Herb Guide for Warrior Cats: Epilepsy
Requested by an Anon!
A guide to providing treatment to a Warrior Cat OC with epilepsy. Still requires a bit of a leap in logic as nothing can replace our friend phenobarbital, BUT, if you would like herbs and strategies for managing a Warrior’s epilepsy, this guide is for you.
I researched herbs historically used for epilepsy, chose plants growing wild in a ‘common’ clan biome (temperate Europe and North America), and removed things that a cat could not use. Because of the nature of epilepsy, I also delved into some other treatments and strategies your medics can use!
So, keep in mind, this guide is written for a Clan doctor treating an epileptic cat. NOT from the perspective of a patient who has it.
I would recommend doing extra research into first-hand accounts of what it’s like to live with epilepsy when creating your patient character.
Disclaimer Time! I tried to filter out as much ‘quackery’ as possible, but remember that I am not a vet nor do I have formal training in pharmacognacy. You are also not a vet. This is for fake battle cats. LOOK AT ME. YOU WILL NOT USE THIS ON YOURSELF OR A REAL ANIMAL.
Below the cut is:
What is epilepsy?
Diagnostics
Non-herbal treatments
Managing the different types of seizures
Preventative herbs
What is epilepsy?
‘Epilepsy‘ is the broad term for dozens of different disorders, resulting in recurring epileptic seizures. A warrior could be born with it, develop it over time, or get it after recovering from brain injury (stroke, infection, head trauma, etc).
Epilepsy also varies wildly, and can be so mild it’s hard to detect, or so severe it could put the cat in too much danger to do warrior duties at all. For most cases, however, the warrior would still be able to do normal tasks* as long as they don’t hunt or patrol alone.
* = Head injury and stress from fighting can worsen epilepsy. Going on battle patrols is a risk the warrior must be made aware of.
Diagnostics
So before anything else, your medic will want to identify what triggers the seizures, if anything. There isn’t always an identifiable trigger such as a flashing light/quickly moving object, but seizures can be made worse by stress, lack of sleep, or hunger. Taking note of the warrior’s state preceding a seizure would be extremely helpful for treatment.
Does Wheatwhisker seem to have more seizures when she’s doing certain activities? When she has one, did she sleep well the night before? What has she been eating lately? She may be able to feel it coming-- including sudden intense emotion, an oncoming headache, hot or cold sensations, so on.
Like dogs, cats can detect oncoming seizures. A good medicine cat would take note of all the behavior before its onset to reduce their frequency.
NON-herbal treatments
Once correlation and causes have been identified, the medicine cat should have some lifestyle changes to suggest.
For example, Wheatwhisker has more seizures when she is tired, so the medic prevents her from going on dawn patrol. They’re sometimes triggered by the fluttering of bird wings, so she’s been told to hunt small mammals instead.
A change in diet can also reduce the frequency of seizures. Fatty foods specifically, such as red meat, eggs, and large fish. Trout and carp would be the two easiest* things for a warrior to hunt on a regular basis-- though if the given Clan can’t catch those, it may be worth it to consider trade with another group.
* = If your warriors can cook with fire, fat drippings can be cooked back into the epileptic warrior’s meals. This would make the special diet much easier to prepare than always catching specific prey.
Managing the Different Types of Seizures
Generally there are three types of seizures- ones localized to a specific body part, ones that may seem like “daydreaming”, and ones that cause the well-known convulsions. Less severe seizures are more common.
Seizures do not usually cause pain on their own, except for fatigue in the muscle or headaches. Injury is sometimes caused by external forces, such as slamming against something during a convulsion, falls, tongue biting, or hitting sharp objects.
After any seizure, nausea or a headache may develop-- feverfew will soothe headaches, mallow or fennel will soothe stomachaches. Even if the Epileptic warrior does not take regular medication, the cannabis and valerian root mentioned in the ‘preventative herbs‘ section can be taken on occasion to help the warrior relax post-seizure.
-Localized
One part of the body (leg, head) seizes or convulses. Can usually be self-managed by the warrior, loss of conscious is uncommon. Rest in a quiet area would be the best treatment afterwards. If the muscle fatigue is bad, kneading the limb will help.
-Daydream
