happy friday Kia!! how about a prompt for any da2 characters of your choice (if it vibes): “The poor fools don’t hear their echo in each other.”?

I'm reluctant to call this Fenris & Anders on account of them definitely not being friends (and the scene focusing more on Hawke & Isabela), but that's where my mind went.

As they trekked back to Kirkwall from Hawke’s formerly dragon-infested mine, Isabela once again wondered why she didn’t just head out to sea. There weren’t any dragons in the ocean, to her knowledge, and even if there were she could at least rinse all the blood off after the fight, unlike now where they were stuck hiking down the mountain as the blood slowly dried to them.

Add to that the dragon’s brood had likely eaten every living thing within a mile of the mine, leaving the world around them silent in a way that itched.

“Mages are not an inherent danger!” All was silent save for Fenris and Anders, of course, and in retrospect the itching might just be dragon’s blood drying in places it shouldn’t be, but the point stood. “A mage is no more dangerous than any man with a sword!”

“Oh I don’t know about that, Sparkle-fingers,” Isabela called over her shoulder. “I remember you at the Pearl and you were certainly a danger there! The screams-”

“Must you egg them on?” Hawke’s weary sigh was only barely audible over the rousing argument that continued to flare behind them.

“Of course not, but it’s entertaining,” Isabela said “Besides, you made it quite clear I’m not allowed to flirt with Fenris in front of you anymore. His ears turn almost as red when he’s yelling at Anders so really I’m settling.”

“Yes, flirting with my lover in front of me is generally considered rather gauche,” Hawke snorted. “And the real reason?”

“What, is wanting to see Fenris blush not good enough? Fine. I’m hoping if they go on long enough they might hate fuck.”

“Isabela!�� Hawke groaned, pushing a hand through his sweat soaked hair. “Seriously. I’ll buy drinks if you stop. So why are you doing it?”

Why did Hawke have to try to get so real now of all times?

“Because neither of them would know freedom if it bit them on the balls,” Isabela sighed finally. “They both want the same thing and it’s pissing me off that neither of them actually understands that.”

“No, I’m pretty sure they understand it,” Hawke sighed. "Sort of. They both want freedom, they just think they have different definitions of what freedom is."

Fenris snark cut through from behind. "Quiet, mage. You've long since proven your inability to keep your magic to yourself."

"I didn't hear you complaining when I healed you after that dragon tried to bite your leg off!"

"Then you should consider healing your ears."

Isabela rolled her eyes and gave Hawke a look, but he just snorted. "They had this exact conversation about Fenris pulling a templars heart out two weeks ago. The poor fools don't hear their echo in each other."

"Which is why I egg them on," Isabela said. "Maybe if they talk more they'll finally realize."

"Doubt it. It's been nearly seven years. I think we're stuck with them like this."

Do you take your medications in the morning or at night? I have meds I have to take both in the morning and before bed + with dinner.

Do you know anyone who has ten cats? My sister's parents-in-law own WELL over ten, they have an infestation inside and outside.

Have you ever had a cat? I grew up with cats; as a matter of fact, we also had an outdoor infestation growing up. I hope that doesn't make anyone think ill of my parents, obviously that is a very serious issue that I now have very strong feelings about, but my mom didn't want to devastate us kids by taking them away. This eventually did happen when I was a teenager, and it was one of the most heartbreaking things that has happened to me. The cats were there one school morning, gone when I got home because our neighbor complained. It's because of this history that I try to treat Ashley's MIL with understanding and compassion regarding this topic, but it's hard when the cats are suffering, too.

Have you ever had a dog? Yes, we've had a good few. We have a rescued chihuahua now, she's a sweetheart.

Have you ever any other kind of animal? Oh yes, loads other. Guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats, ball pythons, a Chinese water dragon, iguana, a rabbit, fish, hermit crabs, possibly more I'm forgetting. Pets have always been in my life.

