I guess they'd consider themselves close, but it keeps flipping between being platonic and romantic, think back to what they had in season 1

These words escape Katsuki, grating in his throat, tasting like blood, iron, smoke, and fire. And his heart thumps in his ears, these tiny explosions remind him of the life he took, of the exchange, sacrifice, a life for a life, a heart for a heart. His body won't ever truly belong to him anymore, but he learned to deal with that, to drown the pulse with explosions of his own.

That only made him trust himself less, his fingers trembling to hold your hand, too afraid of hurting you, too afraid of scaring you. He isn't anything but a bomb with a broken timer, he himself doesn't know when he's going to blow, his fuse diffusing, slipping from his fingers, catching fire due to every little thing.

So he turns away, runs from the problem for the first time in his miserable life, he can't even bring himself to take your hand in his, as much as he wants to dip his thumb between your knuckles, enjoying your skin against his worn callouses. But he never could have indulged like that, never could have just touched you like he wanted, like he desired. Because who is he going to be if he hurts you? Nothing but a liability, nothing but empty anger, only truly filled with fear, with guilt.

And he's right, he's broken. Nothing about him has been right, he's a messed up patchwork, with pieces not belonging to him, with the wrong pieces, the seams fraying, and there's nothing holding him, nothing saving him.

"So what? I'm gonna spend the rest of my life putting you back together." You shrug, taking his hands in yours, calm fingers against trembling ones, dipping between his knuckles, swiping over the delicate skin.

He can't help himself, he puts your hands against his forehead, hiding his face, appreciating the soft love on his face. The echo of the heart inside his chest accepts this prayer, quieting down, replacing the explosions inside his veins with tranquility, with snow and water.

If he can't take your hands in his, then you may have to take his, to appreciate his callouses against your soft skin. And maybe, maybe everything can be alright, maybe you can simply rework the seams holding him, fixing him, making a beautiful tapestry out of his soul.

I headcannon that after 3rd Kinslaying, and especially after Elrond and Elros left them in whatever fashion, Maedhros was a total dick to Maglor.

You know how sometimes old or sick people are nice to neighbours/nurses/strangers, but are horrible to their primal caretakers? That's them.

People aren't dicks to their caretakers just to be dicks - it's because they are often frustrated with themselves or their situation and don't know how else to deal with it or they can't deal with it the usual way. It also happens because, paradoxally, they feel safe around their caretakers - you can be a dick because you know they won't leave just because of that.

And boy, did Maglor cast himself in a role of caretaker (let's not kid ourselves, he wasn't qualified, and with his own problems to boot), and BOY, did Maedhros resent him for it. He did not NEED help, he did not DESERVE help, he's not another kidnapped child MAGLOR, I'M the older brother, I should take care of YOU YOU WRECK, WHY DO I ALWAYS HAVE TO BABYSIT YOU GROW UP ALREADY and leave me Nothing is EVER your fault, even when you left me to Angband as you should Why would you care now, it amounted to NOTHING before, it's WORTHLESS

And about half the time Maglor just takes it, actually likes it even. Mostly because of his guilt complex about how he deserves it, but also because Maedhros is only like this with him - he's trying his best to pretend to be fine and be a leader to few followers they have left, because they deserve better and that's the only thing he can give them now, and their brothers are all dead and would always be Too Little to act like that around them anyway. Maedhros would behave himself even around Fingon, to make him think rescuing him was worth something. So by being a dick to Maglor, Meadhros sees him as an equal, a safe haven. Maglor basks in that.

But obviously no one could just take such abuse like it's nothing, and Maglor is a Feanorian too, is prideful and stubborn, with his own laundry list of complains about Maedhros, and also unwell, and also thought of a new insult while lying awake at night and just wants to yell too. So half the time Maglor yells back and their yelling matches would bring orcs to tears, with hate and blame dripping from every word. I don't have enough imagination to picture it realistically, and actually I don't want to, it's too heartbreaking.

And sometimes, one or the other just starts crying. They don't talk about these times.

After some time, their arguments and insults are just a noise, something to repeat endlessly to the point of boredom.

By then, what actually hurts are the words that were not meant to harm.

Example 1:

Maedhros: 'did an all-night inspection of their stores cause he couldn't sleep' I found a herb you always liked to wash your hair with.

Maglor: 'doesn't remember last time he washed his hair, no less scented them'

Maglor: 'choked up' Appreciated.

Example 2:

Maedhros: 'feels like he's dragging Maglor to damnation with him' You could go with the twins, you know.

