A Teen Cups fanfiction, submitted by a follower

Mea Culpa - My fault

WARNINGS ⚠️ : suffocation, death (for this part) swearing, blood fight angst,

“There are many hospital stories… One of them… Is the following… I.. Still regret what I said that night…Its My fault this happened how much I wish I turned time back and erased what I’ve Done..*sighs* I regret…*gulp * all the things I said! ” Cuphead said drinking his beer and looking at the sea a few steps away from their home..

“It all began mounths ago.. And I fucking regret what.. I said..I regret what I had done! even thought he forgave me.. I can still see the pain in his eyes..to this day… There isn’t a minute where I don’t regret what I’ve done... A minute I don’t ask myself ¿What have I done? ” he continued..

.. A few months ago..

He came home from the casino drunk and dizzed he had smoked Marijuana and had some drinks more.

He came home laughing, dancing, swaying left and right.. Mugman was awake and waiting for him. Elder kettle was away for business he should come in the morning.

Mugman heard the door opening.. Cuphead entered inside. He closed the door. He left his keys and walked… Mugman got up and crossed his hands in front of his chest… A stern look on his face..

“You are drunk again cuphead I worry about you!” he was wearing his black sleeve less shirt and blue pants.. Cuphead looked at him and said in a drunk way

“Why *hic* da ya worry about me *hic* im fine actually *hic* im better than eva (ever) ” he slurred

“Cuphead please it isn’t healthy.. Could you please be more careful! ” mugman tried.

Cuphead asked “Why.. Do you care?"

Mugman replied "What do you mean?! You are my brother of course I care!” he exclaimed

Cuphead said nothing “….."

Mugman sighed ”*sighs* Cuphead please listen -“

"NO! .. YOU LISTEN HERE YOU LITTLE PIECE OF SHIT!” he snapped (ooffff cuphead got wild!) (OoO)

Mugman flinched his brother had never before yelled and called him like that..

“ITS BECAUSE OF YOU THAT I SUFFER… ITS BECAUSE OF YOU I AM THE WAY I AM YOU ARE SO DAMN PERFECT IM NOTHING IN FRONT OF YOU!! YOU HAVE THE WHOOOOOLLEEEE FUCKING ATTENTION AND I GOT NOTHING BUT SHIT! YOU. ARE. NOTHING BUT TROUBLE!! NOTHING BUT BAD LUCK.. MY BAD LUCK!! THERE ARE MOMENTS WERE I WISH YOU WERE NEVER BORN!! IF YOU DIDN’T EXIST!! IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER!! MUGS THE CUTE MUGMAN THE SMART ONE AND CUPHEAD? THE REBELIOUS ONE THE NAUGHTY ONE THE USELESS ONE EVERYONE LOVES YOU… IVE BEEN TRYING TO BE LIKE YOU BUT IM NOTHING LIKE YOU NO MATTER HOW MUCH I TRY.. ITS ALL YOUR FAULT.. GRANDPA LOVES YOU THE MOST AND WHAT DO I GET?! NOTHING BUT SHIT!!! w.. hy… Noone loves me? ” he yelled anger growing inside his chest ready to explode at any moment!

“You.. You don’t mean that… R-Right? That’s- that’s not true! You are as important as me! Grandpa loves us both! You are j-joking r-right? ” he asked .. His heart clenched inside his chest..

“OF COURSE I MEAN IT YOU BASTARD! DOES THIS LOOKS LIKE IM JOKING?!?!” Cuphead yelled furiously..

Mugman looked at him .. A few tears ran down his face..

Mugman went closer and took his arms.. “Cuphead please -” he said but he was interrupted by him

“DONT. TOUCH. MEE!!!!” *SLAP* WHY AM I STUCK WITH YOU?!?! *SLAP* IF IT WASN’T FOR OUR PARENTS *SLAP* AND OUR GRANDPA *SLAP* I WOULD HAVE ABANDONED YOU LONG AGO!*SLAP* YOU BASTARD! “ he pulled his arms away and slapped him hard on the face. Cuphead put his whole force in his hands that small cracks formed on Mugman’s face and Cuphead’s knuckles. He held his cheeks a few tears ran down his eyes *sob* *sob*. Some blood ran down from his lips. He felt it he shakily touched his lips. When he saw the blood he looked at Cuphead with a sad / heartbroken look on his face. There were cracks and bruises on his face..

"Cuphead let’s talk about this! ” he tried again with one hand holding his chest. He started wheezing and coughing. The pressure was too much for him to handle. Never in his life had he seen his brother like this. They sure argued like all siblings do! BUT .. Not like this. NOT LIKE THIS!! He even started questioning was he really his brother? Not some demon who disguised himself like Cuphead ?

Cuphead had enough! All the anger he held all this time came out… He was a volcano that had just erupted..