The warrior will seem suddenly ‘absent,‘ like they’ve left their body, for typically less than 15 seconds. They may simply wobble and stare ahead (even pausing mid-sentence), or seem to ‘faint‘ and fall over, but in any case they will not remember the seizure. Prevent them from falling on something dangerous, if this seems likely.
In many cases the warrior will just be able to keep going about their day in a few minutes, or even immediately. If not, just like before, let them rest in a quiet area.
-Convulsions
A panicked cat may make convulsions worse by fearfully running around as a seizure starts-- if a warrior MUST be prevented from doing this, it’s VERY important that they are not completely pinned or restrained. JUST kept laying down. Do NOT attempt to stop the convulsions themselves.
Such a circumstance will be extremely rare in a Warrior Cat setting, where the cats are capable of reasoning like a human. There may be a situation where an epileptic cat needs to be brought out of harm’s way-- that’s fine.
Clear the area of anything sharp or hard that the convulsing warrior could hurt themselves on, like stones, or brambles. Roll them onto their side, if they aren’t already. Lastly, cushion their head with something soft, like moss, if possible.
After the seizure is over, the warrior will probably be disoriented and confused. Don’t overwhelm them or offer food or water until they’re fully alert again. Once they do, they might have partial paralysis, nausea, muscle soreness, a bitten tongue, or any variety of symptoms. Just like before, bring them to a quiet area to rest.
If your warriors wear restrictive accessories, such as belts or collars, the medicine cat will remove or loosen them during a seizure if possible.
-what NOT to do
There’s some harmful ideas out there you may have encountered, so here’s some things to keep in mind your medics would NOT do to treat a cat having convulsions:
They would NOT pin them down (this even happened in the books once yikes) Why: This could cause injury to both the restrained, and the restrainer.
They would NOT put anything in their mouth Why: Could damage their teeth or jaw, it does not prevent them from biting their tongue. (also; while tongue biting is common, it is a total myth that an epileptic will choke on/swallow it)
They would NOT start firing out questions as soon as the seizure is over Why: The warrior will likely be disoriented, and not in a state to answer properly. Give them a minute.
Preventative Herbs
Once a seizure is happening, it will have to play out. Warrior cats do not have the medical capability to stop one once started. The anticonvulsant herbs here will help to reduce the frequency and severity of seizures... but they can’t eliminate them entirely.
Anticonvulsants will need to be taken on a regular basis. Stopping these suddenly will cause dangerous side effects; if the warrior’s epilepsy isn’t severe, or herbs are a scarcity for your Clan, it may not be the best choice to medicate them.
Chamomile
Common, and naturalized all over the world. In high doses, this herb will poison a cat. Careful preparation is required to make it safe for the epileptic warrior-- it needs to be steeped in water, like tea*. The leaves should not be eaten.
* = If your cats don’t have fire to brew tea, that’s fine, it can be soaked cold.
This herb also has a side effect of drowsiness. It may make the warrior lethargic and less responsive.
Cannabis
Cannabis is a golden herb for a thousand reasons, it can be made into rope, paper, cloth, oil... but, the thing of note here is CBD oil. Cannabis grows wild all over the world, but ESPECIALLY in North America-based Clans (where it’s called Ditchweed)
Ditchweed has high CBD content, and low THC content. This makes it safe for your warriors (and also prevents them from getting high). Your cats will NOT smoke it, which will damage their sensitive respiratory systems, they will eat it like a standard herb.
Because cannabis is a depressant, this treatment is best for warriors not involved in active tasks. Epileptic warriors that prefer calm, camp-related activities will use this herb. Den-building, tunnel digging, helping the medics, crafting if your Clan makes accessories, so on.
Valerian Root
Known as a sleep aid in humans, Valerian has VERY interesting effects on cats; this is the only Epilepsy treatment that can avoid lethargy entirely. However, in contrast to cannabis, valerian will mostly be found in Europe-based Clans.
(with both, however, it is possible to find each in the other continent.)
Valerian Root has catnip-like effects, perking a warrior up and often filling them with energy. There are some cats for whom this herb will act like cannabis, calming them down, but if there’s a choice, the Epileptic warriors who enjoy active tasks will prefer this herb. Hunting, fighting, patrolling, so on.