Have you ever had a pet rock? I suppose possibly as a child, but not to my memory, and certainly never seriously.

Do you have any significantly older siblings? Yeah, both my parents have children from relationships they had prior to each other.

Which parent do you feel the most affection for? My mom, pretty easily. She raised me and has provided for me unending, even into my "I should be taking care of myself" age. My dad did not raise me.

Are you diabetic? No. I was pre-diabetic for a while, but the last time my A1C was checked, it was 100% normal so I am no longer considered pre-diabetic!

THEY STARED THROUGH THE SLANTED HOLES of the mask, annoyed by no end. coming to westeros for this to entertain the false king they could've better spent their time nurturing the dragons or remained in dorne, or never left braavos to begin with. the berries that once stained their hair had turned closer to a pink than the auburn color is once was, the dress itchy and mask sat uncomfortably on the bridge of their nose. in short rhaella wasn't happy yet kia had to pretend to be excited for the chance to enjoy this . it wasn't working well by their expression.

RIP, Akira Toriyama <1955 - 2024>

Tôi nhớ đâu đó hồi mình học lớp 10 (2003-2004), NXB Kim Đồng có tổ chức một cuộc thi viết dành cho bạn đọc, cho đăng tác phẩm được chọn rải rác sau các tập Dragon Ball (ấn bản mới cho giai đoạn nói trên). Tôi bèn viết một bài cảm ơn Akira Toriyama, hí hoáy vẽ hình Goku tuổi trẻ ngồi trên cân đẩu vân, nhờ anh gia sư dạy toán gửi hộ lá thư, hồi hộp chờ đợi, rồi quên bẵng... Cho đến khi nhận tin mình đạt giải, bài đã được đăng, thì tôi mới hốt hoảng vì... phải nhận hàng trăm lá thư bạn đọc Dragon Ball khắp cả nước gửi về. Trong đó có một số ít bạn bè tôi trao đổi thường xuyên về sau, như cô bạn Trần Thái Phương Thảo (Kontum).

Nằm ở các trang phụ lục của ấn bản thời bấy giờ, xen kẽ giữa những tác phẩm đạt giải là các trang nhật ký của Akira tiên sinh. Chuyện sinh hoạt thường ngày của một tác giả lớn thực ra cũng không mấy... lớn lao. Tản bộ công viên, lạc trong siêu thị, nuôi mèo,... Những thứ vặt vãnh nhưng có lẽ phần nào tiếp thêm năng lượng cho cỗ máy sáng tạo trong ông.

Akira Toriyama là thiên tài đằng sau franchise Dragon Ball, Dr. Slump. Ngưỡng mộ tiền bối Osamu Tezuka bao nhiêu, ông gây ảnh hưởng lên lớp đàn em, điển hình như các tác giả của One Piece và Naruto, bấy nhiêu. Mấy ai biết được sự nghiệp trở thành hoạ sĩ manga chớm nở khi ông lâm vào cảnh túng quẫn ở tuổi 23, bất đắc dĩ phải tham gia vào một cuộc thi vẽ truyện tranh trên một tạp chí địa phương.

Tin tức gần nhất tôi đọc về ông là việc người ta dấy lên nghi ngờ rằng ông là người phân biệt chủng tộc: không một nhân vật da màu nào xuất hiện trong cả bộ Bảy Viên Ngọc Rồng. Tôi phì cười khi đọc cái tố cáo đó. Phần vì nó quá khiêng cưỡng (nhất là chạm đến sáng tạo thì những tuyên bố như vậy là quá vô lý), phần vì đầy các nhân vật da đen trong Dragon Ball kia mà (Staff Officer Black, Mr. Popo).

Nếu thế giới này được lập trình sẵn như ai đó từng nghi ngờ, những cột mốc lịch sử liên tiếp được liệt kê trong "We didn't start the fire" được định đoạt từ trước, thì Bảy Viên Ngọc Rồng hệt như một huyền thoại không thể không diễn ra trong tiến trình phát triển đó. Nó là một điều gần như tất yếu, dù cho có mượn cốt Tây Du Ký của Ngô Thừa Ân, hay gì gì đi nữa... Nó nhất định phải xuất hiện như một "instant success" (mà đời người ai cũng khao khát dựng nên).

