OLPlay Upcoming Interviews
(Main) players yet to be interviewed:
Christiane Endler: My guess is they will do her either before the UWCL final or before the PSG away game, since she has ties to both. Gut reaction is it will probably be before the PSG game but could be wrong.
Sarah Bouhaddi: 50-50 odds. They did Le Sommer so there's a possibility they could do her as well, but Le Sommer wouldn't trash Lyon on camera. Not sure you can make the same argument for Bouhaddi.
Dzenifer Marozsan: exempt because of the injury.
Amel Majri: exempt because of pregnancy
Lindsay Horan: Same with Endler, would be either before the UWCL final or the PSG game since she has ties for both. Gut reaction is Horan will get the UWCL Final and Endler will get the PSG game.
At most Lyon will put out a video tomorrow (Monday) of the players who had little/no playing time during the Paris FC game having practice, but otherwise you're not going to get any social media content from them before Wednesday at the earliest. Welcome to the life of a boring but winning club.

Bouhaddi and Maro have been on vacation in Dubai for a few days. Finally confirmed today they are both there. Picture with both, and Bouhaddi working out in Maro’s jersey.

So I just got out of boot camp and I’ve been secluded for 3 months, can you update me on everything woso?!!
ooof bud, well, welcome back!
Okay lemme see what I remember off the top of my head, idk if this is the last 3 months or not so bear with me.
NWSL:
The Thorns won the chaos cup, Gotham (im not sure if the sky blue name change happened in the last 3 months but to err on the side of caution, SBFC changed their name to NY/NJ Gotham FC) were the runner ups (I know).
OL Reign got STACKED for the season with Sarah Bouhaddi, Dzenifer Marozan and Eugenie Le Sommer as off season loans, so, yeah, they're expected to kick ass (although Benstiti sucks so, I guess we'll see).
There were some rumors about OL trading for Lindsey Horan and I for one am a fan of getting the spoiled white woman the hell out of my domestic league.
A judge ruled in favor of suspending the rule against minors playing in the nwsl for Olivia Moultrie, if you haven't heard of her she's a lil 15yr old wunderkind who's been basically playing with the Thorns/she's been in the preseason games but isn't allowed to sign with the league because the NWSL is Like That™. The judge basically gave them 14 days to figure out if the CBA is going to include minors or not so Olivia can either play with a team or keep challenging the league in court—it'll be fun.
The spirit got Yurcaked and basically told that their facilities suck ass, so I guess they'll be looking to upgrade stadiums. (idk if you know who he is but the Washington Capitals Captain, Alexander Ovechkin, is now a Spirit investor and I am excited to see my sports collide).
We still hate Carli Lloyd with a burning passion.
Gotham traded for Allie Long and, surprisingly, we don't hate her. She's actually done really well!
Midge Purce is a wall, I love her.
Also freaking Orlando won a game? Against NCC of all teams? And Paul Riley got super salty about it. it's all wonderful, truly.
FA WSL:
Arsenal pulled of a whole set of wins. Joe is still leaving. DVD is leaving, apparently to Lyon. Roord signed with the other enemy (the German enemy, Wolfsburg). Leonie Maier is also leaving. Lots of ship jumping. They did clinch a spot in the uwcl though I'm p sure?
speaking of
UWCL:
Chelsea lost the final to Barcelona and I cackle in the face of Sam Kerr shitting it at yet ANOTHER final. It's truly PEAK Hilarious.
Unfortunately Barcelona can still bite me bc they're gonna be unbearable next season for the Spanish league, and they also nabbed PSG's shining star and I'm still mad about it.
UWSNT:
uh, not much there? Olympics Roster gets announced tomorrow I'm p sure? Tobin is still injured, most players are still kicking though. I guess we'll see what happens!
Shipping shit?
Uh, Kerr and KMew might be a thing and I'm gonna end up owing an apology to the anon who called it in December. Tiane Endler got married! That's all I remember, really.
I'VE BEEN REAL BUSY SO THESE ARE JUST THE NEWS I REMEMBER. OTHER ANONS HELP ME OUT IF I FORGOT SOMETHING!

challenge: make a starting 11 but each position has to be someone from a different country, no one can be from the same place
Challenge accepted but not appreciated Anon. This will be controversial I can feel it in my bones. I’m gonna go with a nice classic 4-3-3:
LW: Lieke Martens (Netherlands)
CF: Pernille Harder (Denmark)
RW: Caroline Graham Hansen (Norway)
LM: Jessie Fleming (Canada)
CM: Julie Ertz (US)
RM: Dzenifer Marozsan (Germany)
LB: Amel Majri (France)
LCB: Mapi León (Spain)
RCB: Magdalena Eriksson (Sweden)
RB: Lucy Bronze (England)
GK: Christiane Endler (Chile)
Ok Anon this actually sucked and was harder than I expected it to be

Well, this is interesting.
Maybe Maro and Bouhaddi are extending for 6 months like we hoped so they can come to Utah next season.
