You know what time it is! Time for me to develop my dsmp headcanon even further! Today we have epithets for the dsmp gods. If you don’t know epithets are titles used in place of a gods name, usually to praise them in some way and/or show respect.

My headcanons I use within my writing from DSMP, QSMP and beyond;

Dream SMP: -Emerald earrings are given to those blessed by the Death Goddess, which includes; c!Techno, c!Philza, c!Niki, c!Ranboo, c!Eret, c!Foolish, c!Wilbur and c!Tommy -c!Techno, c!Philza, c!Eret, c!Foolish are ageless beings who can travel across the Realms -c!Philza uses his crows to send messages across the servers and dimensions -c!Techno and c!Phil can force their will upon Wither creatures to somewhat guide their decisions, they are still rather unruly beings -c!Techno's hound army is made up of the souls of those he and Phil defeated in battle -c!Techno can summon them at any time to do his bidding -c!Techno and c!Phil can make the conscious decision to leave a realm when they feel they have accomplished enough -c!Phil wears a braid that now has seven beads around the end in my QSMP tellings; Rose pink (Techno), daffodil yellow (Wilbur), leaf green (himself), blood red (Tommy), indigo purple (Ranboo), caramel brown (Niki), ocean blue (Chayanne) and gold (Tallulah) -c! and q!Phil suffered from injuries that greatly reduced his ability to fly for long periods of time, in some of my tellings he loses one or both wings all together depending on the canon the story decides while I write it -c!Eret is also known as Themis, where c!Foolish is their Undying Totem -c!Eret is blind from the long-term exposure to Withers from when they were set to be sacrificed by a Wither Cult. The only way to prevent the diseases progression was the Death Goddess' blessing. -c!Eret is related to Herobrine, where c!Foolish is the Death Goddess' first child with DreamXD until he went off on a power trip. Then She found c!Phil and had c!Wilbur. Which means technicially, c!Foolish and c!Wilbur are stepbrothers in my pantheon. -c!Eret contracted c!Techno to assassinate c!George when he was crowned after c!Eret was dethroned. c!Techno's only exception to his anarchist demands is c!Eret because they are fair and leave him alone, threatening c!Dream to do the same post c!Eret getting their throne back -c!Wilbur can also communicate using his Mother's crows, whether that be within the same server or across dimensions -c!Techno went to comfort c!Tubbo after the fireworks execution cause c!Techno might act like an emotionless badass, but he will always have a soft spot for youth -The Death Goddess is the one who prepares souls for their next chance or ferries them off to their afterlife -Herobrine controls all limbos (I also dubbed them 'the Unknown One') -DreamXD's controls travel between dimensions primarily, the Goddess can also use this ability -c!Ranboo's earrings all have meanings; a small L’Manburg flag (a momento to the nation lost), a bee (c!Tubbo), an allium (c!Tommy), a fox (c!Fundy) and a cookie (c!Niki) all hung from silver chains beside the gold-gilded emerald -The scars of previous deaths persist on your skin in the DSMP universe, as a reminder of how you died. -c!Eret is Harpocrates in the Syndicate, there was just never an opportunity to reveal themself as such. They were sworn in shortly after c!George's assassination.

-c!Technoblade and c!Philza make a point of brushing and braiding each others hair every morning they live together.

ALRIGHT QSMP TIME; -Everyone forgot their previous lives except q!Philza, the Angel of Death, for the first few weeks of that world. Also q!Wilbur, q!Niki, q!Bbh, q!Foolish -q!Philza still closely guards the emerald earring he will always wear

OOH uh i brainrot with worm a fair bit! vague concepts that i remember with my pea brain are…

- ‘sally au’ which is a branching off of my very much ‘turning sally and the pantheon of dsmp gods into ocs’ headcanons i have into smth that alters canon rather than expands upon it!

