Hello there,
this is the first time I am posting something. I have many ideas that I want to write, from many fandoms
But I think I like this one the best so far:
It's a modern/university au with Star Wars characters, with a big cosplay war going on...
So... It would be a huge cosplay war between university students. With Comic Con or something like that coming up, everyone is busy making their costumes and getting their teams together. But just like within the Star Wars universe, there are problems. Everyone is trying to protect their favorite character and make the best cosplay to prove their character/team/theme is the best. Because whoever wins this bet gets the right to be the official cosplayer of the Star Wars company at these events, and the losers have to stop representing their character at events, college clubs, etc...
So it all started because of a rude bet and since then the whole community, friends and couples have been torn apart because of their views. Of course, no one wants to lose or admit they were wrong anymore.
It's affecting everyone in and around the university. But maybe that's what helps everyone realize what's really important.
They must survive university, the growing tension, sudden bursts of emotion, and win a bet while everyone is just a huge star wars nerd
But to get to the specifics:
Groups, characters:
- Anakin, Obi Wan, Ahsoka, Padme, Rex, Cody, Dooku, Ventress, Palpatine, Maul, so pretty much the Jedi Council and most of the clones.... They would be the team who live and die for the Clone Wars and the times around, prequel
- Mandalorians who follow the Way: Din, Paz, The Armorer, and those who live in the cover, foundlings, and those who later became friends of Din, e.g. Cara, IG-11, Luke, Grogu....
- And of course the Night Owls, led by Bo-Katan and the rest of the Mandalorians who served her
- Maybe from the Original and the Rebels, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, Lando, Ezra, Sabine, Hera...
How it works:
There are a lot of characters and relationships that need to be developed, and of course because it's an AU, minor major shaping is needed to fit the Star Wars world into the story.
So the main change would be how they know about their characters. I imagine that there are movies and series, but since I'm mainly informed about them, comic books/video games unfortunately wont be featuring now. And since the characters will be playing their own movie/series characters, they will never be named, which explains why they're called the same name.
For example, Anakin watched the Clone Wars and decided to be the character who is the General of the 501 and a Jedi knight with his own padawan, but he will never say that "I am Anakin Skywalker from the Clone Wars!" And since everyone here takes character role-playing very seriously, everyone knows their own or rival gang's character inside out, so you never have to introduce yourself.
How are they related:
- Since I want Anakin and Padme to be in the same time as Luka/Leia, they will probably be Anakin's cousins, but they are close enough, they are not in college yet
- I love the idea of Obi Wan, Anakin and Ahsoka being adopted siblings
- Also the whole Fett clan is some sort of brother/cousin relationship, I haven't decided who with who yet, butfor sure Echo and Fives are the Chaos Twins
- The foundlings will be little cousins, or brothers in some cases
Pairs/ships:
Mainly
- Anakin and Padme, together since Anakin's first year
- Obi Wan and Cody, chill boyfriends who look after their friends/siblings
- Paz and Axe bc im the kind of person who sees two characters fighting each other and go for enemis to lovers trope
Also
- Luke and Din bc they are Grogu's dads for me
- Leia and Han
- Bly and Aayla
- Fox and Rio Chuchi (not sure)
- maybe some Boba x Cal too
I may add more, but if there is something you would like to see I look forward to your suggestions
When and how?
I have no idea, because it takes a lot of planning, because there are a lot of characters and stories, but I'm trying.
I will post it on Ao3 as soon as its ready
Warnings:
- I'm not familiar with the American university system, not even with the university, since I'm not there yet and I'm from another country, so I'll try to rely on what I know and since this is my fic, there will be some changes from reality obviously
- since I live in a completely different country than America, I won't be able to give you exact descriptions of places and things, but I'll try
- also my spelling, as it's not my first language and I often use a translator, it can be a bit weird, but feel free to correct me
- I don't think I will write any detailed smut, but anything is possible
Well, thanks for reading, I'm really curious to know what you think about all this and if you have any suggestions...
I hope to update the news soon, may the Force be with you!

We Didn't Start the Empire parody lyrics
By Ames
In our celebration to wrap up all the Star Wars films in A Star to Steer Her By’s recent Shore Leave compilation, Ames went way out of her way to write up a full song parody. You know, for reasons. Welcome to: “We Didn’t Start the Empire”.
