I've been watching some musical movies from the 50s and 60s and I don't really know how to explain this but i think musical movies have somehow become less gay than they used to be. like musical theater in general is definitely just as gay as ever but i feel that with the increased acceptance of open expressions of queerness onscreen (which are usually completely sanitised anyway) now filmmakers have become lazy at depicting camp and flamboyance 😭 so i can't have my cake nor can i eat it

Uk honestly guys unpopular opinion here, I know people are upset by the lack of ‘canon’ Huntlow being shown via a kiss or another romantic gesture but I kinda love that it wasn’t. I love seeing everyone’s content for them being together and in love, but I also like personally headcanoning them as a flavour of Queer Platonic and I like telling my sad little shrimp brain that that’s representation in their whole story all tied together by the lack of a kiss or explicit romantic display on screen. Like both options are amazing! But i like that both options are available for us uk?

Oh yeah it would make sense that both c!tom and c!wilb would both hallucinate, that stuff tends to be hereditary, I remember when my sis told me she was seeing shit and me going "oh yeah I also used to see creatures when I was little", anyways we think it came from out great uncle who is known for having seen ghosts , then again that may just be our fams religious nonsense

That’s really interesting! But if I can make a little correction: Wilbur and Tommy are not related in any comics/art I make. The last comic was going off minecraf lore where if you don’t sleep for 3 days phantoms spawn. (Which is also true in real life! Well not the phantoms exactly but if you are severely sleep deprived it’s not uncommon to start hallucinating)

Wilbur was extremely sleep deprived in pogtopia and wasn’t taking care of himself which led to him hallucinating phantoms attacking him.

Tommy sees Phantom Dream (Dream’s actual ghost) when he goes a few days without sleeping, similar to what Wilbur was dealing with in pogtopia (except this ghost talks and is a jerk)

whenever i set timers to like take a nap or something or a sleep timer on spotify the time has to be either :00, :15, :30, or :45 and if it’s not i will wait until it gets to that so that when the timer goes off it is at a good looking minute

idek I suppose I really like to explore fantasy from someone who's non-magical/can barely use magic and that's how I started to think about this original story that I've never ever talked about when someone gave me an inspiration.
