Nolin Color Theory Pt. 4

— Folge 1056 von beiden Seiten

Eine Orange im Regenmantel (1056):

An Colins letzten Tag am Einstein sehen wir ihn in einem ziemlich bunten Outfit. In erster Linie lässt sich das auch ganz gut damit verbinden, dass er zu Julia fährt, denn Julia ist ja auch irgendwie für ihre farbenfrohe Kleidung bekannt und nach Colins ganzer Misere bis hierher hat er nun endlich wieder etwas, auf das er sich freuen kann. Orange steht in der Symbolik auch für Optimismus und Glück. Obwohl Colin schweren Herzens das Einstein verlässt, tut er dies mit dem Optimismus, dass es ihm in Köln eventuell bald wieder besser gehen wird. 

(little fact: Die Orangen Frucht steht symbolisch wohl für ferne Ziele, sowie für Erneuerung und Wiedergeburt - also: Colin kann in Köln einen Neuanfang starten) 

Warum die Regenmäntel?

Vielleicht gehts nur mir so, aber ich habe auf jeden Fall keinen Regen in dieser Szene erkannt, also gabs eigentlich auch keinen Grund für die Regenmäntel, aber da sie dennoch da sind, können wir sie ja immerhin analysieren. 

Colin trägt über seiner optimistischen Kleidung einen blauen Regenmantel, als er die Treppe runter geht und sich von allen verabschieden muss. Denn dafür steht Blau nämlich auch; für den Abschied und die Trauer, welcher dieser mit sich bringt. Trotz Optimismus und baldigem Neubeginn muss Colin nämlich immerhin noch einiges hinter sich lassen. (Seine Freunde, Noah, etc..) 

Doch Colin ist nicht der einzige im Regenmantel! Denn wir sehen eine Menge an Charakteren in verschiedenen farbigen Mänteln und dabei ist es ganz egal, welcher Charakter welche Farbe trägt, denn es geht um die Farben im Generellen. 

Folgende Farben der Regenmäntel: ein ruhiges Blau, ein sehr tiefes Rot und ein intensives Pink. 

Lemme just:

Noah sucht Ruhe und Gelassenheit bei Colin in Blau. Colin küsst Noah in rot. Noah und Colin starren die Wand an in Blau, Pink und Lila.

Noah selbst verabschiedet sich nicht von Colin, doch wohl die intensivsten Erinnerungen, die mit ihm verbunden sind, übernehmen das für ihn. 

(Another fact: Blau, Rot und Weiß stehen nebeneinander gegenüber von Pink. Bei der Mischung von Blau, Rot und Weiß sollte sich ungefähr Pink ergeben. Pink steht für Liebe und Romantik, beides Dinge, die Colins Zeit am Einstein, sowohl mit Noah, als auch damals mit Julia ausgemacht haben.) 

Noah and that one sweater he always wears in important happy scenes with that one guy he definitely isn't in love with (1056):

Es ist Colins letzter Tag und Noah scheint das absolut nicht zu interessieren und trotzdem zieht er welchen Pulli an? Genau. Den Pulli den wir das erste Mal in 1035, als Noah sich das erste Mal zu Colin ans Bett setzt und ihn fragt, ob sie denn doch noch einen Film zusammen schauen wollen. Es ist auch der Pulli, den Noah anhat, während die beiden gemeinsam die Wand anstarren. 

Es ist also ein Pulli, den wir relativ oft in Verbindung zu schönen Momenten mit Colin gesehen haben, und jetzt trägt Noah ihn an dessen letztem Tag? Zufall? I doubt it. 

Es ist dieser Pulli, in dem sich Noah später in Colins Bett legt und weint, weil er soeben seinen besten Freund verloren hat und er es noch nicht einmal über sich gebracht hat, sich von ihm zu verabschieden. 

Der Pulli, der zu Beginn ihrer Freundschaft getragen wurde, wird nun am Ende dieser wieder einmal getragen. Und obwohl er mit den besten Momenten zwischen den beiden verbunden ist, wird er nun wohl im traurigsten gesehen.

Die Verbindung beider Farben und Szenen:

Colin bereitet sich auf einen Neuanfang vor, Noah denkt an die Vergangenheit. Colin ist jetzt vermutlich endlich bereit loszulassen, hat endlich verstanden, dass Noah wohl doch nichts von ihm will und selbst wenn, würde er das sowieso nie zugeben. 

Noah hingegen vermisst den einzigen Freund, den er bis dahin am Einstein hatte. Er vermisst, was auch immer da zwischen ihm und Colin war. Noah hält fest, Colin lässt los.

Actually wait, now that I think about it, why does lolbit even exist?