Here’s the official Billy Joel song “We Didn’t Start the Fire” to credit the artist and get a feel for the tune. You can listen to our parody at the end of our The Force Awakens episode here (song stuff starts at about 2:18:20), and follow along with the lyrics below! Sing along! Karaoke it with friends! Appreciate the meter in ways that will become a fixation! Rock and roller, cola wars, I can't take it anymore!

Star Wars: The Order of The Force

Two years after the events of Episode IX ‘The Rise of Skywalker,’ just as the state of the Galaxy seems to be at peace, a new enemy threatens the Resistance and its allies, now known as The Alliance of the Jedi Order. It’s up to Rey Skywalker to bring true peace and balance, not just within the Galaxy, but within The Force and within herself. Help from an old friend may be just what she needs in order to do it. Will they be able to make a reply to the taunt against The Force and all it stands for?

The importance of Star Wars and The Skywalker Saga
As I am writing this it is Oct. 21st 2019, the final trailer to the Star Wars Movie is supposed to drop sometime tonight. The Rise Of Skywalker is the final film in the Skywalker Saga of films which are episodes 1-9. If you have never seen Star Wars this may have some minor spoiling with plotlines, here is the importance of the saga. Also sorry for so much text I didn't want to do it week by week, sorry
Episode 1: The Phantom Menace
This is the 1st film in chronological order in terms of story. It deals with the introduction of Anikan Skywalker and Obi-Wan Knobi in story. It sets the way for Knobi to take young Skywalker as his own after Knobi's partner Qui-Gon Jinn was killed at the hands of Darth Maul. It also established Skywalkers connection to the planet Tattoine. This is the one that started it all (in terms of story not release date)
Episode 2: Attack Of The Clones
The 2nd film chronologically in story is Attack Of The Clones. Skywalker is older in this than he was in Episode 1, he has a relationship with Queen Padame and eventually got married to her. This continues the story of Anikan and Knobi as they fight the dark side but it also hints at Anikan turning to the dark side through him not being that empathetic when a village burned down. It also introduces Count Dooku which was a bad guy in the prequels.
Episode 3: Revenge Of The Sith
The 3rd film chronologically, this one is considered the best of this trilogy of films. It fully shows his full turn to the dark side by having him kill innocent children (that's his real turn) , and generally being a nasty guy. Also Him and Padame are expecting babies in this movie. Obi-Wan begs him to stay in the Jedi Way but he refuses. Things happen and they end up on this planet Called Mustafar and they have a big climactic lightsaber battle where Knobi has the higher ground and Anikan burns in the lava after he got his hand cut off. He is saved by Emperor Palpatine and his men and becomes Darth Vader, all while that happens Padame gives birth but dies shortly after, Birthing Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker.
Episode 4: A New Hope
This is the one that started it all but is the 4th film chronologically. It was our first introductions to Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and other famous characters. It picks up where we meet this character named Luke, he is a farm boy wanting more for his life when R2-D2, a droid, picks up a distress signal for Luke from Princess Leia, he then is trained in the jedi way by Master Obi-Wan and tries to save the Princess with others, and destroy the Death Star. Obi-Wan dies at the hands of Darth Vader and it fuels him to definitely take down the Death Star. He successfully destroys the Death Star and saved the galaxy. This is a great intro to Luke Skywalker.
Episode 5: Empire Strikes Back
This is the 5th film chronologically. After the 4th episode he is stranded on the snow planet Hoth, where he almost gets eaten by a yeti creature, he is also in the middle of a war between the Rebels and the Galactic Empire, he gets out alive. Alot of stuff happens (including meeting Master Yoda, Centering on his jedi abilities, and Han Solo being casted in Carbonite) when it is revealed during a climactic duel on the cloud city between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader that Vader (Anikan Skywalker) is Luke's father and he also gets his hand cut off. He is left with that revelation.
Episode 6: Return Of The Jedi
This is the 6th film chronologically. After the 5th episode, Han Solo is rescued from Jabbas Palace and rescues Slave Leia. Luke Skywalker lands on Dagobah (the planet that Yoda lives on) where Yoda ends up dying, leaving Luke devastated. The crew lands on a planet called Endor, where this race of creatures called The Ewoks take them as friends for the most part. While they play with the Ewoks, Luke believes that Vader can change so he encounters Vader, but Emporor Palpatine almost kills Luke, when Vader changes his ways and kills Palpatine, he then spends his final moments with his son while dying slowly because of his lack of oxygen. They all celebrate, the end, a fitting conclusion for this Section/trilogy of movies.