My lovely cupcake, I'm so sorry but I can't get that idea outta my head. So here is my request, perhaps it's your taste. Btw, you're inspiring, your stories are so beautiful, tsm!!!!!
Evan (or Eddie depends on who's your favorite) has a new neighbor. The problem is, she has a dog and dogs are not allowed in their apartment complex. She lives right next door to him, so hears her dog barking sometimes. When the barking disturbes his sleep once more he tells her in a not so friendly manner. What he doesn't know is that it's her assistance dog. You can chose a sickness, could be something with her heart or epilepsy, btw I love all your epilepsy stories. Somehow he gets to know the reason why her dog is allowed and vital for her. We need some caretaker vibes and a good development from asshole to worried lovely firefighter 😁 some whump and drama. You know what I mean.
So my honey butter cake, that was a part of my brain. Thanks, over and out
AAAHHHH!
This was such an amazing request thank you so much for sending it in! I hope you like what I came up with, I will do a follow up part for it as well when I can.
Enjoy.

I saw you were answering asks about service dogs and I had a question!
One of our dogs Maxwell (white beast in my icon) recently developed seizures. Our vets think it's probably epilepsy, and it's only happened twice (always after he vomits). It happens so rarely that we're not worrying about meds right now and just keeping an eye on him.
Anyways, our other dog doesn't know what to think of that so he stands there and barks at Max.
It made me curious, do people ever train medical alert dogs for other dogs instead of people? Like, if one dog has epilepsy can they train another dog to alert when they're having a seizure?
We don't really need Blackjack to alert us because we never leave them in the yard unsupervised and obviously will see him getting ready to have a seizure but him barking at Max's seizures made me curious.
For seizures, no, not really.
It's still really not well known what the dogs are reacting to when they react to someone about to have a seizure. There's a lot of supposition but not actual hard science as of yet iirc. So it's not really possible to train a dog to alert to a human that is about to have a seizure. The dog either will or won't. Which also means that it's not really possible to do it for other dogs either. The other dog either will or won't tell you that your dog is going to have a seizure.
That being said, I have seen this for other disabilities. Largely blindness and deafness, though I've seen some for missing legs and things too. A really common one is getting a dog with serious fear a buddy for moral support- done right, it can be really helpful. Done wrong, now you have two really fearful dogs instead of just one. But I *have* seen it help.

More Lab Rats Headcanons
Other than S-1 & S-3, all of Krane's army were genetically engineered and held in artificial wombs until they were about five years old.
Because genetic engineering is very messy, all the bionic kids have health issues and birth defects that get worse as they grow older. Adam, Bree, Chase, and Daniel are better off because Douglas is very skilled, but Krane's army... not so much. Plus, since I also headcanon that Douglas is abc&d's biological egg donor and that mental illness/neurodivergency runs in the Davenport family, that adds to the problem.
However, Krane was a terrible person, so any bionic child with a condition that left them unable to fight was killed off. Because of this (and because of other deaths), there are what are referred to as "The Lost", those missing numbers such as S-2.
Adam's vision gets worse and worse as time goes on. Using his lazers exacerbates the issue. He gets huge glasses that allow him to see a bit better and Logan, Leo, & Taylor personally beat up anyone who mocks him for it. Taylor helps him navigate the world as a blind person.
Adam also develops joint pain, memory issues, and anxiety/PTSD. The memory issues aren't too severe, he's had them all his life (ADHD), but they do worsen dramatically as he reaches old age. The PTSD & anxiety both really freak him out, because he's so used to being the strong, unbothered one.
Because of all these issues, he eventually gets a service dog.
Bree has hyperflexibility and an extremely fast metabolism, both of which cause her a ton of problems such as joint pain, fatigue, and the occasional migraine.
Chase has chronic back pain, and he develops asthma in his late 30s/40s, all of which eventually make him unable to go on missions. He also has an overactive immune system which leads to problems like allergies, hashimoto's disease, arthritis, etc.
Chase might struggle with type II bipolar disorder, though he doesn't realize it until he's well into his 20s.
EDIT: I'd like to add that Chase, and probably others whose bionics affect their brain chemistry, might have/develop epilepsy (epilepsy is caused by the misfiring of electrical impulses in the brain, Chase has a shitton of wires shoved in there, it makes sense).
Daniel is the worst off. His body has to be able to accommodate a wide range of abilities at a moment's notice, & it takes a huge strain on his systems. He was born HoH, and once his bionics are activated his immune system, metabolism, and joints are soonafter shot to hell. He probably has his "favorite" powers that he sticks to which would influence his issues, so it's difficult to say what he'd struggle with exactly.
The bionic academy has classes for the blind and deaf as well as ASL lessons because there is such a large population of Blind & Deaf/HoH individuals.
Because Taylor, Sebastian, and Leo weren't genetically engineered to handle their bionics, they take a bigger toll on their systems. For example, they have to rest after using their bionics, for much longer than the other students do, and they also glitch quite a bit even if they use their capsules.
On that note, Taylor & Sebastian's bionics are similar to Leo's in that they're essentially fancy prosthetics. Unlike Leo, they have a chip, but it acts as a controller for said prosthetics (so that the Triton app could control them).