They're the only fnaf world animatronic to be directly ported over to the main games--except for Old man consequences ig. Lolbit appears in Freddy In Space 2 as a non-robotic character, appearing as a minor Easter Egg from the main game (Sister Location) but also appears in the Custom Night of that game as a customizable character. Not only this, but they also appear in UCN. But they're clearly a meme who's only purpose is to say lol. Thinking about this logically, this is a character that is in exactly two places of prominence to William Afton, his workshop under the guise of Afton Robotics, and Williams Personal hell. Of course, based on the design in Sister location, Help wanted, and UCN; Lolbit is clearly that of Williams design, as it is a clear recoloring of Funtime Foxy. What for you might ask, for the LOLS of course! But this is also important as it is Lolbit's existence is actually supported by at least two characters, Wiliam Afton, and Cassidy. You see, because Cassidy is apart of the remnant soup in Molten Freddy, Cassidy was likely to have seen Lolbit themselves. All of the animatronics in UNC are only those that Cassidy has seen, and since the murders happened very close to the restaurants opening, it would make sense. Even if you wanted to say that there's no way for Cassidy to know about animatronics like the Misfit Melodies, they could have learned via connection to the other five dead children that were apart of Molten Freddy. A better explanation than that would be that William and Cassidy's remnant got mixed together in the fire at Pizzeria Sim, which would how they would get into Williams mind in the first place for UCN to happen--this of course means that the whole reason William is still kicking in Security Breach is because Cassidy was keeping William alive, soul at least, in order to torture him, but that's beside the point. Anyways, the fact that Lolbit is in Williams mind at all even if it is in the very back--as implied by only being there when Deedee summons them, it should imply that much, but I don't think a full explanation of how UCN reflecting Williams psyche is important here, so I'll continue--it shows that Lolbit is indeed a cannon creation in the main games timeline. Created by William Afton no less. What does this mean you ask? William Afton is a redditor. He is a meme lord. To be very accurate, he was an absolute fucking clown on his joker arc. He was crusty before the 30 years of dust, must, and mold. @glitchysquidd this is your mans.

There is this group of galaxies in the universe which looks eerily similar to the Cheshire Cat. The cluster is very important - it is a brilliant manifestation of Einstein's theory.

The galaxies SDSSCGB 8842.3 and SDSSCGB 8842.4 are the two eyes of the Cheshire cat. The smile is a result of something called gravitational lensing. The light has been bent and stretched by the large amounts of mass contained in the foreground galaxies.

This might not be the best explanation for gravitational lensing but I hope it gets the point across.

A few days ago I watched "Einstein and Eddington", in the midst of my Tennaissance. I'm glad I discovered this film, it's really beautiful and definitely my kind.

Well, first of all I jokingly asked myself if David will ever play a non-queer charachter (actually I've already seen Broadchurch), even though I love him also for that ♡

But most importantly, I've started doing some research about sir Arthur Eddington. I did rember coming across his name during the astronomy course, but I realized that he is not as famous as he sould be, considering the discoveries he made. Thanks to his studies he helped confirm the theory of relativity, to name one.

And then I found a poem written in his memory, so touching and beautiful. I searched the author and...it's been written by Neil Gaiman! I leave here the text. There are actually two of them, the second one about his personal life and the rumors according to which he had a relationship with another man (I say rumors because I couldn't find evidences, even though their social and religious context would have make it difficult even talk about the situation, maybe hence the lack of proof):

IN TRANSIT (for Arthur Eddington) by Neil Gaiman

Somewhen a boy is counting stars. Somewhen a man is photographing light. Somewhen his finger strokes the stubble on another’s cheek, and for a moment everything is relative.

This seems to be a reference to Lorentz transformations? The first formula is apparently a derivation, and seems to be the inverse of the time part of the transformation (there's a space part too), for what I've been able to find.

The second formula is Newton's second law.

#I don't know physics so I've had to read about Lorentz transformations and I'm still unsure because I lack a lot of context #But it seems extremely interesting #It all seems to work so well with everything else Ratio has going on. The needed reference frame works well with his line in his ultimate #It seems the framework are usually cartesian coordinates? Nolin Color Theory Pt. 1

Can the clothes a character is told to wear uncover the hidden feelings he has in his homoromantic friendship with that one guy he just wants to have a soda with?