Episode 7: The Force Awakens
This is the 7th film chronologically. This picks up 50 years after the events of the 6th Episode. It deals with Rey, a loner on the planet of Jakku, where she meets up with Finn, A Stormtrooper runaway, and Poe Dameron, an X-Wing Pilot with a trusty droid BB-8. They try and stop Kylo Ren, Leader of the First Order, destined to avenge the spirit of Darth Vader and The Empire. There are other characters and events as Rey tries to find her real family, they meet up with Han Solo and his trusty sidekick Chewbacca. They end up in the Starkiller (the modern day Death Star) where Kylo Ren kills Han Solo which was actually his dad. Somebody gives Rey the lightsaber that Luke used for her to give back to Luke, this is where the movie ends. This is a great intro into the modern Star Wars movie
Episode 8: The Last Jedi
This is the 8th and at the moment last movie in the saga in chronological order. Rey gives the Lightsaber to Luke, which he refuses to take. He trains her the ways of the Jedi and she lays low at the island. Kylo Ren is caught in the middle of a time warp where they are barely moving. Kylo ren does try to kill his mom, Princess Leia, via ship bombing but he couldn't do it so somebody else did it for him and he was sad. The crew land on a far away rebel base on a planet Crait, but the First order followed and there was a big climactic battle between the two. Luke Skywalker creates a force ghost which provides the Jedis to escape while they shoot at Skywalker which kills him. So far this is the end of the Skywalker Saga of course until the Rise Of Skywalker comes out on December 20th.
Conclusion
As you may be able to tell I really like Star Wars, this is my recap of the Skywalker Saga and how they are important to each other. Sorry for so much words but I had to imo. Anyways I hope you enjoyed it, have a good week

Star Wars Day- A Memorial
Happy National Star Wars Day, everyone!
Last year, I commemorated this day by beginning a 14 week-long project, in which I reviewed all existing Star Wars movies.  Of course, since Episode 9- Rise of Skywalker won’t be out until December, it will be a while longer before I can review that one.
So this year, I decided to take a moment to look back and remember all the Star Wars cast and crew we have lost throughout the years.  Because without their time and talent, the timeless saga might never have become the phenomenon it has become.

Star Amatuers Think in Cosmo-tactics; Space Professionals Think in Astro Logistics
I wanted to jot this down before I forgot about it.   I’ve been reading the original Marvel comics run of Star Wars, which was published alongside the original movie trilogy.  I just finished #50, a few issues beyond Marvel’s comic adaptation of The Empire Strikes Back.
One of the things I’ve noticed is that the writers have some difficulty figuring out how to use Darth Vader.  The early issues had a general idea how to proceed from the close of the first movie.   Han and Chewbacca are fixated on settling their debt to Jabba the Hutt; Leia and Luke are anxious to find a new rebel base now that the Empire knows they’re on Yavin IV; and Darth Vader wants to identify and capture the Force-sensitive pilot who destroyed the Death Star.
Curiously, the Empire does not stage a full-scale assault on Yavin in the old Marvel comics.    The first time we see Vader in the comics after the movie, he’s aboard a Star Destroyer, searching for leads on the rebels, but he has no interest in going to Yavin IV, where they keep all their stuff.   A chance disturbance in the Force leads him to the main cast on a space casino called “The Wheel”, but Luke manages to give him a psychic haymaker while his guard is lowered, and the gang manages to escape.
Later, it’s established that the Tagge family has decided to tackle the rebels themselves, as part of a bid to curry favor with the Emperor.   They blockade the Yavin system, and deploy a number of secret weapons, which Luke has to destroy.   Vader then lures Luke into a byzantine plot of his own, which involves a diplomatic mission where envoys from the Empire and Rebel Alliance have to convince an influential religious order to choose  sides in their war.   Vader is the imperial representative, and Luke is manipulated into being the envoy for the rebels.   Ultimately, the entire summit serves as a way for Vader to test Luke’s skills with the Force.   When the adventure is over, Han wonders why Vader went to so much trouble, and Luke reasons that Vader had to be cautious when dealing with Luke, because he had no way of knowing how skilled he was with the Force.   This explains most of the first 30 issues of Archie Goodwin’s Star Wars run.   His version of the Empire played it safe.   They had already lost the Death Star in a direct assault on Yavin.   They didn’t want to risk more of their resources trying to defeat the Rebels with brute force, so instead they played the long game, biding their time while Vader determined learned exactly what Luke could and could not do.
