What are your thoughts on Dorothy Fahn (VA behind Rinea and Mercedes)?

I LOVE Dorothy Fahn’s voice for Rinea and Mercedes! She’s also the English VA for Meryl in Trigun (an anime I haven’t fully watched yet but I have a bud who is watching the new installment and reading the manga, so this fact goes out to her, lol). I will say as a side note that I think her Mercie summer alt had gotten TOO high-pitched and baby-like, but in Three Hopes she really pulled it in and found a nice balance.

Performance-wise, her voice is just the sweetest thing to listen to, both for Mercie and Rinea. As Rinea, her voice is a little lower and more clear-spoken, but still incredibly mild and demure; you can hear the personality that drew in Berkut. As Mercie, she’s quieter with a higher voice, that really ties into her being the “mom-friend” of the Blue Lions group. And both are convincing performances, which makes her final lines as Rinea with Berkut, about finding their empire, that much more heartbreaking.

I think she fits both of them perfectly, they’re very similar characters so there’s no real reason she’d need to change her voice up TOO much.

Range… well between Mercie and Rinea, it’s about the same, and you can tell it’s her. Like I said, she plays Merry in Trigun who is the more straight business lady between her and Tilly, so there’s SOME bit of range. But again, strictly between Mercie and Rinea there isn’t much.

I’d put Dorothy at an 8/10. It’s low odds, but I hope we somehow get base Rinea added to FEH.

Persefone takes the form of a tall, beautiful woman with long, elegant copper hair that stands up in several places on her head.

She is tattooed with a leaf pattern on her neck, left shoulder and right wrist, a pair of spiked bracelets and beaded earrings in both ears with several smaller piercings. Her attire is quite formal and extravagant, a short dress with a collar that reaches her upper chest and decorated badges. Lastly, she wears a white cloak and a pair of boots that reach up her leg.

Personality:

Persephone seems to be a very calm and loving individual, she is a very respected and feared goddess along with Hades in the Greek pantheon.

Persephone seems to love Hades and his subdites too much, she believes that among all the bad that they think there is in the Underworld there is something good so she watches over all the beings in that place. Also, Persephone tries to stop in any way her beloved Hades, (Who believes it is his duty as the eldest to avenge his brothers in case they die so he participates in the seventh round of Ragnarok).

Despite being queen, Persephone does not feel worthy of that position due to her kindness and naivety.

It could be seen that when Hades burst into laughter, Persephone looked totally delighted to see him in that state.

After the death of Hades, she was blinded by anger and hatred; thus cursing the humans and the Valkyries while Radamantis tried to keep her serene.

ABILITIES

Physical abilities:

Godly Strength: Although not as powerful she is quite fast among the gods, Persephone possesses immense physical strength that with an accurate strike with her bare hand or with her spear, can be a deadly attack for a human while for the gods it would be a light attack.

Godly Speed & Reflexes: Persephone is able to see all the movements of the fighters no matter how fast they were and showed great speed attacking Radamantis before he took her to calm her down after the death of the lord Hades.

Mental abilities:

Indomitable Will: Persephone has shown immense willpower in trying to stop Hades and after his death, seeking revenge. She has always put her husband's welfare before her own safety.

Intelligence: Because Hades was an extremely intelligent individual, he taught Persephone to be a keen observer of her surroundings and her opponent. She is capable of devising a counterattack while observing the fights.

Fighting abilities:

Apprentice fighter: Persephone is not a deity who likes to fight but possesses a slight knowledge of martial arts, like Hades, she can predict the next move of fighters.

Spear proficiency: Persephone wields her spear with a degree of divine skill and dexterity, being able to deliver countless blows in the blink of an eye with precision.

Supernatural abilities:

Semi-immortality: As a God, Persephone is incapable of dying of old age.

Divine physiology: As a Goddess, Persephone possesses physical abilities far superior to those of any ordinary Human, as well as being immune to damage from deadly weapons. However, she can be damaged by unarmed attacks from individuals with superhuman strength and blows from Divine Weapons.

Techniques:

Hades Serpents (Bonds of the Underworld) (ハデスの蛇, Hadesu no hebi): Persephone by simply raising one hand violently makes snakes appear from the ground and immobilizes her opponent.

Ichor Helios (Blood of Sun) (血液誘導太陽光線, Īkōru heriosu): Like Hades, Persephone thrusts her spear forward while releasing a small electric shock. The force of the attack is such that it actually injures her opponent.

