Made a keto "eggloaf" 🍞 for the first time last night! Apparently this is a thing in the keto world - the person whos owed dues is @keto.sam.iam (Thank you!) - I've really been wanting to take a break from almond flour and stevia sweetened/Lilys chocolate, and eat something similar to bread that doesnt cause any gastrointestinal distress or bloating (which both of those things can do).They don't necessarily cause weight gain (as long as you're eating within your keto macros) but with the really long and hard year it has been, and having lost the 5lbs i gained last month - I'm motivated and ready to keep the ball rolling! CLEAN and SIMPLE is what my body responds to and my diet and weight really needs to be the least of my worries right now fr. Not to mention it contains safe ingredients for food addicts so as to not cause a trigger! - I turned this into French toast this morning, so stay tuned!🥞 - I tweaked a recipe a little bit and I will share that when I post the French toast! - This is definitely an option for people when they need to break a plateau too and are doing a 3-day "egg fast" you can make eggs in so many different ways, and now I'm intrigued to try an egg fast too to get more of this weight off! - Raise your ✋ if you've made an eggloaf or done am eggfast! Ewwwwwww Brussels Sprouts😝 ... NO NO NO! They are actually very delicious and it depends on how you season and prepare these little heavenly balls(lol). Which will determine the flavor and texture. I enjoy cooking up these little guys because they have a tuff texture, and as a Blood Type O Vegan, lol you know I NEED TEXTURE in my life. But back to the brussels Sprouts. They are a member of the Brassicaceae family of vegetables and closely related to kale, cauliflower and mustard greens My ❤'s . These cruciferous vegetables look like mini cabbages so you can spot em in you local farmers market or grocery,Brussels Sprouts are low in calories but high in fiber, vitamins and minerals. By the way ,here are some of the major nutrients you can find in Brussels Sprouts. They are especially rich in vitamin K, which is necessary for blood clotting and bone health. They’re also high in vitamin C, an antioxidant that helps promote iron absorption and is involved in tissue repair and immune function which is great for us girls who suffer from Anemia. Their high fiber content helps support regularity and gut health. Also Brussels sprouts contain small amounts of vitamin B6, potassium, iron, thiamine, magnesium and phosphorus. For all those who follow the #eatrightforyourbloodtype Diet ,if you are O Blood type Brussel Sprouts are also on the avoid list 😑for O Blood type only. But for me I do not strictly follow that diet. Lentils are a great source of vegetarian protein, especially if your grocery store isn’t stocked on your favorite meats! And this Lentil Soup recipe makes TWELVE servings, so it’s great to have for lunches throughout the week. Ingredients 1 tbsp olive oil 3 medium onions, chopped 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 2 medium carrots, chopped 1 lb dry lentils, sorted, rinsed 6 cups low-sodium organic vegetable broth (or chicken broth) Sea salt and ground black pepper, to taste, optional Instructions Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onions, garlic, and carrots - cook, stirring frequently, for 5-6 minutes. Add lentils and broth. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook, covered, at a gentle boil for 30 minutes (or until lentils are soft). If the soup becomes too thick, add additional warm water. Frozen finner keto option by Real Good Foods, actually im no longer eating chicken so i gave these to my neighbor. I'm moving so I'm trying to get rid of anything in the freezer that has been there awhile. the reason I'm not eating chicken is because being half Pakistani my blood type is type B and a few years ago I read the blood type diet book and realized the agglutinating proteins proteins in chicken are not just harmful but it's detrimental to my body that I do not eat chicken, and can cause autoimmune reactions.