And this fits pretty well with Empire, where Vader assures the Emperor that Luke “is just a boy”.  By now, he’s had time to learn that Luke isn’t a match for him, which is why he’s willing to commit a whole fleet to attacking them.
After that, I was kind of curious to see if Marvel could get a better handle on Vader, with the benefit of two movies to work from, and the revelation that Vader is Luke’s father.   Instead, I got Star Wars #48, guest-written by Larry Hama.   It was a decent enough story, but kind of out-of-character, especially after Empire had come out.   I’m guessing that Hama wrote it before that movie, and they used it to meet a deadline.   The events of ESB are never mentioned, and Leia’s wearing her Episode IV gown the whole time.
In #48, Leia goes to a banking planet to take out a loan for new X-Wing fighters, only to meet Darth Vader, who has been assigned to imperial business on the same planet.   They do this whole song and dance where he sics thinly-veiled assassins after her, and she defeats them, with each of them managing to avoid the planet’s strict weapons ban.   Leia manages to secure her loan in the end, but Vader has the last laugh, as his real mission was to steal the Alderaan crown jewels, which Leia had put up for collateral.   I feel like Hama was just trying to set up a playing field where Vader and Leia could match wits in spite of their vast difference in power, but it makes both of them look kind of goofy.   Mostly, I don’t buy that the Rebel Alliance could just walk into a space bank and take out a loan, and the Empire would stand idly by and let that happen.   Besides, Vader is obsessed with finding Luke Skywalker, so it’s hard to imagine that he’d just let one of his best friends walk free, just to respect a planet’s sovereignty.
Still, this seemed to fit with what Goodwin had been doing with the characters.  Vader is way more powerful than the heroes, so the only way to get them all into the same story (without trampling on the movies) is to set up these kinds of standoffs, where Vader cannot or will not use his full power.   This requires setting up all sorts of tricky political situations where even the Empire has to watch their step.   It’s better suited to the Clone Wars stories of the 2000′s, where the Republic and CIS were more or less on even footing, and each side was desperate to win neutral factions to their cause.  I could totally see Count Dooku and Padme Amidala playing out Hama’s story.   With Vader, it just seems more in-character for him to attack or threaten the banking planet until he had whatever he wanted.   By this point in the Star Wars story, destroying Alderaan was a blunder for the Empire, but a surprisingly manageable one.   Vader didn’t need to play nice with anybody.
And yet, maybe it makes sense after all.   The real battles in the movies were all set in remote locations.   Leia’s capture takes place over Tatooine, Yavin and Hoth are out in the middle of nowhere, and Endor is way out in the space boonies too.  The common thread seems to be that the Empire and the Rebellion prefer to do their fighting well away from major population centers.   The comics run with this idea by depicting those population centers and making it clear that the Empire has to be careful.  The Wheel is given special immunity from imperial crackdowns, because it’s such a successful generator of tax revenue.   Monastery might not be a threat to the Empire, but they could cause trouble that the Empire doesn’t need.   And Aargau’s status as a space bank makes it too important to mess with.   Someone has to handle the money in the Empire, and if you upset their system, you’ll just end up having to establish some other system somewhere else, and play by their rules instead.
On the flip side of things, the comics keep using minor-league Imperial commanders as villains between Darth Vader appearances.   These guys always seem to share a frustration with their humdrum patrols, and a desire to score a big military victory to advance their careers.  Basically they’re the Star Destroyers assigned to the parts of the galaxy where the Rebel Alliance isn’t, and they’re bored silly.  So whenever they smell an opportunity, they shoot first and ask questions later, which is probably the sort of attitude that got them exiled to the periphery in the first place.
Okay, I guess I did more than “jot” something down.  I guess the point I wanted to record is that it makes a lot of sense for a galactic-scale civilization to pick its battlefields carefully.   No matter how asymmetrical the war might be, both sides would want to avoid fighting in a place they might regret destroying later on.  The Clone Wars sidestepped this idea, mainly because total war was the only sure way to secure an advantage, but the Rebels are trying to disrupt the Empire, not demolish its civil infrastructure.    Meanwhile, the Empire is trying to crush the Rebellion without inciting new ones to take its place.

Appearances
Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker appears in seven of the live-action Star Wars films, the animated series The Clone Wars (including the film), Rebels, and the micro-series Clone Wars and Forces of Destiny. He also has a main and recurring role in games, comics, books and the non-canon Star Wars Legends material.