Maglor: 'doesn't want to upset Maedhros today so decides to pretend as if that was actually an option' Vanyar would probably like my singing but you know they would get mad at you for having better battle plans than them.

Maedhros: 'now KNOWS he's dragging Maglor to damnation with him'

Maedhros: 'dying inside' Of course they would.

When love hurts, it's easier to be a dick.

Two of these are based on some reaction image doodles I ran into on Pinterest that I’m pretty certain originated on tumblr lol. The bottom left one says “*realization*” and the top right one says “deranged —>” with the arrow pointing to our Mr. Deranged in question, Simon. The Simon and Richter one is kinda poking fun at the general Smash Bros fandom depiction of them and is also based on a doodle I saw on Pinterest.

Bottom left says “he has 97 mental illnesses and is banned from most public spaces” lol. Dw! He is your friend! I just forgot to write that part :). I hope the tbh creature doodle is appreciated, I’ve drawn him like that more times than I’d like to admit—

This one is based on a photo of this guy (gotta be a Snapchat one idk I’ve never had Snapchat) with a monster energy and caption “KILL”. I think it fits the vibe.

Bottom left says “monsert!”, a silly bastardizarion of “monster”, again the energy drink. I feel like Simon would be the kind of guy to have caffeine at like 6PM and then wonder why he can’t sleep later lmao. Or worse have caffeine to avoid sleeping 💀. The other two doodles I drew because I woke up one morning and immediately imagined Simon with raccoon stripe hair for no reason.

This one is based on a tumblr post, it says “(Simon) the psychiatrist diagnosed me with divine madness” “(Christopher) any other diagnosises you’d like to share?” “(Simon) Autism”. That ending panel of Simon saying autism ended up a sticker in a discord server I’m in lmaooooo. Also I need to have more Simon and Christopher interactions cause I think they’d be friends aaaaa

The top doodle is based on a Simon MMD model I found of him as a Vocaloid and I thought that was hilarious and banger, we need more people making fun crossover stuff like that in the world lol. The bottom one is just him vibin(?). Idk he seems pretty distressed, but that’s his usual state so uh—

Another little pose doodle. I think his preferred sitting position is like criss cross applesauce on the floor. I don’t think he’d sit normally in chairs at all. I am now picturing him leaning a chair back too far help 💀.

This one is based on this meme that’s kinda poking fun at the art styles commonly found in yaoi with the last one being left blank for putting whatever you like there and implying in a comedic way that it’s ‘straight man yaoi’, I’ve seen ones with things like football players or idk Breaking Bad put there lol. Basically I saw the meme and realized that all the different styles kinda lined up too well with some Simon designs and well yeah this happened 💀💀💀. So we got Ayami Kojima’s design as “straight woman yaoi”, the NES cover art/X68000 as “gay man yaoi”, Simon’s Quest as “lesbian yaoi”, and Captain N thrown into “straight man yaoi” lmaooo.

Hello, another (body) hair ask 🧔

Well, it depends where your ask is aimed at. Regarding facial hair: I really tend to think he shaves everyday. That's what I observed from the men around me, and since Richard seems to have thicker hair and more of a dense growth of his beard (meaning it's not patchy when it grows out, here is a wonderful post with some reference pictures), daily shaving would be very likely be required to secure absolute smooth skin which he seemingly prefers.

Regarding his chest hair which he shaves most of the time (not always, during the festival era he sported some chest hair here and there...glorious times), I have absolutely no idea how often a man has to shave it. I guess every couple of days? But honestly, Richard if you're reading this, leave the razor at home for the next tour, no need to stress yourself, freedom for the chest hair please 😌

I know I’m another anon who is about to send you unverified gossip, but for what it’s worth I think people are sending you things because you do so much groundwork to get the details right, which is hard to do if you’re not in the industry.

So! Along that spirit, here are a few details about Harry’s Grammys dress rehearsal told to me by someone who was there that I think might add some helpful context: 1. The vibe between Harry and Kid H/ Ben and Harry felt contrived and very surface level. 2. Harry was very “on” the entire time, even when exchanging pleasantries with people like Ben and Kid H, and that while he was very friendly, he never dropped his act around them. 3. Harry and the dancers took their work very seriously and were very in sync with each other. 4. There were elements of the original choreography between Harry and other dancers that made it difficult to tell who was holding hands with who, and in particular there were two dancers interacting with Harry who resembled Zayn and Louis enough that the person who was there felt like there would be a lot of fandom discourse about it.