Is A Maltipoo Dog Breed for You?
Tumblr media
50% Maltese, 50% poodle, and 100% adorable cuddle buddy, the maltese poodle, or Maltipoo, is a tiny toy dog for the masses. As playfully active as they are petite, these hybrid hounds will steal your heart and your last chicken nugget if you’re not paying attention.
Tumblr media
Bred as the perfect house pet, Maltipoos combine the sweet and sensitive nature of the Maltese with the shed-free coat of the poodle. If you need a lap-warmer, a nap partner, or a cutie-patootie to strut around the neighborhood with, you’ve found your match in this hybrid breed.
Tumblr media
How Big Do Maltipoos Get?
There are several sizes available: teacup, toy, standard
Height: 8–14 inches
Weight: 5–19 pounds
Since there can be a slight variance between the size of the Poodle parent, Maltipoos will, therefore, also vary in size.
Tumblr media
Common Colors
Cream, White, Fawn, (occasionally Black or gray)
Dog Breed Group
Hybrid Designer Breed
Coat Type
Scruffy to Curly
Tumblr media
Suitable for Apartments
Yes
How Long Do Maltipoos (Generally) Live?
Small dogs usually take the crown for the longest lifespan, and this pint-sized dog breed lives among royalty in this regard. Take care of your maltipoo, and you’ll usually see them thrive for 12–15 years.
Tumblr media
What Is A Maltipoo’s Temperament & Personality Like?
Maltipoos are loving and fun-loving dogs that will quickly grow attached to you and your family. They are even one of the most popular poodle mixes. In some cases, they can wind up a little too attached. The maltipoo is known as a sensitive snuggle bug and may develop mild separation anxiety if you can’t devote enough of your time. Give them plenty of affection and attention, though, and they’ll return it in spades.
Tumblr media
Do Maltipoos Need A Lot Of Exercise?
Despite this companion dog breed’s diminutive size, these furry little balls of energy need a fair bit of exercise to keep from going stir-crazy. If you can slot two 15- or 20-minute walks into your daily schedule, you’ll be able to give your pup the physical activity they need.
Tumblr media
 Good With Kids? Cats? Dogs?
The average Maltipoo is kind-hearted by nature, so you can count on this: if a kid, cat, or dog is friendly to your Maltipoo, they’ll be affable right back. However, larger dogs may scare the collar off a toy Maltipoo at first, so it’s best to supervise initial meetings and puppy playdates.
Tumblr media
Training
Perhaps due to their poodle parentage, Maltipoos are usually trainable little tykes. These are fairly intelligent furballs, so any misunderstanding is probably intentional.
As with all dogs, the recipe for training success involves a pinch of patience, a pitcher of praise, and several heaping handfuls of treats. And remember, the sooner you start with obedience training, the better.
These dogs are always eager to play, so incorporate fun into the training. Unfortunately, the Maltipoo requires plenty of time to grasp potty training fully (whether inside on pads or outdoors.)
Barking
A Maltipoo is likely to be a bit of a barker, making him a good watchdog. Most dogs are alert and often bark at anything suspicious but seldom show aggression
Tumblr media
Health Issues
Because Maltipoos are selectively bred from two distinct breeds, there’s a larger gene pool available. A bigger pool often means fewer hereditary health issues.
With that said, Maltipoos are still susceptible to certain conditions, including:4
Epilepsy
Collapsing trachea (a weak or pinched windpipe)
Patellar luxation (kneecap issues that can cause arthritis)
Retinal atrophy (which can lead to blindness)
Colitis (inflamed colon)
White shaker syndrome (tremors associated with their coat color)
Tumblr media
Food
A tiny mouth means a tiny belly—and that means a tiny appetite. Maltipoos only need about a cup of food each day, so a monthly supply of high-quality dog food should run you $25.
Tumblr media
The Basics of Grooming
The Maltipoo’s grooming needs will vary depending on his coat, but all Maltipoos need regular brushing. Those with the curlier Poodle coat require professional grooming every 4 to 6 weeks. Some owners learn to use the clippers and do the job themselves, but most rely on the pros. Either way, it’s essential to take proper care of the coat, because without regular grooming it will quickly become a matted mess that can cause painful skin infections at the roots of the hair.
Your Maltipoo’s ears need to be kept clean and dry, so clean them regularly with an ear cleaning solution recommended by your veterinarian. The rest is basic care. Trim your Maltipoo’s nails as needed, usually every week or two. Small dogs are prone to periodontal disease, so brush his teeth frequently with a vet-approved pet toothpaste for good overall health and fresh breath.
Tumblr media
Do Maltipoos shed?
This curly-hair dog sheds very little to none at all. Much of Maltipoos’ shedding potential is a result of whether or not their coat resembles their Poodle parent, who does not shed at all, or their Maltese parent, who sheds only slightly.
Tumblr media
Are Maltipoos hypoallergenic?
Maltipoos are one of the most hypoallergenic dogs you can own, making them great companions for people with allergies. While no dog is 100% hypoallergenic, Maltipoos’ lack of shedding and minimal dander put them close to the top of the list of allergy-friendly pooches.
Tumblr media
Toys, Treats, Beds, & Accessories
Treats and toys keep your Maltipoo happy and high-spirited. Here’s a sample budget to give you an idea of what you might spend on extras and essentials for this small dog breed:
Plush toys ($45)
Tasty treats ($40/year)
A small dog bed ($30–50)
A leash and collar ($30)
Basic grooming supplies ($80)