Feature films
Original trilogy
Darth Vader first appears in Star Wars (later retitled A New Hope) as a ruthless cyborg serving the Galactic Empire.[43] He is tasked, along with Grand Moff Tarkin, with recovering the secret plans for the Death Star superweapon, which were stolen by the Rebel Alliance. Vader captures and tortures Princess Leia, who has hidden the plans inside the droid R2-D2 and sent it to find Vader's former Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi on the planet Tatooine. During Leia's rescue by Obi-Wan's allies Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, Vader strikes down Obi-Wan in a lightsaber duel. Having placed a tracking device aboard their ship, the Millennium Falcon, Vader is able to track down the Rebel base on the planet Yavin 4.[71] During the Rebel attack on the Death Star, Vader boards his TIE fighter and attempts to shoot down Rebel X-wing fighters, but Solo intervenes and sends Vader's ship spiraling off course, allowing Luke to destroy the Death Star.
In The Empire Strikes Back, Vader becomes obsessed with finding the Force-sensitive Luke[71] and leads an Imperial attack on the Rebel base on Hoth, which the Rebels escape. While conversing with Emperor Palpatine via hologram, Vader convinces him that Luke would be a valuable ally if he could be turned to the dark side. Vader hires a group of bounty hunters to follow Luke's friends, and negotiates with Bespin administrator Lando Calrissian to set a trap for them in order to bait Luke.[71] After Han, Leia, Chewbacca, and C-3PO arrive, Vader tortures and freezes Han in carbonite and gives him to the bounty hunter Boba Fett.[71] When Luke arrives, Vader overpowers him in a lightsaber duel, severing his hand. Vader tells Luke that he is his father, and tries to persuade him to join the dark side and help him overthrow the Emperor. Horrified, Luke escapes through an air shaft. Vader telepathically tells Luke that it is his destiny to join the dark side.[71]
In Return of the Jedi, Vader and the Emperor supervise the final stages of the second Death Star's construction.[71] Thinking that there is still good in his father, Luke surrenders to Vader and tries to convince him to turn from the dark side. Vader takes Luke to the Death Star to meet the Emperor. While there, Palpatine tempts Luke to give in to his anger, which leads to Vader dueling with Luke once again.[71] Realizing that Leia is Luke's twin sister, Vader threatens to turn her to the dark side if Luke will not. Furious, Luke overpowers Vader and severs his father's robotic hand. The Emperor entreats Luke to kill Vader and take his place. Luke refuses and the Emperor tortures him with Force lightning. Unwilling to let his son die, Vader throws the Emperor down a reactor chute to his death, but is mortally electrocuted in the process.[71][72] The redeemed Anakin Skywalker asks Luke to remove his mask, and admits that there was still good in him after all as he dies peacefully in his son's arms.[72] Luke escapes the Death Star with his father's body and cremates it in a pyre on Endor. As the Rebels celebrate the Death Star's destruction and the Empire's defeat, Luke sees the spirits of Anakin, Yoda, and Obi-Wan watching over him.[72]
Prequel trilogy
In Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, which takes place 32 years before the original Star Wars film, Anakin appears as a nine-year-old slave[73] living on Tatooine with his mother Shmi. In addition to being a gifted pilot and mechanic, Anakin has built his own protocol droid, C-3PO. Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn meets Anakin after making an emergency landing on Tatooine with Queen of Naboo Padmé Amidala. Qui-Gon learns from Shmi that Anakin was conceived without a father and can foresee the future. Qui-Gon senses Anakin's strong connection to the Force and becomes convinced that he is the "Chosen One" of Jedi prophecy who will bring balance to the Force. After winning his freedom in a podrace wager, Anakin leaves with Qui-Gon to be trained as a Jedi on Coruscant, but is forced to leave his mother behind. During the journey, Anakin forms a bond with Padmé. Qui-Gon asks the Jedi Council for permission to train Anakin, but they sense fear in the boy and refuse. Eventually, Anakin helps end the Trade Federation's invasion of Naboo by destroying their control ship. After Qui-Gon is killed in a lightsaber duel with Sith Lord Darth Maul, Qui-Gon's apprentice Obi-Wan promises to train Anakin, with the Council's reluctant approval.[72] Palpatine, newly elected as the Galactic Republic's Chancellor, befriends Anakin and tells him that he will watch his career "with great interest".
