The Big Find 2023

We're back for our second annual fic-finding marathon to celebrate the lostdrarryfics 2 year anniversary! If you weren't around last year, or need a refresher, this is how it works:

We will be hosting a fic-finding marathon for the 10 days leading up to our anniversary on October 31st. Each day, starting on October 21st, we will post a list of requests we've gotten in the past year that we have been unable to find. You can participate by reading through each list, trying to find a fic yourself, letting us know if you recognize any of the fics described, and reblogging the posts so we get as many eyes on them as possible!

The goal is to finally locate these lost fics so that we can help the people who have spent so long looking for them! We receive so many requests and the ones that are still lost deserve another chance to be featured. Please let us know if you have any questions. We can't wait to find some fics with you all!

guys i’m going insane, around over a year ago I read this drarry fic on ao3 where it was like an everyone lives/no voldemort au except it wasn’t an au—

And Harry and Draco were in comas that made them basically relive their life for like 15 years when they were only in comas for like six weeks and they like got married and had a kid

and then one day like things start not looking right to Harry and he realizes he’s dreaming and then they wake up and realize it wasn’t real…

I’ve been searching for two weeks can anyone help😭

And i vividly remember that in the author’s notes it said like “NOT AN AU”

I am trying to find this fanfiction which is about making a bet. Harry and his friends say Harry cannot make Draco have a date with him. Harry believes it is just for fun and wont fall in love with Draco. But it happens and Draco heard the bet from Blaise. Harry is miserable and went home. He tells his parents, James and Lily what happened. And Pansy helps at the end. Anyone knows please help me!

Does anyone know of any drarry fics where Harry is just very intelligent? So many of them paint him as lazy or a bit of a dullard, but I love it when he's smart, and when he doesn't conform to expectations (like becoming an auror)

My favorite is Azoth by zeitgeistic. So anything like that would be great.

I'm searching for a fic, it's already finished and I read it through, it was on Ao3. It's a Drarry fic, good writing, I remember the autor has other recognized fics and this is just one of the many. Harry was an auror, and if I remember correctly he was laid of or in a undefined leave, anyway he gets a hold of what Draco is doing, SOME SPOILER he has some sort of shop, in the outside is like a bar, but also sells potions, Harry in disguise buys Felix, turns out what Draco is doing is entering the minds of his clients and helping them relieve moments with their families/loved ones and/or creates a good better reality for them.

Need Help Finding Drarry Fics!

Ok so I can't find two Veela Draco dreary fics that used to be on AO3. In the first one Dracos a Veela and approaches Harry asking him to be his mate (Veelas have some agency and can choose their mates in this fic). Harry and Draco are on relatively good speaking terms and Harry is an auror that has done some work to protect Draco in the past. Anyways Harry's super against Dracos request/proposition and its eventually revealed that he had a Veela Boyfriend (L something? )who became super toxic and controlling and then raped Harry during the Blazing season (basically when he went into heat). Harrys super traumatized by this and Draco wants to help Harry overcome the trauma. Theres also a side story of Pansy dating this guy who is trying to find his relatives and it turns out the relative (cousin?) was Harry's ex.

The second fic was another post Hogwarts Veela Draco fic where Harry unknowingly rejects Draco who gets sick and starts dying due to the rejection. Harry, Hermione and Ron become friends with Draco and worry about him as they notice his illness but Draco doesn't tell them anything. Before he dies Draco decides to do everything that he's ever wanted so he does a ton of crazy adventurous things too and he also takes on a secret identity that does charity work (the fic definitely had a secret identity tag) and Harry falls for Draco's secret identity and they go on dates. Now that I think about it im not sure if this was a Veela or just a soulmates fic...

Hi there! I’m not sure if you’re still in the fic finding game, but I’m hoping you can help. I’m looking for a post-war drarry fic in which Harry and Draco run into each other outside St Paul’s Cathedral (iirc). Harry is jogging and spots Draco in the crowd of muggles and immediately assumes he’s Up To Something, but turns out Draco’s just there to attend the service. They start grabbing coffee/meals together after church and fall in love as they get to know each other. Could have been an advent fic, or possibly part of a series… Please let me know if that rings any bells! Thanks xx

Sorry if you don’t do fic finds but maybe one of your followers would recognise this fic?

It’s an au set in an old period where Draco is born as a woman in high society and engaged to Theo Nott (who is a bastard and treats Draco like a trophy). Harry is always travelling but he comes home to attend a ball in the manor. He asks Draco for a dance. Then they develop a relationship in which Draco is appreciated, treated as an equal, and her needs (emotional and physical) are met. But it doesn’t last because Theo discovers them.

I’ve been looking for it for days but I’m afraid it might’ve been removed from ao3.

