i know this is an extremely old lady thing to complain about but
1.) i really hate the weird manipulative tone here. no i am not "taking a break", i made one order because i accidentally shrunk a really good cardigan in the wash and in the 4 or so days since I've ordered it ive received up to 3 trash ad emails from target. absolutely unrelenting
2.) you cannot seriously look me in the eyes and tell me it genuinely takes 10 days to fucking unsubscribe. don't piss in my face and say it's the rain you cock suckers. you are fucking with me. i do not need 30 more emails that im going to delete anyway. I'm just going to block your shitty company entirely. neck yourselves

btw idk if people are aware of this but there's nothing preventing you from going on to tumblr.com and posting as if you have any idea what you are talking about. like no one will stop you. you can just do that. it's 100% free.

this might sound dumb, but listening to WizBru and in particular hearing Holden talk about the times he, as the children say, put his whole pussy into some pop culture phenomenon and had a great time with it, has kinda changed how I take on things like that and has increased my enjoyment 1000%.
like idk, it might particularly be bc he's a 40 year old dude who's embracing fun and often "girly" things instead of being derisive and superior, admittedly. bc there are a lot of those kinds of dudes in my day-to-day life and seeing a dude be not only Chill but Enthusiastic is a nice change. also might be because I come from tumblr where everyone's shitting on anything popular and a little silly the instant it comes into existence.
but listening to him talk about how he wholeheartedly loves Blackpink and thinks they're super cool, or how he started a singalong at the tswift concert movie, or wearing pink and going to Barbie, or just...anything. is like. oh right sometimes pop culture is just for fun and you can just have fun and be in the Fun Space for a while and you can still critically examine it but also just. have fun. and let having a good time be a profound experience for you.

I think finally understanding how differently I act when masking VS when not was a delight. I mean, I don't act on it consciously most likely, but I have been wondering abt it for a while so coming to a conclusion at least brings me some kind of satisfaction.
I noticed that when I unmask my voice gets significantly deeper and slower, I don't mind sitting in weird positions around the person (or people) I'm with and I allow myself to be more excited or emotional about stuff that I like. And with that, I also struggle less with eye contact.
When I do mask however I speak in a significantly higher tone (that I myself hate), try to make myself as small as possible during the conversation, and just stare into the void a lot. AND I stare more at my phone a lot more.
Idk if I'll ever be able to change this or if I even want to, since I'm pretty closed off and wouldn't unmask around others I don't feel a 100% safe with. The thing is that with my masking also comes a lot of infantilization cus it's like I make myself as less threatening as possible and my clothing style + overall features don't make me look 20 (because we all know that a frilly skirt suddenly makes you a child, heh), so I'm conflicted on how to feel about it...

just played this UQuiz which gives you a fun stereotypical straight person to be. and forces you to be homophobic.
I don't love the way people on site talk about straight or cis ppl as being fundamentally unimprovably homo/transphobic. it just isn't true of the people I've met.
It's essentialism and it's therefore wrong.
