Theodore is 100% the doting type of lover.

Not at first, though. He was terribly scared of falling in love, because all he had as a frame of reference was his mother and father. In my eyes, the only love Theodore received as a child was from his mother, from the way she’d comb his hair to the way she’d heal his wounds if he ever got hurt. Naturally, that means when Theodore fell in love with you, he did the very same things.

He’d show his love for you in the way he carries your favourite sweets in his bag for whenever you’re feeling bad. The way he fixes a plate for you at dinner before he does it for himself. The way he makes you take a break when you’re overworking yourself.

He stares at you dumbfoundedly the first time you do the same for him. He freezes, and he doesn’t know what to say. He practically almost runs away, leaving you to think you’ve done something wrong. See, for Theodore acts of service are like the purest form of love. When you do the same for him, you’re declaring you love him irrevocably, and he thinks he doesn’t deserve that.

So he ghosts you. For a day or two. And those two days are hell for him. He cannot get over the idea that he isn’t deserving of your love. After a small confrontation in his room, and a few tears, you assure him he is worthy of it. That’s the very same day he knows he wants to spend the rest of his life with you. You made Theodore feel as though loving him was as easy as breathing. And it was, how couldn’t it be?

The next day, Theodore took you out to hogsmeade and you both browsed some pretty little rings. He wanted to get you a promise ring, and you fell in love with a beautiful emerald cut sapphire ring. It’s undoubtedly an engagement ring, far too expensive to be anything else. You marvelled at the display whilst he paid for the small gold one you had chosen as the promise ring.

When you both go to grab a butterbeer. He slips out under the guise of having to go to the bathroom.

He returns back no more than 5 minutes later, with his wallet considerably lighter, and one sapphire ring encased in a ornate black box.

Biding it’s time in his drawer, until the day you wear it on your ring finger.

MATTHEO RIDDLE

Being with Mattheo is like living in a perpetual comedy sketch. Every time you dazzle him with your Ravenclaw wit, he can't help but playfully roll his eyes and joke about feeling like a first-year struggling with a broomstick. "Seriously, babe, how do you do it?" he'd exclaim, his amusement clear in his eyes. "You've got more brainpower than a room full of Hogwarts professors, and here I am, struggling to remember which potion turns a mouse into a snuffbox."

Despite his self-deprecating humor, you can see the genuine admiration in his eyes, knowing that he's completely smitten with your cleverness. And hey, if being the smart one in the relationship means you get to see that adorable look of amazement on his face, then maybe being a Ravenclaw isn't so bad after all.

TOM RIDDLE

Tom, on the other hand, is a different story altogether. With his competitive nature and Slytherin pride, he can't stand the thought of being outsmarted by anyone, especially his own girlfriend. Every time you happen to know something he doesn't, he's quick to brush it off with a dismissive wave of his hand. "Oh, so you think you're the expert now, do you?" he'll say, a hint of annoyance creeping into his voice. "Just remember who's supposed to be the genius in this relationship."

Despite his competitive edge, you can't help but find it amusing how seriously he takes it all. After all, who knew that trivia night with your boyfriend would turn into a high-stakes battle for intellectual supremacy?

THEODORE NOTT

Theodore, on the other hand, couldn't be more different. He absolutely adores your cleverness, finding your sassy remarks and witty banter completely irresistible. "My darling beauty with brains," he'll say, flashing you a charming smile. "You keep me on my toes, love, and I wouldn't have it any other way."

With Theodore, every conversation feels like a game of verbal chess, with each witty comeback and clever remark only adding to the sparks flying between you. And hey, if being a smartass means getting to see that adorable grin on his face, then sign you up for Ravenclaw house forever.

LORENZO BERKSHIRE

Lorenzo, with his laid-back demeanor and sharp sense of humor, finds your intellect both amusing and slightly irritating at times. "Do you ever turn that brain off, or is it just permanently stuck in overdrive?" he'll tease, though there's a fondness in his eyes that tells you he wouldn't have it any other way.

Despite his occasional annoyance, you know that he secretly loves your quick wit and sharp mind, even if it means enduring the occasional eye roll or sarcastic remark.

DRACO MALFOY

And then there's Draco, the epitome of Slytherin arrogance and charm. While he may grumble about your Ravenclaw intelligence, secretly, you know he's secretly impressed by your cleverness. "Bloody hell, can't you dumb it down a bit ?" he'll joke, though there's a hint of genuine awe in his tone. "But hey, I guess it's better than having a girlfriend who thinks Quidditch is a type of biscuit."

With Draco, every conversation feels like a battle of wits, with each snarky remark and witty comeback only adding to the undeniable chemistry between you. And while he may be a bit of a brat at times, you wouldn't have him any other way. After all, what's a little friendly rivalry between Slytherin sweethearts?