Một kỷ niệm khác về bộ truyện này xảy ra khi tôi xem bản live action của Thái Lan, hồi còn nhỏ xíu. Emperor Pilaf trong phiên bản này làm tôi run sợ đến mất ăn mất ngủ. Kame House đẹp đến nỗi tôi muốn mình sẽ lấy nó làm khuôn mẫu cho quán cà phê sau này của mình...

Tiên sinh Akira đã về thiên cổ. Nhưng Bảy Viên Ngọc Rồng và các sáng tạo của ông vẫn sẽ còn mãi. Tôi tự hào vì ấu thơ mình gắn liền với các sáng tạo của ông và sẽ tiếp tục cái "truyền thống" hỏi chuyện ngô nghê mỗi khi gặp một đồng nghiệp/đối tác đến từ Nhật Bản, dù đã biết tỏng câu trả lời: "Anh/chị đọc Bảy Viên Ngọc Rồng rồi chứ?"

Character Intro: Kakia (Kingdom of Ichor)

Nicknames- Neon Vice by the people of Olympius

Kia by the others in the pantheon

Age- 27 (immortal)

Location- Mania district, New Olympus

Personality- She personally describes herself as a "filthy soul with an even filthier mouth." She's vain, cunning, manipulative, and a non-conformist. Despite her outward persona, she's been in a serious relationship.

As the goddess of vice & moral wrongdoing, she has the standard abilities of a goddess. She can shapeshift into a person's temptation, has an innate sense of a person's vice/bad habit, & can induce someone to commit a crime or a sin (seven deadly sins).

Kia lives in a penthouse apartment in the Mania neighborhood of New Olympus. She also spends time with her boyfriend at his mansion in Sparta. She has a pet dragon- a boy named Drago.

She sometimes helps a few of the law & justice gods- getting into the mind of criminals & helping a bit with the interrogations.

Her go-to drink is a ruby red-tini. She also likes beer, negronis, manhattans, and rum & cokes. Her usual from The Roasted Bean is an olympian sized dark chocolate mocha.

In the pantheon, Kia is friends with Adikia (goddess of injustice and wrongdoing), Koros (god of surfeit & disdain), Palaestra (goddess of wrestling), Momus, Dyssebeia (goddess of ungodliness & impiety), Palioxis (goddess of backrush & retreat), Oizys (goddess of misery & depression), Enyo (goddess of war, destruction, bloodlust, & devastation), Chi (Pannychis) (goddess of nightlife festivities), Atë, Lyssa (goddess of rage & frenzy), Keres (goddess of violent death), Mania (goddess of insanity), Limos (goddess of starvation), Hybris, The Furies, Aisa (goddess of lot & fate), Dione, The Gray Sisters, Philotes (goddess of sex, friendship, & affection), Menoetius (Titan god of rage & rash actions), & Nemesis. She thinks that the goddesses Eusebeia (Bea) and Pistis are anal goody two-shoes.

For other work, she models for Hot Intoxication (Methe's cosmetics brand) (loves the lipsticks black brandy and dusty rosè), atelier fantaisie, Delicious Xtasy & Heavenly Spark as well as being a spokesperson for Plutopack (Hades' cigarette brand). Kia also produces many true crime programs on TV.

She loves snacking on hot cinnamon hard candies and gummies & her favorite treat is the Cocktails on Ice tequila hot chocolate ice cream.

Kia has been with Alastor (god of blood feuds & vengeance) for a few years. They've been thinking about getting a place together in The Underworld. They have also partaked in a particular favorite vice of hers- public sex. They once did it on Zeus' throne during a Summer Solstice Ball.