He said “THERE IS NOTHING MORE TO SAY! I HATE YOU I FUCKING HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!! " he punched him in the face bruising his eye. Then punched his nose. He pushed him. He fell down he put his knees on his arms so he wouldn’t cover his face. He kept hitting the poor boy..

” Cup..i…ts m…e! Sn..ap out… of it…..cup..*cough*cough*cough*cough *cough*“ but all cuphead could see was red… He couldn’t use logic that moment.. He got up.

Mugman was on his knees holding his bloodied nose cuphead kicked him.. In the chest .. ” I AM SICK OF THIS! *kick* I HATE YOU!*kick * I FUCKING HATE YOU!!!*kick kick * I WISH YOU DIE A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH!!!*kick* MAYBE LIKE THIS MY LIFE WILL BE BETTER WITHOUT YOU ON THE WAY!!“

"No.. No you…you… don’t.. m-mean that you.. d-don’t…. m-ean any of this! You are l-lying!” he said shaking his head in denial.. No. No.

Cuphead loved him! this has to be a dream. Cuphead loved him. Cup… Needed him… He cared for him… Right?…. Ri….ght….?

Cuphead yelled in incredible fury “AM I LOOKING TO LYING?! WHY ARE YOU DENYING THE TRUTH!? YOU WASTE OF AIR!!?!?!? WHY ARE YOU DENYING THE TRUTH!? THAT I FUCKING HAAATTEEE YOUUU!!!!!!!"

Mugman lowered his head.. His heart broken.. No.. No.. He closed his eye slowly .. Cuphead’s words sunk in. He started crying and coughing harder. These words shattered his heart ” ple.. ase…. Cup.. “ he pleaded holding his chest.

” You gonna cry you crybaby? “ he mocked

Mugman”...*cough* *cough * pl..please..s-stop.. “ he begged.. Cuphead looked at him "You are pathetic!” he said venom in his voice

He grabbed his chest.. And started coughing.. This time it was worse.. *wheeze* *COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH *

“Cup…head… Plea…se.. He..lp… me! I…Can’t …. breath..” he pleaded.. *COUCH COUGH COUGH HACK COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH*

“That won’t work on me mugs.. Im not buying it!” he said no believing him

“No.. Cup….head….pl…ease…i–ts not.. a…jo..ke….cup-*WHEEZE COUGH COUGH COUGH HACK COUGH COUGH COUGH HACK COUGH COUGH COUGH HACK COUGH COUGH COUGH WHEEZE *

Cuphead paid no attention.. He said” I want you to stop this sick prank! “ but poor mugman couldn’t stop. He was in trouble but cuphead couldn’t see it..” Im leaving when I come back I want you to have gotten your fucking self up and be to your fucking room! “

Mugman who was on his knees, held cupheads legs in an attempt to tell him that he needed help and that this wasn’t a fucking joke! He asked him for help because his nebulizer or inhaler wasn’t near..

Cuphead of course left.. Leaving him alone on the living room struggling to breath.. and… to live…

His knees gave up beneath him. He fell face down on the floor .. He was sweating a lot, his mouth opened trying to breath. He gasped. Tears running down his face both pain and inability to breath .. Cuphead stopped… and looked at him his face neutral. Mugman Begged him again stretching his hand "Pl.. Ea… Se…”. Cuphead’s facial expressions had shown a hint of mercy and sadness, but… He closed his eyes and turned his back. He ascended the stairs. Mugman heard Cuphead’s steps ascending the stairs. Then he heard him slamming the door..

He was alone.. Why?… Why?

Mugman’s face turned blue, his body arching up and twitching, his hands on his chest and neck… He looked at the ceiling..after 5-6 minutes of agony, anguish and struggle.. his movements slowed down.. Sadly.. Cuphead’s wish.. Was coming true.. He had a slow and painful death…he was suffocating to death…

*COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH HACK WHEEZE COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH cough cough cough cou…gh……GASP GASP GASP GASP GASP GASP gasp… Ga.. Sp.. *

He stopped moving his legs vividly, his movements slow, his hands relaxed, his left hand fell from his neck, slowly. His right hand rested on his chest..His body relaxed. His eyes slowly became unfocused.. Only soft gasps and groans could be heard..*gasp.. gasp..ga..sp ga..sp…g..a..s..p..* *whimper groan* He looked at the ceiling, black spots started appearing in his vision

.. Darkness slowly embraced him.. He was alone….

He slowly closed his eyes and let his final breath.. A long dying sigh.. Recalling Cuphead’s words «I hope you die……. Waste of oxygen…….. Bastard……. Nothing… Bad luck……. And the final straw?… I HATE YOU!.» .. he.. He… Hated him….. ‘Cuphead… I am sorry…please.. help me..Brother… I love you….'

He laid there. Unresponsive. Died and flesh blood on his face along with bruises and small cracks. He was alone..

Cuphead had passed out on his room unaware of what he had done..
