Look if they wanna fix the server than they should just restart at the end of the prison break stream and go from there.

None of this reboot shit bc it leaves so many things unfinished.

s4 isn't unsalvageable, I can see the underlying potential that rests there. c!dream being out of prison and the overall threat that leaves to the server at large. There's a story that can still be told.

You can start the season with characters afraid and conflicted and everything and then carefully have them begin forging alliances bc they know c!dream is gonna come after them, and then you can have a grand finale where the entire server is teamed up for one final time to beat the villain.

That's literally all that needs to be done. But it would require commitment and a Lot of discussion.

Hey mcytblr! I currently have the wild opportunity to pitch an art exhibition to an actual real gallery with whatever theme I want as part of my intro to curatorial studies class this semester.

My plan is to put together a pitch for an mcyt fanart exhibition, with the goal to show that the genre is just as valid in the art world as traditional fine arts. I'm currently very early in the process, and am working on selecting which artists I want to reach out to to ask to include their work in this theoretical exhibition. However, of course, the community is huge and there's bound to be hundreds of artists here I've never even heard of! Especially those making fanart of series I don't watch. So here's where I'm asking for help from the community at large! Please reblog this post with the names of mcyt artists whose work you enjoy, with a link to either their portfolio or art tag! Feel free to link your own stuff as well!

One of the reasons I've stayed in the dsmp fandom for so long is the huge amount of ao3 fics without romance. Going from dsmp to any other fandom on ao3 is crazy because while 90% of dsmp fics are centered around platonic relationships, most other fandoms seem to have 90% of their fics centered around a romantic one.

Like, in 2023, while only 18 of the top 100 relationships were platonic, 7 of those were dsmp. Even more, the top 2 most popular platonic relationships were dsmp. Then there's the fact that of the 44,000 total fics on ao3 with the "no romantic relationships" tag, 9000 of them have tommy in them. And most writers who write a story without romance don't even use that tag.

Even shows with canon aroace characters have way more romance on ao3; with hazbin hotel, alastor is shipped with someone in almost every single fic. With DBH, even though their relationship is friendly at worst and father-son at best, there are way more hank/connor fics than hank&connor fics. Lastly, I think it's funny how there are almost 500k harry potter fics and only 1000 of them have no romantic relations, which is an insane percentage compared to dsmp.

I don't know. Do you get what I'm saying? No other fandom (that I've found) does it like dsmp. And so while I understand why people have stopped writing them and have been deleting their fics, it does make me sad to lose all these found family and friendship fics that I've lived off of for so long.

The funniest part about today’s impromptu lore was Eret saying "The reason I was adopting Fundy was because Wil had died, but Wil's back now, so Fundy has a dad again!" and chat immediately going “UHHHHH, ABOUT THAT...”

when people try to downplay the dsmp's story and roleplaying, i want to shake them because cc!techno did not write an interesting arc where his character learned to rely on his friends despite multiple betrayals and to change tactics despite the fact his violent tactics worked for people to say it was bad or pointless.

cc!techno did not drop amazing banger lines time after time and put his all into the delivery just for people to pretend like 'do you want to be hero tommy then die like one' or 'i have a pickaxe and i'll put it through your teeth' or 'you've got the wrong hostage, I CARE' mean nothing because they've decided the dsmp is cringe and bad actually.

cc!techno put so much into his character and his friends and he gave us amazing moments and i'm so so fucking thankful for that.

Okay so i watched the Eryn + Aimsey and the Eret lore, and tbh I am excited to see what's coming next.

However I am worried though, bc while it's very noble of c!Eret to want to gather ppl together to get the revive book out of c!Dream, it's a matter of how in the fuck they're gonna do that. c!Dream IS the book, and if c!Quackity torturing him wasn't even enough for him to cough up the revival info, than what will???