She absolutely LOVES spicy food. The hotter, the spicier, the better! Kia is even a spokesperson for Lyssa's hot sauce brand. Some of her favorite foods include a large cheese pizza (topped with red peppers, jalapenos, pepperoni, chilies, & chorizo and drizzled with spicy tzatziki sauce), and burning inferno fried chicken. Kia also enjoys her boyfriend's pierogies.

In her free time, she loves doing graffiti art, getting a new tattoo or piercing, riding her motorcycle & dragon, clubbing, and playing the electric guitar.

--- Browsing through the shop had been interesting, to say the least; cats were so easily amused and there were baubles and knick-knacks everywhere. Occasionally being so thick tended to work against her in enclosed spaces and so, feline was particularly mindful of where she shimmied, the flick of her tail, though peridot optics were narrowed in predatory fashion, cat’s gaze shifting as she spied the man at the store’s counter. Tall and about as foreign as she, exotic in a sense, though perhaps it was his fashion choices- or the fact that he was with a crystal ball?

What is it that makes a person fall in love? Who ever had the answer to why the heart one day begins to thump a little faster when you see a particular person? Why one day a simple friendship is suddenly forever altered by a change of feelings from the blue? Who is to blame for the strands a desperate soul throws to the winds in hopes it catches its match?

Can you change what fate decides? or does it all dwindle down to the simplistic needs of basic animal biology to have companionship?

Rosie has been in love before. She tasted its bliss and basked in the euphoric highs that would have been the closest to heaven a person like her could have ever been. Rosie knew love so intimately, held onto it with such desperation, she believed not a damn thing in the world could ever hurt her again. But that was one of life’s greatest lessons; For to love was to fall into its deceptive arms of comfort, knowing well there lay a sword to fall on should you lay down your heart in callus hands. Love held the power to heal you, to build you, and break you down all in the same breath. And now she stood the result of its breaks, a shambled, pessimistic deity trapped within a human skin. A broken doll. Giving advice to a mother with a heart that still dares to love. A bastard chicken , of all things to have tied herself to. Its been a long but pleasant day for them, spent catching up and tiring out the little halfling tyke on their little adventure through Kia’s lands. Rosie appreciates her company, she loved Suzaku, but good things had a tendency to vanish quickly in the Moon’s life -- this moment was no different. She knew that question was coming from a mile away, a thought that ate at Kia throughout the day as they walked and talked, nagging at the back of her mind. Her shifting, her wandering eyes, the way her fine lips opened and closed with practiced words never spoken, did not go unnoticed. Now at last they spill out with all its hesitance, with the practiced pacing of a politician, carefully asked in the sanctuary of two friends that shared almost everything. For some odd reason, Rosie finds herself winded by the question.

She must bite her tongue before her cynicism comes pouring out. In fact, it takes everything in her power not to twist her face and scowl in disgust at the outrageous question that should have had an obvious answer for anyone listening ; The reality of this was far more complex than a simple yes or no answer, so she settles for balling her fist til her knuckles turn white and holds in those words with her stolen hair she managed to retain in. Kia is delicate, she knows, as any woman would be when the heart full of misplaced love is raw from its emotional misuse. If it had been anyone else, Rosie would have bitten down with cruelty of the harshest truths, to call her a fool and roll her eyes at the notion of sympathy for a bastard king of pea brained birds just because he was left twisted by childhood. But this Rosie knows love, and how blinding and controlling love can be when it has latched its silken strand and binds itself to another. Now there came a child born from it, and the dragon is the bird in the cage, pinning after a man who will never appreciate her the way she deserved to be. All these words jumbled in her mind makes it difficult for the cat to filter through and pick just the right ones that can be strong together well enough to cushion the crushing blow Kia needs to hear. She’s torn with the bias of bitter resentment, and the instinct to be a comforting friend. For a while, Rosie can’t bring herself to look at the Queen. Because if she looks, everything she thinks may be conveyed too well through her eyes that Kia will shatter. She fixes her gaze instead to the colorful sky, a mural of pinks and oranges as the sun begins settling along the horizon, shades that could smooth her temper and malice. Softening her worn edges well enough, the angel sucks in a breath into her desperate lungs, flaring her nostrils in subtle irritation, before letting it slip away with the breeze and her negativity.

