I have discovered Copics and I know some of y’all will be very happy to meet Doctor Death.
Basically, Doctor Death is from a universe where in his quest to save his mother’s soul, Victor von Doom essentially fistfought Death, then became Death. Now he’s fulfilling Death’s duties throughout the universe, and grapples not with Reed Richards but with a very angry Thanos (among other things). Which is always fun.

Detective Comics 29 (1939)
Tumblr media
We’ve had a few proto-supervillains so far--corporate nasty Stryker has a murderous henchman, a death-trap, and a vat of acid lying around, while jewel thief Frenchy has a monocle--but now, finally, a baddie with an actual title, not just a mean-sounding surname or a Gallic-themed nickname. Combining Stryker’s vague mad scientist motif with Frenchy’s love of corrective eyewear, here is DOCTOR DEATH, aka Karl Hellfern.
(Surprised no one has related him to Poison Ivy. Grant Morrison, were you asleep at the wheel?)
BTW, please do not read this if you are the Riddler, villain of this year’s The Batman, and have ever enacted an elaborate plot to get Batman to pay attention to you. It’ll be... it’ll be a hard read for you.

Yes, all you really have to do to get in touch with Batman is place an ad in the personal column. That’s it. It is canon according to the third Batman story ever.
Also, thirty minutes to change into costume? No wonder Batman’s so popular with the ladies. When Catwoman needs half an hour to put her make-up on and pick out a dress, Bruce is thinking to himself “yeah, that’s reasonable.”
Tumblr media
I’ve never heard of bats doing that. Why are we lying about this?
Tumblr media
“Huh, that seems really suspicious, but it’s the thirties, so fuck it, let’s go with that. Hey, you hear about this guy Hitler? He seems like a good egg!”
Tumblr media
And another one bites the dust. The real reason Batman doesn’t kill people? He can’t come up with any good one-liners. “You are the poor fool!” “Death... to Doctor Death!” Yeah, James Bond has nothing to worry about. Sorry, Bruce, but while you are studying ninjitsu and fingerprinting, maybe you should’ve taken some time to apprentice with an insult comic.

small concept doodle for doctor death… hes still Batman's first enemy ever in my au, but I like to think he actually does die when fighting Batman, more of his own fault with recklessness, but Batman never really forgot it and it forced him to be SO much more careful because he never shook that off.
Anyway I like to think he does end up coming back, I always imagine a plot where someone decides to revive a SHIT ton of gothams villains, and this fella is the first one since bruce is FUCKED UP when fighitng him
