When I was 40 (and going through my mid life crisis) I had A LOT of tattoos done in the space of one summer. Many of which I now regret! When I turned 50 - last Friday - I decided I would have another - more considered tattoo to commemorate the moment! This is the SATOR magic square - which dates as far back as ancient Pompeii - a white spell used for protection against possession, hexing (and the devil) as well as being used for the manifesting of ones desires! The Witches bedside table! It’s the season!! I used be of the type who felt obliged to read EVERY part of a book! Back cover, inside cover, prologue, introduction, dedication!! Then - like it or not - trawl through the text until it was finished BUT - hurrah hurrah - no longer! Now I find I can dip in and out, cross referencing chapters, allowing one book to lead me to another, discarding this one if it bores me, discarding that one of I find it inane … it’s such a merry dance and when I surrender to it the synchronicity runs high and strong! I am a lover of books - the house groans with them - and once when I lived in a big house in Scotland I have my own library dedicated to them!! Now they occupy every room, on floors and shelves and tables. They are the root of power, the treasure troves of ancestral wisdom, the key and the lock and worth their weight in gold! Aged 18 - with a little help from family (Mum & Dad who bought it for my birthday) and friends (Michael who kept me straight) I cut my mediumistic teeth using a Ouija Board 😱 I know the Ouija Board has a bad rep but in my opinion - like any tool - in the right hands it can be used for good as in the wrong hands it can be misused and cause ill.