A Moon’s purpose is to bring and keep balance. Balance it.

“ It isnt exactly so clean cut as a yes or no answer, despite what the people around here whisper to each other…” She starts. Yes, the sonar ears on her head can hear a whole lot when people have no idea just what cat ears can pick up. The mentioned featured twitched and folded back slightly , her tail swaying with emotion she would not convey in words. She sniffs and turns slightly, enough to reach her hand out and stroke through Suzaku’s blonde tufts, stare shifting to study the sleeping boy intently, “ As Queen, you’re tied to your duty to your people . But being a Queen doesn't mean you’re not a living being with feelings. Its the human part-” She stumbles slightly, “ Eh, its the person you are that helps you empathize with your subjects and the people around you. It shouldn’t come as a shock that the empathy can be spread further to the companions you work with, especially when politics are thrown into the mix.” Adding politics and love certainly made for a slippery slope that don't make the conversation any easier. In the midst of her reply, Kia’s crackling voice as she heaved a sob tore Rosie’s focus upward to her dear friend just as the tears pooled and spilled over her round cheeks. An unsightly appearance, red faced and blubbering, for a queen.. A sight that seers through Rosie’s skin and makes her wince, in both a flush of bubbling wrath and the cold chill of empathy that washes over those flames. How could anyone ever expect a woman to kill the father of her child? No matter the nature of it, no matter how the celestial herself felt, Rosie cant blame Kia for her nature of seeing the good in people. There had been something between her and Shahin that passes as a secret only lovers will ever know and understand, no matter how much the bastard pretends that there is nothing. Fighting her trembling anger, Rosie transforms and redirects it to shuffle herself higher on the grassy hillside to pull Kia within her arms. Careful not to disturb the sleeping youth, Rosie’s brows knit together and crease her forehead in rippling waves of worry as she cradled the Queen. Stroking through the silken raven hair, she pressed her cheek upon the crown and purred soothingly,

“ Kia, I understand you. Trust me, I do. I know what love can do, what it makes you think and feel.. But it can’t be used as an excuse for him.” She whispers, gentle yet stern, her eyes falling closed, “ Even still, I nor anybody can force you to act against your heart… So, if you really believe there is something in him that can be saved or reasoned with,” Her scarred palm bearing the cross rose to wipe the tears away from Kia’s cheeks, relinquishing her venom to a kinder alternative for the Queen’s sake, “ Then I’ll help you. I can try to change his ways with some convincing, a little at a time. But , if all else fails..”

Rosie sits up straighter, wills herself to meet the crimson gaze of the Dragon with solemnity as she held her by the shoulder,

“ I won’t ask you to kill him.

But I will do what I must,

if I feel its for the safety of you and Suzaku. And Your kingdom.”

LOOKING FOR A LONG TERM RP PARTNER

Hey! My name is Kia, female she/her pronouns and over 18, and I’m actually pretty new to roleplaying. I’ve only been doing it for a few months now, but don’t let that dissuade you from rping with me! I’m trying to improve, you know the saying, practice makes perfect.

About me and how I roleplay

I live in the EST timezone and I’m generally pretty open for the day to respond. Sometimes may be busy, but I’ll respond as soon as I can.

I’ve only used Discord to rp before, but I’m willing to do email or Google docs if you would prefer that. However, I would rather use Discord or Tumblr Messenger for OOC

That being said, I’m totally game for OOC talks! I love spazzing over our characters and anything that happens. Sending music or drawings, I’m about it. I’m hoping to make some friendships out of this too.

I roleplay in 3rd person and length doesn’t really matter to me. A few paragraphs to a few one liners is cool, especially if our characters are talking. All I’m asking for is some effort and I will readily do the same.

