I made a HuaLian glitter tea candle holder of polymer clay. Well... I still have to work more precisely and all, but it was increadibly enjoyable to make something like this.
Ahh! Just lovely fair isle knit socks that you can DIY. By Mia Sumell, photo by Essi Lyytikäinen via Kaikkien aikojen joulu. These kinds of house lanterns or Xmas house decorations aren't what I grew up with, but they're a pretty nice addition to Christmas decor, I'd say.
🧶Granny square mittens [tutorial] I’ve added small charms, may be they’re cute? idk
🍵🐱 If you happen to read this in Melbourne, Australia (who knows?) there is a super cool place in Elsternwick called Glaze it where you rock up and paint any bisque-fired item they already have on hand (and it’s lots that they have!) They glaze it for you and do the final firing. Too much fun! My mug was ready in two days for a pick up, and it’s a rocket blast in ceramic terms.

🕯️Candle with beeswax leftovers and a thrifted tea cup. Slurpy-slurp!
🪡 I had a million of short-ish yarn pieces from various projects I’ve accumulated in a few years. I’ve tied them all together, made a massive ball and crocheted a small pillow for my bottom. The back is also made with leftover fabric pieces, and i’ve filled it with my wool felt snippets. Gee, I’m very thrifty.
Nevermind the shitty print job and the label not sticking right, but this is what I did with the votive candle I bought from Family Dollar four years ago with the intention of making a "saint candle"
I evicted Jesus from his own portrait for this background. Yes my GIMP skills leave something to be desired.
FYI Avery shipping labels don't work well with laser printers, the toner smears right off. I had to laminate the label in order to preserve it, thus the wrinkling.
I’ve been collecting enamel pins for a couple of years now, and sometimes I want something that is either too niche to already exist or is related to an uninvolved party’s copyright, or both.
To get around this I’ve dabbled in DIY pins before, hand-etching acrylic panes to use as molds for solder—don’t try this at home unless you know what you’re doing—as well as 3D painting onto flat bases, but both methods take forever, and the results have always been pretty ugly unrefined. I’ve recently started experimenting with 3D-printing and potentially combining it with silicone casting (don’t want to spend 50 bucks every time I want to try a new color or want to gift one).
Of course, my favorite horse bot has been on my To-DIY-list for a while, so I thought why not use this as an opportunity to test some new sizes and depths with the material.
The above drawing and 3D model are based on nostalgebraist-autoresponder’s avatar, which is itself an edited version of the painting Horse in Analogous Color Scheme by doni19.
imagine yourself aimlessly wandering the darkened halls of a seaside manor with this to light your way, the moon casting light through the open windows.