So there was this drarry fic, can’t find it now, can I get some help?

So I just remember like bits and pieces, and I’m hoping they’re all part of the same fanfiction.

Flamel kidnaps Luna at one point and steals her eyes and keeps them in a jar, he does that with everyone he kills, he’s really creepy.

So Draco and Harry are like soul mates and Harry’s magic, life force is damaged like somethings really wrong with it.

Snape is helping, and Lucius Malfoy who’s a bad guy, get tortured by him, like in this secret room only Malfoys can unlock with this potion that basically smells like death, so bad you wanna die

Harry also has this weird connection with the sorcerers stone and can tell it wasn’t destroyed, it wasn’t, Nicholas Flamels son, kills Nicholas and his wife and takes it for himself trying to figure out how to make another one.

The sorcerers stone it’s actually kinda evil, many many witches and wizards were killed and ritually sacrificed to make the first one.

Snape and Professer lupin get together in the end, after fighting these creatures with Harry and Draco, creatures that Flamel put around his base to keep anyone from interfering with his work.

The monster that Harry and Draco fight are attracted to their soulmate bond, and make it hard for them to fight.

1. looking for a fic that came out maybe between 2003-2009 on fanfiction.net. In it, Sirius and Remus are alive and dating, and they are Harry’s gay godfathers. They might give Harry a makeover. Harry and Draco fall in love, and I think that they’re still at school. Lucius and Voldemort are dating at Malfoy Manor and one of them has a thing for purses. Lucius swishes his hair a lot.

2. fic on ao3. It was a pre war drarry. Draco-centric where he befriended harry. I think it was time travel fix it, but im not very sure. Lucius and draco are arguing about Draco’s behavior and lucius smacks draco in the face. his ring cuts dracos cheek and he bleeds. Both him, narcissa, and draco are shocked over this since its not like lucius to hit draco. Narcissa yells at lucius and then tries to talk with draco in his room. Im pretty sure draco ran off to 12 grimmauld place after that and sirius and harry where there when he arrived. I think he arrives at hogwarts train with a bandage in his face. pretty sure draco was the one to get sirius out of Azkaban early

Found! 3. I read this fic a pretty long time ago, at least 5 years and I've been looking everywhere for it but can't find it. I think it was on ao3, eighth year, where Harry gets turned into a kid (around 7years maybe? Definitely under 10) and McGonagle makes Draco take care of him. Harry has big scars on his back from the Dursleys and they cause him to have seizures (? Or something like spasms maybe that are painful) fic is not The Dragon and The Golden Baby by jolly_love

Found! 4. looking for a fic I read in the past couple months on Ao3 where Harry has a menial job at Gringotts as a form of repayment. He knows his goblin co-workers pretty well but he’s not allowed to do any important work. He and Draco are tasked with opening a box that hold’s a witch’s will and the key turns out be a pendant his goblin boss is wearing and it’s revealed that he and the witch had a relationship. It was not part of a larger series and it was probably under 15k words. fic is not Reparations by Lomonaaeren

5. it’s years post war and Harry has been an auror abroad. I think maybe France? But he comes back for a case and is surprised to be working with Draco. Then he learns Draco is friends with all his friends, especially Luna and Neville. There’s a scene where Luna asks him to model for her cuz her model dropped out last min and Harry loses his mind over the photo the next day.

6. slowburn drarry fic! unfortunately all I remember is that Draco had been sorted into a house other than Slytherin, and Hermione often helped him with his anxiety being around crowds

7. Draco asked harry what would happen if the aurors come to take him to Azkaban for the use of his wand, and Harry answers that he would kill them all and them do it with Draco right there, I know that harry was morally grey but not dark harry

Found! 8. It’s an eventual Tom/Draco/Harry story. Good dark side. Harry ends up kidnapped/captive and they realise he is abused and start taking care of him. He is kept in a hotel in France I think. Dumbledore gets him back and uses a ritual to turn him into a puppet. Ginny and hermione support this. Ron eventually regrets and helps Draco let the Death Eaters into Hogwarts. They reverse the ritual on Harry. Dark side wins.

Found! 9. I don’t know which year, but it’s one of the fanfictions where Harry is the Heir to like 8 different families, and Narcissa teaches him etiquette. The thing that is stuck in my head is that he uses a special knot for his tie, which represents all the families. I think he was actually introduced to the Wizengamot and voting on stuff, but I might mix that up with other similar fanfictions. fic is not Birth of the Serpent King by Keira Marcos

10. post-war fic I read on Ao3 probably in 2021 or 2022. All I remember is that Harry accidentally travels through time and wants to again (for Draco obvs) but Hermione says even his small trip caused big changes and now there's this thing called Brexit.