NAME: The Urge
NICKNAME: The Urge, the pale armed one, the honored one, Mother of Evil, Ox-Eye (Gortash)
• GENDER: Gender - What Is It?
• STAR SIGN: ♊️ ☀️ ♑️🌙 ♋️🌅
• HEIGHT: 7’5 ft
• ORIENTATION: Gay, but you gotta guess what that means
• NATIONALITY/ETHNICITY: Changeling - Baldurian
• FAVORITE FRUIT: I feel like he likes cherries and plums.
• FAVORITE SEASON: Autumn. Everything is dying, the leaves turn brilliant colors, the air is rich in rot and smoke and cooking things. You can leave bodies out a little longer and they’re still good to collect a few hours later, most nights. There’s something forgiving about the chill on the cheek, something that wakes up as the rest of the world goes to sleep. Also one consistent, personal indulgence is the fragrant firewood he buys for his personal hearth every year.
• FAVORITE SCENT: Hickory, tobacco, sage, coriander, formalin, salt brine, blood.
COFFEE, TEA OR HOT CHOCOLATE: Tea offers more variety (and is easier on the purse) then the other two options. He prefers black tea - spicy and flavorful.
• AVERAGE HOURS OF SLEEP: Anywhere from 2-12 hours. He prefers to sleep longer, but is typically too busy or too plagued by dreams to really have a consistent sleep schedule. I’d say he averages on six hours on ‘good’ days.
DOGS OR CATS: Dogs!

For reasons.
• DREAM TRIP: Waterdeep - so much to explore, so much to get into, and no one to give him a honey-kill list. (He and Gale are busting out the hookah and the bong post game)
• NUMBER OF BLANKETS: Two - one thick comforter (even in summer) and one thin blankets.
• RANDOM FACT:
Develops epilepsy after his ‘little accident’ and has at least one focal seizure in act 2.

To anyone who needs to hear this today:
If your pet is dying of old age, you did a good job keeping them alive this long. If your pet dies with as little pain and suffering as possible, you did a good job. If your pet dies feeling loved and safe, you did a good job.
My boy Jamie (14, dachshund-pinscher-cat-demon-??) got diagnosed with lymphoma today. I got him when I was 19, in a dysfunctional relationship, with undiagnosed mental health issues, after just moving out and starting uni (not my most rational decision). He came from a Hungarian shelter, skin and bones, blind in one eye, full of worms and parasites, scared of every living and inanimate thing. He was never an easy dog. I was never an easy human. The experience of living with an animal that made my own fears and insecurities so very obvious was humbling, to say the least.
But I kept him alive despite his best efforts - in classic wienerdog fashion, he thinks the only way out is through (including humans on skateboards, rottweilers, horses, walls, trees...). He developed epilepsy and food allergies, but we managed that too. Despite it all, he was in great shape until recently, speeding around the garden, barking at his countless mortal enemies (hikers, deer, leaves).
Two weeks ago he got digestion issues (not rare for him), which never quite resolved, stopped running as fast, had trouble jumping on the couch... and two days ago I noticed swollen lymph nodes on his neck. Bloodwork confirmed lymphoma. He is getting cortisone and various herbal supplements for now - will consult an oncologist vet within the week. But he seems ok, he’s eating, walking, not in pain - that’s what matters most right now.
I can’t say how much time we have left, we’ll just take it day by day. My goal is to make that time as nice for him as possible, full of belly rubs and peanut butter and napping in the sun. When he goes, nothing will be the same. But I’m so grateful I got to share almost half my life with this stinky, anxious, stubborn, hungry, little creature - maybe he did not make my life easier, but he sure made it so much more complete!