- something about canon tntduo and invisibility potions. smth smth spying on your rival and refusing to stomach the really nauseating idea that they are in fact human and not the manipulative caricature youve made up in your head. this one was a one off that i still think about some nights!

i think thats it actually. all the god stuff ties in very neatly together, blood gods mantle for techno, mumza, phil, wilbur, sally and fundy all part of some multigenerational pact that ties into limbo and the intricacies of managing godhood and the mortal experience simultaneously. the egg is one ive been brainrotting for a bit but idk much yet LMAO

i could repurpose most of it for ocs because its so, so far removed from canon. turning a fish into a major character with unique motivations. but i tried that a few days ago and realized nothing could compare to cquackity, blorbo from my shows, and that i will not be able to leave the dsmp behind until i have milked every scrap of content it for all its worth and thought about it for. probably a lot longer than the two and a half years i have so far 👍

also im like. meh on my own storytelling capabilities and realized during the same moment a few days ago that i think its best if i stick to art LMAO but this will all always be in my head and i hope to share it thru my fanart 🤟

The god hierarchy of the Dream SMP

So yeah I got thinking again.

The canon gods of the SMP are XD, god of quote unquote “Everything”, and Kristin the goddess of death. But, there’s also foolish, and other deities like the egg, so what is going on here? Well, here’s my little theory.

So just like in many other mythologies, there’s a large pantheon of gods in the DSMP universe. Some minor ones include The Blood god, Drista goddess of chaos, and Philza, The Angel of death. These are all sub-species of the great quartet, or the big four if you will, and don’t really have any greater power over the world as a whole.

The big four consists of XD, god of creation, The Lady, goddess of death, Foolish, god of life, and [Redacted], god of destruction.

As you see, these four all exist in harmony, creating a circle. XD creates, Foolish gives life, [Redacted] destroys and The Lady takes care of their souls after their demise. They’re all one happy family.

Until Foolish leaves the great pantheon to become mortal, throwing everything into turmoil. It is unclear why Foolish gave up on his godhood, some ancient historians theories that he wanted peace, some say he wanted war, and some say he just wanted to build.

With a piece of their family missing, the system is in chaos. XD is forced to take on Foolish’ old duties of giving creatures and beings life, something that greatly upsets [Redacted]. Why should XD be gives more power than them and The Lady? The Lady has no qualms about this fact, she’s too busy breaking every rule possible to keep Foolish from entering her realm, just to give him eternal peace. Plus, this was when The Angel of Death was created and she’s a bit busy with that if ya know what I mean.

So [Redacted] is left to their own devices, to scheme and think to their hearts fullest content. They know that they’re not as powerful as the other two, with XD taking up two of the roles and The Lady having her own realm and billions of souls under her belt. But [Redacted] isn’t stupid, they’re the fucking god of destruction, and they know that they can take control if needed to.

So, they gain a new sort of power. The power to manipulate, and the power to control. Everyone who looks upon them immediately falls to their knees in awe, a willingness to devote and die for their god fining a place in their heart. The only people immune to their thrall is the creatures of there other gods, like XD’s Dreamons, The Lady’s undead, and Foolish’ villagers. Also yea I headcanon that they’re people of his creation, because come on. Dudes with big noses being obsessed with emeralds and peace?

And so [Redacted] spreads their destruction across the server, slowly taking soul after soul, block after block, until nothing remains but a barren blood red wasteland filled with brainwashed cultists. The Lady and XD are forced to act, but they can’t find themselves to kill [Redacted]. They’re like a sibling, a part of their holy quartet, and after loosing Foolish it would be too much to loose another.

So they encase [Redacted] in a vessel to conceal their destruction. A cocoon of sorts, or an egg if you will. [Redacted] is hidden deep underground, and they’re forever forgotten in history.

The Lady and XD can’t remove the destruction that The Egg caused, so they create a new realm to keep it all from spreading more. The mortals call it The Nether. All of the brainwashed people are sent there as well, as they can’t find a way to cure them. Overtime they evolve to adjust to the environment more, becoming creatures like Piglins, and Blazes, and Ghasts and Wither Skeletons. Some more powerful individuals evolve into Demons, terrifying creatures that are almost impossible to kill.

And life goes on. More people join the SMP. War is started, some are won and some are lost. The Lady’s Angel creates a family that all die off one by one. Some creature start to leave The Nether, such as a certain young and positive demon.

Foolish finds a place to live, permanently. XD checks in on him as often as he can, talking to him and entertaining him. Foolish has started to remember who he was, fragments and pieces only, and he demands of XD to be given his powers and godhood back. XD refuses, per Foolish own wishes from a long time ago, but after a while it becomes too hard to resist. He’s always been soft when it comes to Foolish sparkling green eyes and toothy shark grin.