That bit of Deathly Hallows where Draco is missing and Voldemort immediately assumes he ran off to befriend Harry and when Lucius tries to insist Draco wouldn't do that Voldemort's just basically like "lol ok u tell yourself that buddy but I'm not buying it" just absolutely sends me.

Voldemort was really out there in canon like 'i don't believe in love except for whatever it is that harry potter and draco malfoy have going on because wow. even i can't deny that.'

Like look at this. this is wild. And the best part is HE'S RIGHT. Draco did in fact run off to find Harry Potter. And then becomes absolutely hysterical and completely loses his composure when faced with the fact that Harry might get hurt.

His eyes had widened when he heard you whimper as you cried. And that was the first time he actually questioned himself.

… was plagued by nightmares that night, when he laid in bed. Nightmares of losing you. In the morning, he had to accept the truth: He was going to lose you if he didn’t change.

… would change slowly, as it proved to be more difficult to let old habits die than he expected. He wouldn’t talk about it or apologize to you in fear of making you realize what big of an asshole he had been to you – he couldn’t risk losing you. He would only apologize and tell you he’d change if you were to fight.

… is confused when you angrily shut the door behind you, standing in the middle of his room, all alone, with his mouth agape.

… would immediately take it back a notch and suppress the urge to control and manipulate you.

… in the end he would sit you down and talk to you – heart to heart. He would push aside his pride and talk about his insecurities with you and tell you that he wanted to change.

… however, if he is worried, he’ll entertain your wish for him to change occasionally. Giving into some of your demands once in a while if it works out for him only to go back to his usual ways.

… will have you trapped that way. If you somehow try to leave him, he’ll still have his trusted wand to assist him.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about, doll. Now be a good girl and come here – you know I’d never harm you in any way.”

I used to feel kind of embarrassed for liking Draco so much when he’s a jerk and a bully, but it’s occurred to me recently that the books are written from Harry’s point of view.

If I feel sympathetic towards Draco after the events of books 6 & 7, it’s because Harry presented him in a sympathetic light.

If I believe that Draco was under duress when he tortured a man, it’s because Harry told me he was forced to do it and he hated every second of it.

If I think Draco is attractive, it’s because Harry told me he is.

I’m just seeing Draco through Harry’s eyes.

Okay, so I have this au (fade into you au)

Harry is raised by Sirius, who explains early on why Voldemort had tried to kill him, how the wizarding world is very prejudiced, and how friendship and understanding can save a generation.

Harry is still a horocrux in this au, and has had dreams of another reality where people die for him, lives are ruined, and a mad man is resurrected. He doesn’t like that version of reality very much.

So he decides to save the wizarding world one angsty teenager at a time, unknowingly making a wee Draco fall head over heels in love with him!

Mattheo Riddle, under that hardened exterior, is just a boy who wants to be loved.

For someone who isn’t religious, he prays every day, thanking the heavens above for you. To say you were his saviour would be an understatement. You quickly became the life force that flowed through his veins.

Comong from an unstable background with absent parents and no guidance, he became accustomed to broken noses, split knuckles and bruises far earlier than any young kid should be. It was a rather disheartening situation, and at the mere age of 12 Mattheo had been sure he knew what his future was.

Dead in a ditch somewhere, as result of either a nasty drunken fight or his fathers actions. Both as bad as eachother, and both equally as probable.

He was near impossible to get through to. You started off as good friends, but every moment of self doubt and sabotage led to Mattheo shutting you out. The cycle repeated until it bought you to tears for the first (but not last) time.

Seeing you cry only solidified Mattheo’s belief that he was a monster; an unlovable nobody who would ruin someone like you. You would be far better off without him.

You however, were far too stubborn for your own good and refused to let that get in the way. After a few months of continuously fighting and making up, Mattheo finally admitted his feelings to you. He all but broke down sobbing, repeating how he wasn’t good for you and that he didn’t deserve your love, murmuring the words as though they were a mantra drilled into his head, the result of years of neglect.

You held him tightly until his tears were no more. He doesn’t thinks he’s ever cried in front of a person before. You made him feel safe.

That became his favourite place to be. Holding onto you, his arms wrapped around your waist with his head resting in your chest. Listening to the rhythm of your heart knowing that every beat was a reason for him to carry on trying, a reason for him to not give up. The hope for a future, with you, was enough to give him hope.

For a boy who was so rough around the edges, you touched him like he was the most fragile thing in the world, and looked at him as though he had hung the sun.

He would toy with your fingers as you both huddled into the roof of the owlery, a thin blanket and a poorly casted warming charm enveloping the two of you as you’d overlook the night sky. He’d press a chaste kiss to the back of your hand. You admired the stars, and he admired you.

He was yours, unconditionally.