Tidbits #2
Tidbit: Oscar Woods & the Orange Terror
Notice: this chapter of 'Tidbits' is reposted from it's original document of 2021, and may no longer be up-to-date with current headcanons.
-Oscar Woods is an original character of mine, who's still really new to the group, but is and has become Dusty's lover slash emotional support plane. He's a Curtiss P-36 Hawk (looks very much like Skipper actually, minus the gull-shape in the wings and a few other design things. But the bare-bones idea is similar on the exterior and esposed cowling).
-Oscar's main color palette, though NOT set in stone yet, is planned to be greys and forest greens, and potentially a touch of purple. I have not sold myself on this plan however, so I'll keep you posted if it changes. I need to make a reference image or three for Oscar first before I make any final final decisions.
-Oscar is an asexual - and yes, before you ask, this does not mean he's "not allowed to date/be in love with/be romantic with Dusty". That has nothing to do with that, it just means he has a lack of sexual attraction. He does not, however, lack romantic attraction for the crop duster. Oscar is as one would say, an Ace of Hearts: that is, a romantic asexual. He will cuddle and kiss the crap out of Dusty, and he enjoys doing so. He just doesn't have the overwhelming desire to want to fuck him, that's literally it. (And Dusty doesn't mind that, either; his own libido isn't the strongest anyways, so really he just relieves that on his own terms.)
-Going back to the paint job/livery idea, since he's an ace I may incorporate spades, hearts, or just card suites in his design. It's a work in progress, y'all leave me be, I'm tired.
-Dusty (headcanon name Dustin Liam Crophopper - not sure if some of you guys knew that) has himself an older brother by about four years, named Chase. Oscar and Chase are...devious, together. It might actually be reccomended that they are never in the same space together, because they are relentless teases to Dusty - like seriously, they share secrets about his most ticklish spots and then go for the kill. It's all in good fun of course, but Dusty is always the target, always and forever.
-Though distantly, Oscar is actually related to Skipper. He's his (I looked this up so this is actually accurate) first cousin twice removed - AKA, the grandson of Skipper's first cousin. He and Dusty meet by coincidence for this reason later on (details of which will be explained in a future fic!)
-[specific to the humanized variant] Dusty, after the incurable development of his epilepsy, ends up with a service dog, a Golden Retriever by the name of Amber (based off of a real Golden Retriever my dad had of the same name - though, not a seizure response service dog). Oscar and Dusty both love her to pieces, and Oscar totally doesn't see it as a huge bonus when it comes to dating and living with Dusty. XD

Apologies if @fsawt or @lius-extreme-ennui has a headcanons or "fanon" account but would they accept these disability headcanons, btw I am disabled.
Monoma has pseudobulbar affect and NOS-Mood disorder.
Midoriya developed a panic disorder due to Bakugou's bullying
Todoroki has cPTSD
Koda, Tamaki and Nirengenki have anixety
Kamikiri has Gender dysphoria
Ojiro has Epilepsy
Ochaco's quirk causes her to have Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome
Btw, @bnha-headcanon-requests hasn't replied to any of my request so I think this is the best next place 😅
For the sake of Fsawt, I will link not only their account but also the first post that asked something similar. And as for Lius, I am not sure.
Also, I think the Bnha headcanons request page has been deactivated since 2020, also it doesn't matter if you are a part said group or not as long as you are redesigning, headcanoning or fanoning a character respectfully and for fun (not to make a point against the creator nor to push an agenda)
P.S, please don't attack the creator of any series you are headcanoning/fanoning for (even if the hcs/fcs don't come true)
Mha account ➡ @fsawt
Post where this was stated and asked⤵ https://at.tumblr.com/ojiro-s-hellish-site/does-our-friendfsawt-like-this-headcanon-ojiro/8h66v7tnw8f6
Answer from @fsawt ⤵
"
I am everyone's friend unless stated otherwise. And this blog functions as my mha/general fandom blog—all non-language/non-edu asks go here.
I like those headcanons. For Ojiro, I feel like he'd either have a really normal pet like a goldfish or a dog, or a really exotic pet like a scorpion or something that nobody would expect."