And then a Demon finds The Egg. A descendant of one it their most loyal followers, taking up the role his ancestor played perfectly. Some other creatures, like a cat or a human get perused just as easily thanks to the Destruction blood flowing through their veins, while some take their time like a flower nymph, a creature of life.

And Foolish is killed. No one understands why, he’s supposed to be a god right? Why can some cat influenced by an egg take one of his lives?

Because the Egg is a god. Not just a god, it’s one of The Gods. The Big four are unkillable, to everyone but each other.

But because of his decision on mortality, Foolish is given a second chance. In fact, he’s gives a third chance as well, something to save for the future. Every god and deity are gives only one life, but Foolish is no longer a god, now is he?

Anyways, to summarize some things that didn’t fit here, in the beginning there were four sets of people, people of life, death, creation, and destruction. Over time the people have bred amongst each other, so most people of the SMP are mixes and hybrids, but there are some Purebloods. Dream is pure creation for example, as is George which is why XD is drawn to him. Every Nether person, such as Techno, Tina, Sapnap and Bad are pure destruction. Hannah and Purpled are pure life, giving them incredible survival skills, and Eret and Wilbur are both pure death. Sally was also pure life, giving Fundy and even 50/50 between life and death. Ranboo is similar, but with 50/50 of Creation and Destruction. Every revived person also become pure death, so while Tommy used to be mostly creation and Jack mostly destruction, they’re now 100% creatures of death.

Drista is a deity of XD, Philza a deity of The Lady, The Blood God a deity of [Redacted] and Prime a deity of Foolish.

Also I have no answer for The End, so after The Nether was created I guess XD just wanted his own realm to fuck around with. The Lady’s realm is Limbo, if that wasn’t obvious.

EVEN MORE SCHLATT HEADCANONS: MULTIVERSE/REVIVE BOOK ORIGINS EDITION

Schlatt is just the second-to-latest (the latest being Tubbo) in a line of mystic beings spanning all the way back to the beginning of modern man. This line connects multiple SMPs, the Slimecicle Universe, etc., and explains the origins of certain characters. I will only be going over the Schlatts we know of, no made-up Schlatts as of yet unless you want more of this funky little AU that explains things.

The first in the line was Schlatt from Minecraft but every 5 minutes there’s a natural disaster, who I’ve decided to call Jarilo to not get confused by calling them all Schlatt. I imagine him as a god of weather, nature, the harvest, and general health in the same pantheon as Kristin or Dream XD. Unlike any other gods you may think of with those skills, he uses them maliciously for his own amusement. Drought, tornadoes, plagues, you name it, he causes it pretty regularly in localized areas all for shits and giggles. He started the line by basically being Zeus once and having a kid with a mortal. Knowing his kin would most likely have power in their veins for eons to come he created what we now know as the Revive Book to allow everyone else to know what they’re capable of, and we all know how well that went. He slowly faded out of public awareness, being worshiped by only a small few and not even Philza or Technoblade knowing he even exists. Slimecicle knows of him vaguely and has funny feelings whenever he looks at DSMP Schlatt’s photos and whatnot, but could never really place a name or why he remembers him. Despite this, Jarilo still lives on-as gods tend to do-watching over his kin and everyone else but lying dormant in his more destructive behaviour. But those who remember him know that he waits above for the moment to bring his wrath upon the world once more.

The second one I’m gonna mention is Fragrance Man, or Father Fragrance as I prefer to call him. For the sake of my keyboard though I’ve named him Jeriko. I imagine him being a sort of middle between Jarilo and Schlatt as we know him in terms of ancestry, the Origins SMP as a whole taking place sometime in the late 1500s. He followed a religion that still worshiped the entire pantheon (Prime, XD, Kristin, and Jarilo) but a driving factor in his dare I say character is the fact that those with Origin species were looked down upon and proclaimed to be sinful. Because of this, he was driven to the area in which everyone in the SMP calls spawn. He was enticed by a celebration occurring in the Pub(e) and when he checked it out he saw people like him just existing and having a good time. He made himself known by performing “miracles” in his church and creating a form of his religion that was fully accepting of other Origins. Little did he know that his “miracles” were simply inherited untapped potential from his unknowing kinship to the god he worshipped.

