Ive been using Fran and Francesca interchangeably at my new work and my little bio thing uses both and so multiple coworkers have asked which I prefer, and while I don't REALLY have a preference in the workplace, I said Fran bc I like being called Fran. An Alexandra Alex, Nick Nicholas, Joe Joseph, etc type situation.

But it also feels weird?? Like the only ppl who call me Fran up to this point are my internet beloveds (it would NOT fly with my family, and my irl friends are all school friends who met me with official school name and there's no so many of them and it's just. Idk. I don't CARE enough to ask ppl who already call me Francesca to change. I dont DISLIKE my full name. I just LIKE being nicknamed)

It did NOT give me the warm fuzzy feeling it does when internet friends call me Fran. And idk if I'm just not used to hearing it? Or? This was a silly attempt at freedom and autonomy and I'm just a big dummy?