Oder auch: Wilkommen zur Nolin Color Theory

Schloß Einstein mag zwar eine Kinderserie sein, und damit auch ein wenig eindimensional im Bezug auf Symbolik und versteckte Bedeutungen, aber das heißt ja nicht gleich, dass es sie gar nicht gibt... oder zumindest, dass man sie sich nicht einfach wild herleiten kann. (wie ich das jetzt scheinbar tun werde. Viel Spaß)

also disclaimer: Ich bin kein Farb, Film oder Licht Experte, ich hab lediglich in meiner Langeweile Google benutzt und mir zu viele Gedanken gemacht...

Die erste Begegnung (1027): 

Sowohl Colin, als auch Noah tragen hier überwiegend schwarz. Noah wird uns direkt zu Beginn als mysteriös und eher distant anderen gegenüber vorgestellt, was sich auch für die ersten paar Folgen nicht ändert und auch in diesen Folgen bleibt seine Kleidung eher dunkel. 

Schwarz steht auch für Ungewiss und Unbekannt. Colin und Noah haben sich gerade erstmal kennengelernt und obwohl von Colins Seite schon irgendwo das Bedürfnis besteht, sich näher kennenzulernen, ist dies am Anfang auch eher ein wenig gezwungen. Durch Noahs eher schroffe Art und seine Ablehnung seine Mitbewohner kennenzulernen, bildet sich ein eher negatives Bild von seinem Charakter, was uns zu einem weiteren Symbol führt: Missverständnis. 

Dass Colin und Noah sich missverstehen ist sehr offensichtlich, aber eben diese Stimmung wird beidseitig direkt zu Beginn vermittelt. (Denn wie gesagt, beide tragen überwiegend schwarz.) Noah denkt nämlich zunächst eher abwegig von Colin und will nicht wirklich etwas mit ihm zu tun haben, was sich ja dann ziemlich schnell ändert, als Colin sich Freddie anvertraut und anbietet, Noah zu helfen.

Der erste Kontakt und Freddie (1032): 

Die Szene, in der Colin und Noah sich das erste Mal berühren passiert, nachdem wir von Freddie wissen und zumindest eins der Missverständnisse aufgeklärt wird. Der Kontrast von grün und grau ist schon noch dunkel, aber eben ein wenig heller als zu Beginn; die Stimmung ist lockerer. 

Noah zuerst: Da das grün seines Shirts eher dunkler und verwaschener ist, gehen wir von einem negativen Effekt aus. Hier steht grün vor allem für den Akt des Verurteilens. Noah ist sich immer noch nicht sicher, ob er Colin und Joel mit dem Geheimnis um Freddie vertrauen kann. 

Dies wird durch Colins Berührung aber gedeckt. Denn grau steht in seinen Emotionen für Ernsthaftigkeit und Sicherheit. In dem er also Noah davon abhält Joel wegen Freddie anzugehen, versichert er ihm, dass er bemerkt, wie wichtig Freddie für Noah ist und das sein Geheimnis bei ihm sicher ist. 

(auch hier wichtig zu wissen: grau zählt als neutraler Faktor und Colin steht literally neutral in der Mitte von Joel und Noah und versucht sie davon abzuhalten, sich zu bekämpfen) 

Konversationen im Bett gegenüber (1034): 

Zwei Folgen später sehen wir die selben Farben erneut, als die beiden sich abends in ihren jeweiligen Betten unterhalten und Colin wieder anbietet, Noah mit Freddie zu helfen. 

Um hier auch auf das Licht einzugehen: Wir kriegen eine Szene aus dem gleichen Raum, doch Colins Seite ist etwas heller beleuchtet und auch sein ganzer Körper ist vom Licht getroffen. Bei Noah ist es hauptsächlich nur die linke Seite die vom Licht umgeben ist, eventuell also ein Zeichen dafür, dass während Colin ein sehr hoffnungsvoller Charakter ist und seine Konversation mit Noah als großen Erfolg in Sachen Freundschaft sieht, ist Noah hingegen noch etwas unstimmig, wird aber immerhin schon ein wenig von dem selben Licht beeinflusst, was auch auf Colin fällt. 

Ein Hund entflieht und Freundschaften enden bevor sie begannen (1035): 

Nachdem Freddie weggelaufen ist, ist Noah sauer auf Colin und trägt in dieser Folge die meiste Zeit schwarz und dunkelblau. Er ist traurig, dass das einzige, was ihn wirklich glücklich zu machen scheint, nun genommen wurde und das dank seines eigentlich neuen Freundes. Dunkelblau ist ein Symbol für Zerbrechlichkeit, Trauer und Schmerz. Alles Emotionen, die bei Noah klar wieder auffindbar sind. 

Und so auch, als Colin versucht, sich zu entschuldigen. 

