Desolate eyes fluttered down towards the pavement as the uneasy feeling from within only intensified. Seeing these devotees... it made this all feel the more worse. Seeing them all smiling, laughing, holding one another— it brought her a great feeling of isolation and, dare I say, abandonment.

A loud bellowing horn blared out from the boat, forcing the dame to lift her head up and turn her attention to it. Following this horn came a quick announcement, a voice, seeming to be the captain, called through with a—

❝ TEN MINUTES BEFORE WE'RE READY TO BOARD !!! please begin to form a line near the dock ❞

Crowds passed by Doris in a hurry, beginning to line up in their designated areas- but she, she couldn't. No matter if the announcement was telling her to move, no matter if they were almost ready to begin their sail; her feet stayed glued to the very spot she was at.

Frantically, she began to look over the others heads, trying her best to see if she could spot Edgar anywhere. As she waited, she kept letting people cut past her, seeming far more concerned about where he could be rather than her departure or place in line.

❝ Edgar— ❞ Doris murmured out faintly to herself as she kept peering around the thickened crowd ❝ Where are you... ❞

i am Pissed at the murdoch writers for this episode. the costumers did nothing wrong btw they're all incredible and so so skilled and have done all their research clearly because !!!!!!! the corsets look fantastic (except the weird one that kills people but like yeah) ANYWAY. the tone of the story and of the women who are against corsets seems for the most part not to be a "women should get to wear whatever they want; corsets or not it's their choice" but "these old fashioned ladies are so stupid to have been wearing corsets for so long when they obviously bend and twist and permanently disfigure your body terribly forever and also everyone tightlaces" which. AUGH. my 1 thank is that there hasn't been a tightlacing scene. (yet. god forbid.) and that is !!!! so annoying to say the least like for ONE thing tightlacing was not popular and people only did it to like. idk like the degree that incredibly fashionable people nowadays go to extremes to be pretty or whatever and for TWO thing the corset which is the killer is SO BULLSHIT WHAT THE FUCK

1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)

- Kate Bishop and her No Good, Very Bad Mission. Idk it just flowed easy and felt really good.

- Alternatively, for spice? I’m very proud of Crimson from her Palm. I may never write a hotter piece of smut in my life but I will surely continue to try.

16. What’s an AU you would love to read (or have read and loved)?

- I’m ALWAYS a slut for Actor AU or Politics AUs. Something about the power dynamics and plots in the latter always grip me by the throat.

33. If you write chaptered fics, what’s your ideal chapter length to write? Is it different from your ideal chapter length to read?

- I prefer writing shorter chapter fics because my attention span/inspiration doesn’t often hold for long enough to finish super long fics. Reading though? I can read fics of upwards 50 chapters easy.
