I have spotted a trend, and it might only be because this is tumblr, but I need to know
With polls only being able to be set to a week maximum, I'm afraid that nobody is gonna see this. So if you do, please share. I really wanna get a bigger sample size than 2.

darlings, broskis, I know yall love angst, but there is basically no precedent for Kai's greatest fear to be him hurting the others
Tumblr media
it would make more sense that his greatest fear is the others getting hurt without him being able to protect them or something

I genuinely think this show has to offer some very unintentionally queercoded characters and stories, so let’s look at some of them through a queer lense !!
Okay I gotta start with Vanessa. I feel like her struggle with not fitting in with the other girls is something many sapphic people can relate to. Her whole “I’m not like other girls, internalized misogyny” thing at the beginning of the series is something many queer girls go through because we didn’t realize that what separated us from other girls and made us feel out of place with them was actually our queer identity. I also want to point out the bullying she received from Natasha and her friends in the episode 11 reminds me so much of the bullying queer teenage girls get from other girls. Like her getting locked out of the changing room while the other girls laugh at her?? That is almost uncomfortably similar to what I went through in middle school. And well just look at her(this applies to many of the characters). What straight girl dresses like that.
Speaking of Natasha I just want to quickly mention her love of skateboarding which is something her parents don’t approve of and instead try to force her to do ballet. There’s something very queer in that too, being forced to do something your parents and society at large expects from you while they disapprove of the thing you actually want to do. Speaking of which, it’s time to talk about Markus.
Just like with Natasha, Markus’ dad also hates Markus’ passion for soccer and tries to get him to play tennis instead. Sounds familiar right, a parent not accepting a part of their child so they try to suppress it by some extreme measures and force them to do something they approve of instead, something they may even think is the only valid way to do things. I also want to highlight the way Markus’ dad talks about his friends, the way he insults them and blames them for “corrupting his son” and “distracting him”. Like that’s exactly the way some homophobic parents blame their child’s queer friends for supposedly corrupting and ruining their child after the said child comes out.
And since we’re talking about daddy issues it’s time to bring up Deniz. Deniz had some similar problems with his dad as Markus, as his dad was unable to accept the soccer team Deniz chose to be in in the episode 5 and tried to go to some extremes to force him to change into a team he thought was better suited for Deniz. Just like with Markus’ dad, this rings some bells. However at the end of the episode, after seeing how good of a team they were and when he and Deniz had a nice talk in his car he was finally able to accept the team …kinda like a parent who is at first against their child’s identity when they come out but learn to understand and accept it.
I’m going to end this essay here but don’t worry, all the other characters are also all part of the lgbt+ community. They personally called me and verified this. Thank you for reading me succumbing into insanity.

Dwk creepypasta
(gonna post it as an own post ykyk)
So i have a concept for a dwk creepypasta.
Tw:Dead, ect ect
What if there was a team before the one willi played in? The Teufelstopf was only a grass field at that point.it was a team of of course 7 and a trainer. But after a while they disappeared. One after another until only one was left but eventually he disappeared too.The trainer Werner was of course the first one people suspended because the boys disappeared after the training on there way home. In 3 weeks all the boys disappeared. For weeks there was no clue. Nobody knew where the boys where.it was like they just vanished into thin air.And they couldn't find anything in Werners home either. After 4 months they gave up. And then a week later they found 6 of the 7 missing boys in a lake in the forest. There were no injuries that could lead to there dead. But what was creepy about the dead bodys was that there mouths got swen shut and it looked like a smile. No poison either or that they died because of no food, nothing. And the police closed the case. But nobody knew where the last boy was. And after the police officially closed the case Werner was found dead on the old Teufelstopf. A few years later, a group of teenagers explored the forest at night near the lake as a test of courage. One of the boys turned around to see 6 floating white figures. They were floating above the lake and just watched them. There hair was dirty and clothes torn apart and dirty. Eyes black and wide open.Mouth formed into a nonhuman like smile. up to the cheeks and sewn shut. Just like the boys found dead in the lake a few years ago.And since then a lot of people said they saw those figures floating around in the forest. Until today nobody knew what happend and were the last boy was because only 6 bodys could be found and the ghosts are still haunting through the forest of the Grünwald. Willi told the story a lot of times and said he even saw the ghosts himself. Leon never believed him as well as most of the rest. Raban and Jojo on the other hand seem to be quiet spoked by it. But everyone made sure to get home fast after training when it was dark.