TW: Animal Loss - This is long and detailed because it’s late, I’m alone, and I need to process my grief.  So please beware - there are very raw emotions in here.
My babygirl is gone.  I’m so heartbroken.
Her epilepsy finally got her.  Back to back seizures for over thirty minutes.  By the time we were finally able to find an emergency vet that was open and get a friend to come over and help my husband take her there, it’d been over an hour.
They stabilized her, but her prognosis was not good. She had a very high fever for an extended period of time, and likely brain damage.  Add on that we’ve been slowly watching her struggle more and more with balance, have less energy, and she still struggled with her anxiety - her epilepsy/mental condition was likely worsening, her environment was changing due to us getting ready to move, etc.  She didn’t run and play like she used to.  She had a hard time jumping up on the couch or even just getting into her dog bed.  She didn’t enjoy walks the same way she did before.
She loved to snuggle.  And she followed my husband around like a shadow.  But we knew her quality of life was slowly fading, and with this last major seizure event, we knew it likely would never get better, if not be permanently worse.
We decided to say goodbye.
My son doesn’t know yet. He’s asleep in his bed, and I’m in the living room in tears, as the aftermath of what transpired lays strewn across the floor.  I should clean it up, but I can’t bring myself to do it.
I’m going to have to tell him tomorrow. I’m going to have to explain to him that he’ll never see his dog again.  He knew she was sick, and he’s asked about death and we’ve talked about it before.  But he’s never experienced it.  This will be his first.  I’m glad he wasn’t awake to see her suffering.  But I also wish he’d been able to say goodbye, to understand why she won’t be coming home.
This little house feels so empty now.  All the little memories of her life here with us are strewn around the home.  Her basket of dog toys, her dog bowl, the brand new dog food we’d just had delivered.  I can’t help but think...if this little house of ours feels this empty, how will it feel when we finally move into our bigger house?  It has a big yard - much bigger than the one we have now. We were so happy because we know she loves to run.  But now that’s going to feel empty too. Her toys are at the new house. I took her there to visit it, but she didn’t want to play. She just wanted to hop up into our laps and cuddle.
We got her when she was 10 months old.  She’d had a bad lot in life. She was found as a stray, and she had behavioral issues due to past trauma.  We’re certain she was abused, may have possibly been a bait dog (a dog used to rile up fighting dogs before a fight); her canines were filed down, and she was terrified of people (except for us...she was always good with us, even from the beginning).  If you touched/grabbed her collar, she would yelp, nip, and cower. She wasn’t potty trained when we got her.  She would growl and bark at people she saw across the street. The sound of my coughing always scared her.  Just me, not sure why. Maybe it was a woman who had abused her.  I’d comfort her, and usually she liked that - helped remind her she was safe.  Other times, she’d prefer my husband, who she developed a very strong attachment to.  That was okay, too.  It was what she needed.
I trained her as best I could with the time I had.  I taught her tricks, which she picked up quickly.  She learned shake, touch, sit, down, stay/wait, off, come.  She knew ball and rope and would tell them apart if you told her to get one or the other.  She loved to play with her tetherball in the backyard, booping it with her nose and smacking it with her paws.  She did her doggy puzzles in record time, quickly getting all the treats out.  I took her on walks and had her sit and gave treats every time we saw another person across the street.  She never got comfortable with strangers, but she did stop barking at them.  Would even sit and look at me, waiting for her treat.  She eventually trusted me enough to let me clean her ears when she began getting chronic yeast infections in her ear. She got so comfortable, that she’d come seek me out, stand there, and stare at me forelornly until I took her into the kitchen and cleaned her up and gave her a spoonful of peanut butter.
Despite her trauma and her anxiety issues, she was good with my son.  Always good to him.  She was curious about him when he was a baby, would come snifff him and check him out, would lay down next to him.  Never bit him. Gave a warning nip once or twice when he crossed a boundary, but never so much as scratched him.  She helped me teach him about how to respect a dog, how to understand that they’re animals and we have to be careful.  How to read her body language.  He was learning how to do her tricks with her; she would do touch with him and he loved it.
She was imperfect - I’ll be the first to admit that. She didn’t get along with everyone, and not everyone liked her. But she got along with most, which was more than we could ask for, considering where she came from and what she struggled with.  She wasn’t an easy dog to have, but we loved her, and I know we did our best for her. She was sweet, she was smart, and she was beautiful. I wish she could have had a longer life.  I wish we could have taken one more walk, or gone on a hike once the weather cooled down.  She was seven years old, too young to leave us.
I’m going to miss her so much.

Hate to be that guy, but people need to know that borzois are at high risk to a long list of conditions such as bloat, heart disease, hypothyroidism, several cancers, epilepsy, etc. Most of all they're particularly prone to musculoskeletal injuries and jaw/teeth issues because of their extreme skeletal features. 80% of them develop dental issues before reaching adulthood. Their skulls are so elongated that people are already warning against breeding them, as pushing their features further will affect their quality of life (even more).
The more TikTok famous they become, the higher the demand, the more people will want to breed them for a quick profit. People who don't care about the dogs' health and well-being. People who will definitely breed them to push those unique features as far as possible.
Adopt, don't buy.

Plymouth Breed of the Week: Border Collies (and Tips on Collie Care!)
Tumblr media
Border Collies were bred to be some of the lighter, but smartest, fastest, and still assertive herding dogs one could find in their native Britain (at the time of their classification, however, their native breeding grounds were mostly in still-independent Scotland). And these skills are still visible for Border Collies at home. Whether taking in a puppy or even a slightly maturing Border Collie – they will be begging for space to run around!
This is especially important to keep in consideration for the young ones though – many vets, depending on the individual dog, will often recommend 45 to even 90+ minutes of walking a day in the first 5 years at least. 30-45 minutes a day is still recommended until late maturity. This is all to help promote movement around the joints and the proper development and maintenance of the bones and tissues around these joints. Even if you don’t have daily access to large parks, long urban or suburban walks (or even just playing around at a smaller park) should provide a lot of the same benefits.
Tumblr media
Border Collies are incredibly intelligent – the average border collie can remember significantly more phrases and objects than many other breeds! Some Border Collies have been on record to be able to identify 300 to 500 words, with one Collie, raised by South Carolinian Behavioral Psychologist John W. Pilley, being claimed to be able to remember over 1000 different objects by name!
They are emotionally very intelligent creatures as well. Despite being raised to herd, their constant contact with humans over the years gives them extremely curious and playful temperaments! Just be careful with small children or physically disabled members of your friends and family – they can be very energetic and jumpy and are easy to accidentally knock into people and objects! Thankfully they are not as prone to fighting or attacking humans – but watch out around smaller, especially wild animals! Despite their generally peaceful temperament, they can be known to chase and even sometimes kill small rodents like squirrels and rabbits in the wild.
Tumblr media
But Overall, Border Collies are a great addition to any person or family looking for an active and loving dog! They live longer lives compared to many breeds – so while there are medical issues to follow over time (such as arthritis, epilepsy, and eye/sight issues such as Collie eye anomaly), they will be a big part of the family for quite a long while!