In Episode II: Attack of the Clones, which takes place 10 years after The Phantom Menace, Anakin is still Obi-Wan's Padawan apprentice. After rescuing Padmé from an assassination attempt, Anakin travels with her to Naboo as her bodyguard, and they fall in love. Sensing that Shmi is in pain, Anakin travels with Padmé to Tatooine to rescue his mother. While there, Anakin learns from Shmi's husband Cliegg Lars that she was kidnapped by Tusken Raiders. Anakin locates Shmi at a Tusken campsite, where she dies in his arms. Anakin, enraged, massacres the Tusken tribe and returns to the Lars homestead to bury Shmi.[72] Anakin then travels with Padmé to Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan from Sith Lord Count Dooku. Dooku captures the trio and sentences them to death. However, a battalion of Jedi arrives with an army of clone troopers to halt the executions. Obi-Wan and Anakin confront Dooku, but the Sith Lord beats them both in a lightsaber duel and severs Anakin's arm. After being rescued by Yoda, Anakin is fitted with a robotic arm and secretly marries Padmé.
In Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, set three years after Attack of the Clones, Anakin is now a Jedi Knight and a hero of the Clone Wars. He and Obi-Wan lead a mission to rescue Palpatine from Separatist commander General Grievous. The two Jedi battle Count Dooku, whom Anakin kills at Palpatine's urging. They rescue Palpatine and return to Coruscant. Anakin reunites with Padmé, who tells him that she is pregnant. Although initially excited, Anakin has prophetic visions of Padmé dying in childbirth.[72] Later, Palpatine reveals to Anakin that he is the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, and says that only he has the power to save Padmé from dying. Anakin reports Palpatine's treachery to Jedi Master Mace Windu, who confronts and subdues Palpatine. Desperate to save Padmé, Anakin disarms Windu, which allows Palpatine to kill the Jedi Master. Anakin pledges himself to the Sith, and Palpatine dubs him Darth Vader.[72]
On Palpatine's orders, Vader kills everyone in the Jedi Temple and assassinates the remaining Separatist leaders on the volcanic planet Mustafar. A distraught Padmé goes to Mustafar and begs Vader to return to the light side. Vader refuses and asks her to help him overthrow Palpatine so they can rule the galaxy together. Seeing Obi-Wan on Padmé's ship, and thinking they have conspired to kill him, Vader uses the Force to choke Padmé into unconsciousness. Obi-Wan engages Vader in a lightsaber duel that ends with Obi-Wan dismembering Vader and leaving him for dead on the banks of a lava flow, severely burned. Palpatine finds Vader and brings him to Coruscant, where his apprentice is resuscitated and his mutilated body rebuilt with the black armor first depicted in the original trilogy. Palpatine tells Vader that he himself killed Padmé in his rage, and Vader screams in agony. At the end of the film, Vader supervises the construction of the first Death Star alongside Palpatine and Grand Moff Tarkin.
Sequel trilogy
Vader's melted helmet appears in The Force Awakens (2015), in which Vader's grandson Kylo Ren is seen addressing him, though Vader does not appear in the film. At one point, his helmet was considered as the film's MacGuffin.[74] Footage of the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) shown at a Disney shareholders event also includes the helmet.[75]
The Clone Wars(film)
In the 2008 3D animated film The Clone Wars, Yoda assigns Ahsoka Tano as Anakin's Padawan apprentice, which initially frustrates Anakin. Anakin calls her "Snips" for her "snippy" attitude and Ahsoka calling him "Skyguy" as a pun on his surname.[72] After earning Anakin's respect during a dangerous mission, Ahsoka joins him on a quest to rescue Jabba the Hutt's infant son, Rotta. Her impetuousness both annoys and endears her to her master, and Anakin develops a friendly affection for his apprentice.
Anthology films
In the first anthology film Rogue One, Vader makes a cameo appearance in which he meets with Imperial weapons engineer Orson Krennic, who asks him for an audience with the Emperor regarding the Death Star which Krennic lost command of to Tarkin. Vader refuses, however, using the Force to humiliatingly choke him, and ordering him to ensure that the Death Star project has not been compromised. At the end of the film, Vader boards the disabled Rebel flagship Profundity with a cadre of Imperial stormtroopers and kills several Rebel soldiers as he attempts to recover the plans. However, the docked blockade runner Tantive IV escapes with the plans, setting up the events of A New Hope.
