Tyndale Life Application Daily Devotion
Devotional for May 3rd
Young people, it's wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do. So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless.
- Ecclesiastes 11:9-10
We often hear people say, “It doesn't matter.” But many of your choices will be irreversible—they will stay with you for a lifetime. What you do when you're young does matter.
Enjoy life now, but don't do anything physically, morally, or spiritually that will prevent you from enjoying life when you are old.

Strive Hard Now For Nothing Is In The Grave
Press forward. Do not stop, do not linger in your journey, but strive for the mark that is set before you – George Whitefield.
Work is sometimes tough, boring, and monotonous. However, this is not true for those who see their work as their vocation. We should also consider our faith as our vocation, striving hard on everything we do in service for Christ's ministry. Moreover, we work as a result of the saving grace from God through Jesus Christ.
Today’s devotional reading is from the Book of Ecclesiastes 9:10. Please, read our recent devotional from the Letter of Paul to the Romans 14:9: Jesus Is The Lord Of The Living And The Dead
Emptiness in the grave, strive hard today
In Psalm 88, we read forsaken among the dead, Like the slain who lie in the grave, Whom You remember no more, And they are cut off from Your hand (Psalm 88:5). Job also said, which rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave? (Job 3:22). The grave is empty and filled with nothingness. We will be cut off from God's hands. Further, we instinctively know that there is nothing we can do in the grave, for no one is striving hard for it nor looking forward to it.
Let us not waste our time doing nothing and packing a lot of regrets in life. And the biggest regret I am talking about is the insufficient service we give to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Furthermore, our lack of enthusiasm in knowing Him will not be of our benefit. Thus, we have to strive hard in everything we do now and offer everything for the glory of God.
Strive hard for Jesus Christ
King Solomon wrote, works which have been done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and striving after wind (Ecclesiastes 1:14). Our works and learnings should not be motivated by worldly desires. But as Paul said, press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14).
Everyone should strive hard to work for the kingdom of Jesus. Also, strive to get to know Him deeper. And we are able to know Him better by reading the Scriptures. The Bible will also guide us as we work and interact with other people. Letting them see the works of Jesus with our lives.
This is the time for your journaling. Reflect on these questions. Ask the Holy Spirit to test your faith and your walk with Christ.
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? — 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV.
Do you see your work or role in life as a vocation?
What are the things you strive hard for?
Is the command of Jesus part of it? Accept Jesus Now.
How do you share His Gospel with others?
Are you striving hard to share the Good News with everyone you meet?
An inspiration to keep you striving hard for His glory.
No Grave Can Bound The Sovereign Saviour, Jesus Christ
Seek the Good for Others
Take the Good Work that we have done on Earth
How To Walk Rightly With Jesus Christ?
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

February 25--CONVERSATION HEART : TIMELY SPEECH
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
…A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; Ecclesiastes 3:1,7 [NKJV]
Timely speech can make a great difference in someone’s life. As Ecclesiastes says there is a time for everything, so if we happen to speak into someone’s life at just the right time or if we do not speak at that certain time, our speech and actions could be what God uses to make a difference in their life.
MY PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Dear God, I always want my words and actions to be timely. Please help me to be aware of this each day so I might be used of You to speak or act in someone’s life at just that right time. I pray my speech will always be timely because Your Spirit is helping me to discern the time to speak and the time to be silent. Thank You God. Amen.
And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 1 Corinthians 2:4[NKJV
