NOTE TO SELF: The smoked chicken is my favorite item here. Yams were too sweet, but the squash was loaded with pepper and I'd be good with doubling up on them if I'm going to skip the carb-heavy sides.

Pickpocketing Adventures

A little backstory: I'm a lv.3 Drow Rogue that has a double proficiency in pickpocketing, resulting in a +9 to my rolls. My party has killed a first boss which we were never supposed to kill, and we were walking away with upwards of 18,000 platnum pieces combined. I rolled shitty on my looting roll, so i only had around five thousand gold.

Me: I go up behind the our Druid and swipe her coin purse off of her.

DM: Okay, roll to pickpocket.

Me: *Rolls a 17* With my plus nine, i have a 26.

Whole Table: *is astounded, our teifling druid is very distraught*

DM: Alright. Druid, you have to roll at least a 17, 18, or 19 to even slightly feel the weight of your coin purse being taken from you.

Druid: *rolls an 11* NO!!

Me: *Cackles*

DM: You're slightly pushed to the side by your short, Drow companion on her way to the armorsmiths table. You feel a slight carress of your ass and feel a little better about yourself.

Me: *Buys mastorwork studded leather armor, a mastorwork dagger, a masterwork rapier, gets Armor enchanted twice, along with the dagger, takes an extra 150 platnum for myself*

Me: I'm gonna put it back on her belt.

DM: Okay, you approach the Druid who is at the bar drinking a beer. Roll to pickpocket.

Me: *rolls a 4* Thirteen.

Druid: *Rolls a nat 1*

DM: The beer that you're drinking tastes SO GOOD, and after a few sips you're completely shitfaced. You feel another, firmer carress of your ass and turn to see the Rogue standing there. Roll for charisma.

Me: *Rolls a 3*

Druid: *Rolls a nat 20*

The rest of the night: I end up buying her a few more beers and she suspected nothing.

World Buildiny June: Day 4 and 5

To make up for the lack of one yesterday here is a double hit. First off is currency, the standard d&d aray of currency is copper, silver, gold and platnum. Each copper piece is circular and easy to mass produce, each silver piece is shaped like an octogon, gold pieces are circular and are lined with a colour, depending on where it was made, a gold piece made in Valgroth has a silver coloured outline, where as one made in Paldaria has a yellow highlighted outline. Finally platnum pieces are shaped like dishes, and are the largest coin of the group, this makes them more impressive looking when stacked and makes them harder to forge, all platnum pieces are made in the capital of the respected region. Now for day 5. Any bard worth there salt knows about the Brindergrim contest known as the "Echo's Plunge", this annual event is held in the middle of summer and it is up to the contestees to create the most satisfying noise in Brindergrims' main entrance hole. Contestents are rated on 3 main catagories, volume, quality, and flair, the first is obvious, be loud as hell, the second makes sure that not anyone can join and the sound that is created has to be satifying to listen to and not a cat on a blackboard, finally flair, this is a chance for the contestents to add their own personal touch to there entry. The prizes for this contest is a plaque with the winner's name being hung up in the music hall of Paldaria's university, guranteed work in the mines for 2 years, and 500 platnum. The winner of this year's contest was a dwarf cleric of balgoroth by the name of Thu'drelk Stonebrak, who won the 49th contest by beltching his god's hymn while shooting explosive potions out of the air with his crossbow. Romour has it that next years contest will have a special prize for the winner.