Equipment:

Spear of the Underworld: Persephone's personal weapon consisting of two twisted golden tips and a longer silver central tip, a light lilac colored pole weapon and a golden square tip at the other end.

Trivia:

The techniques which Persephone used, were named after Greek mythologies.

Hades was the husband of Persephone and the god of the Underworld.

Pomegranate is a fruit with kernels (seeds) inside. A couple of seeds were given to her by Hades before she left the Underworld, making sure that Persephone was going to stay with him.

Ichor is the blood of the gods and immortals, and became part of ambrosia which Heracles had drank.

Do you think Dorothy Fahn was able to keep a straight face while doing voice work for the character of Ms. Bustier, given the way the character is written and many criticism towards said character in general? In fact, how do you think any of these voice actors feel about the characters they have to portray, especially with Astruc's writing direction and the whole localization process, not to mention the value differences between the creator's home country and the U.S. of A.

It's hard to really say how any of the actors view the script, but it is funny to think that at least one of them was just thinking "You're getting paid to say this." to themselves over and over again.

❤️ The Animated Misadventures Of Chucky And Andy (CONCEPT) ❤️

🎉 Friends till the end! 🎉

I have been way too obsessed with this AU y’all. While I was drunk on water, I was thinking about that, “If there was a movie or TV show where Chucky and Andy were friends, I would definitely watch it” comment I made in my Child’s Play AU post, and being me, I felt like making that a reality… sorta.

I’ve been making tons of sketches of a hypothetical TV show based on my whole AU, and yesterday, I decided to draw this goofy ahh little mock-up of what it would look like if it actually became a cartoon. And oh boy, do I have so many ideas for this that I so desperately wanna share :]

So since Chucky ain’t a murderer in this, it’s a (slightly) more wholesome take on the series, but that doesn’t mean that I’m gonna water it down, make it more saccharine or kiddify it. There would be some crude humor, dark jokes/black comedy, and lots of strong language, mostly coming from ol’ Charles himself, since he is also iconic for his very “colorful” language. Basically, it would be an adult cartoon in the same vein as other shows like South Park or Rick and Morty, but a bit more toned down.

So while there’s no extreme violence, I’d still think the series would probably be rated TV-14, along with a DL warning for suggestive dialogue and coarse and/or crude language. As for which channel the series would possibly air on, I’m thinking that it would most likely be on SYFY, or maybe Adult Swim.

Now for the plot! The whole plot is basically the whole, “lonely and eccentric young kid finds a magical/supernatural creature or thing and becomes friends with it” type plot. Think Lilo and Stitch, or Ponyo, but instead of an alien or a goldfish, it’s a talking doll. And as I’ve mentioned in my Child’s Play AU post, the events that would happen in the show would be similar to that of a slice-of-life anime like Azumanga Daioh, or literally any sitcom you can think of.

Chucky tries doing something unhinged and outlandish, often dragging and coercing Andy into his shenanigans, but the both of them would get caught in 4k by Karen.

Here’s a little summary of what the premise would be; 

“Young Andy Barclay’s life changes forever once he gets a Good Guy doll as a present from his mother. Little did the both of them know that this doll is a little more special than the others. Join him and his foul-mouthed sentient Good Guy doll, Chucky in wacky hijinks in this fun and irreverent slice-of-life comedy!”

In the show, the only people who would know about Chucky’s coming-to-life gimmick would be Andy and Karen (of course), and a few of Andy’s classmates, since there would be some episodes where he would sneak him into school to show his classmates, and um… you can imagine how it would go down lol

Actually, at the time of writing this, I thought up this super cursed scenario where Andy brings Chucky for show and tell, and some other girl brings a Barbie doll, and Chucky starts flirting with it. Jesus H. Christ, I can’t unsee it 💀

Since this does take place in the late 80s (specifically 1988), there would, of course, there would be things like MTV, big poofy hair, neon clothing, aerobic videos, etc. I absolutely adore anything 80s-related, so you know I’m definitely gonna go hard with the retro aesthetic for this show. There would be episodes where Andy and Chucky are hanging out at the local arcade, and just them playing NES games at home.

And last but certainly not least, there’s the voice actors. Obviously, I’m gonna keep Brad Doriff as Chucky, because mans is absolutely iconic. Though I’m not really sure who the hell would voice Andy or Karen. I do kind of imagine Karen being voiced by Dorothy Elias-Fahn or Tara Platt, but what would be your suggestions?