Hello hello! Since you still have a few slots open, I'd love to join your 365 days event! I'd like to get a JJK matchup please (and TR, if you're accepting multiple fandoms) :D
Alrighty, so starting off, I'm definitely an introvert. I'd love nothing more than to stay at home all day & avoid people (gosh, I'm making myself sound like a complete hermit, lol). When I do go out & socialize, I like to present myself as a friendly person to others - despite the fact that I'm quite cynical & wary of most people. I'm very selective about whom I choose to trust & get close to, but towards those that I do trust, I'm extremely caring, loyal, accepting & protective. I also become super chatty + physically affectionate lol. Loyalty is definitely my strongest suit & once I've given it to someone, there's pretty much nothing that'd make me turn my back on them.
I pride myself in being able to accurately pick up a person's mood through their tone of voice (not so much through their expressions or body language), though if I sense someone's in a foul mood, I'll do my best to avoid them (loved ones included). I am an emotional person & cry easily, especially when stressed or being yelled at. Definitely don't like confrontations & try to avoid them when I can. As I take care of a family member w/ epilepsy, I've developed a very gentle side (not that it comes out much) + a tendency to worry too much. Also, super random, but I am not a morning person. Don't talk to me unless necessary within 2 hours of me waking up, or I'll become extremely grouchy.
As for hobbies, I love reading, playing the piano, writing letters, researching or hearing about crime cases (a bit morbid, but to each their own!), listening to classical or jazz, eating sweets & drinking tea. I also absolutely adore cats. I highly dislike dogs & bad hygiene or anything dirty. Unfortunately, I can't tell you whom I kin as I've never really felt that kind of connection towards any character & I've yet to be told by my friends that I resemble a certain character.
Annnnd, that should be it! Thank you so much in advance! <3
(P.S. Love your blog! Always look forward to seeing you on my dashboard. Keep up the wonderful work & make sure to keep yourself happy & hydrated! <33)
hello there bubs! before i start, we have things in common (which i thought is interesting) as morbid as it may sound i love love crimes documentaries and reading about them, and also cats!
the two characters i pair you with are the first characters that popped in my head and thought, yeah, you guys may work out. so for jjk i pair you with:
Gojo Satoru: you mentioned about being random and talkative and i thought that's quite similar to gojo our boy. i bet he can handle your randmoness and overall amiable personality. gojo doesn't mind gory and morbid stuff, which it turns you are interested in. so, i do think if there's anyone is willing to listen to him rant about headless corpses and bloody curses, it's got to be you. another thing, gojo isn't the type to express himself through facial expressions. he changes the tone of his voice depending on who and what he is dealing with. since you have a skill to determine someone's mood through tone shifts, you and gojo will understand each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and for tokyo revengers i pair you with:
Seishu Inui: this man has a clear grasp of reality, had a fair share of downs, and clearly knows how the underground life works. contrary to gojo, i paired you with an introverted fellow with a handful of experiences. these experiences are what made inui one of the most loyal characters i know. based from how you described yourself, i have an impression that you are kind, soft-hearted, and loving individual. hence, you deserve someone as like inui.

thanks for joining and thank for the kind words you said at the latter part of your entry, it means a lot! hope you enjoyed this ♡

Service Dogs Lead to Fewer Seizures in Resistant Epilepsy
Working with medically trained service dogs is associated with a 31% reduction in seizures compared with usual care in treatment-resistant epilepsya new study showed. Investigators speculate that the dogs may ease participants’ stress, leading to a decrease in seizure frequency, although they note this relationship warrants more study. “Despite the development of numerous antiseizure medications […]

Goddess, thanksgiving has sucked this year. No mom, a panic attack the day after thanksgiving that put me in the hospital where I learned I may be under so much emotional stress there’s a chance I’m developing epilepsy but they did absolutely nothing, had to miss going to the beach with my stepdad and sister, and just found out that they did have to go through with putting my dog down while I was in the hospital… people keep telling me just keep my head up and keep moving forward but it’s so hard. Especially when you find out that your dad and stepmom have told everyone in your extended family about your health problems so now everyone is sending mental health and s*****e watch facility pamphlets to my parents… finally got my heart under control and now I feel like bawling again…
