn kind to slowly devolve into the very thing they are masters of. Their skin dries and peels like dried bark as their joints and bones go brittle.
They can grow lonesome.
It may hold onto the rotting corpse, too broken to acknowledge the maggots infesting its sludgy flesh, and imagine movements. In desperate hope, their decayed heart will jump as they think, "They're alive! They're waking up! I don't have to be cold and alone anymore!"
But once the Kind realize they were wrong, the grieving process starts anew, and they hurt all over again.
Their entirety withers. Their thoughts and memories may drift away. Their grasp on reality becomes just as lost as fluttering leaves.
'Reality.'
Where you truly ever theirs to begin with?
.
.
.
The Fallen Fae becomes bitter. Cold.
This cold bitterness grows and grows until it turns into something all-consuming. It will destroying whatever kindle was left in their heart, making it impossible for them to feel the warmth of love or hope ever again.
And so...they hold onto their Darling. A hollow shell of what their love once was.
In the shadows of the past.
Mind scattered in the wind like fallen leaves.
.
.
.
Ivies grow here.
In this cold dungeon of old.
Hush, for you will miss it.
The crying of the Withered.

You guys have no idea how badly I need Aguefort x Lapin to be canon. Not only do we need more Lapin content, not only is it incredibly funny for Arthur Aguefort to have multiple magical animal paramours across time and space, I need Fig and Ayda to bond over their parent's utterly insane polycules. I need Ayda to stiffly introduce Lapin as her step-father. I need him hanging out at the Compass Points and awkwardly trying to bond with his boyfriend's daughter because Aguefort may be barred from having any contact with Ayda but his hookup from another timeline isn't. I need Lapin to transfer all of his honed sinister advisor skills and experience as a babysitter of willfull princesses to being a Weird Uncle. I need Fig and Aydas' "Yeah my estranged dad showed up again in my life and now I have a weird stepdad as well" emotional bonding and discussion. I need for at their wedding the first row of seats is entirely taken up by all five Fathers Of The Bride.

Rivendell is absolutely beautiful at night. Elves don't need much rest, and Rivendell's resident orcs prefer to be out when the sun is down, so the valley never really sleeps. Glowing plants and mushrooms line pathways, carving multicolored trails across fields and forests. (The mushrooms are mostly Elrond's fault– you can't give an eldritch half-elf a valley and not expect them to grow all manner of strange and wonderful things there) Swarms of fireflies fill the air, set against a backdrop of shimmering stars. People laugh, and talk, and dance until the dawn breaks. Elves and orcs sing together under the full moon. Shadows twist and spin in the light of stained-glass lamps. Strange and beautiful music is heard through the valley, though no one is quite sure where it comes from. It's no wonder that many who wander into Rivendell choose to never leave. It's also no wonder that many refer to it as a fairy kingdom and fear the strange and wonderful things that happen there.

Ethoslab and LDShadowLady are the same species.
They aren’t but they are.
He is Void and she is Shadow. Little fragments of the primordial universe given sentience and a name and a Player form.
