*** SWTOR 7.4 SPOILERS BELOW! *** 🤯
(Seriously - don't click if you haven't played it!)
They brought back Cedral Gend???
Tumblr media
He hasn't appeared since the Dread Masters were a thing!

Tagging @cursedbeasts who might be interested.
Its weird because on my master SWTOR NPC spreadsheet, I decided that he was killed during the five year gap.
Now I'm wondering if I should reconsider that.

Picrew versions of Brontes and Bestia and personal faceclaims for them (Francoise Yip and Jeanne Crain, respectively), since their faces aren’t ever shown in canon, so they can look like whatever I want them to

Y'all know the Dread Masters, right?
Tumblr media
Well, I've been playing Tyr 2 through Oricon, and now I have these insane gooberheads on my mind. And let's be real here, THESE guys should've had the first expansion. Sure, Rise of the Hutt Cartel is decent on its own, but c'mon! The Dread Masters were built up through the operations as primary antagonists and all they get is a side update with one planet and two operations?! Man, BioWare, I liked these guys, dammit! Okay, that aside... If anyone else has anything they'd like to share about the Dread Masters (feelings, headcannons, ect).

The V'ehsz Legacy vs. Oricon
I've been thinking of the Oricon/Dread Master arc lately
and it got me thinking about how my legacy faces it
I knew from the get-go that my Republic toons are the ones who actually face the Dread Masters, themselves, but it also got me wondering about how each individual member of my Main Eight dealt with that arc
Leo, my Knight, is actually the one to take the reigns for it, with Synnda (Consular) and Varrich (Trooper) close at her side.
She takes the lead, charging into battle but also knowing when to hold her blows. She helps Republic and Empire alike, trying to keep as few people from becoming corrupted by the Masters' influence as possible. It hits too close to home for her, remembering her own time under Vitiate's control, and she fights more fiercely than ever to bring down the Dread Masters. She strikes down both Brontes and Bestia.
Synnda is the driving force for her strike team avoiding corruption, holding it back and taking the brunt of it himself. It probably contributes to the dark side corruption marring his face. He's the voice of reason among the trio, coaxing them to stay their hand when he knows words will have a better affect. But, he's also the one both Tyrans, and Raptus, fall at the blade of - showing them, far too late, the power behind his soft voice.
Varrich is the aggressive one, rushing in with blaster readied as his squad watches the team's rear in its assault on the palace. He nearly kills Calphayus when the man comes to the Republic, defeated, but the other two manage to make him stay his hand. It's him and Havoc Squad that keeps Bestia's beasts, and other Dread forces, from tearing the rest of the team apart.
Jen (Smuggler) is nowhere in sight for the arc, not wanting to endanger his crew and leaving it to the soldiers and Jedi he knows will handle it better than him.
Azan (Warrior) and Qizulth (Inquisitor) work closely on Oricon for a bit. Azan, along with her girlfriend Max, protecting Imperial forces through brute strength, and Qizulth tapping into his powerful Force abilities to help hold off the corruption. Qizulth stays close to the Imperial base camp, while Azan ends up tailing Leo's strike team until losing it to the chaos within the fortess that forces her to fall back where the Empire has more numbers.
Terrin (Hunter) shows up on the planet later than everyone else after hearing about something going on, and wanting a piece of the action. She ends up teaming with Azan and Max, and the they storm the fortress, only to find Brontes' (relatively fresh) body. By the time they're only about halfway to the palace's throne room, the Dread forces are falling back, Leo's team victorious.
And, then there's Agent Xaerez, former Cipher Nine. He has eidetic memory.
...and yet Oricon is a blank time period in his mind. He doesn't remember what happened, and his companions claim he disappeared during that time.
There are no records of his involvement.

I'm not sure if I asked this before, so here it goes: Is there a role for the Dread Masters to play in your fics?
Probably not, unless they get mentioned in the background. They're potentially interesting (and terrifying) characters, who really didn't get used much in game - or at least not as much as they could have, considering they seem to have had the potential to become an entire third faction.
They're also way out of my main characters' league, as far as threats go.

Daylight is all blue toned because of the colour of the sky, then the sky on Gallifrey is red, meaning it'd have a much warmer hue.
I wonder if there was an adjustment period to it when the Doctor first came to Earth.
Or if Time Lords have a better perception of red because in Gallifrey it's everywhere.
I wonder if, after the war, the Doctor watches the Earth's blue sky, knowing he'll only ever catch glimpses of it again in the sunset
I wonder if he avoids planets with a red sky

The Hierophant prides himself on the deliverance of knowledge–he serves as a teacher to those who wish to know the ancient ways. Though he is hesitant go against his traditions, he is even moreso to trust his own personal intuition...but should you be able to find the answers you seek under your own power, then perhaps, so could he.
Upright, the Hierophant represents Tradition, Spiritual Guidance, Commitment, and Imparting Knowledge
When Reversed, the Hierophant is indicative of Personal Beliefs, Status Quo Changes, Unconventionality, and Non-Conformity

I feel like Chief should have gotten promoted by now but out-of-universe and perhaps even in-universe he’s just so know as ‘THE master chief’ and ‘chief’ that it’s just weird to everyone to change that, like it’s less a rank more a title now.
