May 15, 2022 - A statue of Margaret Thatcher was revealed without ceremony in Grantham, in the UK, to avoid the 13,000 people who had vowed to hold an egg-throwing contest at the grand opening. However, as soon as word got out that the statue had been placed the first person carrying a carton of eggs showed up. The first of what will surely be many.

[Video] Margaret Thatcher statue egged just few hours after installation

(Sunday, 15 May 2022) That didn't take long! Following fears that the new statue of Margaret Thatcher would attract egg throwing protests (as "promised" on various social media platforms) came true just a few hours after its installation in the town of Grantham where she was born and raised and later went on to become Britain's Prime Minister and one of the most hated political figures in British history.

Interestingly enough, the bronze statue was installed without a ceremony on a 3-metre base, to protect it from people's acts of "appreciation, respect and affection", since back in 2021, when it was revealed that there were plans to use £100,000 of taxpayers’ money for an unveiling ceremony of a Margaret Thatcher statue a Facebook group proposed an egg-throwing contest, which attracted 13,000 expressions of interest.

It has to be reminded that back in 2002 a marble statue of Margaret Thatcher in London was attacked with a cricket bat and decapitated with a metal bar.

There’s not a lot of good news lately, but this is excellent.

California residents threw eggs at a far right truck convoy which was attempting to intimidate a member of the California legislature.

On Friday, about 20 drivers filled the road near the home of Buffy Wicks, a Democratic assemblymember, honking, and using bullhorns to demand she leave her home. The group was reportedly protesting legislation Wicks wrote that would end coroner investigations of stillbirths, the San Francisco Chronicle reported, and require state businesses to mandate Covid vaccines for their employees.

The convoy, however, drew fierce opposition from neighbors, who told the drivers to leave the residential street, SF Gate reported. Wicks called law enforcement for protection, and the trucks dispersed when police responded to the scene.

When the convoy got stuck in traffic outside an Oakland Safeway, however, a group of residents began throwing eggs at the stalled vehicles, shouting “get the fuck out of here”, according to video of the incident. Passersby partook as well, grabbing eggs and tossing them at trucks scrawled with phrases such as “Let’s go Brandon”, a coded term among Trump supporters to insult Joe Biden, as they drove by. Many of those throwing eggs at the group were kids who cheered each other on and then fled after running out of eggs.

Considering that Easter was 9 days ago, there were probably some Easter eggs left over from the holiday which came in handy.

Water balloons filled with food coloring also have a lot of potential when dealing with idiot Trumpsters.

Don’t be afraid to fight back in creative ways against such people. If they are creating an inconvenience for you and your neighbors, the least you can do is to return the favor.
