bulgre and egygre? 👀
Tumblr media
bulgre: I don't know that much about bulgarian and greek history but they seem really close, and i would love to learn more about them!
egygre: they are saure bromantic...... they have so many parallels from their childhoods, their mothers, their histories, the cultural exchange, their experiences under the ottoman empire... not everything was totally hunky dory between them, but i think there's this sense of understanding and camaraderie between them these days 🥺

also for greece ships
i like giripan, but i dont exactly find the historical root of this ship? its still adorable and i think it'd be an extremely healthy and wholesome relationship
but since our best relationships are with serbia and bulgaria, i think serbgre and bulgre have the same appeal (except bulgre has the extra angst of the turbulent relationships of the past). serbgre is bulgre but way healthier
i also thing egygre is adorable but i see them more as best friends

Aegean Summer Pt. 2 (Egypt x Greece)
Title: Aegean Summer Fandom: Axis Powers Hetalia Character(s) or Pairing(s): Egypt, Greece; Egypt/Greece Rating: Teenage and Up Audiences Warnings: Hurt/Comfort. Underage kissing. Summary: Greece is upset with Turkey, and Egypt offers comfort.
Follow up to Aegean Summer, idek what I’m writing anymore orz, I just wanted to a scene of teen!Greece and teen!Egypt stealing moments behind Turkey’s back huhu...
Aegean Summer Pt.2
The waves surged. Frills of white froth laced the edges of the water as it pounded on the sand and raced up the beach before thinning and dissipating, running clear in the shallows as it retreated slowly back.
Greece kicked up sand as he ran barefooted across the beach. He held his head ducked, fighting to keep an all-consuming rage from crawling up his throat and choking him as he ran half-blinded and ended up wandering too close to the waters. Sprays of saltwater rose to soak into his chiton, but he did not care. His lungs burned for air and his eyes prickled with the threat of tears, but he did not care.
All that mattered was that he put as much distance as he physically could between him and Turkey.
He reached the end of a small spit of sand and juddered to a halt. He would have dived right in and swam across the ocean had he the strength, but all of it was suddenly draining away from him, so he stopped. His hands rested above his knees as he stooped, bent and panting. Then, like a wave crashing to shore, the tears breached his defences, and he was sobbing and hiccoughing and swiping angrily at his eyes.
Mama… Mama, I’m sorry… I’m so, so sorry…
Greece cried and cried until he had had his fill, then slowly straightened up. He took a deep shuddering breath, allowing the wind to dry his tear tracks as he filled his lungs with salt. All the fight had left him with his strength, but he couldn’t face turning back. Not yet.
The thought of returning to Turkey, to seeing that smug arrogant smile tugging those hateful lips and hearing some stupid vapid comment he would have inevitably thought up in his absence… it filled Greece with renewed anger, and he resolved to stay on the beach for as long as the tide remained out.
It was nearly dusk when he heard soft footsteps approaching, leather slippers slapping lightly against the soles of feet as they crunched their way across the sand. The footsteps were too light to belong to Turkey who was far too fat and stupid to do anything but stomp everywhere he went. He lifted his head from his arms, ignoring the throbbing light-headedness the move provoked, and turned red swollen eyes towards the approaching figure.
Egypt padded over at an unhurried pace, his expression one of serene indifference. When he reached Greece sitting with his knees up on the sand, he dropped lithely down beside him, fastidiously folding his limbs to mimic Greece’s pose. He turned his face to Greece, locking brown-honeyed eyes into Greece’s own bloodshot pair. They sat staring for a moment, the roar of waves filling the silence that hung between them, until Greece turned away.
“Turkey asks that you come back for dinner,” Egypt said to the back of Greece’s head. “He had the chef prepare you your favourite dessert. It’s his way of apologising, I guess.”
Greece let out a snort of derision.
“He desecrates my mother’s temple, and he thinks to mend it with sweets?”
The bitterness barbing his words surprised even Greece and he bit his tongue. He lapsed into sullen silence, not wanting to vent unfairly on Egypt.
Egypt allowed some time to pass before reaching out to Greece, brushing aside the soft brown curls tumbling into Greece’s face. Their gaze met again, and though Greece’s eyes were puffy from crying, his irises remained a delectable olive green.
Egypt felt a spike of desire in his heart.
“You know,” he whispered, his mouth dry as gently he cupped the side of Greece’s tear-stained cheek, “You could… We could…”
He did not finish his sentence. The rest of his words were swallowed as Greece leaned in and met him halfway, their lips pressing softly together in a small chaste kiss. It only lasted a moment, but in that time Egypt tasted all of Greece; sticky sea salt, the mild sweetness of figs, and an aroma of slow-roasted coffee that was undeniably Turkey…
The kiss broke, and Greece’s eyes fluttered open with a look of faint puzzlement. Egypt drew back a little abruptly, casting his eyes aside, and Greece deflated a little and withdrew into himself.
“We should return,” Egypt said, trying and failing to brush over what had passed.
He rose to his feet, offering Greece a hand when the latter struggled to rise as quickly, and slowly they made their way back across the beach.
Greece made to hold on to his hand, but reluctantly Egypt pulled away.

indran indchu nichu egyturk amechu
Tumblr media
indran: for better or for worse they have been married to each other from day one.... they're childhood friends and loves... they've known each other for most of their lives... they've influenced and exchanged so much culture and style and etc with each other.... Like even on a simply purely personal basis, i think they mesh really well and their styles of affection and care giving to their loved ones are perfectly matched... i think about them a Normal Amount
indchu: indchu... my most dearly beloved brainworms... To save you the whole essay i'm always on the verge on writing about indchu, I think about them an even more normal amount (<- is extremely sane about indchu) I think they make less sense then indran because in many ways, their styles of affection and showing care aren't super well aligned, but in a lot of other ways... they do, and theyve gone through a lot of the same experiences from living long and enduring colonialism that they can't help but be drawn to each other no matter what🥺
nichu: I do find nichu's dynamic interesting, esp historically, but I think in the modern day, with Japan trying to insert itself as part of the western powers and divorce themselves from being classified as part of Asia, I don't really think it's *as* much of a thing anymore..... I also have to do my part and combat Chinese weebery 🫡
egyturk: It's an interesting ship, but it's just not for me personally? I like egygre better (and I used to main turgre before I dug more into turkish-greek history lol) If I'm going to explore their dynamic more, I think it would be more of "exasperated underling x boastful boss" type beat under the Ottoman Era, or like, them sniping at each other in the modern day
amechu: Meh. not interested, i think i got overexposed to it when i was younger, and now i don't really care for the whole sugar daddy x sugar baby or new rising power x old world empire dynamic. I don't really think they would get along well on a personal level either, like yknow, butt heads too much and China doesn't see much of worth in America's brashness ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