Auf Noahs Schmerz reagiert Colin mit Einfühlsamkeit und Verständnis. Die pfirsich-artige Farbe seiner Jacke steht für Empathie gegenüber Noahs Gefühlen, (I mean he literally gets tickets to a horror movie even tho he doesn’t like horror movies-) Aber auch er leidet, was man daran sieht, dass die auffallendste Farbe seines bunten Shirts ebenfalls ein dunkles blau ist. Er hat auch gerade einen Freund verloren. 

Die Versöhnung und eine Farb Kombi, die offensichtlicher nicht sein könnte (1035): 

Nachdem Noah von Herr Chung wiederkommt, der gerade angeboten hat Freddie zu behalten und auch so eine gute Lösung für Noah gefunden hat, begegnen wir aufeinmal einem sehr farbenfrohen Noah, der sich auf direktem Wege zu Colin macht. 

Da sich Meinungen unterscheiden werden, um welche Farben es sich in Noahs Pulli genau handelt, beziehen wir uns einfach auf ihre Intensität. 

Seine positive Stimmung wird durch den langsamen Kontrast zwischen hellen und dunklen Farben, aber auch intensiven und weniger intensiven Farben gezeigt. Man könnte also davon ausgehen, dass Noahs Gefühle all over the place sind in diesem Moment. Zum einen ist er glücklich, dass Freddie ihm erhalten bleibt, auf der anderen Seite steht er aber kurz vor einem ernsteren Gespräch mit Colin. 

Die verschiedenen Farben seines Pullis stehen unter anderem für Empfindlichkeit und Wahrheit. Der Charakter, der es nicht wirklich zu mögen scheint, seine Gefühle zu offenbaren, setzt sich zu Colin ans Bett und legt ihm nahe, dass es ihm leid tut und gibt dabei auch preis, wie empfindlich die Sache mit Freddie doch für ihn ist.

Warum dieser Pulli meiner Meinung nach die beste Darstellung Noahs ganzer Figur beschreibt: 

Der Pulli ist im Allgemeinen ein sehr gutes Beispiel für die Beziehung zwischen Colin und Noah aus Noahs Perspektive. Wir sehen ihn in der Szene, in der wir auch das erste Mal mitbekommen, dass Colin ein ebenso wichtiger Mensch für Noah ist, als andersherum. Sonst hätte Noah wahrscheinlich nie die Tickets aufgehoben, sie zusammen geklebt und sich damit mehr oder weniger entschuldigt. 

Der größte Teil von Noah ist übernommen von dieser sehr intensiven dunklen Farbe, welche entweder für Fragilität (blau) oder Emotionalität (lila) stehen könnte. Er ist ein sehr in sich gekehrter Charakter, über den man zwei verschiedene Seiten erfährt. 

Zum einen das verblassende Violet; wir erfahren nie wirklich etwas über Noah an sich, immer nur in Beziehung zu den Menschen um ihn herum, er selbst erscheint uns unvorhersehbar. 

Auf der anderen Seite dominiert ein kräftiges Pink (pink-lila?), denn das was wir sehen, ist ein sehr passionierter Mensch, der sich um das was ihm lieb ist sorgt und seine Hilfe anderen gibt, auch ohne dass sie danach gefragt haben. 

Das Problem mit den Gefühlen (1037):

Colin, in all seiner bunten Farbe, lädt Noah dazu ein, noch einen Film mit ihm zu schauen, und Noah, der mal wieder hauptsächlich schwarz trägt, blockt dies ab und zeigt uns eine etwas merkwürdige Reaktion. Vielleicht steht das plötzliche schwarz ja hier für Noahs Gefühlschaos in ihm drinnen, mit dem er nicht ganz so weiß umzugehen. 

All das passiert, während Colin seine dreckige Wäsche mit Noah zusammen aufsammelt und diese Wäsche besteht aus hellen sowie dunklen Farbe, also eventuell ein Zeichen dafür, dass Colin seine Gefühle mit der Einladung mehr oder wenig offen freigibt?

(may i also add: In derselben Episode dreht Noah einen Film für Colin, in dem eine Figur vor ihren Gefühlen weg läuft in einer Welt, die nur so triezt vor Farben…) 

Lean your head on my shoulder (1042):

Die ganze Episode schauen wir Noah und Colin dabei zu, wie sie verzweifelt versuchen, eine Rolle für den Film zu finden. Die beiden tragen dabei eher trostlosere Farben, was sich aber dann zum Ende plötzlich ändert. 

Hier teilen sich die beiden nämlich dieselbe Farbpalette, während sie sich auch näher sind als zuvor. Noah legt aus Frustration seinen Kopf an Colin, während er umgeben ist von hellblauen Farbtönen, einer Farbe der Ruhe und des Friedens.