I like having a huge over arching plot, but have some subplots going on. Normally because I think up a lot of little ideas for things that can be explored on their own.

I like to either double or have one main pairing and then have some side characters, just to help keep things interesting. I’ll play as many characters as we need, I like to explore multiple characters. My characters are usually poc and lgbtq+.

Looking to have F/F as a main paring, any other relationships can be whatever ship that happens. While I may or may not make sexual innuendos and stuff like that, I do not rp actual smut, I will only do fade to black.

I rp original characters. While I prefer to do original plots and worldbuild, I also like to enter oc’s into fandom universes too. Canon characters can be side characters that appear or are mentioned every once in a while. Letting you know now, I don’t personally use face claims, I like to draw my oc’s since it’s normally rather difficult to find someone who looks like what I envisioned for my characters.

What I’m looking for in a partner

You have to be 18+, I just don’t feel comfortable rping with minors as an adult.

No ghosting! I understand life gets in the way sometimes and you may have to step back for a while. Just let me know real quick and I’ll understand. Or if you lose interest just tell me. I will try and let you know if I’m going to be busy for a while too.

Please participate in plotting and worldbuilding with me. It sucks whenever I feel like I’m the one putting in most of the effort. I like to create large worlds together and it’s rather difficult to do so on your own.

Please be able to reply at least once or twice a week. Sometimes responses take a while to craft, I’ve definitely needed a day or two to be able to think of what to write before. If you can respond multiple times a day, even better!

Be open to dark and mature themes. Violence, swearing, alcohol and drug use. I love angst so sometimes things happen. However, if you have any limits, don’t be afraid to tell me. I would never want to make you feel uncomfortable. I want this to be fun for the both of us.

Original Plots and Fandoms

As I said before, I’m super into original plots. I have a few plots in mind already, but if you have something you’d like to do too, let me know. For now I’ll keep the ideas pretty basic and explain in more detail when we start talking

Two witches are from another realm are raised on Earth as normal girls. A prophecy states that they are soulmates and are destined to put an end to an some evil that is waging a war in their home realm. Whether they are up for any of that or they just want to continue living their normal lives is anyone’s guess.

Two girls go on a cross continental drive searching for a guy that one girl thinks she’s in love with and the other is the guys younger sister. Over the course of their journey they find that they are slowly falling for each other. Spoiler alert, the guy is a douche that left them both behind at some point.

A group of youtubers meet and form a friendship, except for two of them. They don’t like each other and can always be found throwing shade at one another. But they have the same friends so they hang out and their subscribers like when they are together. Basically this explores the different type of relationships that form in the group, misunderstandings and drama. Over time the subscribers figure out the real reason the two don’t like each other. This could even be something even more than doubles.

I also have 3 Gods plots too, but I don’t feel like putting them down b/c this post is pretty long already I feel. If you wanna hear about those too, just message me about them. If enough people show interest about them I’ll make another post about them.

But yea, if you have any ideas or want to brainstorm different ones with me, I’m cool with that. I like are fantasy, historical, mythology (Egyptian and Greek specifically, but willing to learn about others), mafia/gang, science fiction (specially aliens and space), soulmates (that being said, I’m big on slow burn), angst, supernatural/paranormal, spies/assassins, superheroes. If I didn’t list something you’re interested in, then bring it up with me when you message me and we can talk about it.

Fandoms I’m interested in are Dragon Ball Z/Super, The Mummy, Avatar the Last Airbender, Vampire Academy, Uncharted, possibly Percy Jackson (haven’t read the books, so it wouldn’t have anything to do with those characters), MCU (I stopped watching after Black Panther because in my mind, everyone I love is still alive! Team Iron! Still salty about Civil War). So yea, willing to insert our characters into a pre existing plot line, make up a new plot but keeping it in the same universe. Canon characters can be side characters, I’m cool with that.