I'm bored, wanna rate most popular dwk ships, too
1. Leon/Vanessa - 8.5
I do ship them. I like enemies to lovers trop. Plus, I like their competitive dynamic and how chaotic they are. Buut honestly, I think they would be this kind of couple that needs emotional swings constantly.
They're actually very alike, which means both of them are stubborn as a mule, which would most likely lead to a lot of arguments.
I see them more as good buddies tho.
2. Leon/Deniz - 10/10
That's it, my babys, my world, my soul, my daily meal. They barely talk with each other in the 2nd season, but I don't give a shit. I think they're pretty similar to Leonessa, but more... peaceful ig? They have something more like rivals to lovers.
Also Deniz is not as bitchy as Leon, so he would at least try to make a first step to reconcile.
3. Markus/Marlon - 3
I don't get it. Like at all. I think they could work as an introvert/extrovert dynamic, buuut they're not in my taste anyway.
4. Markus/Natasha - 8
Love them babys😭. Imo it's so sweet when a taciturn person starts to talk a lot around their loved one.
Still, I think they were moving WAAAY too fast in the series, should have given them more time.
5. Vanessa/Deniz - 5
It's so...weird. I don't really get why people ship them. Markus/Marlon situation, but at least I like the aesthetically, so let it be 5.
6. Raban/Jojo - 5.5
Don't get that ship either. They barely contact with each other, I think the main reason people ship that is that they're both small. And, well, I do that sometimes.
7. Natasha/Vanessa - 7.5
Mmmm enemies to lovers yummy. Tho, wouldn't really call them popular, there are like 2 arts and 0 fanfics with them, but I know alotta people ship them in their minds.
I think they've got a great opportunity to get them somewhere. Not even romantically, but at least as friends. But, ok, let's have a romantic plot instead, sure.

So I just finished watching the 4th season of 'Star trek lower decks'. And I just thought Leon from DWK reminds me so much of Mariner Beckett because like, she breaks every damn rule in the book, gets thrown in the brig so many times, has literally illegal stuff like weapons and Alkohol hidden on the ship and just does her own mission's. Like Leon, if he would work on a spaceship probely would just spent the whole time in the brig. It's just so funny to me!
So here, I made this 4 u:

LCC tram No. 118 @ Beresford Square in 1908 by Frederick McLean Via Flickr: An old photograph of London County Council Tramways (LCC) B class tram No. 118 in Beresford Square, showing a 'Wickham Lane' destination blind box. The building behind and to the right of the tram is the goods office of the 'London & North Western Railway'. The photo reverse is initialled as being from the "ADP (A. D. Packer - David Packer ) collection". National Library of Scotland old/new overhead maps view:- maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/side-by-side/#zoom=18.0&lat=5... No. 118 was built as a 'Preston' three-window design open top car in c1903 by the 'Electric Railway and Carriage Co.', seated 22/34, ran on a 4-wheel Brill 21E truck, going into service in 1908. When new it ran from conduit but was soon fitted with a trolley pole, then in 1910/11 it was fitted with a lightweight top cover, the trolley pole being removed. This car shows as being withdrawn from passenger service in Jul 1915, then becoming a sand car ("cars taken out of service - class B" list at the back of LCC Vol 1 by E. R. Oakley, which says "118 - delicensed 01.07.15 - note c (sand car)"), although I can find no further reference to this number being converted to a works car (see Colin Withey information below). 🚃 Thanks to 'Colin Withey' for this information:- "Unfortunately, in Vol 1 Ted accepted what the late John Wills had given regarding the surrender of 118's MSC licence but did not link it to Vol 2in which a view taken by the late Frank (DWK) Jones is shown of 118 as a double deck snow-plough. 118 did not survive the post-WW1 clear out of the surviving Class B cars after the selection of those structurally better Class Bs cut-down as snow-brooms. The only Sand Van LCC converted from a passenger car was 015 from Class C." 🚃 🚃 Thanks to 'JB (KK 69521)' for the information in this comment:- www.flickr.com/photos/fred_bear/52795548740/#comment72157... 🚃 If there are any errors in the above description please let me know. Thanks. 📷 Any photograph I post on Flickr is an original in my possession, nothing is ever copied/downloaded from another location. 📷 -------------------------------------------------

