Hello! Lately, I've been considering getting myself a Drifloon but my cousin advised me not to. He said something about them kidnapping children?? Is that actually true or is it just a rumor/urban legend ?

They do seem to want to try and make friends with small children, but a driftloon isn't very strong and can't even lift a toddler.

Driftblim tend to be more nocturnal and are drowsy during the day, and since few children are out at night are generally safer around children, but they are capable of carrying people, so keep your pokeball handy, as they have little control over where they go.

Honestly, driftloon are more in danger from small children than children are at risk of them, as kids can be rough and this pokemon line tends to be fragile, so I'd keep them away from kids regardless.

This is a pokemon line that does need supervision, but much of the rumours are overblown. Everyone knows someones cousins uncles best friends hairdresser who says they knew a kid at school who TOTALLY got kidnapped by a driftloon...

I only recently got into pokemon and honestly? I've been missing out! So here's my pokemon oc with all of my favorite little monsters ✨

As you can see, I'm a big sucker for ghost types (also fairy types but you can't really see it here!), and I absolutely adore the fact that there's a big mushroom, a candle and chandelier, and a teacup with a teapot, on top of wonderful spade designs and total scrunkles like Gengar. I've gotten better at drawing Gengar now but this was my first attempt so he looks a bit silly. Still, I love them!!💜💜

I'm really into pokemon go and I've been slowly going through the pokemon anime.. team rocket my beloved, is all I'll say on that. Anyways, this was a fun doodle! I just wanted to draw my persona as a pokemon trainer, and I leaned a lot into a purple and ghost aesthetic. I know it's also weird that my oc isn't human but I didn't want to give up key parts of her design. But yea! Just for funsies :3💫

Oh, those little guys are incredibly curious, sometimes a little too curious.

It is true that this line is strong enough to lift children and most average sized humans, but they don't go around abducting them. It's just an old myth from a really dumb misconception.

It's their curiosity and well, airheaded-ness that gets them into trouble.

These pokemon can be really distracted when curious about something, and if they aren't paying attention, they might accidentally float away while deep in thought.

They are adorable when they realize they are doing it, but it's a little annoying when you're showing one something like your phone or glasses, and they get distracted and start to float off with it.

Team Journal Entry

#2 Spectral Flame

Scarlet team made a perculier discovery in the depths of the crater during the night. While in the depths our team thought they left one of their lamps at the bottom of the crater...but it was something much more sinister. it was a lantern just floating in the air. Burning an eerie and unnatural purple glow, but the members of the scarlet team couldn't help themselves from getting closer. Before any of them realised the danger it wrapped it's paper-like tendrils around one of the team and from what I've heard they haven't reported back, did they leave? Or did this creature get to them. We've dubbed it, Spectral Flame.

Alright so with this one I wanted to make more ghost paradox Pokémon because we only have the one with flutter mane so I took driftblim and a Japanese paper lantern and replaced the arms with paper tags like the spell tag but I put the fire kanji on the ends. And I also based it's behaviour on the anglerfish. It is also ghost and fire type losing the flying.

This 3 are my favorites of the shinys I own so far! I wish Scarlet and Violet actually had something like the Battle-Tower. I would love to fight with them. Or at least Gym-Leader/Elite4-Rematches. Fighting in the School-Tournament is getting boring after a while ngl x'D

When Clampearl needs a lift, they will get one from Driftblim, and they also share a strong psychic connection.

I was pretty baffled by this but everyone keeps insisting its true.
