i haven't actually seen a lot of this talk on tumblr (specifically in the dnkb/kbdn tag or any other tag really) but i just wanted to say that there is actually a difference!!

usually it's used in more eastern sites and what not but it is sorta hard for people who are accustomed to this tagging system to find what they're looking for (people have preferences!!)

so the first character (using my example it would be dande/dn) is usually the top/dom in the relationship (however it could be top/sub but top/dom is more often) while the second character (kibana/kb) is the bottom/sub

it's not necessary to use it but for other people's comfort i think it's a good thing to know :3

(however i do tag thigns as dnkbdn or kbdnkb when there's no definite top or bottom in my work)

tl;dr the first character in the tag is the top and the second character in the tag is the bottom