You know those “character x being y for 5 minutes” complications on YouTube? I so want to make those of the dwk cartoon like “Willi being father of seven for 4 minutes” etc
My problem is that I’m not sure what dub I should use, like English as a language is the most accessible to everyone but
1. I have no idea where you can watch/download this series with the English dub
2. I’ve heard that the English dub sucks(and from the few clips I’ve seen…yeah it does)
I could always just use the original German one and accept the fact that some people(including me lmao) aren’t going to understand it perfectly

October 8th
Morning session (Stage I)
Arisa Onoda (Japan) finished Juillard, now studies with Dang Thai Son
Bach [Pleyel, 1842] Prelude and Fugue in C sharp major (DWK I)
Mozart [Pleyel, 1842] Rondo in A minor [they say she made a huge memory mistake, but was able to recover nicely]
Chopin [Graf, 1835] Polonaise in G sharp minor (WN 4): very polonaise-y, but also... dreamy? lyrical. maybe that's the word. but also strong (how can you achieve both things???)
Maria Szymanowska [Graf, 1835] Polonaise in F minor
Chopin [Pleyel, 1842] Barcarolle in F sharp major: it's a too long piece for me to know it well, but everything flowed and drew me along
Recomendation: Chopin's Polonaise
Madoka Okada (Japan, France) (can I just say: bold clothing decision?! chose a blouse with some white pannels/kinda window frames with things pattern) plays piano and violin, like Arisa Onoda
Bach [Pleyel, 1842] Prelude and Fugue in D minor (DWK II): I feel like I missed the fugue?... idk
Mozart [Pleyel, 1842] Fantasia in D minor: having in mind what was said about this piece yesterday, it definitely felt like a fantasia [radio speaker: this piano is a bit too late for a Mozart piece, kinda confused why this choice]
Chopin [Pleyel, 1830 (copy from 2017)] Barcarolle in F sharp major: (very nice)
Chopin [Graf, 1835] Polonaise in B flat minor (WN 10) [radio speaker: the trio part is opera-based, I didn't know that]
Michał Kleofas Ogiński [Graf, 1835] Polonaise in A minor ‘Farewell to the Homeland’: a bit too fast? but nevertheless, sounded good even in that tempo
Rec:
Piotr Pawlak (Poland)
Chopin [Pleyel, 1842] Barcarolle in F sharp major
Mozart [Buchholtz, 1825 (copy from 2017)] Fantasia in D minor
Chopin [Pleyel, 1830 (copy from 2023)] Polonaise in B flat major (WN 17)
Bach [Buchholtz, 1825 (copy from 2017)] Prelude and Fugue in C sharp minor (DWK I)
Michał Kleofas Ogiński [Pleyel, 1830 (copy from 2023)] Polonaise in A minor ‘Farewell to the Homeland’
Rec: Chopin's Barcarolle and Ogiński's Polonaise
Intermission with PR 2: this morning was a triple-Barcarolle, each one different and placed in a different position
Arisa Onoda (in 2015 and 2021 took part of Chopin competitions). Great musical sensitivity. Unfortunately, made a huge mistake in Mozart's Rondo, but was able to recover towards the end; her Barcarolle was really good, made an impression on radio speakers. During the short interview after her recital, Onoda called this piece an "unfulfilled dream of going to Venice".
Madoka Okada studied in Paris, is now studying period playing. A bit controversial choice of the instruments (Mozart on Pleyel---maybe for easy playing, maybe a French tradition, maybe to get closer to how Bach and Mozart were played in Chopin's times?). An interesting choice to put Barcarolle in the middle of her recital [also Okada said that for this piece she chose a piano that lacks one note that is needed for this piece?! hey say though it also resonates bass notes nicely which can help in Barcarolle---also she used the dolce sfumato pedal that made the piece stand out].
Piotr Pawlak winner of 2017 Darmstadt Chopin competition, a bit of mathematician. A bold choice to begin with the Barcarolle---a real challenge. Bach was intriguing; played on a Viennese piano, una corda used in fugue, one of the most interesting during this competition.