The last one I will briefly touch on is DSMP Schlatt. I imagine his first name would be Jonathan but I'm not gonna use it this time, I just wanted continuity. I'm not gonna go over much since we already know as much about him as we need for this but there are a few things. Schlatt gave Dream the Revive Book because enough time had gone by to where he has no knowledge of his power. All he knows is it was a family heirloom and he didn't know what it did so instead of just using it as a paperweight he gave it way. This doesn't mean he can't use it, he just doesn't know how because no one had since a few generations after Jeriko. Tubbo can also use it but it's not likely he ever would.

Alright so there's the basis for lots of things in DnD in mcyt, either the canon for specific series or in fanon.

So, first up: player character species/races (can't remember specifically what they're called)

- Avian (Philza, o!Tommy, grian, e!Scott, quackity, Jimmy now? It's a common headcanon due to elytras

- Mob hybrid/humanoid (Schlatt, tubbo, Sam, docm, jevin, slimecicle, cod Jimmy, Fundy, technoblade, ranboo, I'm bored of listing these now but you get the gist)

- Human (obv)

- Demon (bbh, Tina, Eryn, sapnap, xornoth, fanon impulse)

- Fae (gem, Hannah, shrub, few sub-categories here)

- Undead (Cleo, zloy)

You could also add elf for e!Scott but that's kinda standard so eh

You've also got a whole pantheon of gods available: dreamxd, noxite, foolish, Kristin, drista, Lizzie (yeah Ocean goddess she counts) yeah these are mostly from dsmp I can't think of any others rn.. watchers? Although they could be something else

Ideas for classes (new or reflavoured existing oness):

Redstoner, vault hunter, pvper, builder, explorer, miner,

And as for backgrounds:

- From a specific server/server location (an empire, HC area, dsmp country, hypixel, etc)

- Villager

- Hardcore player

Items? So many options. Boogey blade. Revival book. Rune blade. Pufferish of peace. Armour stand book. Xornoth crystal. Axe of peace. Blue. Compasses. Gem's wizard staff. Frost walker boots. Derpcoin. I could go on.

I have ideas for certain features as well, like three-life players would have some ability where they can put hp up from zero twice (for a cost of some kind idk what), boogeyman curse would prolly be similar to lycanthropy, so many other cool things

Basically there's a lot of lore that could be smashed together and played in is what I'm saying

one thing I think we don’t utilize in dsmp religion headcanons is epithets. especially since they were so common in the greek pantheon

for example, since hades was king of the underworld, people would often avoid saying his name, and gave him epithets such as Hades Agasander, or he who carries away all.

I just think it would be really cool if Mumza, as Death herself, had some death related epithets.

Dsmp pantheon headcanons update!

Updated what demi-gods were all about and added GeorgeHD cuz the overseers were looking pretty lonely in a category of their own.

Actually delighted by this idea that I just randomly had about Foolish. There’s something very comforting about a god of life recognizing enjoying life in whatever way you like to be a form of worship. Also creating moral codes is my least favourite part of fictional pantheon creation.

Note for those who aren’t up to date on my incoherent ramblings, Brutus is the name I gave the actual blood god, in my headcanon Techno is not the blood god.

Omg the demon Tommy thing finally makes sense to me. I headcanon devoted followers of DreamXD can create a pact that shapeshifts them into dreamons (plus all their descendants get dreamon traits). But that never made perfect sense for Tommy but I got know how to make it work now!

Maybe Drista can do the same thing! Tommy is always helping her cause chaos whenever she pops on and she’s basically on the same level as DreamXD. So she made Tommy a little dreamon!

Headcanon Time

I’m once again in dsmp pantheon headcanon hell, I have a lot more to say about it now. So first of all what sent me down my little rabbit hole is this comment left on one of my previous dsmp pantheon headcanon posts:

So yes, this exactly. You’re explaining my headcanon for me thank you, lol.

Foolish as the god of life is more connected to the physically plane then the spiritual one. But that made me consider the other differences between him and the other deities, another way he differs is unlike most of his fellow deities he does not have an immortal follower that speaks for him.

