A little guide to my blog.

I am Antara, eighteen and a college student pursuing Btech in Mechanical Engineering. I created this blog to share updates about my life, good bad stuffs...about my projects that I am working on or will be working on in future, plus a tons of posts on writings and poems.

haven't posted in a few days, but it's been pretty busy.

been to 2 gigs in 2 days, got a 3rd tonight. i absolutely love live music, & i love how im at the point in my life where i can go to this many music performances with no drawbacks or complications. im really loving my life this year.

i also got accepted into my top choice university yesterday, which means my future is absolutely crystal clear.

it's really great.

here's photos of me from the last 2 night, going to see polaris and alestorm (yeah, both are in the same bathroom. both were in the same venue hehe)

I miei compagni di scuola si sposano ed hanno figli, io sono qui che sto pregando che il computer regga quest'ultimo aggiornamento perché tra poco è Ferragosto e col cavolo che riesco a trovarne uno nuovo.

(My high school classmates get married and have kids, I'm here praying for my computer to survive this last update cause it's gonna be Ferragosto soon and there's no effin' way I will be able to find a new one).

compagni di scuola = even if you mention "school" (scuola) and not "class" (classe), it refers to classmates. You can talk about someone going to your same school and being in a different class by saying "veniva/era nella mia scuola" or "frequentava la mia scuola" ("s/he was coming to my school" "attended my school"). I specified high school in English: generally in Italian we refer (hen it's not specified) to the last mandatory school we went to and it's high school (or any other similar school we can attend to during our teens). A reminder: in Italy it's the professor that moves from a class to another, students stay in the same classroom through the whole year (unless there are problems and we have to switch room with another class). If you wanna know more about Italian school, some time ago I uploaded a bunch of videos on sayitaliano youtube channel.

col cavolo = can be used alone as an exclamation "col cavolo!" or "sì, col cavolo!" and it translates as "(there's) no way". Literally it means "with the cabbage" and I personally find it lovely. (TW: vulgar speech reference alert): It's the clean version of "col cazzo" (which translates as "no fucking way", literally "with the d*ck"). (/end)

Feb 29th

my binder showed up today. as a trans man, i've never owned a binder or binded at all, due to masking- but now im more open irl about my identity i decided it was time.

didn't get an actual photo, because i only tried it on before leaving the house, but my god the euphoria i got. i can't wait to wear it more.

also went to a thrash gig in the local scene tonight and it was very fun- didn't realise id missed that scene so much.

these are just the good parts of my day. i need to focus on the positives; today might have overall been quite bad and unlucky, but i need to learn to cling on to those good parts & revel in the joy through the bad.

Summer

I've always been a summer girl. I used to be enthusiastic when summer came around. Despite being a winter baby, since ever i've loved going out to the beach, chilling in the sun and late night ice cream with my family or my friends. But this summer just doesn't feel the same. The problem isn't the people I surround myself with, I've got plenty of friends that wants to do things with me, I just didn't feel like it. Now school is starting in a few days and fall is coming but I've barely done anything of my summer. Maybe I'm just more tired of the school year than when I was a kid or maybe I have other priorities than playing around. Nevertheless, I feel like I wasted my summer doing the same activities I do in the school year. The most disturbing is that I'm not that sad about it, I just accepted that summer is for redting. I think that after all, I became a fall girl.

5/11/23

had work in the morning from 9-1 at my shipping/packaging job

learned yesterday i got all As on my finals this semester! and my gpa is a 3.68 now :)

went to buy apple cider vinegar and cranberry juice so i can make a daily hot girl drink

went for a 3 mile walk 💪💪

did 40 minutes of a mix of pilates stuff

I have also been trying to be more mindful abt what I eat :) today i had a vegetarian buffalo egg sausage sandwich, vegan waffles/sausage, and pizza w salad for dinner. ik pizza doesnt sound healthy but ik my mom only buys healthy organic shit so im trusting it 💀

i think i have spent too long hanging around men and hating myself because i am so unlike them. that i’ve forgotten how beautiful it is to be feminine and girly. it’s alright if you want to discuss astrology as a serious conversation. it’s okay if boys think you’re silly for liking clothes and makeup and nothing more. it’s perfectly normal to not want to do ‘boy’ things. and you don’t have to be like them, for the opposite gender to like you. this isn’t an order or advice. it’s just something that i need to hear for myself. i love being a fucking woman.