Takahiko Sakamaki (Japan) MA thesis (Köln) on the methods of tuning of period pianos. [radio speaker: sat on a typical orchestral chair, seemed very relaxed]
Chopin [Buchholtz, 1825 (copy from 2017)] Polonaise in D minor (WN 11): lovely
Mozart [Graf, 1835] Fantasia in D minor [a short improvisation and modulation to go into Kurpiński's polonaise]
Karol Kurpiński [Graf, 1835] Polonaise in G minor
Bach [Broadwood, 1846] Prelude and Fugue in G minor (DWK II): very lively fugue, with this constant motoric motion
Chopin [Broadwood, 1846] Ballade in F minor: he got me at subito piano near the end. but then his chords, one after another, seemed too fast. a nice, if maybe a bit strong, ending. [seems there was some memory mistake?]
Rec: Bach and improv
Kamila Sacharzewska (Poland) studies with Janusz Olejniczak in Warsaw (lovely classic dress)
Bach [Buchholtz 1825 (copy from 2017)] Prelude and Fugue in C sharp minor (DWK II): loved the prelude. very motoric fugue.
Mozart [Buchholtz 1825 (copy from 2017)] Fantasia in D minor
Chopin [Pleyel 1830 (copy from 2023)] Polonaise in A flat major (WN 3): full of grace
Michał Kleofas Ogiński [Buchholtz 1825 (copy from 2017)] Polonaise in A minor ‘Farewell to the Homeland’: nice, very decisive. she had quite a bit of mistakes with grace notes, maybe because of the change of instrument (I had listened to a reminder that al these pianos have different key width last night)
Chopin [Pleyel, 1842] Ballade in G minor: aaah, ballade in g <3 quite a bit of mystery, but also playfullness where it was needed (those semiquavers)
Rec: polonaises (and ballade, honestly)
Viacheslav Shelepov (Russia) studies in Hannover with Zvi Meniker
Chopin [Pleyel, 1842] Polonaise in F minor (WN 12)
Bach [Buchholtz 1825 (copy from 2017)] Prelude and Fugue in E minor (DWK I)
Mozart [Buhcholtz 1825 (copy from 2017)] Fantasia in D minor
Karol Kurpiński [Buchholtz 1825 (copy from 2017)] Polonaise in D minor
Chopin [Pleyel, 1842] Ballade in G minor ["you can't unhear it"?! wow]
Rec:
PR2 recs: Bach on late pianos sounds very good, which you can't say about Mozart on same pianos... Imagination and individuality as the main characteristics of the winners, but together with some order, with thought
Piotr Pawlak about Buchholtz: in Bach, every voice sounds different, which is great for him. He chose the piano (Pleyel) by playing first bars from the Barcarolle. Radio speakers: he was able to find the affect in that piece, which is difficult (also, he began his recital with it!) Spontaneous improvs/ornaments in Ogiński's Polonaise that sounded very natural and beautiful (in Darmstadt, he got a prize for improvisation). Nice Fantasy, contrasting recitativs (going back to CPE Bach). Treated Buchholtz, a Viennese-type piano, as an "emanation of a harpsichord".
Takahiko Sakamaki: Bach played on Broadwood, which also worked. Intriguing, all played on una corda, which made it sound completely different. This Broadwood is identical to the one used by Chopin in England. Great Ballade, fascinating. Chopin's Polonaise: a bit too nonchalant; Mozart a bit like in "Amadeus" (but with a style). Sakamaki about Broadwood: very romantic. He chose a standard chair bc the piano one was too high while he wanted to sit really low, alnd he prefers to have a backrest as it helps him relax and concentrate.
Kamila Sacharzewska: sure, calm and composed. Bach, which was difficult, played very surely. Chopin's Polonaise very nice, non banal, with good articulation. Ogiński: finally a polonaise played like a polonaise, like a dance, a bit melancholic. Used the una corda pedal wisely. Ballade: one of the most interesting, unfortunately the sound was a bit too forced, too much for the Pleyel.
Viacheslav Shelepov: a bit tiring recital, lots of mannerism, emphasy in the phrasing, too much of agogic changes. A bit histeric ballade O.o nice prelude. Probably will not get into stage two.