He has never appointed a special follower like Kristin with Phil or XD with Dream, and I’ve decided that has a similar reason to it as why he’s physically present in the world full time. Its because he doesn’t need some mediary spokespersons, he is close enough with humanoid species that they can work with him far more directly then other gods. I also have a mini headcanon that his name, Foolish, comes from how much of a handful humanoids have come to be for the gods. So he’s a fool for creating such troublesome creatures, but he’s grown so fond of his creations he’s decided to embrace that title.

Now for the next headcanon I came up with in that train of thought. In my big overarching headcanon Herobrian used to be a god himself but was banished, part of the reason that happened was because he was teaching mortals to build withers. Which is such a destructive act it has long been solely for the divine to know. But as you all probably know we’ve seen withers over the course of the story of the smp. But when you think about it (and god help me if I’m wrong cuz then this idea falls apart) it’s only the powerful individual tied to deities that have spawned withers in the main story, Techno, Phil and Dream(?) I don’t really know what he was doing during doomsday but it works out either way. So yeah, kinda a dick move to start creating horrifying, destructive, and incredibly dangerous creatures that no one has even heard of before to prove a point but immortals gotta have fun somehow I suppose. Those three only known how to spawn withers because of their ties to the divine.

Finally and very simply, since Herobrian was the god of peace and he is no longer overseeing his divine domain the world has fallen into an age of war. Obviously every conflict has its reasons and wars aren’t happening for no reason, but that’s why no one on this damn smp has any chill whatsoever.

Here’s some old doodles I never got around to showing off.

Basically these are the characters I’ve labelled “immortal servants” in my dsmp pantheon headcanons. These are the spiritual forms they would appear as to the gods, since they are immortal this form has been able to change and adapt.

Detailed descriptions below \/

Erets soul- Eret is a very new immortal by the others here standards so she still looks very similar to an ordinary soul. They just has a slightly more personalized look, a dress, a crown, and their odd hair situation. His appearance changes based on his ideal gender expression in the moment, most notably his hair which changes length frequently. I’m sorry in advance cuz I know it looks important and interesting but I honestly can’t remember what that chain represents, whoops.

Technos soul- fun fact, this is the last drawing I did of c!Techno before I heard the news, that’s mainly why I never got around to posting this. So I didn’t really design the average piglin soul but imagine it’s similarly basic to the human one. Since Techno is one of many immortal soldiers he isn’t too unique looking, one thing that has changed is that he has a crown and sword. I’m pretty sure those wounds were meant to be self inflicted representing the general feel of him being a tortured soul, his own supernatural gifts overwhelming him far more frequently then others like him.

Dreams soul- So firstly he looks generally very similar to DreamXD, he feels most powerful like that. This is what inspired him to start wearing his mask in the first place. His true soul is fully concealed under layers of fabrics representing his propensity to hide his intentions and personal involvement in the situations he involves himself in. He has his horns, ears and tail since my headcanon does label him as a dreamon. His small halo is similar to my bbh design since he would show that halo if not for his human form that hides it. And finally he has a single DreamXD like floating glove hand that pulls all the strings.

Dsmp canon: Foolish is a demi-god of some sort, he calls himself the totem god. He controls the sea and can resurrect ppl. Just a shark totem dude :)

👀👀 relationship with herobrine??? Do spill the tea👀👀👀

Pfft yeah honestly it’s probably the most out there thing I’ve headcanoned about so bare with me. The basics of it are c!Phil and Herobrine are like, rivals. They are two entities in my headcanony idea of how the dsmp world works that have century old beef with eachother.

So because of Eret bringing him up/being compared to him Herobrine is at the very least known off in canon. I’ve decided he’s a similar kind of entity to Mumza or DreamXD, in my headcanon each of these gods have an immortal that basically works for them (yes I’ve made way too many people immortal in these headcanons). And in my eyes Eret would be the youngest immortal at this point.

But the main point there is that Herobrine had another immortal not so long ago, one who Phil was friends with and travelled with often. Phil and Herobrine were chill until his old immortal died unexpectedly, Herobrine blamed this on Phil. So yeah, Phil travels around frequently since he’s pretty much being hunted down by an angry god at all times. And every once in a while when Herobrine catches up with him they beat eachother up for a bit.
